less good: i think i made a few of those faces myself while watching. what i assume was foreshadowing was pretty bad (had someone decided "one word repeated every episode" wasn't enough?). i am not sure why the doctor knew exactly what was happening, i don't mind that as an occasional plot device (they do know pretty much everything, after all) but it felt over done in this. why was there a music battle? why was there a song? “Did you finish setting up the microphones, dove?” Keigo asks, while you’re just about to adjust your PC setup. The stream begins in five minutes, and while it’s not the first time you’ve gone live with your love, it’s the first time that you’ve had guests on your streaming site, and this is highly anticipated enough that you expect a higher turnout for today, and commensurately likely more trolls. You’re used to Keigo’s trolls as a top-ranking hero, but Izuku’s trolls are a whole different beast.

“Yes!” you sing out to him. After the final adjustment, you shoot a glance to Izuku and his wife who are poised very politely on gaming chairs you got just for them; his hand is holding hers, the thumb caressing the back of her hand while she crosses her legs at the ankle. She looks distressed and you stifle a giggle. Horror and gore are the themes for your stream today and from what Izuku has told you, she’s a screamer, but so is Keigo, so the two will be squawking like birds for the remainder of the night. 

You can’t wait.

“Are you guys comfortable?” you ask. The chair arrangement is a little more complex to make sure everyone stays huddled around your huge monitor, but you’ve figured it out.

She nods slowly, and Izuku grins. “We’re doing perfect!”

There are now two minutes until the stream starts, and Keigo slips into the chair right beside you and kisses your cheek, his other hand deep in a bag of chicken chips which he brings to your mouth.

You indulge him with a bite, and he grins, then whispers if you want him to be your chair this time, and while Izuku grins politely at the two of you, you can sense yourself warming in the face.

“We have guests,” you remind him. Keigo throws a glance at Izuku who immediately waves his hands.

“Pretend we’re not here.”

“What do you mean we’re not here, we were in-”

You start the stream and Izuku’s wife falls silent, immediately switching to camera ready mode. “Welcome guys and thanks for coming back to our channel! As promised, we have special guests today! -” Deku and his wife wave politely to the camera in million-watt smiles, “- and we’ll be continuing with our horror themed stream!”

Keigo chews loudly and waves at the camera. “I’ll be here!” he motions a salute to the screen. As expected, you can already see the influx of his fans filling the chat, painfully polite in their thirst since the last time he reminded them on screen he was happily married.

“Ooh can we have streamer nicknames?” Izuku’s wife asks.

“Sure, what would you like to be called?” you offer. She looks around, then up at the ceiling, then her eyes light up.

“Hm… BLOODCRUSH.” She says with dramatic glee. The rest of the three of you blink rapidly, but no one argues. 

“Bloodcrush it is!” you announce as she kicks her feet. Izuku gives her a mildly concerned look, but then rubs her shoulder affectionately. The chat starts to rile up with comments in support of new nickname Bloodcrush (bloodcrush x deku otp, bloodcrush fighting!) to her delight while the less savory ones are promptly ignored.

“I think the rest of us will just go by our hero or streamer names, is that okay?” Keigo says, stretching out in his chair and resting his arm around the shoulder of your gaming chair, pose relaxed.

“So what game are we playing?” Deku starts per your loosely prepared script. 

“RAID AND EXECUTION,” Hawks announces, excitedly. You laugh as the story intro video begins, and Hawks claps his hands dimming the lights while Bloodcrush looks stunned to her husband then to you.

“Raid and what?”

“Oh, that sounds awesome! I’ve heard of this one!” Deku chirps, and immediately his info-dumping begins. “So from what I’ve read, this game is set in the early 1400s in the Caribbean where a group of pirates are lost at sea and encounter a group of enchanted beings, most likely zombies, and you’re meant to survive as long as possible when they’re active at night, and raid the villagers during the daytime or else you’ll run out of resources and die, not to mention the game mechanics heavily rely on you using context clues of the environment in order to determine if a settlement is nearby and-”

Hawks and Bloodcrush both scream as the first zombie shows up on screen armed with a machete and cleanly slices the head off of your avatar.

‘Ooh, that was fast,” you say, frowning as the “Game Over” screen shows up on the monitor. The chat explodes with comments telling Deku to shut the hell up which makes him frown.

“Just trying to provide context,” he grumbles. You start up the game again and instead of jumping right off the ship and walking right onto the island, you pause and look for clues. Hawks encourages you to explore the bottom of the ruins first, which has you find a rusty machete of your own as well as some 14th century hardtack, and Bloodcrush leans in and asks you if there’s any way you can find a musket or other gun.

“Baby, I think muskets weren’t invented till the 15th century,” Deku says, and she pats his cheek gently, whispering only mildly threatening, “I didn’t ask you for historical accuracy, honey.”

“Here, I think we found one!” you exclaim and Hawks gives you a high five while Bloodcrush raises her eyebrow at him. 

