What Geralt knew about Jaskier was undeniable: the bard possessed a rare quality that few others did. Jaskier was undoubtedly pure of heart—like a fairy-tale character come to life, the kind whose presence could make birds sing.
Despite living in a world rife with cynicism, danger, and moral ambiguity, he faced life with unguarded sincerity, kindness, and joy. He loved freely and expressed his emotions without reservation.
This innocence, much to Geralt’s constant exasperation, made Jaskier an easy target for those who sought to exploit him—or worse, use him as a sacrifice

Julian “Jaskier” Pankratz, a young Viscount from a once-prosperous noble family now struggling with dwindling wealth, has been raised since birth to marry Prince Radovid. Charming, sweet-natured, endlessly polite, and brimming with optimism, Jaskier is currently visiting his cousin Priscilla in Oxenfurt.
Meanwhile, Geralt of Rivia, a witcher who recently earned the title of Lord after completing a lucrative contract, crosses Jaskier’s path. To his own surprise, Jaskier finds himself hopelessly infatuated with the stoic witcher—and before long, Geralt begins to return those feelings.
Yennefer of Vengerberg, Geralt’s former lover and a powerful sorceress, grows restless and decides to amuse herself by nudging the pair together, playing matchmaker in her own mischievous way.
Priscilla, ever perceptive, quickly realizes that her cousin is in love. Though she worries about Jaskier’s youth and impulsive nature, she also sees Geralt’s integrity and understands he could be good for him.
But shadows loom over their budding romance. Prince Radovid has no interest in love—only in bloodshed. His scheme is to have Jaskier murdered and then lay the blame at the feet of the mages, using the scandal as a pretext for their extermination.

Geralt had been hired to deal with a monster for a duke. Simple work, straightforward. At the same time, Jaskier had been invited to play a few nights at court—an easy arrangement.
At least, it should have been simple.
The problem lay with the duke himself. He wore, always, a certain enchanted necklace—an artifact that ensured no one could disobey him. Every command spoken became law, every order absolute.
And to Geralt’s growing unease, it soon became clear: the duke’s attention had fixed on Jaskier

After reuniting, Geralt has smelt nothing but anger and heartbreak on Jaskier. But, there’s also the faint twinge of fear whenever Geralt comes into the room. Not wanting Jaskier to be afraid, geralt tries to do something. But, a drunk Jaskier lets lose that he’s not afraid OF him, he’s afraid of geralt hurting him again, of breaking his heart again and Jaskier can’t allow himself to give his heart again…
Jaskier’s voice trembled with a raw, unguarded edge as he admitted, slurring slightly from the ale, “I’m not very smart.”
Geralt frowned. “Aren’t you the master of the seven liberal arts? Don’t sell yourself short.” He knew, better than most, that for all of Jaskier’s flamboyant performances, the bard was one of the keenest minds he had ever met.
“No, not that,” Jaskier muttered, gaze lowering. “I mean… in matters of the heart.” His words cracked. “You don’t love me, do you?”
“I—” Geralt froze. The truth swelled inside him, burning his throat. He did love Jaskier. More than he dared admit. But fear held his tongue, binding him in silence when he longed to speak.
“Don’t,” Jaskier whispered, raising a hand. “Don’t answer. Just… let me live in this moment.” His eyes shone, glassy with drink and longing. “Say a kind word, and I’d follow you to the ends of the world. Pretend you care for me, even just a little, and I’ll throw myself at your feet—let you trample me if it means I’m close.”
Geralt watched him, the flush of ale burning in Jaskier’s cheeks, his heart twisting painfully at the sight.
“My heart’s been broken before,” Jaskier murmured, his voice softer now, almost a plea. “And gods help me, like some wretched addict, I find myself wanting you to be the one who shatters it again.”

Geralt and Jaskier’s troubles began the moment they spotted the posters. They were everywhere—on tavern doors, nailed to posts, even slapped onto barrels.
Each one proclaimed, in sprawling, overwrought script, that “Lord Julian Alfred Pankratz, Viscount de Lettenhove, a most tender and innocent youth of refined breeding,” had been snatched away in the night. The culprit? Why, the “infamous and brutish sellsword, Geralt of Rivia.”
The posters painted Jaskier as some trembling, wide-eyed noble waif—delicate as spun glass, too naïve to survive a single moment beyond Lettenhove’s velvet cushions. Geralt, meanwhile, was cast as the foul kidnapper dragging this fragile aristocratic blossom through the mud and muck of the Continent.

