I hear you stirring on the baby monitor, fighting sleep. Next thing I know, your sweet little head pokes in the doorway, your arrival preceded by the patter of tiny feet. Your hair is wild, paci hanging from its clip on your sleep shirt, treasured stuffed toy in tow. Papa?

Just to finish this sentence... What's that, baby? You tug on my sleeve with a whine, and I look away from my glowing blue iMac. I push my reading glasses up into my ruffled hair, tousling your head. My room is dark but for its light, and I've been up working on my college classes ever since I put you to bed. Rain raps at the window. The Eagles play softly on the CD player up above, more to keep me awake than anything else. I notice the time with a start - much too late for papas or little ones. It's late, honey, whatcha doing up?

Papa... your lower lip juts out, and I can't help but scoop you up in my arms as tears roll down your cheeks, rubbing your back as I do so. Miss you!

I soften, wiping your tears with my thumb. Of course, how could I have been so careless? Oh darling, papa's finals week has been so hard for you, huh? You nod in confirmation, rubbing your stuffed lovie on your cheek for comfort, fiddling with my fingers. I offer you your forgotten pacifier, and you take it, blinking plaintively at me, eyes glassy from a lack of sleep. Is the thunder scary? You wanted daddy?

Yeah.. you sniff, throw your arms around me, face immediately buried in my shirt. I won't let you go again.

Well, let's fix that sweetheart. My lovebug is much more important, the work can wait, and you need your papa. I power off my monitor. Fancy pickin' out a show for us? Hmm little bat? I tickle your hiding cheek, and you nod hesitantly, so I lift you up to the shelf with the VHS tapes. You snatch the Goodnight Show, a little smile peeking out from behind your pacifier. There's my sweet sugar.

Good choice little dude! I load the tape into the VCR and we settle into bed, me and you and your lovey. You cuddle against my chest, and I rub your head as your eyes slip open and shut, relaxing already. You'll be sleeping with me until finals are over, you can be sure of that, and you'll never have to be afraid of the thunder again.

Thinking about baby regressors tonight… 💭

Small tiny kiddos, tiny brains that can only think of Papa and being safe <3

“Are you okay sweet thing? Oh, someone’s my tiny baby tonight, huh? C’mere, Papa will keep you safe.”

Bottle feeding them, watching as their tiny hands come up to grip my shirt, and how they wrap their entire fist around one of my fingers..

Calming them down as they get fussy during bedtime, cooing and coddling them <3 “Darling, is someone sleepy? Here, I’ll lay down with you until you fall asleep my little angel, Papa’s here.”

˖ ݁𖥔 ݁🧪Little!Viktor Headcanons!🧪˖ ݁𖥔 ݁˖

࣪ ִֶָ𖦹。Honestly once you explain to Viktor about age regressing.. he would think to himself "oh, that's what it's called.."

࣪ ִֶָ𖦹。Viktor had a habit of accidentally regressing when his chronic pains would flare up. He just didn't know what it was or called. He kind of thought of it as him "being dramatic".

࣪ ִֶָ𖦹。He loves to chew on things. Oh that's made out of rubber? Going into my mouth. A few of his shirts have holes in it due to him chewing on it. Even chewed up his fingers once or twice. Once you got him a pacifier.. it was like heaven to him.

࣪ ִֶָ𖦹。The only way to get him to sleep is a warm cup of sweet milk and his paci. He's always so fussy when it's nap time, whining and complaining how he needs to finish one more thing then he'll sleep. We all know that's a lie. But once you pop that paci in his mouth, he's out like a light.

࣪ ִֶָ𖦹。Knee pads. All the way. When he started to get used to regressing on his own without his flare ups triggering it, he had a tendency to crawl around due to him feeling unstable to walk. Knee pads were a lifesaver on his joints, even tho he still experiences pain it does help tone it down.

࣪ ִֶָ𖦹。He's so needy, wanting to hold your hand, sleeve, pants leg, anything. He constantly wants to be around you. Always standing a few inches behind you. Curling up next to you like a kitten.

࣪ ִֶָ𖦹。Viktor usually goes nonverbal, making hums or small "eh..." Looking up at you with his amber eyes, trying to tell you what he wants. His facial expressions have become more dramatic when he regresses because of it.

࣪ ִֶָ𖦹。The poor boy is rather picky when it comes to food but he's too shy to express it. So after every meal he ends up so grumpy but yet so very sleepy. Viktor prefers soild foods, something he can eat with his hands. Fruits, soft warm baked goods, cheese, crackers, and warm milk is his favorite. No jams. He hates the texture of it. He prefers jellies.

Stumbling into the door of your shared apartment with Steve and Bucky, you gratefully sigh and place your bag down. Finally throwing off your shoes and Jacket, you walk into the kitchen and grab a snack, eating it before walking to the couch and throwing yourself on it.

It had been an extremely long day, annoying customers, loud noises, and too much social interaction. All you could think about all day was coming home and just laying next to your two Cg’s and being able to relax with them.

The hard part was that your caregivers weren't supposed to be home anytime soon. The current mission they're on is taking longer than you expected. Curling into a ball onto the couch, you grab a blanket off the back of it and cover yourself, the exhaustion sitting in and a nap calling your name.

“Shhh! They could be asleep!” Steve whispers at Bucky as they attempt to quietly get into the apartment.

Bucky shoots him a glare, and walks into the living room after taking his shoes off. He immediately sees you and his entire mood switches. The mission was exhausting, and too long. 3 weeks away from you was hard, and you guys weren’t able to video call as much as any of you wanted to.

“Doll, wake up” Bucky softly rubs your shoulder, crouching to your level.

You stir slightly, looking up at him through droopy eyes, still registering your surroundings. Bucky stands up and carefully scoops you into his arms, smiling at how you immediately practically smash your face into his neck and cling to him.

Bucky carries you into the kitchen where Steve is putting together dinner, seeing as there was no sign of you making food for yourself. When he hears Bucky's footsteps he turns his head and smiles when he sees you half asleep on bucky.

“Hey princess.. Long day baby?” Steve gently cups your face and kisses your nose, making you giggle. Bucky and Steve look at eachother, both understanding you're likely in a younger headspace due to not having them around recently.

You just nod and watch as Steve continues cooking. Bucky watches as you visibly relax into your headspace, loving how you trust them both to make sure you're safe.

“Doll, do you want to go watch some cartoons while Papa makes food?” Bucky questions quietly.

Looking up to him, you softly nod and smile. He takes you out to the living room and sets you down, covering you back up with the blanket and turning on your toons. He steps out and into your shared bedroom, closing the door behind him.

Getting distracted by the cartoon you don't even realize when Bucky comes out changed into comfier clothes and a change for you. He stands in front of you to catch your attention and you look up at him.

“Let's get you into more comfortable clothes yeah?” He smiles at you and you giggle, you love his smiles.

Once all changed and comfy, he pulls you into his lap and slowly rubs your back and plays with your hair. He gently kisses your cheek while adoring how you look in his arms.

“Dinner time!” Steve eventually calls from the kitchen, prompting Bucky to pick you up and carry you to the dinner table. He attempts to put you down but you cling onto him, and he ends up keeping you in his lap while feeding you.

Once dinner’s all finished up, Steve goes to take a shower while Bucky gets you set up for bed. He gently rocks you while telling you about silly stories between him and Steve before you were with them, how much he loved your Papa before he even knew.

Eventually Steve walked into the bedroom and stole you from Bucky's arms, cradling you close to his chest while softly kissing your forehead and climbing into bed with you. He quietly sings lullabys until you fall asleep knowing they would protect you.