While you begin arranging your inventory, Hawks repeats some questions in the chat for their guests.

“So, herofootfetish69 has a question for you, Deku.”

Izuku pales while you and his wife unintentionally bursts out laughing from how nonchalantly Hawks reads the username, then your avatar inadvertently falls off a cliff and dies.

“Man!” you exclaim as you restart. Bloodcrush laughs even harder as she points to new resources that you can pick up while you’re repacking your knapsack.

“They ask, do you have time to play video games when you’re supposed to be protecting the city?” Hawks asks, then giggles.

“Why am I being heckled?” he frowns. “Yes, heroes have time off too.” He pauses. “Hawks is literally on this stream!”

“Hey, I think if you alternate the musket and the dagger, you might have a chance with those zombies,” Bloodcrush murmurs. Someone in the chat tells her that she has a better chance with the dagger alone. “Never mind, just do that.” 

“Next question for LoveDove!” Keigo presses a kiss to your forehead, then reads off, “gains4fame asks, how long have you and Bloodcrush known each other?”

“Not long!” you say, “but I think we’ve become fast friends!”

Bloodcrush’s eyes light up and she playfully bops you on the shoulder. Hawks offers an affectionate awwww, and hugs you while Deku rubs his wife’s back. 

In the process of your husband hugging you, you’re shot by an arrow.

“NO!” you and Bloodcrush scream in unison, then look at each other and giggle.

“Next question from chickenchipenthusiast-” Izuku pauses, then reaches for the extra bag Hawks has brought, “not sponsored by the way,” he reminds everyone, “for Hawks - how do you choose your guests on the show?”

Hawks shrugs. “When I called, you picked up.”

Izuku sighs in defeat.

“We’ll move on to the next question. For LoveDove again - do you think you’ll get better at these games?”

Hawks bristles but you laugh. “I’m having fun and so are you, aren’t you?”

I’ve seen how the rabid fan-squirrels in other fandoms behave when they get their OTP. Making the lives of the actors a living hell with the relentless stalking and speculation on their IRL relationships.

This is a fucking television show. I understand, I love the stuffing out of most of the characters on 911. But when a professional actor says a specific fandom is getting overwhelming. Ya’ll need to sit tf down, shut tf up, and chill tf out for a really long minute.

Who is the early bird/ Who is the night owl?

Rita is somehow both, but she is much more the morning person out of the two of you. She likes to be up early, especially on work days. She enjoys the silence, birds chirping as the city wakes up as her coffee starts to brew. She’ll take the time before you have to be up to review over any open cases she has, what her agenda is for the day and make sure she’s ready to go for any court appearances. You’re up a little later than she is, happily pressing a kiss to her cheek and heading into the kitchen to make breakfast for the both of you (cause lord knows she can’t do it without setting off the smoke alarm).

When it comes to evenings, she’s likely to catch up on a show or two, do some reading, maybe a light workout, shower and then bed. It’s when she gets wrapped up doing work stuff at home that she’s up way too late, you tiptoeing into her home office to pepper her face with kisses and drag her to bed.

2. Who is the big spoon/ Who is the little spoon? It switches off pretty regularly and can also depend on who gets into bed first. Rita likes curling herself around you, pressing kisses to the back of your neck but she also doers really like being the little spoon too, feeling loved and protected.

3. Who hogs the cover/ Who loves to cuddle?                 Rita hogs the covers FOR SURE. She runs cold, even in the hottest days of summer her feet and hands are FREEZING. Doesn’t matter if you’re sweltering, she still has to keep the duvet on the bed, you’ll just kick it around your feet and sleep without it. Because of this, she obviously loves cuddling, especially in the winter and despite you hating waking up to her freezing toes pressed against yours, you still love her.

4. Who wakes the other one up with kisses?                 A combo, but it’s usually Rita. She’s awake first, and will always leave a featherlight kiss on your head before she starts getting ready for the day. Before she’s about to leave for the day, she’ll always come back to the bedroom (unless you’ve asked her to let you sleep) and she’ll perch on the edge of the bed, smoothing back your hair as she gently wakes you up and kisses you tenderly.

5. Who usually has nightmares?                 You tend to get them more often, not necessarily nightmares, but weird dreams, ones that you roll over with a grumble when you wake up, trying to hold onto your sleep without falling right back into it. It usually doesn’t wake Rita, but she can sometimes feel you nuzzling deeper against her in her sleep. She will sometimes get bad nightmares when she’s in the middle of a really bad case. Somehow it’s not as bad anymore now that she’s on defence, but when she was still prosecution and had to heavily lean into the brutality of the case, embellishing it for the jury that she’d wake up in a sweat, unable to go back to sleep for an hour.