We live in the dumbest, lamest cyberpunk dystopia possible.
So LA has been — and continues to — protest against ICE. These protests haven’t gotten any smaller or lost any momentum, but social media wasn’t reflecting it.
TikTok users, realizing that the platform/other social media are censoring/deleting/shadowbanning these protest videos, decided to find a workaround.
They’re calling it the LA Music Festival. Ice detention centers and other protest locations are “stages.” The hottest band is Rage Against the Machine. “Here’s what gear you should be bringing to stay safe at the LA Music Festival.”
And it fucking worked.
TikTok has become a proving ground for a lot of new music, meaning lots of labels and organizations have lucrative deals with TikTok to promote their new artists and music festivals. So they absolutely cannot censor the words “music festival” or train the algorithm to ignore it, or they risk endangering that very important revenue.
So now protest videos are flooding feeds again, but it’s the LA 24/7 Music Festival. Truly an incredible timeline we’ve landed in.

okay okay hotchreid boyfriends during jones and how aaron splits his attention between the case and spencer's strange behaviour. in part, he's acting normal. he's focused on the case, trying to find the jack the ripper copycat but there's something sharp in the way he snaps at everyone.
hotchreid boyfriends and aaron who knows that something happened to spencer when he was taken by hankel, something that spencer doesn't want to talk to aaron about because their relationship is too new, too fresh, too fragile. he doesn't want to push too hard because he doesn't know how hard spencer will push back.
hotchreid boyfriends who argue late at night in their hotel room, whispering to each other so to not alert the team. aaron wants to talk to spencer but spencer shuts him out, urges that he's fine and that they need to focus on the case. aaron remembers the soft and sweet early days of their relationship, how sugarplum lovely it was. but now they're stuck in their unstable and angry place. eventually, spencer storms out, all broken glass and simmering emotion.
hotchreid boyfriends and the ache in aaron's chest when spencer misses the flight with emily and derek and the next day they find out he was with a friend named ethan. aaron doesn't know who ethan is or what spencer was doing with him but he knows spencer well enough to know that he wouldn't hurt him like that.
but there's still this pressure in his chest, this uncertainty in that it means that spencer would rather spend time with someone else, that he feels more comfortable with this ethan than with him.
he knows that all he needs to do is talk to spencer. but the question becomes if spencer wants to talk to him.

Vesemir doing his weekly grocery shopping
Every single time the kaer morons tease him about being the guy from the math problems. Because he buys sooo much every single time. (18 watermelons, 15 dozen eggs, 12 cans of coffee etc)
***
Once he buys a normal amount that an average family with young kids would eat, and the hungry pups are very apologetic and agree that he's correct to buy so much because they do eat it all
The next week they go right back to teasing him

Jaskier can shapeshift into other animals—a fact Geralt knows all too well.
During their first winter together in Kaer Morhen, they keep it a secret from the other witchers.
And yet, chaos slowly creeps in. Eskel keeps noticing an extra goat wandering around the stables. Vesemir wakes up to a purring cat sprawled across his lap. Lambert swears an Arctic fox made off with his lunch.
No one has the slightest idea where these animals are coming from… except for Geralt, who’s trying very hard not to laugh.

everyday i am struck by visions of these two very different yet inherently intertwined men cut from the same emotionally constipating cloth. their red thread starts from hotch's tieknot and reaches reid's pointer finger or whatever finger he chews on the most when he's thinking. together they are strangling me with it

Jaskier was getting married—or at least, that was the news Geralt had heard. As always, they’d gone their separate ways for the winter: Geralt returning to Kaer Morhen, Jaskier back to Oxenfurt. But when spring came, rumor after rumor reached Geralt’s ears—Jaskier was engaged.
Curious, Geralt sought out the fiancée and discovered them to be a knight errant. Jaskier seemed smitten, radiant even, perhaps a little too much so. Still, Geralt held his tongue.
That is, until one night when Jaskier shook him awake in a fit of panic. Breathless, the bard confessed: the knight had ensnared him with a love spell. It faltered only when the knight slept, lifting long enough for Jaskier to recognize the truth—before binding him again at dawn.
Now Geralt found himself with a new task: unraveling the spell, shielding Jaskier from its hold, and uncovering why this knight was so desperate to wed a bard who, without magic, might never have said yes.

Jaskier: Geralt has a French maid kink. He's always having me dress up like one and clean the apartment
Lambert: pretty sure that he's just trying to get you to do you share of the chores
Jaskier: that sonofabitch!
Lambert: *giggling* guess you can call it "chore-play"
