Curtwen Week Day 6: Happy Ending

#I like to believe that there is a universe where they get to grow old together #just one #look once upon a time I read a fic that had me bawling my fuckin eyes out where they get to grow old together #I do want to say that I believe in personal growth and I think that Curt can 100% have a happy ending without Owen- where he can grow #away from that experience and where he can healthily cope with the trauma he ended up with #where he can find solace in something other than alcohol and where he can find it in himself to forge new relationships and build his #connections with people like Tatiana #etc etc #I just want to make it known that this is one of many happy endings that could happen #(amongst the several sad ones that I know also exist)#ALSO I wanted to draw the old men and I do what I want #but yeah something something if the universe is infinite /ref #maybe this is a universe where the banana incident never happened and they were able to retire together #ough #the curtwen feels are really getting me today #I adore them #also I used a new brush ive been having fun with this past week #doesn’t it look cool?#I really like drawing with it and I like how it looks so #we might be seeing more of this one in the future #although 6b is still my guy #damn y��know hypothetically- if Owen (depending on the au) and Curt lived to be in their 60s (at least) they would witness the first Pride #god can you imagine that?#At the very least Curt being around for stonewall and everything that came after that with queer rights #FUCK anyways #fun fact: a group of frogs is called an army #isn’t that cute #reminds me of that one person on TikTok that raised like a thousand frogs- they had a literal army of frogs #crazy #curtwen week

Once again thinking about Curt and Owen going to the chippy. It's the middle of winter. It's the early evening and the sun has set. It hasn't snowed, but the next morning there will be enough frost that you would think it had. They buy their food and speed-walk to the nearest park, so that when they perch on the cold wood of a bench in the corner, the chips are piping hot and golden, and the batter on the fish is crisp. Owen's food has enough vinegar on it that Curt wonders if he's trying to corrode his tongue (which would be terrible news). They bicker over Curt calling the chips "fries". #911 lone star #repeat after me #owen is not the main character because this is an ensemble show #i mean as a general rule you really should stay out of people's inboxes to bitch at them about something you know they don't agree with #but also people are allowed to call out the show for trying to get clout for diversity and then making it the owen strand show #and not even the 'owen strand is sooo good at being fire captain' show which would at least get us firecrew scenes!#it's now the 'owen does anything BUT fire captain because that's basically like sitting on the bench' show #which is a shame because there are a billion police/fbi procedurals i could watch if i wanted to #but i don't i want the found family hopeful wholesome 911-verse #and when owen IS being captain or being dad to TK or one of the team or a friend for the other captains his scenes are so good!!#i love those scenes and they give us more content for the other ensemble characters #and THAT is a lot of the complaint about the screetime is that it's majorly going to one character doing outside stuff #so not only is it not centered on the other characters but they don't even hardly get to be involved!#ANWAY #don't mind me just tired of hearing people say no one can be mad because owen is the main character #if this was a show with 2 mains and a handful of supporting characters or the show was named after owen in some way i'd get it #but literally he isn't the main character and that is why people are upset

fellas im gonna be real with you i am dreading the prospect of a storyline that has sami together with roman and the original bloodline as faces vs heel!kevin. the thought makes me feel sick. if sami does run back to roman and kevin tries to murder him about it, then quite frankly sami you have that coming. but truly, it would just feel wrong for him to do that in this scenario, because - especially after everything - i do not think sami should EVER choose roman over kevin! doing that in 2022 was like his moral event horizon in their relationship. for him to do that again, leaving kevin entirely alone only this time we're supposed to fully cheer him for it? fucking awful horrible no way they cant do that to me. i dont want sami to turn heel again so soon but if its between a heel turn to side with kevin and siding with roman against him, i'll take the former i think.

#they're not gonna do that though.#im not sure how exactly they'll play it whether sami will try to reason with kevin first or how/if he'll even be connected to roman #but i do feel quite strongly that the finality of this heel turn from kevin will depend on how sami factors in and how he responds #sami not taking his side would justifiably be his absolute snapping point #equally him attacking sami if sami's just trying to help and get kevin back on side #would put kevin back in comfortable heel territory against his most loveable babyface opponent #honestly though a big part of me just does not want them to feud on this matter. i want sami to hug kevin and be there for him #look i love divorce i love toxic relationships etc i also love character growth. must we undo sami and kevin's #sami zayn #kevin owens

That's Owen's sketch done... I am now one step closer to getting 50% done (cuz colouring, rendering, then background...) Maybe I'm close to getting 25% done actually...

actually i think one of the things in outsiders that really fucked me up was one of owen's turns of phrase

when magic tricks him and goes into the maze alone, only surviving because he figures out what happened quick enough to follow & rescue her, he tells her that he's never going to stop coming after her (to make sure she's safe, to protect her)

and then after owen's gotten his memories back, he tells apo that he's never going to stop coming after him (to hunt him down, to kill him)

#i am never going to be normal about phrases being repeated with a different meaning #and i think this one especially fucks me up because it really hammers home the difference between owen at his core #(wanting to keep people safe. living to protect. loving his friends so so much hed do anything to keep them alive & happy)#and the person he became as a result of the trauma he experienced and the actions he took and life he led because if it #i think the real tragedy of this character lies in that we see who he couldve been!!! he was Good and he loved so much & tried so hard #but he lost his support system (mostly apo but also rasbi + graecie) and just. never quite learned to trust/rely on the others #because he believed what angel said- he can't show them weakness. theyre counting on him so he has to stay strong for them no matter what #i fully believe that if things had been different he could have overcome his past after remembering. if that support system had been built #i think he wouldve had a chance at least.#and thats the tragedy. he was so caught up in being their rock that they didnt know how to love him and he didnt know how to let them #after apo and angel he didnt let anyone in enough that they couldve changed his mind #so of course no one could save him. he would never have let them #anyway this smp fucked me up real bad. i think it did something to my brain pathways i think theyre realigned #pat.txt