6. Who would have really deep emotional thoughts at the middle of the night/ Who would have them in the middle of the day?                 Rita gets them in the middle of the night, she regularly keeps a notepad/book on the nightstand for anything she suddenly remembers about work/a case and she frequently does have a separate notebook for little sentimental things, a reflection of her day with you, little moments that she simply loves. When she can’t sleep during the night she thinks about what she’s grateful for, what keeps the positivity going in her life especially in times of darkness. She can’t help the way her hand softly plays with your hair as she thinks about how much she loves sharing her life with you. She spends her days being this super bad ass, collected, well put together attorney, surrounded by her firm members, assistants and the like, she’s rarely alone. It’s once she’s home, alone in a chilly, empty apartment that she starts to feel the vulnerability, her sharp edges reduced as the emotions start to come out.

You get sappy during the day, its when your brain is on best. Whether you’re at work and get that special little I love you text from Rita, or you’re padding around the apartment by yourself and see the little post it notes, the hoodie you stole from her strewn over the back of the couch, her favourite book left open in an arm chair. It’s the little pieces of her that have weaseled their way into your life and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

7. Who sweats the small stuff?                 You. Rita doesn’t stress about things like that, she simply shrugs and says that you’ll find a way around it, she has faith in both of you/the situation to come out on top. And a lot of that is thanks to her line of work. She almost always has an excuse for why something could have been found in possession of her client and they’re always reasonable, that way of thinking just translates over to all aspects of her life.

8. Who sleeps in their underwear (or naked)/ Who sleeps in their pajamas?                 You’re normally in a pair of shorts or pj pants and a stolen worn tee from Rita’s college days. Rita however has the gorgeous, sometimes silky, satiny, lacy, super cute pyjama sets. Sleeping naked definitely occurs, but it’s normally after a night of sex, or when it’s not just hot over summer, but the humidity has made everything sticky, no matter high how the a/c is cranked (but don’t worry, Rita’s hands and feet are still freezing)

9. Who makes the coffee (or tea)?                 Rita is a coffee fiend. The machine brews automatically every single morning (that machine being a regular drip kind). But don’t fret, because she has every coffee machine variety available. She enjoys different kinds for different days/hours/whichever. And she almost always has it going so she can offer to anyone who shows up at her apartment or office. If she doesn’t, she’ll move to the kitchen to start a fresh batch without breaking conversation.

Tea is more a you thing, and it’s the “honey you should really stop the caffeine consumption this late” and offer her a mug of tea while she’s reading/trying to finish work before bed. At first Rita never understood tea, but she’s come to enjoy it on those chilly winter nights as you introduced her to a wide variety of more fun flavours.

10. Who likes sweet/ Who likes sour?                 Sour candies are your jam; you keep them readily stocked around the house and Rita can’t understand how you can stomach them so much. The only time she even thinks about raiding your stash is when her mind is racing so fast she’s starting to feel anxious and needs her body and brain to focus on something different so she’ll pop the most extreme sour one she can find into her mouth and try not to wince as everything focuses on that instead. She is a HUGE sweets lover though, baked goods are a weakness, but she only indulges on the weekends, and usually just with brunch. Her stash in the apartment is normally dark chocolate, sometimes with a hint of sea salt, mint or orange, a nice little treat you don’t need much of. Similarly, she *loves* Tru Fru and picks a bag up every time she’s in a store that sells them. You’ve reminded her that the cost of them is truly insane and said she should just make them herself. You were quickly reminded of why that was a terrible idea when you came home to find the kitchen smelling like burnt peanut butter and a dish towel ruined with streaks of chocolate.

11. Who likes horror movies/ Who likes romance movies?                 Rita’s a sucker for romance, she loves the classics, loves old movies, enjoys an actually funny rom-com, none of the stupid stuff. She doesn’t really like horror, anything too gory is definitely not up her alley, she can’t even handle the bloody scenes of medical shows. She’ll enjoy a good thriller or mystery though!

12. Who is smol/ Who is tol?                 It depends on the relationship, but she’s normally right in the middle at around 5’6’’ herself. Esp in wlw situation, there isn’t too much of a dramatic difference. She does get more tol points once she’s in heels. But when it comes to like, Calvak.. she v smol.

13. Who is considered the scaredy cat?                 Depends on the situation. While you’re the one more nervous about like, being outside after dark, or having to go through a sketchy area of town, more concerned about always locking doors and windows and the like. Rita lives in a high security building with a doorman and two fobs to just get to her floor, she doesn’t stress about that. Her job has her spending time with (alleged) criminals, sometimes one on one and that doesn’t worry her at all. She is pretty jumpy though, another reason she doesn’t like horror movies, absolutely hates jump scares. If you pop up out of nowhere and she didn’t see you coming, she’s definitely jumping and swearing at you, telling you not to do it again.

14. Who kills the spiders?                 You. Rita is the one to see a single ant in the apartment and want to call the exterminator. You have to remind her that the balcony door has been open all day and it’s the middle of summer, she should expect more bugs inside. You also take this time to remind her why it would be such a good investment to get a cat. (and yes, she absolutely makes you *kill* the bugs, there is no taking them back outside to be rehomed. She needs to know they’re dead)

15. Who is scared of the dark?                 Neither of you. Though there’s always a light on at home waiting for you to return, a soft light over the stove overnight so you can find your way through the darkness without having to turn on overhead lights and risk waking the other.

