Alabaster the Doomed Session Fan theory
Ophiuchus went insane trying to give himself superpowers. This whole idea came from Ophiuchus limeblood status and all the different theories of the different powers limebloods help to make them a threat to Alternian Society (when in reality they were likely destroyed by Lord English's personal grudge over anything else).
Alongside that it Cross's over (heh) his Mad Scientist and Superhero motifs, considering that "Scientist gives himself superpowers" is a classic superhero origin. He's already somewhat implied to experiment on himself.
So what if he saw "something", science goes to far and now we have a guy who breaks into people's houses to scream at them about homestuck.

THEY'RE FINALLY DONE
this was fun as hell and I had a great time piecing together every detail together from the results of the poll. Yearning and Bitch Energy being real high REALLY caused Loop's outfit to be as drastic as it is.
I'll be making a second post later with all the various doodles and design notes I made along with the references I used.
UNTIL THEN please pore your attention over every detail and try to find the bits of yearning. There's inspirations from everyone except Siffrin

a moment in time, a master in parenthood
-> the family tree | eph design
kiddos!!! Lemme tell you a bit about em
Aeon — The eldest daughter, ever a free spirit. She matures into a stalwart leader, taking on the mantle of running Scala’s keyblade academy as headmaster from her father
Clio — Born 2 years after Aeon, the bullheaded Clio takes it upon herself to keep her big sister and little brother in line, but only because she means well. She works hard to preserve her family’s legacy for as long as she’s alive.
Mori — Born 3 years after Clio. A kind and empathetic child who inherits both his father’s love for books and the Master’s Defender keyblade.

Incredibly niche detail but I'm so happy because PEACH IS BACK.
In Brya's Love scout rifle lore, several Ghosts discuss Brya, Eris' Ghost and what she was like. There's Glint (Crow's Ghost obviously), there's Ophiuchus (Ikora's Ghost), Targe (Zavala's Ghost) and... Peach.
Peach is an unpartnered Ghost that was only ever mentioned in one lore tab, back in Ghost Stories, called Difference of Opinion. This lore tab has been living in my head rent free ever since. It's about two unpartnered Ghosts, Peach and Balthazar, being interviewed about their opinions on the Traveler. And Peach is absolutely hilarious. Excerpts, but please read the whole thing:
Q: What is the Traveler, in your understanding? BALTHAZAR: Great question. PEACH: Terrible question.
She's immediately so done.
BALTHAZAR: We know she wished for us to raise Guardians to be her avatars and defenders— PEACH: Do we, though? Just because we CAN do that doesn't mean we were MADE to do that. And who says it's a "she" anyway? Why does "it" need a gender?
FAVE.
PEACH: Look, I know tons of Ghosts who died before they ever found their Guardians. I know some Ghosts who still haven't found a Guardian. You haven't. And I haven't, but I don't think I'm "incomplete" because of it.
Real.
Q: Do you remember being inside the Traveler? PEACH: No. BALTHAZAR: I do. We call it the Womb. PEACH: I have never and will never call it that.
HELP ME.
PEACH: If I never find my Guardian, I'll go steal someone else's. I hear Sagira had a good time with that.
This has been my unhinged theory ever since Osiris lost Sagira, but I think Peach should just steal him. Doesn't even have to be his real Ghost, but she should spend time with him for sure.
I have no clue why include Peach specifically with other Vanguard Ghosts (I'm counting Crow and Glint as Vanguard tbh). She's a Ghost with literally one mention ever, years ago. We are one step closer to Peach stealing Osiris.
#destiny 2#destiny 2 spoilers#season of the witch#season of the witch spoilers#peach#this is just so wild to me. why peach specifically#i'm such a peach fan. 1 lore tab blorbo for real. thank you for including her

1 your hc were great tysm!!! (i'm now just picturing FL frantically wrapping Caelum’s horns first time they see them break LOL) and 2 (some of) my favorite characters (cuz i'm indecisive) are Gavin (hence my title), Guy, Lasko(first character audio i listened to was one of his I don't remember witch one tho),Milo, and Sam (to name 5 lol)
~ Deviant anon /(^ x ^)\
(ps if you want to write any headcanons for any of the characters above you can use this ask as a space for that! (no pressure ofc!) :> )
Im so mad I wrote this and Tumblr ate it fUCK MEEEE
oh well you win some you lose everything
TRICK!!!
