A genuine curiosity of mine, for my mutuals and followers that grew up with/have watched Phineas and Ferb, what's your favorite song from the series and if you're comfortable sharing the reason why? That includes: across the second dimension, summer belongs to you, Candace against the universe (or whatever that one's called), the marvel episodes, and the star wars episodes)

Phineas and Ferb created a 40+ hour day by traveling around the world on the summer solstice. But their bodies didn't know that, hence why Phineas was so easily frustrated by Candace's refusal to get on the trike.

And apparently, neither did the invention.

Let me explain.

Phineas and Ferb's inventions rarely last more than one day before being destroyed in some way.

The Amazing Sun Beater 3000 started to fall apart in the Himalayas, when the gang was about halfway around the world. That was a little over the amount of time a typical invention would last.

And by the time the gang reached the Atlantic Ocean, the ASB3000 was already long past its expiration.

If we assume that Phineas's watch was set to Danville time when he said "It's 4:00, we're in a baguette boat with a fuel tank full of snail grease," then the ASB3000 was almost a full 24 hours expired. And given that the average length of a day in a regular episode is the approximate lifespan of an invention, and that is... substantially less than 24 hours, the ASB3000 had lasted -- let's say 3-4 times longer than it was supposed to.

So at that point, it decided to take matters into its own hands and randomly destroy itself, just to keep the laws of the universe intact.

Every time I watch summer bogs to you special I get confused about the time line and what it has to do with the summer solstice and I always feel stupid

Could you explain it?

so essentially because they’re following the sun by travelling in a plane they aren’t seeing any sunsets (the only time they get close to one before they get back home is when they’re stuck on the island) but as they fly over the last bit of ocean the sun "rises" again because they’re moving quicker than the sun is setting. the summer solstice is the longest day of the year (sun rises the earliest and sets the latest so it’s the day of the year with the most daylight). sbty is set over a couple of days so they can get all the sun around the whole world. yknow how it seems impossible that santa can deliver all the presents in the world in one night? timezones help, if they’re following the direction of time then they can do it before the sun sets in danville. it makes less sense now that I’ve written it lmao

Hi y'all!! I finally finished writing a new fanfic (yippee)!!

Summary:

How were you supposed to feel after not kissing your girlfriend because she was floating away on what (he assumes) used to be a plane? No really, Jeremy didn’t know. Instead, he was left standing there as Candace, her brothers, and their friends faded into a speck in the distance. He had to get back to Danville ASAP.

I don't know if I'll ever figure out how to promote my writing but I hope this is good enough!!