16. Who is scared of thunderstorms?                 You love the rain, adore curling up as close to the window as possible to watch the storms. Rita used to hate it, but figured out it mainly came from having to go out in it, get wet and risk ruining a very expensive pair of shoes. Now she’s fallen in love with it and made sure to repurpose one of the large windows in the living room into a bay window with an extended, padded ledge for the two of you to curl up on during storms and read.

17. Who works/ Who stays at home?                 If one of you is going to stay home, it’s you. Rita’s got the money to support another person and has no qualms doing so. She is however, very likely to get bored and needs to be stimulated, so she’s going to want to work until she doesn’t want to anymore. She enjoys it, and really loves the career she’s ended up in. She can work from home and if you’re a stay at home wife she likely will as much as she can.

18. Who is a cat person/ Who is a dog person?                 You’ve been begging for a dog for YEARS now and every single time Rita has a new reason as to why it’s a terrible idea. And no matter what counterargument you come up with, she will *always* win. It’s not something that truly bothers you though, as you know you’re both a little too busy for a dog. There’s a chance that the cat was a plea deal Rita came up with and there’s a chance that she already had one and that was another “we can’t have a dog” excuse. I 1000% see her with a black cat, something more chill it vibes by itself most of the time, but does love a good Sunday curl up on the couch. Rita absolutely has to have one of those self cleaning litterboxes or she has someone else in the building that she pays to do it cause you cannot tell me she would be okay with doing it herself lol.

19. Who loves to call the other one cute names?                 You. And you love to come up with the most ridiculous ones that make her laugh, or other times groan, saying just how terrible they are. She regularly sticks with darling, sweetheart, and occasionally honey.

20. Who is dominant/ Who is submissive?                 Rita is a dominant leaning switch. She’s flexible and regularly changes things up depending on her partner or the situation. While she likes to be in control and normally is, she’s got a high stress job where she always has to be the dominant one and really enjoys the times she gets to give that up in her personal life.

21. Who has an obsession (over anything)?                 I’m leaning you. But not sure what. Rita’s obsession is coffee and a particular brand of pen that she loves and will gut anyone who steals them from her. (Barba has three and he has the bruises to prove it.)

22. Who goes all out for Valentine’s Day?                 Rita. While she does think it’s a stupid holiday and you should show your love every day, she still loves to spoil. It’s likely something slightly cheesy and at your apartment. Roses, flower petals, a very pricey delivered dinner, chocolates, diamonds and a night spent together surrounded by candles.

23. Who asks who out on the first date?                 I think Rita is almost always the one who makes the first move. She’s confident, almost a little cocky when it comes to flirtation. She sees something she wants and she knows she wants it so she goes to get it. And she does get it like 99% of the time.

24. Who is the talker/ Who is the listener?                 A combination of both. Rita’s an incredible listener, she has to be for work. She can’t tune things out or zone out, she has to pay strict attention to every word, every mannerism, every linguist queue there could be from the moment she meets her client to the moment the verdict is read. She’s always going to let you get everything out until you’re sure you’re done and then check if you just wanted to vent/talk/get it off your chest or if you wanted advice. If you wanted her advice, then she’ll take her turn as the talker. Her major more talking days are the days that she just needs to hear things out loud for work, or get things off her chest, she rarely needs your actual advice, she just needs to yell about an incompetent attorney for a bit until she feels better. She was hesitant at first asking if you’d be okay listening to her opening or closing arguments, but she caught the way your eyes lit up and followed her as she paced through the kitchen, discovering how much you loved listening to her parade her way through the legal world. You made a joke that you loved her “big brain ted talks” and that joke stuck.

25. Who wears the other ones clothes?                 You’re not a huge fan of Rita’s designer stuff, and even her more casual stuff is almost a little too fancy for your liking. You have to dig through to the back of her closet to find the old sweats, tee’s, hoodies or the like that are from her college days, her debate team days or the like and you like wearing those. She on the other hand, ends up stealing half your wardrobe after realizing how comfortable something from a cheap store can be.

Sherlock was laying on the couch, hands steepled underneath his chin. He was thinking. About John Watson – as so often. John went on many dates. He didn’t seem too happy about them. Or, yes he did, but there were never many dates with the same woman, which he then complained about until he found a new woman to go out with.

That’s when Sherlock opened his eyes widely. It was clear as water all of the sudden: John just needed to go out with a man for once. He knew John was bisexual. He never told him that, but the signs were clear. Well, and since it would take a while to find a candidate, he would gladly suggest himself.

He got up to take a shower.

