It's very comfy and silly and has been a Halloween costume for a few years #Well smol finally got one to match me <3 Espeon is her all-time favourite Pokemon as well not just of the Eevees but generally #So now we match And she gets a thing of her fave! actually stunned by how gay The Beatles has been all this time and I just never knew

#like its always just been there in my life but i just never paid attention #my university roomie was obsessed w them and had several beatles posters that i looked at every day #so stuff like the pictures of them from the let it be album are like engrained into my brain #and yet i never knew the lore??#nor did i know until recently that they were actually all high school buds nor did i know they wrote their own music #nor that they genuinely basically invented modern bands n using the studio the way they did etc. so all that was very impressive and cool #but THEN on top of that omg the angsty gayness of john and paul #like all i knew previously basically was that john was a thing w yoko ono and paul had a young wife recently #i had at one point heard of people shipping j&p together and was just kinda like wow i guess people will ship anything #I DIDNT KNOW #that they were actually like that cute and that insane together and that their song writing together was like an actual marriage #anywayz the old pictures and videos of them are just like jesus look how they look at each other i dont think it was just being bros #i am sort of in the camp of they prob didn't act on it for real but there was def some insane tension/chemistry going on #and then ofc once youre aware of this their songs take on so many possible meanings outside of just singing about their gfs and wives....#anyways i just have to vent about this somewhere bc im actually shocked at how this has just passed me by all these years #and it definitely was not on my bingo card for 2024 to fixate on the beatles but here we are lol #more proof to me that my ultimate fave trope or wtv is 'besties to enemies when really they actually probably wanted to be lovers'#gets me every time!!!!#whats been fun about this rabbit hole is how just every single one of my expectations has been reversed as well #i went in assuming i would like them best in this order:#(1) george (2) ringo (3) paul and (4) john #i was sure i would hate john i thought he sounded so pretentious and like such a douche #but no actually he is my fave one and it's literally in reverse order for me i find george my least fave #(i like his music and feel bad for how he got ignored in the band but i like him the least)#and then i literally am john paul ringo george in order of faves now #i just love when i get surprised like that idk it keeps me on my toes and keeps things exciting and fresh #and yes john is indeed pretentious and a douche but i didn't know he was also funny and vulnerable and that i like his voice and songs #the most in the bunch almost every time as well #the beatles #p

Not sure if you were already asked this but how did you get into Hollyoaks? Specifically Hayray? Was it through TikTok, YouTube etc? What has been your favourite moment of theirs so far?

I got into hollyoaks/hayray bc of tumblr actually! I saw a gifset of them bc one of the people i followed posted them - probably @/tylerposey or @/celebrategaylove . I actually remember vaguely older posts about them, like i remember seeing the pics of them in the folly for the pride episodes and I thought that they were on some cbbc show or something, and I remember seeing sooo many gifs of them tripping each other over when they were supposed to be teaching the year sevens football. Those ones caught my attention.

I think I must have seen a gif of their first kiss bc it was that week that I went to youtube and watched one of the playlists of all their scenes over two days and I have been insufferable about them ever since.

My favourite moments would have to be their first kiss and their first time. Both were so devastatingly sweet. And the folly pt.2 where they confessed their love.

I also love Lucas talking about Dillon in the church scene, and to John Paul, and the confrontation during pride. And when Lucas comes out to his dad. I am a sucker for angst and love confessions, clearly.

wiping her own tears away in spite before adele could help her more, the woman couldn’t keep herself from pouting, lip jutting out childishly amidst their near blissful reunion. “i don’t intend to, you know how much i loathe crying, but when i hear of you with others knowing you’re simply just out of my grasp … it’s like a thousand stabs to my heart, finished off with a cruel twist of a dagger, leaving behind a feeling that never fades. i simply just want you, del, and the fact that others can blatantly have you in front of me is torturous.” her dramatics were on par with winifred’s typical behaviour, though she knew saying other’s could have adele was out of line. the girl chose to cautiously overlook the need for a correction. instead, she clung to adele’s hand like it was her only lifeline. “not any adventures in particular, just tending to my garden. people often don’t believe that there’s much to take care of during the colder seasons, but she’s still alive and thriving, even if hidden or less vibrant. and they also tend not to pay too much attention to those who seem occupied,” she smirked ever so slightly, “so i overhear many things people wish not to be shared. like the fact that olivia is being courted by harold, but has been seeing anthony behind his back for the past few months. or that mr. irving is on his death bed and has left everything to the family dog.” it helped winifred to gossip, kept her distracted from the heartache at hand. “i’ve also discovered there’s this lecture going on at the college and i’m dying to get in somehow. my brother has been absolutely no help whatsoever on that front, though. despite the fact that i can fit in his clothes and would be able to blend in well at the back.”

