I like to think that on some level Shanks is just a little upset (Beckman knows the truth; that he is deeply, simmeringly, furious) at the unfairness and hypocrisy that is Mihawk still wanting to fight Zoro.
That he still thinks Zoro’s going to be his greatest challenger- the one to usurp his throne, that even though he’s down an eye, even though they are both “lacking”. Zoro is somehow still worthy of Mihawk’s attention when Shanks has been judged and found wanting.
Shanks lost an arm, and they still can’t talk about it, and Mihawk still won’t fight him, but he’ll fight Zoro. Trained Zoro. And he knows it’s not the same, he doesn’t even want the title, doesn’t want to be Mihawk’s “destiny”. He knows that he’s being childish but Mihawk started it and it’s not fair.

Being Sanji's Girlfriend & Baratie's Head Waitress - Part 4.
Sanji x Waitress!Reader: Part One, Part Two, Part Three.
Working at Baratie wasn't without its challenges, and the fights that sprung up because of them weren't rare either. You and your boyfriend never sweated the small stuff, after all working in a high stress environment made you, well, stressed. But maybe some things can't be resolved that easily.
Tags: Sanji x Reader, Waitress!Reader, constant bickering, mostly fluff with some angst, (heavy) swearing.
A/N: Initially going into this, I was planning to have the fishmen come in and have the Mihawk fight, but it was a bit more important to set up some more character dynamics before I moved onto 5k words of action scenes. So here's a nice bit of LORE(tm) and a bit more about how Y/N thinks. Next part I promise is 100% action, and I can't wait to show ya'll what I've come up with for Y/N's weapon! It's so cool.
Word Count is 3,421. Hope you enjoy!

"So, you're really going to fight him?"
Zoro, not looking up from cleaning his swords, nodded. "It's my dream." He explained, observing the blades for any damage. After he challenged the swordsman, the next few things happened rather quickly. The scramble to get Luffy as if that'll somehow convince him to stand down, the captain instead supporting his first mate's goal, and Nami storming off upset. It all passed by in a blur, and now you were alone with Zoro in their ship.
You nodded and turned to look out of the porthole, observing the calm seas that rocked the boat. "I guess dreams are worth dying for." You sighed and leaned back in your chair. "Sucks you met Mihawk too early."
His jaw tightened, and set down his sword. "If I run now, I'll never become the world's greatest swordsman."
You hummed and watched him through the reflection on the glass. "Honour, huh?" You mused and nibbled on the tip of your thumb. "How ridiculous. You're just like Sanji, uncompromising."
"Don't compare me to that shitbag." He snapped and sheathed his sword, clicking it shut in its scabbard. "Speaking of, why are you with him?"
Confused by his words, you looked over at him. "What do you mean?"
"He cheats on you, doesn't he?" He questioned and turned to face you, leaning against the cabinet. "He seemed pretty friendly with Nami a couple hours ago."
You chuckled. "That's just Sanji. He's obsessed with women. It's more," You thought of the words. "It's like having a dog that you love and care for, and though you go up and pet other dogs, you don't abandon your own dog for some random one on the street."
Zoro's eyebrows raised. "You do realise you just called yourself a bitch, right?"
You rolled your eyes and flipped him off. "Shut up. He's just chivalrous, that's all."
"Well, I'd be watching him if I were you." He walked over, his long strides making it seem effortless to reach you. "Guys like that don't tend to keep only one dog."
You opened your mouth to retort, but shut it and stood chest to chest with him. "Just focus on not dying, alright?" His eyes squinted ever so slightly, and he leaned down close to you, gazing directly into your eyes. "What are you doing?"
He stares for a moment, and then straightens himself back up. "Nothing."
You quirked an eyebrow. "Alright, I'm going home to my boyfriend."
"Wasn't trying to make a move." He retorted and stepped aside, letting you walk past him. "(Y/N)?" You placed a hand on the door frame and turned. "Be careful."
You looked him up and down. "Try not to die."
Mihawk's eyes haunted you like a ghostly presence that you couldn't shake off. It was like you could feel those piercing eyes all over your body, every inch of skin was tainted and you hated it. You always have.