He went to put on fresh clothes… Black shirt, one more button open than necessary. Tight, black trousers, the ones that flattered his arse exceptionally nicely. He styled his hair into a perfect curly mess. He put on cologne and… hesitated. He looked very masculine… maybe if he gave John something familiar – something feminine – John would more easily get over the fact that Sherlock was a man. It didn’t take long to find just what he was looking for. Sherlock smiled cheekily.

When he got home he immediately took a shower. As he walked out of the bathroom, only wearing his towels low on his hips, he noticed Sherlock was laying on the couch. He greeted him, then headed upstairs to change into better clothes.

Breathe in (Sherlock breathed in), breathe out (Sherlock breathed out). He didn’t know why he was freaking out, but he was. That wasn’t entirely true: He knew he was freaking out because he saw some skin. That really shouldn’t be that special. He had seen lots of skin before, lots of naked bodies even. However, Sherlock didn’t expect John to come out of the shower showing off that much of naked skin, practically radiating sexual energy at him, as if he was some kind of sex god. Sherlock groaned and sank deeper into the couch, the images rushing into his mind.

Finally he heard John coming down. He wore nothing special really. A button up, dark jeans, his best cologne.

“I am going out. I will go pick up Mike,” John declared.

Sherlock sat up. “There’s no need.”

“How do you-“ John stopped. Stared. Opened his mouth, “What happened to your lips?”

Sherlock wanted to smile, wanted to squeal and jump, when John stared at him. Eyes fixated on Sherlock’s lips. He had him. Right there, that was the familiarity, that femininity John needed. He stood up and walked over to John. “Lipstick, John. Lipstick happened to my lips,” he said. Sherlock scanned John’s face, categorised his reaction. Smirked, “You are going out with me tonight.”
John still glared at his mouth. When he finally realised he had been staring he breathed in deeply, raised his gaze to Sherlock’s eyes. And bravely, like the closeted bisexual, ex-army doctor he was asked, “Where to?”

Now, John was sitting at a bar, which name he had already forgotten and glared at the smear of lipstick on Sherlock’s glass. It was stupid, really. But seeing dark red lipstick on Sherlock’s face… he took another gulp from his third drink (or was it the fourth?).

He had tried to look at women, even checked out some guys, but his attention always fell back to his best friend. And that goddamn lipstick. They were talking about… he didn’t even know what. He looked down, surprised. How had his hand landed on Sherlock’s forearm? Didn’t matter. His eyes found Sherlock’s. He surprised himself, when he asked, “Do you want to dance with me?”

Sherlock’s face was full of questions for second. Then he said, “Let’s.”

So John got up, took Sherlock’ hand because hell, he was drunk and he wanted to. When they were on the dance floor John stood there for a second. Then started giggling. “Sherlock, I forgot that I have no idea how to dance!”

Sherlock stepped closer. “I’ll teach you,” his deep voice kindling something inside of John . The detective took John’s hands in his, put them on his shoulders. And as they stood there - John’s arms around Sherlock’s shoulders, the tall man’s lips dark red at John’s eye level – intoxicated as he was, he leaned in. Not to dance, no. To kiss. I picture him as the Tyler of the situation, but he’s only a backstabber in the sense that he doesn’t stop Riddle’s tyrannical behavior. Anyways, he doesn’t find you threatening and it infuriates you to no end. You’re used to intimidating people into doing what you want, but he isn’t that way at all. He’s also not intimidated by Thing.

You definitely exceed him academically, and he’s completely fine with it. He’s an all around average student, so he, so he’s not surprised when you surpass him in test scores and participation. Plus, you had an advantage: you had a very unusual education from your family and this set you above even the most dedicated students.

In addition to all of that, no one besides you had the guts to actually threaten the Headmage into giving you better living conditions. From what he had heard, you told Crowley that crows taste an awful lot like chicken and you would serve him at the next feast. Trey was tempted to make you a cake in celebration of this very strange achievement.

Then, one day, you went to him and started ranting about how Crowley volunteered you to play the cello at a school-wide pep rally. The baker was actually very excited to see how well you would fare, and after the show he gave you a painted black rose as a gift.

Once you both officially announce your relationship, everyone has a mixed reaction. Riddle definitely does not like you, and neither does Ace, and so they are surprised. However, Cater had already made a Magicam of pictures of the two of you and the hashtags were #otp. 

Ruggie Bucchi

You intimidated him to no end, but that didn’t deter him from trying to be your friend (or something more). But, when he was going around hurting people in order to sabotage the other dorms in the Spelldrive Tournament, you knew that it was him. Before he was going to make someone trip, you pulled him back by the shirt to the ground, straddled him, and said I knew it.

No one had ever done that to him, and his ears were twitching and if his tail was not trapped from under him he’s sure that it would have been wagging. His face started going red and his heart rate increased rapidly. Then, a random hand started crawling towards his head and he heard the little pats of Thing’s fingertips. Well, now he’s freaked out rather than flustered. What made him almost pass out was you talking to the hand.