— Gavin rarely returns to Aria partly due to his Steward, Ophiuchus. Aside from not acknowledging his boundaries, Ophiuchus doesn't call Gavin by his chosen name, deliberately calling him "Vindemiator" instead. Ophiuchus finds it disrespectful that Gavin would change him name, so Gavin refuses to pay them any mind until an ounce of respect is given to him. (Which won't be for a while...)
— Guy was always told that screenwriting takes luck, and that he'd never be able to make it to film because of that. People rarely believed in him. Years later, with his script still not pitched, he's starting to think the people who doubted him were right, and he just wasted thousands on a degree that means nothing.
— Lasko's parents were insanely strict during his childhood. They controlled everything about him. The kind of friends he had were controlled, his curfew was always no later than 4:30pm, he couldn't use entertainment technology until the weekend; and even then the hours were limited. If he ever tried to argue against this, his parents would yell and threaten him until he was teary-eyed and sobbing. When his powers manifested, this behavior only amplified tenfold. He was homeschooled from 7th grade to 12th, and was rarely allowed outside at all.
— Milo was always in love with cats, and expressed love for them ever since he was a toddler. For his 13th birthday, Marie scraped up enough money to get him a tiny calico cat. Milo loved her with all his heart, for the year he had her. About a year later, Milo came back from school and couldn't find her anywhere. Marie hasn't seen her, but told him that she might come back soon. After a month, Colm was home long enough for Milo to find him and ask if he'd seen her. He admitted that he sold her to a family for money a while ago after running low on cash. Milo tried contacting the family, and Marie went to go find them, but the family said she was violent and Colm wouldn't take her back when they initially called, so they gave her to a shelter. He contacted the shelter and they admitted to euthanizing her a few weeks ago.
— Sam had an older brother he admired more than anything when he was younger. They had a 7 year age difference, but they would hang out together whenever his brother was free, since no one outside of his family wanted to interact with Sam. After his brother turned 18, he moved states overnight, all the way north. Sam tried calling and texting him multiple times but he never answered. The night before running away, he called his brother one last time, and he picked up very angry. He was yelling about how annoying Sam was, about how that family, including him, ruined his life, and to "Leave me the hell alone!". That was the last time Sam spoke to his brother, and to Sam, his older brother is just as rotten as everyone else in his family. Except for his grandma of course.
#I'm sorry it took so long after Tumblr at my first post I remembered I had a paper due in 30 minutes and rushed to finish it😭😭😭#redacted audio#redacted asmr#redactedverse#redacted sam#redacted milo#redacted guy#redacted gavin#redacted lasko

On woy ships, the reason skeleton dance works (as in, it doesn't come off gross if people ship them) because Hater trying to kill him never comes off as anything to take serious. There's nothing really at stake because their villain & good guy relationship is such a silly, cartoony one. Wander doesn't fear him and, deep down, Hater doesn't really hate him (or at the very least, he hates him significantly less and less as time goes on, and it's always been an extremely petty hate.) It's literally confirmed that they're going down a path that's going to end in a mutual friendship between them. Meanwhile, with Dominator, even if we set aside the fact that she literally isn't into men, she exists as a serious threat, a serious villain, an actual terror. Wander operates as being in denial of it, but he's literally very scared of her himself. It's not very subtle that she upsets him. A lot. She's played straight as a cruel, sadistic, twisted monster of a villain who has zero qualms with offing him as soon as she's done torturing him via destroying everyone he loves right in front of him. If given the chance to have any space in his life, she would just be his abuser. That's why him trying to reach out and make friends with her (and not because he wants to but because he feels a moral obligation to) is repeatedly framed as harmful and bad. The fact that people look at them and go, "ouhhhgh but she's Hot so he hasss to ogle and fawn over her!! 🤤" is just. Eugh.
I want to give an example from my 1st all-time favorite show before the 2nd became WOY.
This is Darknest/Ophiuchus Star Princess from Star Twinkle Pretty Cure. She's just like Dominator in many ways, and I'd really like to dedicate like a whole ass post about her, but back to her 2nd biggest similarity with her that isn't a massive spoiler for both of their characters: they're both conquerors who have caused galactic destruction + genocide.