The door to you and Sanji's shared room creaked open, and you popped your head inside. You didn't know what to expect, but Sanji jolting himself upright on the chair that sat in the corner of your room wasn't exactly one of them. The door softly clicked closed behind you, and you slowly walked up to him, his eyes on you the entire time as you sat on his lap. You positioned yourself sideways and leaned your head against his chest, reveling in his warmth when he wrapped his arms around you and placed a kiss against your scalp. Sanji's thumb rubbed circles in your thigh, more of an anxious gesture than anything, as he pressed many more kisses against your skin. You sighed and relaxed into him. "I may have overreacted." You started, ripping the band-aid off. "And I apologise."
He nodded. "Thank you for that. Sorry for not finding you sooner."
You shook your head against his chest. "I was drinking, you would've killed my buzz." You paused. "But I guess it was ruined anyway."
"Oh, I'm sorry-"
He stopped when you held up a hand. "I didn't mean you, Sanji." You opened your mouth, but couldn't find the words. Or rather, you found them, you just didn't want to share them. "A man came asking after our new chore boy."
You felt Sanji tense under you. "Are you okay?"
Mihawk's eyes restraining came to mind. "I'll be fine," You picked at a loose thread. "But Zoro won't."
Your boyfriend's hand stopped and pulled back to look you in the eye. "Zoro?"
"Luffy's friend, the guy with the swords. The idiot challenged him to a duel."
Sanji's head tilted. "Why?"
You let out a small sigh and untangled yourself from him, walking a couple feet to your dresser and pulling out a change of clothes. "Because they're idiots with a death wish." You said as you peeled off your top with a groan. "Fuck. Thank God I don't have work tomorrow."
He watched you for a moment as you shimmied out of your clothes and slipped into some pajamas. "Sweetheart, I'm not really comfortable with you drinking with pirates. I mean, it's a bit dangerous-"
You scoffed, pulling an oversized shirt over your head. "They're not pirates," You said as you tugged the shirt down, barely bothering to notice it was a gag shirt with an octopus on a bowl of rice. "Hell, they barely qualify as sailors." But when Sanji didn't respond, you paused. "Oh, you mean was I drinking with Zoro." You turned around to face him. He was leaning forwards in his chair, leg bouncing. You sighed and walked over to him. "He was just my drinking partner, and he's most likely going to die tomorrow." You run your hand through his blond locks. "It'll be fine. You don't have to worry."
"I'll have to trust you then." He said with a smile, then laughed when your gentle pat turned into a frantic scratch. "Hey! Not the hair!"
A smirk split across your face. "I don't know, Sanji. You might just have to trust me!"
He chuckled and grabbed your hands, pulling you forward onto him and wrapping you in his arms. "You know what I mean."
"I guess I'll just trust you-"
"Yep!"
"And trust that you're doing a good job! And- Sanji!" You squeaked when your boyfriend ambushed you with a barrage of soft kisses pressed across any bit of skin he could reach. "You tasteless toad! You're two tablespoons of terrible!"
"Two tablespoons of terrible." He repeated in a strange voice and you giggled when he tried to tickle you. "Oh no! The tickling toad has come to torment you!"
You push his hands away and trap his face in your hands. "You twat." You smiled and gave him a lingering kiss.
When you parted, he gave a soft smile. "And you even ended it with a 't', brilliant."
You quirked an eyebrow. "You weirdo."
He mirrored you. "And I somehow love you."
"But weirdly, you love me very weirdly."
He nodded. "Birds of a feather."
"If we're birds, you're a flamingo."
"Why?"
"Because if I wasn't dating you, I'd think you were a bit of a flamingo."
He gasped. "Then you'd be a penguin, because you bring me rocks."
You leaned back and gave him a look. "Because I bring you rocks?"
He nodded. "Yeah, you even put them on me. And you help me get my rocks off."
He laughed as you hit him. "Sanji! That's so bad!"
Your hands were caught and you were pulled into his chest, both of you giggling and stealing kisses from each other while occasionally snuggling impossibly closer. Sure, you might be a bad person - but you liked who you were with Sanji. And that's all you really cared about.
Tumblr media
You lied. That night you couldn't sleep with hundreds of thousands of millions of thoughts racing through your mind. You felt like you were a greyhound chasing down a slightly too-fast rabbit, every time you got close, sleep just slipped through your fingers. Your gaze drifted from the ceiling where you were counting the nails in the boards, and over to your boyfriend. His sleeping face made a million butterflies emerge from their cocoons in your stomach, your heart beating against your rib cage like an angry gorilla. But something about this wasn't right, and you couldn't go to sleep without doing something about it.