Then there was the news that you threatened the Headmage himself. Ruggie was actually eavesdropping on the conversation right outside of the door, and he heard a sharp shing sound before you said that you always wanted to know what carving a crow was like. This was definitely a surprise for the hyena.

Unfortunately, Crowley would never do something if it didn’t benefit him in some way, even if his life was on the line. Everyone in the school knew. However, Ruggie did not expect you to show up and play the cello before a pep rally to make everyone quiet. You looked angry, and it made him snicker.

When you guys officially got romantically involved, the hyena is aware that a lot of people were surprised. It was trending on NRC’s Magicam page for three weeks, and it was a picture of you both kissing each other. Not going to lie, it surprised the two of you as well. But, you got along better than one would think.

Jade Leech

This smug bastard is most definitely not intimidated by you, but he is freaked out by Thing. I mean, it’s a walking hand without a body. You explained that it was an Addams Family secret, and that did nothing to calm him down. He eventually grew to become close with Thing, but that isn’t until much much later.

You actually joined his club not soon after you arrived, and he was thrilled about it. You told him that you found him intriguing but suspicious, and also you needed a break from all of the bullshit you go through on a day-to-day basis. Jade excused the first part and offered his hand out to you to help you down one of the mountains, but you pushed it aside. Perhaps his charm wasn’t as effective as he thought.

When he had heard that you threatened the Headmage himself, he really knew he was in love with you right then. From what he had gathered, you held a knife to Crowley’s throat and demanded liveable circumstances as well as a pay raise and less tasks. Well, this was certainly unexpected and that’s what Jade loved about it.

However, you don’t get anything for free, and he also heard that you agreed to play the cello along with the Light Music Club to start off one of the pep rallies. You did absolutely splendidly, but you looked clearly irritated until the stage was suddenly in flames. The eel did notice a sneaky little hand sneaking away with a canister of gasoline.

It was later that day where he told you that he knew you did it, and he had a picture of Thing as well. You asked what it would take for him not to snitch, and he asked you on a date while whipping out a black dahlia. Sure, it was named after your favorite murder, but you also knew the language of flowers. Betrayal and sadness. How fitting, isn’t it? Considering he was using this as blackmail. 

Floyd Leech

If you thought that he would find you intimidating, you are sorely mistaken. He’s also not intimidated by Thing at all. In fact, the two actually grew close in a short period of time so any means of scaring Floyd into doing something for you were slim to none. But, if you needed protection you could have just asked him.

He was surprised to see you show up to one of his games. You stood out amongst the rest of the crowd: clad in dark black and having a forever-annoyed expression on your face. But he didn’t fall in love with you for nothing. You were unique and very spontaneous, so you were never boring to him. Plus it seemed as though you had an inkling of a smile when he got a point for his team. He teased you for the rest of the day.

When he heard that you made death threats to the Headmage to make your living conditions better, it really sealed the deal here. You were now the love of his life and he would take no objections. He wanted to be with you wherever you were, and you often had his arms wrapped around your torso. It reminded you of the attachment your mother and father had, and you claimed that it was sickening… but we all know the truth.

Anyways, because he was so in love with you, he became sluggish when you weren’t there. Azul begged you to do something, and you did love the feeling of someone begging you for help. You proposed playing the cello for the Lounge, and Floyd overheard and grew very excited about this arrangement. He ended up still not doing any work because he was just listening to you play the strange string instrument.

Absolutely no one was surprised when you referred to Floyd as your boyfriend one day. Considering that the eel was always close by, a lot of people were surprised that you weren’t already in a relationship. But anyone could see from the uncharacteristically loving gaze that you gave your boyfriend that you both probably belonged with each other.

Jamil Viper

He definitely found you intimidating, and he freaked out when he saw Thing for the first time. He still freaks out every once in a while when the hand tries to help him out with his tasks as a Vice Housewarden. But you assured him that Thing was okay and sometimes rather annoying, which kind of hurt the detached limb’s feelings.

Honestly, he was also very surprised when you accepted his invitation to his basketball game. Again, you stood out from the rest of the crowd because you dressed in black and you looked angry at the world, but Jamil knew that this wasn’t the truth. You just did not want to look vulnerable, and he understood it completely. He did not miss the tiny smile you had when NRC won.

When word got out that you threatened the Headmage with a knife for renovations on Ramshackle, he was surprised. If you could do this successfully, then the Scarabia Vice Housewarden concluded that you might be more powerful and influential than even the five most powerful mages.

To further prove this, it seemed as though you had put the entire school under a trance through your cello playing at one of the pep rallies. You looked like you wanted to murder someone while you were playing, which made Jamil chuckle before he continued listening to the beautiful music that you were emitting from your instrument.

A lot of people were surprised when the two of you got together because you both were barely seen together. Kalim wasn’t surprised though because he could see that Jamil increasingly got nervous when he was around you. A lot of teasing and pushing ensued before the Vice Housewarden actually confessed to you.

