Lokius. God of Stories Loki misses Mobius.

“I miss you,” Loki whispers, though why they don't know. It's not like the people on the timelines can hear them. At least, not unless they make it so, but speaking here inside Yggdrasil has no effect. The branches rustle as they always do and Loki sits among them, watching worlds sweeps by.

Time holds no meaning here. Everything and nothing happens at once. It consumes them. Sleep doesn't come, or if it does, they aren't aware of it. Life drifts by meaningless and yet there is meaning.

On a timeline, Mobius steps out of a timedoor behind a tree and then walks across the grass. Loki sees him stop to bend down and pet a little dog that comes running up to him, dragging its owner behind. He's not sure who they are, but Mobius smiles, although it never reaches his eyes anymore. It stabs at Loki's heart like a dagger.

Mobius: It’s a laundromat. Just put the quarters in.

Loki: This machine rattles like Fenrir’s jaws before battle.

Mobius: It’s just unbalanced.

Loki, pressing his forehead to the glass as it spins: I understand you now, little drum. You rage because you are caged.

Mobius: Did you microwave the tea?

Loki: No. I warmed it in the Box of Radiance.

Mobius: The microwave.

Loki, dramatically turning to face it: It hums with forgotten power. I gave it a sigil.

Mobius: That’s a sticky note that says ‘BURN WITH HONOR.’

Mobius: You can just throw the sponge away.

Loki, cradling it: He has served us. Faithfully. Tirelessly. He has absorbed our filth. He deserves rest. A memorial.

Mobius: It smells like mildew.

Loki: So do ancient kings, Mobius.

Mobius: did you sort the laundry?

Loki: All fabric is equal in the eyes of the gods.

Mobius: You shrunk my favorite sweater.

Loki: Then it was weak and did not deserve you.

“this ship is not canon” babe, they’re fictional characters. they’re not real. they’re literally dolls we play with. we don’t care about whether or not these fictional characters’ love story is canon in this piece of media that is also entirely based on fiction. I mean, sure, canon would be lovely, but it’s a bonus. it’s not necessary. what we care about is the fun of talking about these 2 idiots being in love.

we don’t give a fuck if they didn’t kiss in “canon”. they had raw sex in thousands of fics about them though. and I’d say that’s more than enough to make people who ship them happily ship them even harder. happy shipping!

No Place Like Home

Sometime after everything, Mobius ends up in Don’s place on the timeline and settles in. Loki is slowly but surely figuring out a way to leave the tree for longer periods of time. He wasn’t sure if Mobius would remember him, but loves him too much to stay away entirely even if he didn’t.

But Mobius does remember him, and his script flies out the window.
