Please don't skip💔💔
Oh good world, the war has left us no home to return to. It has left in our home all our ambitions and the place where we used to live. I wish you could help me.

I was worried about how TaskMaster, a game show famous for its physical and timed challenges, would adapt to having a contestant with Cerebral Paley
Would Rosie get extra time? Would the challenges be adapted for only her? Would it be patronising?
Absolute mad props for episode 1 having a challenge be "throw these balls at these cans, closest to knocking over 100 cans wins"
Gold star, bafta nomination editing for showing Rosie absolutely sucking at the task, knocking 47 cans over, immediately followed by the other 4 contestants doing equally poorly or accidentally getting themselves disqualified because actually that's a hard task for most people
She came 2nd

♡ things about people's bodies that i admire (as someone with a physical disability who cannot relate) ⌁ the way you take your steps so easily. you want to go somewhere and you lift your foot and put it down and move without too much thought or being Overly Aware of how to do it? that's so cool
⌁ when you move not just individual fingers but bend them a certain way. how fluid your movements are. also how much control you have. you're telling me you pick up a plastic cup like no problem and you never accidentally squeeze or put too much pressure?
⌁ typing with ten fingers. again, hello???? you can move ALL of them individually like that? and so fast? huh?????
⌁ rushing down stairs is insane to me because you just keep your balance and also watch your step and also move your legs that fast
⌁ nothing is impossible. you button the world's smallest buttons. then you walk to a cafe and order something in a full cup and carry it to a table without spilling, then you write on paper with a pen for more than 3 seconds at a time and the strokes come out exactly as you intend and that’s a regular day for you!!
⌁ you speak to people and have no problems with the muscles in and around your lips. you probably don’t even think about them. they don’t pull to the side or jerk when you pronounce your vowels – they’re as fluid as your fingers (amazing) and people take your words seriously because of this
you have a lot to appreciate, just as I have a lot to admire in you ♡

Hey, you can make your favorite characters disabled and I'm not just talking about making them a cane user (although there's nothing wrong with that), you can give them anything give them dwarfism even though they're not short in cannon, make them a amputee, give them brain damage, make them a intellectual disability or give them cerebral palsy, you can give them anything.

Happy Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day !!!
[Image description: A halfBody drawing of two characters with cerebral palsy in a simple art style. The character on the left is smiling while bending their arms close to their chest with curled fingers. They have yellow puffy hair, pale skin and a faded cleft lip scar. They are wearing a yellow hairband, hearing aids and a black crop top with a nonbinary flag pin. They're sitting in a manual wheelchair. The second character is hunched over towards them and has his hand on their shoulder in a friendly manner. He has brown skin, black twists, and a cataract in his right eye. He is wearing a light green hoodie and jeans. He is resting his forearm on a crutch. The background is in muted green and yellow with a ribbon going around the whole image. The ribbon has the disability pride flag colors on it and text that says "25th march". End image description.]

I sort of hate how people with disabilities are always expected to be an “inspiration” and in good humour about their disability. We must conform to this idea, hide the worst of our symptoms to make others more comfortable. They are disgusted by our rage. Shout out to disabled people who don’t want to be an inspiration, who are pissed off and sad.

No seriously check yourself for ticks. I feel like a make this psa every year but everyone always ignores the fact that they've been hanging around tall grass or bushes. Check your body, check your siblings and kids who won't do it as carefully as they should, and stay safe!!

Hello, please don't skip me.🙏💔💔
Hello world, these are my brothers’ children. They were deprived of education in this war and became uneducated, so it was necessary to educate them. I began to participate with them and educate them away from schools because schools and educational centers have become shelters for displaced families.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope you help me to provide them with a suitable environment, support them, and provide them with the necessary life for them so that they can live like any child in the world. I hope you help me and support them. Thank you.

Let's play a little game, shall we? ("Professional Advice for the Disabled" edition)
Context:
Back in September, 2012, I came upon an online pamphlet titled "Living With C.P." from The Ontario Foundation for Cerebral Palsy.
And in the middle of the pamphlet was a paragraph that was just two (moderately long) sentences.
The Game:
It's a one-question multiple choice quiz. I'll give you the first sentence, and you pick the sentence that you think comes next. Because it's a long sentence, and I'm not sure it'll fit in Tumblr's poll fields, I'll write each choice out in full, marked "1," "2," "3," "4," and "5," and paraphrase in the poll itself. Okay?
The First Sentence:
It can be frustrating for adults to deal with a health care system that appears to have little knowledge or interest regarding the changing needs of aging with a disability.
What Comes Next?
A healthy, well-balanced, diet, combined with as much exercise as you can manage, and a regular sleep routine, is beneficial to your mental and physical well-being.
A trusted friend or family member, who knows you and your symptoms, can help explain your situation to your healthcare provider.
Maintaining a strong social network, especially among your fellow patients, can help reduce stress, and combat feelings of loneliness.
A positive attitude makes a big difference, and developing relaxation techniques and coping skills can have a beneficial effect on mental and physical health.
A diary of your daily routine, especially keeping track of your changing abilities, can be a useful tool for you and your healthcare provider.
Let's see if we can match with with Service Professionals (I'll reveal the actual answer at the end of the week, once the poll closes).
If you vote, please reblog, to get this outside my private corner.
