How I think the knights would react if they walked in on Arthur and Merlin kissing for the first time

Leon: Quietly closes the door and stands guard outside so no one else disturbs them. If he has to leave he puts up a sigh saying "Poetry in session - Do not disturb"

Percival: Quickly backs out of the room apologising the entire time

Gwaine: Asks to join, gets something thrown at him, threatens Arthur to treat Merlin right, and finally leaves while talking about all the people who owe him money thanks to this

Elyan: Calls out "THEY'RE KISSING" while running away from the room

Lancelot: Quietly closes the door and slowly backs away down the hall. As soon as he's too far away for them to hear he's running to find Gwen and tell her everything

Percival: Merlin, I'm bored. What do you do for fun?

Merlin: I spend time alone. No problems to solve, no talking, no interacting. When I close my door, my peace begins!

Percival: 😅

Elyan: But wouldn't being alone be boring?

Merlin: I won't be alone, I'll have my own company. I'm on a very restrictive diet that consists of avoiding certain human beings.

Elyan *laughing*: Which human beings?

Gwaine: It will break my little heart if my name is on the list.

Merlin: First Uther, then Morgana, Mordred, and sometimes Arthur, but that one is harder since I have to see him every day every five minutes.

Leon: Don't you think that's a bit exaggerated?

Merlin: Nonsense, even you, who are of the same "species" as the other knights, can't stand being with them all the time, and you should be a united group.

The knights look at Leon expectantly.

Leon *looks away*: 🫣

Knights: 🥺

Leon: Okay, I admit that sometimes I just want a minute of peace...

Merlin: See! That's what I'm talking about. The truth is that the Earth is too small for so many humans! God must think every day, "Oh, I miss the dinosaurs, why did I send that meteor!"

Lancelot: Dinosaurs?

Gwaine: Meteor?

Merlin: I say I'd rather be running from a T-Rex right now than dealing with certain people!

Leon: I think he's going crazy again.

Lancelot: I'll call Gaius.

Elyan: I'll call Arthur.

Merlin: God should send some exclusive, custom-made meteors to hit certain people's heads. To avoid mistakes, he could send the meteor with names like "This one is for Mordred, this meteor is for Uther..."

Thinking about he Knights making a game out of who can get Merlin to blush the most, with them only allowing a point to be given to the person if the blush reaches his ears. Quite frankly, it’s not as hard as it seems.

The winner is whoever had the most by the summer solstice and is allowed to be the one to ask Merlin to dance.

Percival *laughing*: Eat, sure, but not in the way you guys are probably thinking *points to a large bed surrounded by torches and flowers*.

Gwaine: Oh my God *sees some naked people* ... so Merlin, maybe it's better to let the princess have a little fun with...

Merlin *jealously breaks the cell door*: Get out of that cell now, Arthur, we're leaving, now! *growls*

Arthur *gulps and steps out of the cell*

So, I have an idea for a merlin fic, could be oc or reader insert, involving a kingdom of magic, a people born with wings, emrys = god of magic, bad!morgana turns good!morgana, dragonlord stuff, magic reveal, weird timeline (uther is alive, but the knights are around. ) uther WILL get bitchslapped, but I won't tell you by who, and other things. I promise, it fits together better than it sounds like it would. Yes? No?

The knights plus Merlin are all camping in the woods (out on a hunting trip or a quest or whatever) and are sitting around the fire talking and relaxing after traveling all day. Gwaine flops himself into Leon's lap hoping to annoy him or maybe get a laugh out of him. He does not expect Leon to readjust him into a more comfortable position, wrap his arms around his waist, and continue his discussion with Arthur about what the plan is for tomorrow.

Gwaine sits there stunned for a moment before looking around at the others. Arthur looked surprised and confused but was quickly brought back into his conversation with Leon. Elyan and Percival seemed to be trying to muffle laughter and giving each other knowing glances. Lancelot was just setting up his bedroll as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening. Merlin was grinning like he'd just been given his Yule and birthday gifts at once and when he made eye contact with Gwaine he gave him a thumbs-up.

Gwaine starts to relax into Leon's hold and by the time Merlin calls out to them that dinner is ready he's all cuddled up and practically falling asleep right there in Leon's lap. Lancelot is passing out plates and Gwaine goes to move but Leon tightens his grip saying "You don't have to get up if you don't want to." Gwaine gives him a playful, flirty smirk "You sure I'm not going to cause you too much trouble?" The words come out more sincere than he intended. Leon smiles at him as he says "I'm well used to working with the trouble you cause. I think I can manage." Gwaine stays in Leon's lap while they eat dinner. In fact, he stays there for the rest of the night, bantering and joking with the others from the comfort of Leon's arms. They eventually fall asleep like that, curled up together and warm by the fire.