The point I'm gonna make here is a massive spoiler for the ending of this series, but I'm gonna try to not say it outright. They don't do what they did with Dominator. That's all I can say. It's such a massive fumble that it's seen as one of the series' biggest issues. It's a great installment in the franchise: I actually HIGHLY recommend it if you love WOY. When I watched all of the latter back in May, I got a lot of Star Twinkle vibes when they were just going around meeting people on new planets. They don't visit as much planets as WOY because it only has 50 episodes (and it even takes a while for them to actually go into space, but trust me, the first few episodes will keep you entertained). All in all, I love Star Twinkle just as much as Wander.
(unfortunately the only way to watch it is through yo ho ho sites, but wcostream doesn't have those NASTY ads)
Back to Dominator though- Domi not being redeemed was great because, like you said, Wander trying to be friends with her was "repeatedly framed as harmful and bad." And if we use that Darknest example, it shows that "Hey, maybe you shouldn't really be friends with EVERYONE." A lesson even Wander himself learns at the end of the episode.
Idk if I'm making myself clear, but what I'm trying to say that in general SYMPATHIZING with villains like them is just stupid. Like obviously you can have favorite villains, but shipping them with characters they've hurt a LOT isn't right. deathglare is toxic yaoi, but do you see hater going out of his way to hurt peepers for the fun of it? no. (I don't know if I'm making myself sound clear man I hope I'm saying this right)
basically: shipping wander x dominator is bad because it goes against the lesson learned during the end of the galaxy.
once again, I yapped what I needed to yap. I think. I can't tell if I promoted star twinkle too much here
#wander over yonder#wander#lord dominator#woy wander#save woy#woy#woy dominator#darknest#darknest precure#darknest star twinkle precure#ophiuchus star princess#ophiuchus star princess precure#ophiuchus star princess star twinkle precure

wip snip 4.2
thank you for the tag, @elskanellis! your snip is so intriguing 👀
in return, have some more of time travel fic: extremely gooey and tender and basically what the next 10k or so words are going to be (the fic is currently 20k lmao) before things get Bad again. still heartbreaking in its tenderness, though, because baby harry is heartbreaking (a contextual reminder that he is 7 in this snip!!! adult harry is henceforth "potter" from draco's pov).
“This is for me?” Harry asks, doing another turn, clutching at the still unnamed dragon in his hands. “All of this, the bed and—I can—”
“Harry,” Draco says softly, coming closer and dropping to crouch again, ignoring his protesting thighs starting to truly feel all the activity of the day. “Yes, all of this. You can sleep in the bed, you can name your toy—it’s all yours. This is what looking after you means; everything that I can offer is yours now. I promise.”
“Do I have to—” Harry starts, and Draco simply doesn’t want to hear where that’s going.
“No. You don’t have to do a single thing. It’s just yours. Because—because you’re a guest, and a kid, and kids deserve these sorts of things no matter what.”
“Oh,” Harry says, sounding genuinely startled in a way that makes Draco want to punch—someone. Perhaps Vernon or Petunia Dursley, or perhaps Albus Dumbledore. He did not ever imagine he would one day find new and more infuriating reasons to resent Dumbledore this long after his death, but he supposes life is surprising that way.
Harry breaks up his surprised, revelatory stance with another yawn, and this time Draco makes sure his tone brooks no argument when he directs him to the bathroom with the pajamas. To keep busy and shove down the punching urge, he resizes another set of clothes from the wardrobe for the morning, startling himself when he leans too far in and his hand disappears through the back wall.
“Oh, right, I should warn you,” Draco says when Harry returns, changed and padding gingerly towards the bed. “The wardrobe is a portal to the treehouse, so be careful if you go too far into it.”
“You have a treehouse?” Harry asks with a gasp, and Draco smiles at him, striding over and pulling the quilt back for Harry to settle in.
“You have a treehouse. I’ll show you tomorrow, if you’d like.”
He waits as Harry clambers onto the bed and settles against the mound of pillows, smoothing the quilt over him and then making sure the dragon is tucked in, too. “Any ideas on a name?” Draco asks softly, tweaking the dragon’s snout. “Do you want to sleep on it?”
“Can I name him after a—a con—a constellation? Like you?” Harry asks, frowning in concentration.