Rook Hunt

You found this man so freaking annoying because he would not leave you alone after finding out the precise aim you had with a bow and arrow. He thought that Cupid shot an arrow through his heart as you shot an arrow through the apple that he had originally brought with him to consume after he was done with target practice.

Rook reminded you of how your father treated your mother: loving and very romantic. You could have been convinced that he might have somehow gotten in contact with your dad and asked him how he won over your mom’s heart with how hard the hunter was trying. Thing seemed to be on Hunt’s side as well because you’ve witnessed a few of their not-so-secret conversations about your likes and dislikes.

It did not matter if you threatened his life with a blade because he loved the thrill. But, when you threatened the Headmage, that really got his head turned in your direction. Sure, you weren’t magicless, but it still took a lot of courage to go up against and press a knife against the neck of the leader of one of the most prestigious schools in Twisted Wonderland and that’s what he loved. Knowing that you could and would bring the very world down to its knees and burn it behind you without looking back made the poetic man swoon.

Then, one night you were sitting outside of Ramshackle and you were talking to Thing. Rook had wanted to visit you to serenade you with a poem that he had written, but he just hid and listened as you started playing your cello. And let me tell you that when he thought he had never heard something so beautiful, I am not lying.

Eventually, you caved into his affection and he was absolutely ecstatic. You could see yourself following in your mom’s footsteps, but you were definitely not going to be a house-spouse. Seriously, until now you had never understood your parents’ love for each other. But now as you kiss the hunter who caught your heart somehow, everything just clicked into place.

Lilia Vanrouge

This man is a former general. If you thought you intimidated him, you should put on clown makeup and join a circus because you would at least make some money from entertaining people and telling jokes like these to not just yourself but also other people. Him and Thing became best buddies 5 minutes after meeting each other. Yeah, you’re going to get nowhere with him.

However, you did not find him annoying. You actually really enjoyed his company, and that unsettled you because you’re used to hating people. You didn’t appreciate his pranks, though, because they slowed you down from trying to find a way to get back home. What you didn’t know is that Lilia knows what you are trying to do and is saddened by how you’re so willing to leave but he’s also researching as much as he can to try and help you.

When you threatened the Headmage, the news spread like no wildfire that the bat fae had ever seen before. In fact, someone had taken a video (probably Idia through the cameras) of you holding a knife to Crowley’s neck and demanding better living conditions. Lilia hadn’t seen that technique in a few decades, but he applauded you for your bravery to do that. You walked out of the office and with him to Ramshackle as though nothing had happened, and it shocked him.

You joined the Light Music Club a few weeks after your workload was decreased, and he was surprised to see you bringing a black cello. He didn’t take you as someone to play a musical instrument on top of all the other talents you had, but he figured that you would do it well and you exceeded his expectations. You played wonderfully, and to the other club members it was as though you both were speaking to each other through violin and cello.

Once you both get romantically involved, Ace said something along the lines of ‘Never took you as someone who likes older men’ and he was promptly slapped in the back of the head by you. Lilia giggled at the first year’s attempt at humor, but quickly led you away so that you wouldn’t kill him.

Uhhhhh PROBABLY 9L since it ends with everyone going off to war haha oopsie

Uhhhhhh probably merpirates? It's really gross and sappy. Dive into the ocean and kiss a mermaid in front of your entire crew. The 2 broken arms fic also got a pretty happy ending (Aizawa goes to bed and also maybe jerks it a little)

Do you write crossovers?

Not crossovers per se but I do enjoy a deep in the weeds AU

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I don't think so? The worst I get is people saying "wow almost no typos" which is very tame lmao

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Not yet! Kintsugi (the epilogue to 9L) will have some mild spice but I'm at a point in my life where I just couldn't be jazzed to write folks doing it sloppy style

I don't think so except for that website that's scraped like a ton of fics a few months back

I had one person request to translate 9L into Ukranian, though I never saw if they ended up doing it. Recently I've also had a couple people leave comments in Spanish so I assume they translated the story into Spanish somehow!

The unpublished FFXII AU is partially co-written by Robbirdthe8th, but it's been parked for like a year and a half. Also I would be remiss to omit @kyurilin who might as well get bonus credits for the Nutstang

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

Probably any of the Fire Emblem or Fruits Basket fics I started drafting in 2020/2021 before I figured out how to write fic lol

People tell me I am good at characterization! I think I'm also good at describing a setting, a skill that I exercise often in my technical writing.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Exposition, my nemesis. A necessary evil, but it's like pulling teeth, every time.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Short answer: I just. Don't.

Longer answer: I think there's a time and place for it, and I've seen both well-executed and clunky ways of doing it. I've never seen a need for it yet in anything I've written.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

BNHA was the first fandom I published anything for, though honourable mention goes to Fruits Basket and FE3H for convincing me that I can tell my own stories (and then get stuck trying to figure out how to write fiction woops).

