during the cloning arc of Danny, there's at least ONE clone that escaped without Vlad's knowledge. It was a bit more cunning and smart and knew that they had to get away.

The thing is, this clone Danny isn't a halfa at all, its a full on human. Alive and not half dead.

But it is sick and frail so when this clone Danny manages to get to the doorstep of Gotham, it was surprising.

lets call clone Danny as Daniel since it was the name that Vlad mostly used in his mutterings that Daniel caught on.

And while Daniel is in Gotham, sickly and lying on one of the rooftops, he met a vigilante with a red helmet.

"What the-?" Red Hood questioned when he saw Daniel's mouth dripping green blood or some kind of goop, which in turn reminded Red Hood of the Lazarus Pits.

"Who are you, kid?" Red Hood crouches down slowly to Daniel but the boy only turned his back on him, coughing and wheezing, "Hey! What happened to you?!" alarmed and confused, Red Hood shakes the boy gently. His fingertips could easily felt the cold coming off from Daniel's body.

And when Daniel stopped coughing, he faced Red Hood with a tired smile, "I'm fine." Daniel answered, "But I can't be here forever..." he added before coughing up some more of those green goop.

"Hold on, kid." Red Hood said, "I'll get you some help." but Daniel stopped him from leaving.

"Don't. I know when my time is up." Daniel said, "I'm just glad that I get to explore this far..." he wheezes out, "Don't feel bad tho... I'm just a clone..." Daniel stopped breathing.

And Red Hood thinks he's Tim's clone.

There are a LOT of parallel shots overlaying Mel and Viktor in the same place in the frame (sometimes right after each other but also just mirrored composition) but in this scene Mel and Jayce are literally talking about how Jayce should be spending time with Viktor. Buddy you've got your head in the wrong lap, your totally platonic lab bestie is dying and getting seduced by a magic orb.

Yeah uh. Ran out of steam for this one! So not super happy with some of these panels + won’t finish the comic BUT I thought the Bill gun panel was funny (finally, after all these years - Bill Cipher has A Gun) so I’m posting this now lmao. And then I’m posting again tonight so double whammy! Yippee :p

Anyways how it was going to go was Stan punching Bill’s lights out when the cloak fails, the Stans freaking out over what to do next, Bill waking up while they argue and trying to strangle Stan until Ford shoots him with the crossbow and accidentally kills Bill’s host, and the twins having a trauma bonding crisis moment together over how to hide a body LOL. Just normal family activities

perhaps this is naive of me, but sometimes when i read florid descriptions of the coming demographic collapse all i can think is that as a species, we finally did it--somewhere between the onset of the industrial revolution and the invention of the pill, we finally broke the iron yoke of agrarian civilization that linked our ability to feed ourselves to the size of our population, the yoke that tied the pleasures of sex to the burdens of reproduction, the yoke that meant most people would have to suffer the burden of seeing roughly half their children die before age five. and yes, if this all keeps up, the world will change as a result, change in ways both already kind of sad (a lot of small towns vanishing off the map, as the remaining population continues to concentrate in big cities) and in we can barely begin to understand now (what does the world look like after 200 years of population shrinkage? i can't even imagine). and there will be new problems. i do worry (for example) about how we will care adequately for the aged. there will be significant problems we have to confront. but god almighty i am glad we broke that yoke.