“Yes, of course you can. Which do you fancy?” Draco sits on the bed near Harry’s feet and leans back on his hands, gazing up at the ceiling as it cycles over them. “There’s Cygnus, the swan I was telling you about—he was my grandfather, you know, and right by Draco, so that’s convenient. There’s Pegasus, too, a type of flying horse, and Cepheus, he was a king in Ancient Greece—well, he chained his daughter up to a rock, so maybe not the best role model, but a cool name nonetheless. Just stop me if anything grabs you, really.”
“What’s that one?” Harry asks, squinting up and pointing; Draco makes a mental note to solve the glasses issue as soon as possible. He looks where Harry’s pointing, southwest of the quadrant he’d been explaining, and spots the most recognizable constellation there is.
“Ah, that’s Orion. The hunter. He was a Giant, you know, and he got pretty boastful, so Gaia—super powerful Earth mum, you did not want to get on her bad side—sent a great big scorpion after him. They fought, so you’ll never see Orion and Scorpius—that constellation all the way over there—in the sky at the same time. But Ophiuchus—he was a Healer, that one over there, see how he’s sort of between Orion and Scorpius? He gave Orion some medicine and saved him from Scorpius.”
Harry’s eyes are drooping closed, but he still murmurs, “Really? Is that all true?”
“Well, sort of. They’re stories, myths; all the stars have stories. There are different versions and they change depending on who you talk to, but I have my favorite versions because they’re the ones my mum told me.”
Draco checks in to see that Harry’s eyes are almost completely closed, and keeps talking hoping they’ll close further; how many times had his mother talked him to sleep?
“If you’re in the sky, it means you’re pretty important, right? So that means lots of stories. I’ll tell you all of them, if you’d like. I think you’ll enjoy this room, and you’ll be happy here. I hope so.”
That’s all verging on a ramble, but he thinks it doesn’t matter because Harry is asleep. So Draco gets up gently, patting Harry’s foot over the quilt, shoots the still unnamed dragon a grin, and starts to leave the room.
He stops only when he hears Harry mumble, “Orion. That’s his name,” and curl around the dragon, breathing going smooth and even, arms clutching it tight against his small frame.
Draco smiles at them both. “Goodnight, Harry and Orion.”

The Golden Gate by Talon Abraxas
The zodiac structural principles are both energetic and geometric which are being aligned to the Alchemical Laws of God hosted by the Krystal Star. The Earth’s Magnetosphere and the Solar System’s heliosphere are getting exponentially weaker. These alterations to the magnetic field allow an increasing saturation of cosmic rays into our inner solar system. The progression through the Magnum Opus or the 13 constellation activations in this 12 month cycle, each bring in an Alchemical Law. We are moving through specific Laws of Alchemy located in the Ophiuchus constellation activation. This quality of Silver-Gold frequency is being transmitted to our Sun and planetary body for the first time. Through the Silver Ray dissolving into the Golden Gate, the returning of the Spirit to the center of Unity or the process of inner Unification is activated as a Law.
This alignment begins a new exposure and is transmitting a new substance, which has qualities of both Elemental Water and Elemental Aether. This is carried in a mixture within these plasmic Silver-Gold liquid light frequencies, which make it Divine Fire Water. Fire Water is a new spiritual element being created through this alchemical process transmitted to the planetary body and humanity. The river of living waters from the Mothers Creatrix, Rainbow Krystal Waters, flow out from the throne of God and unify into the dimensional door of The Golden Gate. The highest emanation of this mysterious elixir is both silver and gold, the Chalice of God which opens the portal of The Golden Gate.
The ancients called this circuit path made around the galactic equator, the Gate of the Gods or The Golden Gate. The Orion constellation sits in the opposite direction, which would be considered the anti-galactic center. The ancients called this circuit path the Gate of Man or The Silver Gate. Ophiuchus and Orion are mirror images of opposing polarity. Together, they represent the ascending path through the Gate of Man meeting at the Gate of the Gods. The many Ascension Stages we endure to reach our spiritual Magnum Opus, are the stages of humanity moving through these sequences of consciousness gateways.