“oh, fred,” adele frowned, reaching over to caress the raven haired girl’s cheek, “i want you too. every day that i’m not with you is the worst kind of torture imaginable. if i could have things my way, we’d never be apart. we’d always be together and we’d never have to feel things like longing and sorrow and agony ever again.” adele feared that not only would her parents try and marry her off, but that winifred would grow tired of waiting on her and found someone else. adele didn’t fear a lot but that was one of her biggest fears. she even had a nightmare about it, something she kept entirely to herself. as winifred held onto her hand, adele began to run her fingers through her lover’s hair. a means to comfort the other but also herself. “i have to go and see her for myself. i always did love your garden.” she could spend an entire day there if allowed, just her and winifred. adele can hardly help the laugh that bubbles past her lips when winifred fills her in on the gossip she had missed out on. “i knew there was something going on between olivia and anthony! i saw them giving each a look . . . kind of the same look we give each other.” a romantic at heart, adele was an avid supporter of even the forbidden ones. she, out of all people, knew what it was like to fall for someone you shouldn’t have. “that’s going to be one lucky dog then. better the dog than his arrogant children, they don’t deserve a dime,” adele replied, glancing back down at winifred after. she knew her fred like the back of he rhand, knowing that she was still troubled despite her mischeivous tone. adele too was troubled, but it was much better to live in the moment than wallow in the misery. her moments with winifred grew fewer and fewer and adele didn’t want a single one to go to waste. “a lecture, you say?” adele’s eyes sparkle as a plan forms in her mind to embark on their newest adventure, “why don’t we go together? i can find disguises for us so we can get in the lecture. we can be sophisticated young men for a day, wouldn’t that be exciting?” adele offered, trying her best to sound like a man but quickly failed. she’d have to work on that if they were to get in the lecture.

Just how big was Teng Xiao if Cirrus calls Jing Yuan a "lightweight"???

#I talk too much #I should probably delete this later #I guess they don't mean it physically and more in countenance given the insults they direct to Jing Yuan #but that was my first thought lmao #I keep forgetting people here don't age so I always picture the masters old or at least like Gongshu aesthetically #so this line made me reconsider how Teng Xiao may have looked like #I always think of him‚ Fu Xuan's master and Huaiyan‚ for example‚ as old(ish) people #until the reminder of how they don't age hits me on the temple with a pan lol #The one time I saw Huaiyan art it took me a moment to place who that pretty man was because it wasn't anything like I pictured him #And then the idea that he could actually look like that even nowadays dawned on me like a punch. Same thing happened with Fu Xuan's master #Yet even after the punches I keep forgetting after two days and go on to think of them as rather old looking #only to be hit with the realisation again at some other time. i think the thing that annoys me so much about matty discourse is that its starting to feel like people are pinning the entire concept of race relations on him. as if matty healy watching gross fetish porn is the only thing keeping my black ass from being seen as equal.

like sooooooo much fucking coverage on one (1) man and i kinda get it bc what the fuck else are entertainment companies going to talk about but its also like......he is not even in the top three-digit number list of reasons why black people are down bad in this country. like yes thank you for riding against porn or whatever BUT lets also not forget to redirect our attention and find ways to help all oppressed individuals!!! like its starting to feel like people are only doing this shit so they can a) seem like The Perfect Activist online while doing jack shit irl and b) protect their fave from any criticism by pushing and hoping and praying for a breakup so that they can have a Perfect Activist celeb to stan again and not have to worry about their own controversial, problematic, and potentially offensive beliefs.

min yoongi (suga, agustd) hyung-line: short, rapper, has the producer/songwriter/rapping archetype going for him, mostly in black off-duty, pretty cat man, introvert, deep speaking voice, lil bit of a godfather vibe but tiny cute godfather?, stealth fond and affectionate (yes my bias shhh)

jung hoseok (hobi, j-hope) hyung-line: medium height tier, dancer & rapper, distinctive high cheekbones and sunshine smile, laughs a lot but has that dance practice stern face when he's not joking, often indulgent wine aunt vibes, actual pre-debut street cred like rm and suga *just recently went for enlistment

park jimin (jimin) maknae line: technically shortest, singer: clear high tenor, trained dancer like *whoa*, flirt, smooth and stylish, pretty as a personality trait, maknae gremlin but with hyung maturity (caretaker), abs, falls off chairs (and only chairs? otherwise immune to gravity)

- these are some busy, busy elite-caliber performers at the very top of the game and i definitely am in awe. like the guys who technically aren't "dancers" in the group are still leagues above many regular official 'lead dancers' in skill - as a whole they are just functioning on another level and it is impressive. i understand army a lot more now

I forgot that when we didn't have the energy to write properly we used to do what we called "bullet point fics" which were basically just whatever story beats and snippets of dialogue we could think of written in a bullet point almost-greentext-like format and then call it a day

I was gonna make this post way way earlier but I forgot lol but Uhm

I have played through the splatoon 2 story fully and am replaying it (for a future post bc a lot of the dialogue is rlly funny) and honestly while I absolutely loved it it makes me even sadder that splat 2’s story mode was kinda tossed aside (for valid reasons ofc) because it’s so Cool.

