i am so genuinely excited for october, you have no idea

#it’s not that i don’t like working on the project. i just need a break from it #kinda like oh hey i won’t force myself to post at deadlines anymore #and by deadlines i mean specific time stamps down to the minute. trying a meta detail here #which is greatly needed right now because this term is about to be intense #also because i am kinda burnt out from zexal. or is that not the right word #both burnt out and severely overdue for a rewatch. i say that a lot but i really cannot bring myself to rewatch it #or watch anything really #kinda have the urge to open comms but whenever i want to i go into an art crisis #and end up never opening comms #well. one more piece left so #final stretch!#juicetobs #misckeys #gummy sours

Sentient Mystery Shack, who is really biased towards Stan, so when Ford tells Stan he has to give it back after the summer it’s on sight.

Ford keeps tripping over nothing, nothing is where it's supposed to be and somehow he keeps running into closets when he tries to go outside.

But the worst part, the WORST part is that Ford's lightbulb just won't. Work. No matter what he does it keeps flickering and exploding.

Ford is spiraling.

There is no reason why it shoudln’t work. All his trial runs work perfectly. He’s already checked the Shacks wiring three times and relearned this dimensions science from the ground up.

Nothing works.

The Rift? Bill? The impending apocalypse? Eating? Sleep? Who cares about that.

WHY. WONT. THE. LIGHTBULB. WORK???

It doesn’t help that Stan keeps laughing at him.

“Then you do it!” Ford eventually snaps at Stan.

Stan shrugs and with a little song under his breath screws his own lightbulb in. It works perfectly.

Stanford screams.

Non transmitigation au where Shen Yuan auditions for a part in PIDW on a lark when it gets a live action adaptation, not thinking he’ll actually get a part (he just wanted to be able to say he did it okay? He was dated okay??! He was not dared he just thought it’d be neat, but he’ll admit to nothing.) and, much to his horror, ends up cast as Shen Qingqiu.

He somehow accidentally makes Shen Qingqiu so likable that he’s the most popular character. The fandom goes feral over him. He becomes famous. New fans are joining the bandwagon in droves to watch him.

And all the while, Shen Yuan is frantically trying to pretend he isn’t the most notorious anti fan troll to clown on the internet. He has never heard of PIDW before what do you mean Peerless Cucumber whomst?

#im actually close to finishing the game naow... i got to dialga's fight but got my ass kicked #this game is making me emotional wtf.. i teared up a little when my team reunited with the guild #and when they told them the truth abt grovyle and everyone agreed to help them. thats so. peace and love oh my god #also chatot.. i was wrong abt him he comes thru even if hes annoying. “prized recruits” YOURE GOING TO MAKE ME CRY #team skull also. like i cannot defend them being assholes but i still felt bad seeing them beat up #this game is so good at making me feel things towards characters i was actually filled with seething rage everytime i had to watch #team skull scheme against me and not do anything. the most difficult thing about growing as a person socially, as in getting out of your shell and noticing that you are, is that there will still be times when it doesn’t feel like you’ve grown at all! times when you can’t really connect with anyone around you, times when you fail to enter into an existing conversation, times when you say the wrong thing (or nothing at all when in hindsight you probably should’ve). but that’s also kind of the best thing, because that’s the thing that helps you realize that sometimes, it’s not you or your lack of skills or any shortcoming. sometimes certain environments just aren’t for you and certain people aren’t your people, and that’s okay. that’s human. it’s okay to not feel the progress you have made all the time.

#and that goes for every type of growth #backstory of this post:#after I came back after a few months of doing my international internship I felt so much more confident #it was easier making friends and walking up to people #i took more chances #and generally just heard it a lot from those around me who kept telling me how much i’d changed #this was further supported by my first office job that went pretty well #but then came my grad internship. and while i love the work and have met some great people I noticed it was difficult again #there was one office lunch where no one spoke to me at all! it was my first week and I didn’t know what to say #if i should even say anything #we were all sitting at the same table #not one person even glanced my way #it made me doubt myself; i was doing so well before #was that even real? why can’t I just speak up? this is not the way to connect with people #especially in my first week!#but you know what #i was still doing well. i just had to factor in the fact that these were all middle aged people talking about reality shows i didn’t watch #and bikes i knew nothing about #as well as people who knew i was the new intern yet didn’t speak to me at all even though I’d introduced myself to them all individually #and even so #people I couldn’t really talk to about MY interests outside of work either #my point being:#it’s okay to not feel a connection with everyone you meet #it’s okay to fall back into old habits even though you’ve developed new ones #it will never unravel the process you’ve made and the connections you’ve built #you’re doing fine #after this internship I will surround myself with people who reaffirm that belief #growth in the self #self love #positivity

One of the funniest parts about the whole “Leo not giving Draxum any grace” idea is that Draxum is one of the ONLY notable older men in the show that Leo isn’t willing to give a proper second chance to OR really hear out in the first place.

Leo notably does his best to do good in Tim’s eyes #apologizing earnestly to Tim even when it’s not his fault even #and this is another older man Leo refers to as a surrogate father #Leo also quickly falls for the evil hair Yokai Masseur’s lies despite the bad vibes he got #Leo also was the main one who went easy on Bullhop #and let’s not forget Señor Hueso and Leo’s strong attachment to him despite Hueso’s consistent insults and annoyance #like even WARREN gets Leo’s sympathy and assistance when they all helped him get Hypno back #you can even argue that Leo WAS willing to hear Draxum out when they first met #and Leo assumed Draxum was surrendering before the whole ‘BARON DRAXUM DOES NOT SURRENDER’ thing #hell he’s not even antagonistic really to Draxum he just doesn’t really like him #he’ll listen to his advice if necessary #anyway this being a fairly consistent character trait of Leo’s is funny to me #it’s always specifically older men too - Big Mama does NOT get anything but immediate suspicion #not all of them but most of the ones Leo has specific interactions with are like this #I’m just saying!!!