We all incarnate as earthly beings that evolve through the Precession of the Equinoxes. This takes us through the consciousness realms moving through the ecliptic path of the Gate of Man to eventually complete the evolution cycle, which intersects at the Galactic Center. Once we unify the consciousness experiences through the Gate of Man intersecting with the Galactic Equator at Ophiuchus’ feet, we are potentially given access to The Golden Gate. This allows us to proceed on the Ascension path to become resurrected eternal spiritual beings unified with the Cosmic Holy Spirit. From our solar system the Galactic Center lies visually along a line that passes through The Golden Gate. This is the Gate to Eternal Life which pours out the Universal Elixir that opens at the end of Precession Cycles.
The Golden Gate is located on the circuit path, where the two great celestial spheres intersect together that create four quadrants. The quadrant is one of four circular sectors in the equal division of the planetary sphere. These are marked by the Four Royal Stars. The first great circuit is the path of the Sun through the zodiac made in its annual cycle. The other is the circle path made from the center of our Milky Way galaxy called the galactic equator.
The intersection point made between the two circuits located between Taurus and Gemini constellations is known as The Silver Gate. The intersection point of the two circuits between Scorpio and Sagittarius constellations, right under Ophiuchus right foot, is known as The Golden Gate.
Galactic Plane The circle path made from the center of our Milky Way galaxy is called the galactic equator or Galactic Plane.
The galactic plane is the plane in which the majority of a disk-shaped galaxy's mass lies. The directions perpendicular to the galactic plane point to the galactic poles. Most often, in actual usage, the terms "galactic plane" and "galactic poles" are used to refer specifically to the plane and poles of the Milky Way, which is the galaxy in which the Earth is located.

Another putto for my Astrological Putti series, this one is for the constellation Ophiuchus. The colors didn’t turn out exactly like I wanted but even so I hope you all like the pin.
Between the fair and my day job I’ve been a bit too busy to keep up with the shop and my sanity LOL so I’ll be keeping it closed until December instead of reopening it this month. You can follow my shop on Etsy to be notified when it’s reopening, I’m aiming for December 1 and will run a sale to make up for missing Black Friday weekend.
Have a great rest of your weekend, and another big thanks to everyone who visited me at the fair ❤️

The Moon of Nokstella - The Language of Elements
A while back I counted the gemstones and found that the sides of the moon of Nokstella are not equal. I did this because I had a thought that it might be a kind of dot diagram for an atom surrounded by electrons. It's not the only item where I speculate this, there are many shields where similarly I am interested in counting the rivets. So the assumption here is that there is a story around the synthesis of element 38 from elements 34 and 4.
Element 34 is Selenium, which was named for a Roman goddess of the moon. It is a dark silvery metal. This immediately seems to confirm my suspicion considering the dark moon theme of the talisman.
Element 4 is Beryllium, which is a component of the Beryl gemstone. These are all Beryls:
If it is assumed that the 34 surrounding gemstones are also beryls for consistency then they have a good colour match with aquamarine, while the 4 quadrant Beryls resemble maxixe. The colour of aquamarine is generally stable (it is made by trace amounts of iron), though it can be intensified with heat treatment. The colour of maxixe is artificial due to radiation and will fade over time. Clear goshenite is the mother of all beryl's because it can treated to re-colour it to the others.
Aquamarine and Bloodstone are the two birthstones for March. The corresponding zodiac signs would be Pisces and Aries assuming Western astrology (sun signs) or Aquarius and Pisces by Vedic astrology (moon signs).
Element 38 is Strontium. It is a soft metal that is silvery but rapidly tarnishes to a dull yellow when exposed to air. It burns red in a colour similar to Elden Ring's bloodflame:
It was named after the Scottish village of Strontian (Sròn an t-Sìthein), which means "nose of the fairy hill". The overall color of the talisman recalls that there is a nebulous blue fairy and/or dancer in the lore. And "Siofra" means "changeling" in reference to the fairy creature.
Combine with the above knowledge of Aquarius, the fixed air sign that sweeps away the past to make room for something new, and this implies that a fairy changeling was created by the power of the metallic moon and stone. And that was the beginning of the ancient wolf-and-sheep themed blood dynasty.
Fragments and updates from my earlier speculation about the creation myth(s) of the Lands Between. Presented in format of trumpet sounds to herald what is to come in the following astrological sign:
Scorpio: An existing world ruled by what would eventually come to be known as the God of Rot. 1st trumpet - hail and fire mingled with blood thrown to earth. Scorched 1/3 of the Earth.
