N'aw. I'm not 19, not a girl most of the time, I've dropped out of university more times than I'll ever admit, I'm a published author, semi-established sub-editor and primarily do independent editing for publication, seventh printed book this year y'all! I love writing for me, but love polishing others just as much.

I love literature and history and biology, but hobbyist strictly. I love them as part of the depth of the universe. There's just so much to know and appreciate in this world.

That said I do have two girlfriends. My partner and I have been with them for five years now. I'm sapphic as hell, but it's a facet of myself.

I do vibe with aromanticism, I've had aromantic experiences, I've been in relationships of varying types of aromantics and it's... intimate and meaningful in a way entirely discrete from romance, but I generally self-describe as alloromantic.

They say that the broadcast is one of Gravity Falls's greatest mysteries. That it's been around since the 80s, yet the hosts never seem to change or age. Their voices forever stuck in their radio waves.

It's this kind of mystery that called to Dipper Pines like a sailor to the sea.

He'd heard stories about it, ever since he and Mabel were old enough to hear them from their grandpa Shermie. The older man never really talked about Gravity Falls, Oregon. And whenever he did, he'd always get this far away look in his eyes. As if he was trying not to remember too much. Like the thought of Gravity Falls was too much for him to bare. And so Dipper accepted the stories he'd hear, those about the strange broadcasting system being his favorite. And he would have been content with them.

If he and Mabel didn't discover that photo album.

It'd been an accident. Finding that photo that was old with age. But once it was discovered, those old broadcasting stories became a lot more unsettling. As he and Mabel stared at the photograph, they saw the face of a younger grandpa, Shermie. Next to him were three other men, one who was tall and lanky with a nervous smile to him. And beside him were two men, one with a larger build and mullet, while the other had glasses and a trench coat. Both with identical faces. Standing in front of what looked like an old shack with a small broadcasting tower behind it.

Twins the younger Pines children realized.

And underneath the photo, in their grandpa's handwriting was written.

'1981 Gravity Falls, Oregon. My younger brothers Stanford and Stanley Pines with their friend Fiddleford Mcgucket.'

"Younger brothers?"

Mabel's voice was the one to break through their stunned stupor. Dipper could only look at his sister, awed by the revelation of apparently having two uncles they'd never heard about. As to why, neither knew. But one thing they knew was they had a mystery to solve. As they placed the album back, they couldn't help but wonder.

What happened to Stanford, Stanley, and Fiddleford?

I'm guilty of not reaching them in time, and this is my price to pay.

Will be the month that Kairi's suppressed oni ancestry starts physically manifesting 👀 (more info/mini lore dump below)

I've been trying to organically work her manifestation of her horns and fire magic, and spooky month may be just the time to do it! My logic is that October is the prime month for folks to be using magic, Ghost sightings are on the rise, and demon summonings are more frequent than ever. All that extra magic is gonna be "in the air' so to speak.

Oni--and subsequently, all other Yokai--in the lore that Kaly (@/save-slot-a), Bishop (@/splinter-sister) and I have been revamping are a magic based species; being around it is what helps their bodies develop and learn to store + convert that energy into mana that they can use for their magic. Oni in particular (at least for this blog's purposes) store that mana in their horns. Obviously with Kairi being only 25% oni, her horns won't grow as large as others and she won't be able to store as much mana. Plus, she lives in the Human Kingdom - mutations are more common than magic based species, so she hasn't been exposed to it like she would have been if she grew up in the Yokai Kingdom!

Kairi has ALSO been finally moving out of a state of constant survival mode from her teen/young adult years, and that's also been helping her "oni development" carry on as it was supposed to--similar to how physical/emotional/mental development can be stunted when a child is in a high stress environment, whether that be due to outside forces like w*r or poverty, or internal influences like ab*se or trauma. Turning herself into a human science experiment to cure her own heart disease also didn't help the matter, what with the medicine she was taking and the radiation(?) she was exposing herself to. BUT NOW, she's been going to therapy, AND getting proper nutrition, A N D given her body a chance to recover from all the crud it's gone through! Now, learning to process and store mana doesn't have to be halted to do the bare minimum of keeping her alive!

TLDR; Kairi has found a new HEALTHY normal, and the uptick in magic from spooky month shenanigans is gonna jump start her belated oni development! :D

me, to me: i know that the kiss between elrond and galadriel was a plot device, a deception to cover up the passing of his broach/lock pick so that she can later use it to escape from adar's prison. i also know that elves are exceptionally emotional beings, so in this desperate moment where elrond thinks he might never see her again - of course he wants to kiss his friend, to let her know the strength of his feeling. obviously. obviously. wow i love having to perform these mental olympics as well as having to unlock my media literacy ! hahaha also me (outloud, looking straight down the camera) : ...were the writers smoking crack ??

More Mystery Podcast Trio Au present time (2012)-

Dipper Pines: A young boy who's heard of the Mystery Podcast Trio broadcasting. His grandfather Shermie Pines regales tales and stories about this infamous broadcast that occurs in Gravity Falls. Dipper adores these stories and legends more than anyone. And in fact wants to one day explore more about them. However, there seems to be more than his grandfather let's on.

Mabel Pines: A young girl who's also heard the tales of the mysterious broadcast. However, unlike her twin, who's all about the mystery behind the Mystery Podcast Trio, she's not quite as invested. But make no mistake that she too isn't curious about this weird radio station. Especially when her and Dipper find a mysterious photograph in their grandfather's attic.....

Sherman (Shermie) Pines: An old man who's the grandfather of Dipper and Mabel. Shermie is a mischievous, friendly man full of spooky tales and stories of the small hick town known as Gravity Falls. But there's more to this friendly, dotting grandpa than meets the eye. Whether he's willing to share or not, will only be revealed in time.

(ooc: anon...anon you don't know how wild this lore is. lemme give you a brief summary because I need to talk about it hehehe

For the general story of the campaign: The year is 1928, in a world where humanity focused more on deep sea exploration than space travel. A few years ago, a Russian scientist goes to travel in the deep sea, and never came back since. But a message was caught in the radios around the city. "Whatever you do, don't go down here. I have seen everything, I have seen god- and god hates us" An organization sends 5 people letters in hopes to search for the missing scientist that found god.

For characters we have: a medicinal researcher from Greece (Lucien), and a former coal miner turned investigator (Cecily), they're family, father and adoptive daughter.

A technological researcher (Estella), who's father died in an 'accident', and was taken in by his research partner named Mr. Lorenz.

a Russian spy ("Anastasia"), who knows what truly happened between the first three, and a theology student (Valerie). )
