✨🌸 For the last day of @azrielappreciationweek , we’re celebrating a moment so rare and beautiful—laughter. In this piece, Elain and Azriel share a genuine, joyous laugh that seems to light up every shadow.

Then Azriel tipped his head back and laughed. I’d never heard such a sound, deep and joyous. Cassian and Rhys joined him, the former grabbing the glass bottle from Azriel’s hand and examining it. “Brilliant,” Cassian said. Elain smiled again, ducking her head. Azriel mastered himself enough to say, “Thank you.” I’d never seen his hazel eyes so bright, the hues of green amid the brown and gray like veins of emerald. “This will be invaluable.”

🦇🌸Elain and Azriel’s relationship is already woven with these small, joyful moments, hints of a deeper connection that’s growing. I can’t wait for their story to unfold even more, to see them discover new sides of each other.

It’s no secret that I keep @luxury_banshee in my basement. (Don’t worry, she’s fed and gets sunlight on the weekends!), and she makes the most gorgeous stunning, even orgasm inducing Elriel art ever!!! One of my fave Elriel theories is that they are true mates, one designed by The Mother, because we have seen throughout the series just how deeply perfect they are for each other. @luxury_banshee and I have been waiting to do this idea for a while, and we finally get to share it with yall! We know from HOFAS that the cauldron is corrupted, so it’s not out of the realm to think that Elain and Azriel have a secret mating bond that’s been buried. Don’t forget how their mother said that Elain will wed for love and beauty, which so accurately describes her and Azriel’s relationship! A secret wedding for them as well is so perfect, since we already know their love is forbidden. I think it’s definitely possible. Who does Azriel like? Elain. Who does Azriel want? Elain. Who is Azriel losing sleep over? Elain. So here’s a stunning beautiful piece of their true destined bond snapping into place when uniting and binding themselves together in marriage. I think that @luxury_banshee is the perfect person to execute such a wonderful commission, and she definitely nailed it! What do yall think!

In Azriel’s bonus chapter, we learn he’s been sleeping terribly because of his feelings for Elain, but when Elain asked him to put her necklace on, his head went quiet. I think we’ll see Azriel finally get a restful sleep once he’s able to sleep next to the woman he’s been wanting and needing for over a year now. The woman who caused those razor sharp thoughts in his head to quiet at the prospect of being close to her.

Once they finally act on their feelings, I think there’s nothing Az would rather do on his time off than spend time with Elain (and catch up on his sleep 😅). We already saw hints of this when he chose to spend time with her in the garden or stay up with her at 3am to talk while everyone else went to bed 💗

While there is certainly no need for poetry, it exists nonetheless between these two. There is something so utterly poetic about two individuals seemingly lost within the darkness, yet accepting what it is that they see and remaining resilient despite it all.

For this piece, @norabraveseeker and I wanted to showcase the dynamic between Gwyn and Azriel. We are so taken by the potential that their story has and the narratives and plot arcs attached to both of them. Equals. Yin and Yang. Wind and Water. Light and Shadow. Holy and Blessed. Warriors. Carynthian. Survivors. The Shadowsinger and the Priestess. The Illyrian and the Valkyrie.

This is my first Lucien portrait and I love it so much! I wanted to portray Lucien in the way that I see him and I got inspired by that scene in ACOWAR where he sees Elain and his breathing stops when she faces him.