Excluding the gameplay, I think they did marie so well, because she sells the desperation of someone who’s got nobody she knows by her side. While she of course keeps the sassy attitude of sneak dissing her best friends (agent 3) and also telekinetically telling you to fuck off if you talk to her too much it’s very clear she genuinely cares so much about agent 4 and is so grateful they’re doing what they do.

these are only two screenshots of 8(?) of Marie randomly being really sentimental to 4 because this stranger chose to help her in her time of need rather than just ignore this GROWN WOMAN hanging out on a sewer drain

It’s like heavily emphasized multiple times that Marie could not be more grateful for 4’s help in retrieving not just the zapfish but also her cousin.

But then revealing that 4 knew about Callie the WHOLE TIME (I have a lot to say about this part but it’s mostly hc so) which is so KIND OF THEM???? this random woman recruits them into a secret military agency and hides the fact she rlly misses her cousin but they help anyway bc they WANT TO. (They didn’t even know either of them were famous btw) Marie shows a lot of gratitude toward 4 ESPECIALLY after the big reveal.

(You could make arguments for 3 being similar bc an old kook made them do it but this isn’t about them..)

And it’s not just being grateful for the one time, she genuinely enjoys 4’s company and wants to be better friends with them and chat after the zapfish and Callie are saved 😭😭😭

It’s so cute too, because 100%ing the game and even just being a little nosy is something that Marie picks up on, and remembers way later in the game. (More abt this later)

Speaking of said soldier! I think the way they characterized 4 via the actual gameplay rather than art/statements/whatever is so cool

4 doesn’t have many illustrations besides the chaos splatfest and that one group photo where they’re being funky in the corner (and the apartment) but I feel like the reason for that is the fact that a lot of Marie’s dialogue as well as how splatoon 2’s hero mode is structured/designed speaks a lot about how they wanted to represent 4.

From a realistic standpoint, of course splatoon 2’s story mode has to be more creative both prompt wise and secret wise. But it feels like the reason its that way is because both 4 and Marie are separate types of people from Craig and 3.

The bosses help a lot with this too, being more gimmicky and weird (subtracting stamp.) Octo shower and samurai being bosses where you have to either react well or change your positioning to effectively beat them. (Octo shower is my fave btw I loved fighting it the first time)

The level design also shines in this aspect because if I’m honest I remember none of the splat 1 levels significantly besides the few octoling ones. Splatoon 2’s levels are very detailed (and also insanely pretty) and have some rlly fun puzzles in a handful of them and even the more fast ones are a blast to play through

And then all the little extras (sardiniums and scrolls alike) are hidden so well and you usually have to go out of your way to find them and even the secrets that aren’t either of those things have substance

Small note, a lot of extras are also made so that it flows well with the levels design (like the first dualie request mission) which is also extremely fucking cool.

the way marie touches on those little discoveries is so smart too because it (as I said before) characterizes 4 as someone who loves to look for things even if it’s on a whim especially since the sunken scrolls in the game are so much harder to find than in splat1.

And the fact that unlike splat 1, you can (technically) 800% the game by playing EVERY SINGLE LEVEL WITH EVER SINGLE WEAPON TYPE. to me it feels like it deepens the fact that 4 likes to be really thorough. marie goes “you have a problem.” When you break like two hidden egg crates in this one level and it’s so great.

I love what they’ve done with 4, whether it was intentional or I’m over-analytical.

Nothing gets past them, looking in every nook and cranny whether or not there’s secrets to be found. They’re too nosy and thorough and they like to be around marie after completing missions, they don’t know who the squid sisters are, hate balloons, may or may not be ok, have impulsive secret finding, partake in many extracurriculars, can be needy at times, go with the flow and they apparently smell better than agent 3.

Sooo unfortunately, I’m back into my Disney Ducks hyper fixation, so I’m sorry for anyone that followed me for S/t/h but I will be posting a lot of ducks here 😔✌️(on tumblr at least, my twt will still be about the funny hedgehog that runs)

Its actually funny because I used to be super into Ducktales reboot back when it was airing, then after some time my interest kind of died down and I moved on to watch other things…However, on twitter I saw a post comparing Scrooge with Mr. Krabs and that was when it hit me that “Oh wait, I need to finish watching that serie!”, so that’s what I did xD And while I do have some of my issues with it (mostly regarding Donald’s treatment on the show), I still enjoy it a lot and I’m glad that I decided to finish watching it uwu

About the drawing, along with watching Dt17 I also started reading some of the old comics by Carl Barks and there are pretty fun to read! So I redrew some of my fave Scrooges from the comic as the Dt17 one. In a way it’s funny how different these two versions of the character can be, as the Scrooge from the comics tends to be a looot more greedier and scummier compared to the one from the show xd But I love them both regardless lol
