Okokokok we know that the Hexcore made Viktor’s body all metal, and if you watch the scene where he heals huck, you can see metal scraps flying towards them (which I think is what the healed skin of Hucks face is made of—arcane magic and metal), and when he touches his cane for the first time, the metal becomes a sort of Bio-metal like Viktor’s body.

So this leads me to believe Viktor can warp metal to his will, even if he doesn’t know it yet. Maybe he can infuse his “Bio-metal”/arcane substance thing with regular metal and then warp and control its shape! He could use it to make all kinds of machines and metal limbs and replace body parts with mechanical ones*cough* Glorious evolution *cough cough*, and I think that’d be an awesome take on the Machine Herald.

The Hexcore as a metaphor for AI.

The Hexcore manipulating Viktor as a vessel, powered by a charge, a potential, or a recursive impulse.

The Hexcore leading Viktor as if by some form of innate programming, through footprints and hallucinations of Sky.

Viktor said so himself in the first season: The Hexcore is capable of learning, adapting.

If runes are akin to a programming language: symbols as tools to harness the Arcane, then wild runes are the innate language by which the Arcane speaks to Viktor: now controlled by that which he once created.

Arcane headcanon thing?

Sky becomes one with the hex core. She lives on withen it. Anyone who merges with hextech to a certain point can start hearing her words. This is how Viktor keeps communicating with her, and is guided by her. All the people Viktor heals with his hex powers, are also guided by her as a sort of goddess. She can release people from the hexcore, thus allowing them to finally die. She does this for Viktor when he becomes to sick from healing to go on. She allows him to leave the hex hive mind, allowing him death.

okay so, as many have already hypothesized vik seems less himself after he is turned into robot jesus. That is evident by his hasty and out of character decisions.

Probably the hexcore is manipulating him or at least leading him to certain decisions. There’s were my dumb ass theory comes in. What if the color of his eyes changes with how control the hexcore has at the moment ?

this? much more viktor. The emotion and expression are there. He is talking to jayce about sky and his eyes turn almost completely amber like his original ones.

also this? The sad viktor look that we are so familiar with. the moment he raises his eyes is because he hears sky’s voice and they turn their original color.

Hexcore is evil is a take

I really find it intriguing how parts of the fandom continues to try to plot how hexcore will or did corrupt Viktor. As we know the first sign one has fallen to the dark side is... providing free medical help to poor people in need of it and alleviating suffering.

I would expect for these optics to be part of FoxNews but not idk. position of an average person. I really love this show for setting up the vibe that all Zaunites are dangerous until proven otherwise, even if you larp as fucking Jesus among lepers it still not enough to prove you're not evil. Poor people have it like that I guess.

Anyway, I presume Viktor is going to live high life now doing what he always wanted - being a hermit and helping people in Zaun - until Piltover and noxus and Jinx drop by.

And that seems to be the same aesthetic of buildings as these for Act2:

Also props to Arcane magic for glitching out all hextech weapons so that the four ladies can't kill each other efficiently.

Also someone should tell Ambessa that Zaun has hextech ... that will be rude awakening.

S2 Act I Viktor Thoughts™

ok but what is eating me up is that (and yes I am overthinking and assuming and extrapolating BUT)

Viktor has, along with being an incredibly accomplished scientist, inventor, and all around genius, spent most of life in pain or at the very least discomfort. Towards the end of season one, his illness was getting more advanced, he was having more trouble just breathing, not to mention nosebleeds, headaches, his experiments and augmentations with the hex core, taking shimmer for the first time, etc. AND to top it off, the emotional pain. Of being orphaned, of having to fight to prove himself in piltover, his relationship with Jayce and having to worry about whether he's going to break their promise of never using hex tech for weapons. Watching Jayce's animosity towards Zaun grow. Seeing the council's reaction to them proposing Zaun's independence. Being so close to potentially curing himself, and then boom he lost sky. Knowing he's got to destroy the one thing that could've helped him. Knowing he created something capable of controlling him and killing someone close to him. Almost j*mping. He's very familiar with pain.

So then imagine he wakes up, his body has been permanently changed by the hex core, and maybe he isn't feeling pain anymore but...what if he isn't feeling anything at all? What if he realizes, logically, what has happened to him, and he wants to feel angry or sad or scared but he just can't? When Jayce hugs him, what if he can't feel it in the same way he used to? What if the hex core stole his ability to feel pain, but also stole his ability to feel anger, passion, love, even gentle physical touch? What if he'd accepted, at some point between the explosion and waking up, that he was going to die, and he made peace with it. And then he wakes up, realizing he's been doomed to an existence that he's completely unfamiliar with, as a direct result of his creation as well as his best friend, who meant well but ultimately broke his promise to destroy said creation? He may not be in pain, he may not have to fight to stay alive in the way that he used to. But is it possible for him to feel any sort of relief or happiness in the traditional sense after being so changed? Is he still human enough for that?

If the answer is no, is he aware of that? What does he think about all this? About knowing he may not be able to feel anything again, including pain? How will he cope? How will he feel? What if the writers of arcane actually hate me? What if they wanted to see me keel over and cry and pace my room at night because they know I spend too much time thinking about this little twink? What if they seek to destroy me emotionally? What if

Ok…so we all know the Hexcore is leading Viktor in someways/guiding his actions/manipulating him…but what if its somehow responsible for some of the events leading Viktor to his destiny.

I think it led Viktor over to the blueprints for the Hextech weapons, which was 1/2 of the reason he left; Jayce mentioned how strange it was that he was fine and Viktor was on the brink of death even though they were right next to each other when the explosion went off; and leading him with the hallucinated footsteps to shimmer camp. Now idk how the Hexcore could’ve done these things but…we don’t necessarily know how the hexcore works at all sooooo maybe?
