Okay so I have this idea in my head and I need to get it out so if anyone wants to make this into a proper fic or something I would love that

Okay so if we’re taking the new TVA comic as canon to the show then my guess would be that Mobius tried to live on the sacred timeline (obviously not as Don since his original timeline was pruned) but he couldn’t do it and ended up going back to the TVA which gave the time for them to have changed things while he was gone, hence the new variant recruits and the Loki statues. (which I feel like would have been a Casey idea)

So Mobius comes back and things are very different now and he’s still getting used to it but the one thing he can’t seem to shake is the statues, the constant reminder of what he lost and what could’ve been. So now every morning without much thought about it, he walks by the statue and starts talking to it, he’ll tell this “Loki” how his day went, about a new case, anything really, something like a diary you know? But what Mobius doesn’t know is that somehow everything he’s been saying has been sent out to Loki stuck in that tree like prayer, and Loki desperately wishes he could say something back to him.

Eventually after trying very hard Loki is able to talk back, and one lonely morning Mobius walks up to the statue, sighs and simply says “mornin’ Loki” only to hear in his own head “hello Mobius”

AND THEN IT CONTINUES FROM THERE OR SOMETHING IDK OKAY

“this ship is not canon” babe, they’re fictional characters. they’re not real. they’re literally dolls we play with. we don’t care about whether or not these fictional characters’ love story is canon in this piece of media that is also entirely based on fiction. I mean, sure, canon would be lovely, but it’s a bonus. it’s not necessary. what we care about is the fun of talking about these 2 idiots being in love.

we don’t give a fuck if they didn’t kiss in “canon”. they had raw sex in thousands of fics about them though. and I’d say that’s more than enough to make people who ship them happily ship them even harder. happy shipping!

No Place Like Home

Sometime after everything, Mobius ends up in Don’s place on the timeline and settles in. Loki is slowly but surely figuring out a way to leave the tree for longer periods of time. He wasn’t sure if Mobius would remember him, but loves him too much to stay away entirely even if he didn’t.

But Mobius does remember him, and his script flies out the window.
