God's country is really really overhated which is so disappointing cuz I honestly love wicca's part, but that's not really what I came here to talk about. God's country is mostly special to me because I visited my favorite place in the world while listening to it, and I didn't really intend to get into that song at first, it really just happened. After a while of listening on the road trip (which is one of the best parts about visiting home) I really started to like it a lot, and then I was crying? I don't know. But when I made it to Virginia (my favorite place, also home) I just left it on repeat, and that was the most impactful visit. Before this visit, I was just like "man I really do enjoy it here and i wouldn't mind to live here" but after the trip it was much different cuz it was like "I'm really upset that I don't live here" and i feel this sort of.... completion? When I'm in that town, it feels spiritual. God's country is really important to me because it's like smelling an old perfume because you know how that brings back memories and stuff or whatever. Anyway, that trip was all so surreal and I cried like a baby on the way back to South Carolina because goddamn I hate it here so much and I love it there so much. Also all of my favorite family lives up there and I'd feel much happier around them. I guess this is more about Virginia than God's country??? I don't know, but I remember listening to the extended version on SoundCloud and it was like oh my God this is so important to me, and I feel like ethel cain herself is so so important to me because I feel so connected to this music on another level because I'm sort of living it? I think this trip home plus the music together just brought to me the thought "god isn't a being, it's a feeling" anyway thanks for attending my cringey yap session I'll also include some pictures from that trip

redrew this alien creature design (adult and baby form) i drew for an amino contest at 12 years old. i got second place and won badges or whatever the prize was

their whole thing i think was that they were giants who swam across space to play with planets and dress themselves in shiny jewelry. i also think i added lore of them being predators of the gems from steven universe to make jewelry out of them
