here's ur reminder that being a system is more than just the alters. sometimes we can get so caught up in syscourse we forget this fact but even our symptoms alone create an entirely different experience to endogenic plurality.

so here's a list of symptoms we experience because of this disorder (feel free to add your own!)

dissociation (out of body, disconnected feeling)

dissociation/derealization (the world feels off, feel like you're looking at yourself in 3rd person)

auditory dissociation (the world sounds like you're underwater)

body stiffness (usually due to being triggered, i find my hands clamp into fists)

dissociative seizures (look identical to others as epileptic seizures but instead are caused by distress)

splitting headaches (due to splitting new parts feels like a pressure building up)

migraines (stress related)

sudden memory loss (ive forgotten our body's name, phone password etc)

emotional amnesia (i can remember this event but i have no emotional connection to it)

emotional bleeding (there's someone near me in front and they're really upset so i feel the emotions but don't know the cause)

irritability, overstimulation, distraction that disrupts thinking (all from splitting)

executive dysfunction (too many parts are wanting conflicting tasks to be done)

alice in wonderland syndrome type dissociation (i look at the floor and it starts to move and collapse into itself)

nightmares/night terror (unprocessed trauma that's hidden can still make an appearance - we spent a good 6 years filled with terror every night when we slept)

flashbacks/general ptsd syndrome (randomly crying from triggers usually results in a dissociative seizure)

self doubt (unable to remember our trauma so thus we must be faking /s)

consequences of others actions (taking responsibility for actions committed by the system but not the particular part and making up for it despite emotional amnesia/general amnesia)

SOOO turns out there's apparently a way less harmful alternative to endos: Polymind! They have their own terms and general language, AND they make sure to distance themselves from the system community and make it very clear that they aren't systems, but their own thing!! It's super super cool, 1000% we support this!!!

NOTE: Polyminds are NOT endos, or systems at all, they're a separate thing. They may seem similar, and can have some similarities, but they are still very much different!!

not really a vent but more like confusion. am i the only person who gets super confused by endos calling anti-endos ableist????? because since endos aren't disordered being ableist against them for their 'plurality' should be impossible??? since ableism is the whole belief that people without disorders, mental or physical, are superior to those that have them???

After over 150 votes and 80% voting interested in the Sysblr Surveys, we are officially launching the Sysblr Survey 1!

This initial survey is very generalized to get a base reading across all system communities. At the end you will find a comment section to leave any notes or suggestions for future surveys. We plan to continue expanding our data collection and demos to many sub sections within the system and Plural communities.

this is one of the most true statements about the system community weve heard in a while. system accountability is NOT the same thing as being a doormat and apologizing for every little thing just because youre a system. no, im not exaggerating, this is something weve seen happen before. while system accountability is extremely important to have, there are things people will harp on systems for that they wont say a single word to a singlet about. its ridiculous

How the Mane Six would react if you told them you're a system!

1. Fluttershy

"I'm sorry I don't know what this is can you explain it to me? [after explaining] oh okay! I'll be sure to make sure I'll be kind to whichever one of you I meet!"

Always makes sure she's not offending you in any way, doesn't want to get anything wrong.

Wants to ask more questions because she's curious but feels it might be too invasive so just keeps her questions to herself and asks Twilight Sparkle later on.

Super kind to nonhuman and little alters and acts as a caretaker.

2. Rainbow Dash

"Oh no way! You really have all that stuff happen in your head? Can I talk to them too?"

Doesn't really understand much about systems but is very interested whenever you talk about it.

Whenever any of your alters talk to her she gets so incredibly excited about it and talks to them eagerly.

Sometimes gets things wrong on purpose just so you can correct her and explain more about being a system.

3. Pinkie Pie

"WAIT OH MY GOD DID YOU ENTER THE MIRROR POOL TOO? DID YOU GUYS DESTROY THE TOWN???"

Is convinced that she has the same experience as you and she knows what it's like to be a system. (Maybe she does?)

Doesn't really understand but her heart is in the right place.

She's encouraged your alters to go into the mirror pool to get separate bodies on several occasions.

Screams at anyone who is mean to you and is very protective over you.

4. Applejack

"Sugar I really don't understand what you're talking about, but I'll help in any way I can"

Makes you feel extremely comfortable even though she doesn't completely understand.

Never judges any alters that you split and treats them all as equals and how she treats you.

Stands by your side whenever other people are making you uncomfortable, ready to defend you as soon as you want her too.

5. Twilight Sparkle

"Oh Dissociative Identity Disorder! I've read about this in one of my books! Let me know what I can do to help!"

Has asked you to take part in several experiments so that she can write her on paper on DID.

Whenever you vent about being a system to her you notice she's got a notebook and she's furiously scribbling down notes.

You always feel so reassured while around Twilight she genuinely cares about your system a lot.

6. Rarity

"So my dear, each of you have different personalities? So I can make a different outfit for each alter?"

Made different dresses and outfits for each of your alters that encompassed their personalities and made them feel comfortable.

Doesn't ever pry about system stuff and just treats all your alters as individuals.

Modern "Tulpamancy" is a bastardization of an ancient closed practice, and claiming to be a "Tulplagenic System" is both shitty to actual systems AND cultural appropriation Anecdotal evidence is NOT the same as scientific evidence and a few scientists using anecdotes to say "Yea endos are probably real" is not only not enough evidence to prove they are real, but is also extremely unscientific, stop treating it like it's infallible evidence

Fictives are NOT their sources, and as such no fictive needs to apologize for anything their source did, regardless of if they're source connected or identify with their source

Source dating is extremely fucking weird stop doing that

Feeding into and reinforcing delusions is awful, extremely anti-recovery, and outright dangerous. Stop defending IRLs/DAs and insisting it's fine

Regular trauma survivors who don't have CDDs don't belong in CDD spaces (genuinely can't believe we have to say this, this goes for endos too yall don't belong either)

Just because you experience something vaguely similar to a symptom of a disorder, that doesn't automatically mean you have the disorder, or that your experience is exactly the same as someone who has the disorder
