As was supposed, I was studying at a university in the month of October in which the war broke out, but my university was destroyed, and the universities in the entire sector were destroyed.

Now we have been away from our city and our beautiful home for 9 months. We have lost our house that my father built stone by stone and he worked 24/7 to build this house. But the occupation destroyed it, and no house remained in my beautiful city remained intact.😭💔💔

We are now living in a tent or semi-tent, which does not protect us from the cold of winter or the rain. Our lives are very difficult.😔😭

Thanks to your donations, we have been able to buy food and flour, and now I am asking you for help to buy a tent that will protect us from the cold of winter. We do not know what it means to sleep because of the extreme cold.🥶

As you can see, we do not have cooking gas because the crossings are closed, and we suffer a lot when cooking...😔😭‼️

My mother also needs medicine and vitamins, but she cannot buy them because they are expensive due to the closure of the crossings and the scarcity of the quantity.😭

i really wish TF fandom would stop acting like "cybertronians have no gender" has ever been something that is true, either on a metatextual or in-universe level.

the first reason that they have gender is because they are created by humans to adhere to (typically white western) human gender norms. the audience is meant to read them as men and women. even simon furman, ground zero for "they don't have gender," did not actually mean for ex Megatron to be understood as genderless--he meant Megatron to be understood as a man. so that's the metatextual reason they're not genderless even in settings that allege they are--all real humans involved understand them as gendered characters.

the second reason they have gender is because uh. they do. like they're written to have gender.

i am not familiar with every transformers continuity, but in the vast majority of them they do just have the same gender binary as we do in real life. the only real exception i can think of to this is, maybe, the Marvel comics... but again, it would be incorrect to analyze the characters there as anything except men from a metatextual level, and it has to be acknowledged that the motivation there is really obviously just misogyny.

an honorary mention does have to go to the IDW 2005 continuity, though the cybertron there does have an extremely explicit gender binary. even in phases one and two, it would be inaccurate to say cybertronians don't have gender--they have gender. it's just that a single gender is so culturally dominant that the characters have become blind to it, and only register "gender" as something other species do. when arcee says that she's the only cybertronian to have a gender, it should be understood that she is not a reliable narrator at this point. she is dealing with a lot of internalized misogyny at this point and "woman," "gender," and "freak" are all synonyms in her mind. it doesn't mean they actually are.

and then, of course, we get to the later half of phase two and then phase three, and find out that cybertron (the planet) has a uniquely sexist and cissexist take on gender, for reasons unexplained, and literally every other colony has the same gender binary as we do in real life. additionally, there are other transfeminine cybertronians, and the dominant cybertronian gender is male (which we find out when arcee, now more comfortable in her gender, says that she was forged male--the dominant gender on cybertron). so it's just literally not true on any level.

even in continuities where cybertron is presented as monogendered there's usually nothing to suggest that the male 'coded' characters are anything other than men.

this is a very long post to say that there has never been a time when "cybertron doesn't have gender" has been used to mean anything other than "cybertron doesn't have women," in canon or in fandom. stop saying it and stop using it. also. write about the fucking women jesus christ

also the reason why most people hc soundwave and shockwave as nonbinary is bc you guys see their non humanlike features + soundwaves robot voice as androgynous, which isnt bad but cmon guys nonbinary ≠ androgynous we know this

its annoying how a lot of tf fans love the gender binary. like yes saying "the transformers are genderless bc they dont reproduce" is incorrect both in universe and meta textual as the media still just refers to most tfs as men. but that doesn't mean "the transformers have 2 genders" thats also not true. can we please have more exploration of non binary genders beyond the blanket statement of whether or not the tfs have sex or trying to deny the existence of female characters. the ever present dumbfuck fanon is presented as inherently queer yet "sire and carrier" is just another gender binary. i never see any nonbinary hcs either outside of soundwave or shockwave. i love nightshade but other characters can also have they/them pronouns