Ophiuchus: 1st Day: "Let there be light". Memory of grace. Light of the rising sun reflecting on the water 2nd trumpet - great mountain burning with fire, 1/3 of the land turned red.
Sagittarius: 2nd Day: Creation of the Firmament (i.e. the heavens and the sky) 3rd trumpet - star called wormwood poisons 1/3 of fresh water sources (wormwood is also called "absinthe sage"). This star is quite likely the Elden Beast, but could be an Astel.
Capricorn: 3rd Day: Creation of dry ground and plants. Likely creation of an Erdtree, or a certain species of tree in general. 4th trumpet - 1/3rd of the light from the sun, moon and stars goes dark.
Aquarius: 4th Day: Creation of sun, moon, and stars - creation of a black moon? Or representing a moon cycle - the emergence of an illuminated full moon from the previous new (dark) moon? 5th trumpet - the first woe. A star falls from heaven, with Scorpion-like tail. Creatures are eradicated unless they have a certain sign on their foreheads. The Scorpion-like tail again may reference Astel, more likely than the Elden Beast.
Pisces: 5th Day: Creation of birds and sea creatures - Creation of sea life could be re-contextualized as eradication of all sea-life that does not fit within a strict definition (considering how rare it is to see true sea creatures in the game and especially the lack of fish). Creation of birds likely corresponds to creation of the Twinbird, considering that Pisces is associated with two fish moving in different directions, or with the swallow bird in the Babylonian zodiac. 6th trumpet - the second woe - 4 angels released from binds in River Euphrates.
Aries: 6th Day: Creation of land animals and humans - created with a Cardinal fire sign. Origin of bloodflame, probably, for the warm blood that is poetically considered the animating source of life for humans and mammals. 7th trumpet - the third woe - kingdom of the world becomes kingdom of the Lord. Presumably Placidusax, the first Elden Lord.
Moon of Nokstella
This legendary talisman is a treasure of Nokstella, the Eternal City. Increases memory slots. This talisman represents the lost black moon. The moon of Nokstella was the guide of countless stars.
At my current guess, I would place the mythical black moon of Nokstella as dating back to the ancient era of Aquarius. For context of what that means relative to other points on the timeline, I expect that the era of Scorpio corresponds to the desolation of Rauh and origin of the ancient God of Rot (scorpions and all). The Abyssal Serpent (Ophiuchus) arrives being "hail and fire mixed with blood" that "scorched 1/3 of the earth". And is followed by the Primordial Crucible - a giant fiery volcano - in the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius as heralded by the 2nd trumpet and demonstrated by the presence of Crucible Knight Denovia with the centaur Aspect of the Crucible. The wing of Astel is a curved sword such as those used by the Warrior character class who resembles the folkloric dancer in blue, and Astel itself has the appearance of a monstrous blue fairy - thus the Ancient God of Rot was also sealed at this time of change represented by Pisces.
And this weaving of chemistry, astrology, birthstones, Abrahamic creation myth, Christian book of Revelations and fairytale folklore is one example of how the timeline is complex, but it's possible to assemble a shape for even the more nebulous earlier points by identifying and dissecting the mythology inspirations. There are certainly other layers relating to the creation myths of other cultures, but this is as far as I intend to speculate based on the Moon of Nokstella alone.
#elden ring#elden ring lore#analysis of art design#I researched gemstones intensely several months back#It's hard to tell from this angle if there is an upwards facing gemstone between the 2 birds.#If there was that would be element 39 which is Yttrium#3 pronged like the 3 fingers and also a satisfying number that is the sum of 3^1 + 3^2 + 3^3#39 also apparently pronounced “Miku” which makes it slang for vocaloid Hatsune Miku in Japan

Nobody Talks About Ophiuchus
So back in January 2011, a news article from the Minnesota Planetarium Society made headlines. The article, titled "Your Astrological Sign Just Changed. Thanks, NASA," claimed that due to changes in the Earth's alignment, there should be a shift in the zodiac, leading to the inclusion of a new zodiac sign—Ophiuchus. Controversy alert, am I right?
Well, this stirred A LOT of astrological drama up in the communities back then, and it recently piqued my interest to want to know why it existed in the first place and furthermore… why nobody talks about it. Not that I'm interested in changing my zodiac and potentially MY WHOLE BIRTHCHART! I'm just a curious lil chipper, so… what's Ophiuchus—the "thirteenth zodiac's" deal anyway?
