This scene's been in my head for so long but in order to get there I need to write all the yet non existent scenes that build up to this moment and so many many others * cries *

So instead of writing it I am drawing it to get it off my chest... however productive that is, I have no idea.

It may not even end up like this in the final story. What do I know. This is gonna be act 3. I'm not even through writing act 1. So much can change.

Why do we never talk about friendship hurt enough?? I’m all for swapping horror stories of exes, but please can we talk about how much it hurts realizing a close friendship is one-sided & you’re putting in most of the work & there is no conceivable way that this friendship can work on the deep level you want it to no matter what the reasons are

I'm a shame to the neurodivergent community because i will be having an anxiety attack or feeling extremely overwhelmed but as soon as you point out that "don't feel bad! The air is cold tonight, it's cloudy and chocolate exists!" i will be out of it so soon. I can't even say stuff like: "no KAREN this won't work with ND PEOPLE" because it works with me. DISGRACED

I like to think that on some level Shanks is just a little upset (Beckman knows the truth; that he is deeply, simmeringly, furious) at the unfairness and hypocrisy that is Mihawk still wanting to fight Zoro.

That he still thinks Zoro’s going to be his greatest challenger- the one to usurp his throne, that even though he’s down an eye, even though they are both “lacking”. Zoro is somehow still worthy of Mihawk’s attention when Shanks has been judged and found wanting.

Shanks lost an arm, and they still can’t talk about it, and Mihawk still won’t fight him, but he’ll fight Zoro. Trained Zoro. And he knows it’s not the same, he doesn’t even want the title, doesn’t want to be Mihawk’s “destiny”. He knows that he’s being childish but Mihawk started it and it’s not fair.

I love the Unmasked AU so much, just Grian hopelessly trying to convince people that Scar and HotGuy are the same people and Scar just watches every video of that. Them both being obsessed with the other in some way <3

THANK YOU !! yes ugh i LOVE making them absolutely feral for each other. grian has some deep, intrinsic need to know scar and to let scar be known by others (a need that he doesn't even know the origin of, but is nearly all-consuming nonetheless) and scar just...well. every version of him needs grian, craves him, that's a given, but...he can't have him. he can't let himself have him (not anymore)