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

Idk man I'm just vibing in my lane of erasermic et al right now

What's your favorite fic you've written?

Listen it's gotta be 9L. This fic is the reason I have made so many friends in this community. People have drawn fanart for it (one of which now lives permanently on my desk in the form of a mousepad, thank u Dragon). It is the story that got me into writing fic because it was a story that nobody else was telling, so I wrote the story that I wanted to read.

People still get to the endnotes on 9L and are like THIS IS YOUR FIRST FIC???? and yeah. I started writing fanfiction at the tender age of 28 and the first thing I decided was worth sharing is still my magnum opus. Anyone can write fic! Find a writer whose style you like, emulate it, and write the story you want to read. It's that simple.

How I feel about this character

This might be controversial....I don't hate her. I don't dislike her at all. She's just a shy sweet adorable little girl. She has great vibes. I think she's precious and I wanna squeeze her.

But like. I'll expand on my feelings down in the unpopular opinion section.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

The show never really gave us a ship dynamic, but pretty much just explicitly told us that Vee's love interest is Masha so I was like "sure I guess"

My non-romantic OTP for this character

I really like Vee and Camila. That's her mama! She gives her all the cuddles and forehead kisses that she's never received before!!!

My unpopular opinion about this character

Ultimately. I think she was a very unnecessary addition to the cast.

I know she's not real but I kinda felt bad for her. Yesterday's Lie was SUCH a strong episode, and Vee had a pivotal role in it. Her character worked excellently for the sake of spicing up the plot. But then once that episode was over, it felt like the show was a child who had just adopted a stray kitten without considering the responsibilities. Like okay you've got a basilisk in the show now. What are you gonna do with her?

They're gonna shove her in the human realm for the rest of season 2 so they don't have to think about her.

But surely once season 3 rolls around and she's back in the spotlight, she'll be relevant, right?

Well.

And I know the tune. "If they had a full season 3, they would have-"

Im not pointing fingers at the crew, blaming them for Vee's awkward inclusion in Thanks to Them. At the moment, I'm just looking at the show for what it is, rather than what it could have been.

And Vee gets. Nothing. She gets nothing. She gets SO MUCH nothing that the crew makes attempts to write her out of the episode because the Hexsquad is already too crowded. Why the hell did her teenage ass not wanna go to a Halloween party? And then at the end, they leave this little girl in the human realm on her own while the rest of her family ventures into certain doom.

Luz fucking DIED. Camila was a PUPPET. They very easily could not have come back.

Also this is kinda unrelated, but I didn't like Vee's mysterious "LUZ'S IMPOSTER" build up in season 1. But then again, that's mostly because her character ended up falling so flat. I didn't mind the subversion of the trope, I just wish Vee's writing stayed as consistently strong from that point onward.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

ANYTHING!!!! FUCKING ANYTHING!!!!! THROW THIS POOR GIRL A BONE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!!!

It's that special time once again, to show your heart and spread the love to all you care for~💕💝💕🤗And this year, I would like to take opportunity to dedicate my annual Valentine to my newest OTP, Smiling Critter DogDay x my OC, DeerDelight~🐶☀️💘🦋🦌 I was thinking what songs would fit their ship, and one that stood out to me the most, was one I've listened to ever since I finished college, back in 2008 - 'Hikaru Michi' a.k.a 'The Shining Road', which is the second closing theme to the well-known anime, Sonic X~🎶I remember seeing a music video years ago with tender moments between Sonic and Amy Rose from the show, and that was when inspiration struck~💡💗✍️ I decided to draw DogDay and DeerDelight in the same emotional reunion with Sonic and Amy, where he promised he would never leave her ;w; But instead of a rose, I chose forget-me-nots for DogDay to give to DeerDelight. The reason, is the meaning behind them - a symbol of true love and devotion, declaring love to another and representing a promise that you will always remember them~💝 Forget-me-nots are also considered a symbol of fidelity (loyalty) and faithfulness~🫶🏻 And this is what is happening between the two adorable critters right now. With DogDay declaring his love to DeerDelight (something she had always secretly hoped and wished for~🌟🙏🏻) and vowing that he will never ever forget her, and will always be with her by her side, no matter what...~🥹To which DeerDelight emotionally yet happily accepts, as they seal their love with a tender kiss and embrace~🐶☀️💕🦋🦌

To give the wholesome moment between DogDay and DeerDelight more feeling, I decided to add the last three sentences of the last verse of the song, both in Japanese and English, along with adding details of the shadowing and falling tears, which I have to say I'm really proud of~👍🏻😊✨ ‘Sigh...~’💕😌I am ever so pleased of how this precious piece turned out, just the way I imagined it to be and I really enjoyed working on it too~💓🥰 And a very💗💘💝~Happy Valentine’s Day 2024~💝💘💗to you too, my lovelies~! =^o^=🫂Hope you all like as well, have a lovely day and spread the love~!💞🫶🏻💕😍💕🫶🏻💞xoxo.