Ophiuchus, the underdog of the zodiac, is positioned along the celestial equator. The cosmic serpent bearer has been in the cosmic chorus since ancient times. But although it shares the stage with its twelve zodiac companions, it doesn't quite share the spotlight like the rest. Suddenly, it began grabbing headlines and chaos ensued. Myths that said astrology was starting to get outdated floated everywhere, and unappetizing astrological misconceptions were served for breakfast AND dinner with the side of ignorance and muggle mentality.
But the truth behind all of the Ophiuchus attention was found in the origins of the traditional twelve-sign zodiac system itself. After hopping onto the astro-time machine, I found out that the Babylonian astronomers were the first WESTERN celestial scribes, dividing the sky into twelve equal acts, each starring a constellation along the Sun's yearly journey—the apparent path of the Sun across the sky, or simply known as the Ecliptic. The Greeks (particularly the Hellenistic Greeks) later picked up the script and named the constellations—Aries, Taurus, and Gemini, giving birth to our twelve main characters. This celestial drama then evolved over centuries; each zodiac sign became associated with certain symbolic meanings, qualities, and characteristics. These associations were often based on observations of the natural world, seasonal changes, and the perceived influence of celestial bodies on Earth, becoming the astrological playbook we now know.
The thing is, though, that the Babylonians knew of Ophiuchus back then; they just chose not to include it in the big 12 because it disrupted something they held at great value—symmetry. They wanted each zodiac to take up 30 degrees in the sky—that's the answer to why Ophiuchus is not included in traditional astrology. Yup, nothing fancy. The Babylonians just had a pet peeve, I guess, lmao.
But for those curious, here's some information on Ophiuchus:
Lies between Scorpio and Sagittarius
Represented by a man bearing a snake
People born under this sign of Ophiuchus fall under the archetype of – the healer, the knowledge seeker, the one with a magnetic charm. While not your typical zodiac star, folks associated with Ophiuchus might bring a dose of wisdom and a knack for balance to the celestial party. Picture them as the cosmic wanderers, curious about life's mysteries and blessed with a natural knack for attracting good vibes. BASICALLY Ophiuchus is the child of Scorpio and Saggitarius *giggles in satisfaction* knowing that makes me so happy though :}

There's a season finale available! You have to grab a final card and then go to the Imbaru engine. Guide for the card and the Imbaru engine. There will be a final seasonal reveal for next season and then a cutscene with your Guardian (so prepare your fashion!). After that, go to the HELM for the final radio message:
Ikora: "Ophiuchus, I need you to pull some logs from the Cryptarchy archives. It's been a while since we deatl with an Ahamkara. Bring up any thesis papers on how the Ahamkara grant wishes. Include all hypotheses on why they seemingly misinterpret people's intentions. Our best minds have been working on this for centuries, so there should be plenty. Next, pull all the Hidden reports on the Wall of Wishes. I know it makes bargaining with wish-dragons less likely to backfire, but we'll need to know exactly how the Techeuns designed it. And speaking of the Dreaming City, set aside all the after-action reports from the Keep of Voices. And Highlight anything to do with the lost final wish. If the path into the portal really depends on a wish-dragon, knowledge will be our most potent weapon. They're powerful in ways that we don't understand, and I'm sure they have some... hard feelings after the Great Hunt. We'll need to tread carefully. Ahamkara don't give second chances, so if humanity's survival rests on a wish, it'll have to be impeccable.
As we've been speculating this whole time, we're going to be dealing with an ahamkara next season! Not the egg from Mara's room from Lost, btw; this is a completely new egg and it's not corrupted! And as suspected as well, we'll need the Wall of Wishes and there was a pattern for the final wish in Savathun's wings:
It's a really cool wrap-up that gave us a lot to speculate during the season and didn't do any weird plot twists for the sake of plot twists. It hinted at ahamkara and it gave us ahamkara! Wild stuff going into the next season obviously. We still don't know what it will entail exactly. Dreaming City has to be involved somehow, but since breaking the curse would mess up gameplay, I don't think we'll be doing that. But still! Can't wait.
Also! Official image for the next season from D2 twitter :) :