Careful to not wake your peaceful boyfriend, you slowly lifted his arm from around your waist and placed it on his pillow, heart aching at the sight of him trying to seek your warmth. Even in sleep he wanted to be close to you. Grabbing your pillow, you gently tucked it under his searching hand and he brought it to his chest with a soft groan, the smell of you satiating him.
You rolled out of bed and tip-toed over the squeaky floorboards, wincing every time the floor made a sound. After looking back each time and taking moments between each footstep, you made it through the door and quickly shut it behind you. The early morning's chilly air struck you, but you ignored the goosebumps rising under your skin and continued on. It felt strange walking without your heels clicking against the floorboards, but you weren't looking to make noise, or look fashionable in this instance.
The Overnights were rooms for guests who've either had too much to drink, or who pay extra to stay overnight to hookup, or just to stay, again, overnight. You passed by the many in-use rooms filled with snoring and other unseemly sounds, rolling your eyes at the disgusting slobs behind the doors. A room stood out amongst the others, however, and you knew it held what you were seeking. The aura that emanated from it was unmistakable.
You reached into your hair and pulled out a bobby pin, sticking it in between your teeth to open it and then jammed it into the lock. All the locks were the same on the Baratie, and you only had to jimmy the locks, moving the pins frantically within, to open it without much effort. The door clicked open and you gently pushed it open.
When you stepped inside, you felt it. The blade at your neck. Without a second thought, you pushed it from your jugular and grabbed the silver candlestick on the hallway table, holding it firmly as the blade was struck against it. It sliced through with ease and a sharp burning went through your cheek, knowing that if you hadn't moved your head, it would've went through your eye. "You're slow." Came the hauntingly beautiful, yet unsettling voice from your nightmares.
You hissed and shoved his sword away from your face. "You haven't seen me in seven years, and the first thing that comes from your mouth is criticism? How shocking."
"Six." He corrected, and the room was suddenly bathed in a low yellow hue. Dracule Mihawk was a terrifying man. His golden, ringed eyes glowed in the dim light and when they looked you over, it felt like he was observing your soul and picking it apart with the grace one would picking the petals off of a flower. Those eyes locked onto yours. "It's been six years."
You rolled your eyes and pushed past him. The room was a similar layout to your own, with the only difference being the minimalist design and abhorrent amount of red wine. You knew the latter didn't come from the room. Rather, they came from his personal stash that would deem any other man an alcoholic. But Mihawk was simply old-fashioned, born in the wrong non-vampiric century if you will.
He sheathed his famed black blade Yoru in one smooth motion and danced past you, sitting gracefully in his armchair and crossing one leg over the other. Your eyes drifted over to his hat hung on a hook and reached out to run your fingers against the silky feather. "Don't touch it." The old swordsman warned behind you, picking up his book and flipping over the next page. "I despise disorganisation. It needs to be acceptable for my duel tomorrow. Or rather, in the upcoming moments since you have woken me up at such an ungodly hour."
Despite your reluctance, your arm retracted almost on its own. "You were already awake, asshat." You turned around and crossed your arms. "And it'll be creased anyway, so it doesn't matter if-"
"Not necessarily." His words were as sharp as his gaze. "If we go by that barbaric logic, it doesn't matter if a man is murdered since we all die in one way or another."
You scoffed and returned his look with your own glare. "I'm not too sure, you're more experienced when it comes to murdering men."
Mihawk picked up his expensive crystal wine glass, and took a long, silent sip of his Tarapaca. It was placed back down onto the table with a clink. He leaned back in his chair which squeaked as he did so, and interlocked his fingers. "Why are you here, (Y/N)?"
"I was going to ask you the same question."
His head tilted for a moment, before righting itself. "I'm here for Monkey D. Luffy."
You hadn't realised your shoulders were tensed until they drooped down. "That's it?"
He nodded. "I am only here as an obligation to Garp to collect his grandson."
To your annoyance, your throat tightened. "I thought that was an excuse."
"It wasn't." The man you hated sat in his chair completely unbothered. His eyes lingered on you for a moment, before drifting back to his book. He flipped the page. "'But tell me, at the time of those sweet sighs, by what and in what manner Love conceded that you should know your dubious desires?'"
Pathetically, you felt stinging at the corners of your eyes. "'And she said to me: “There is no greater sorrow then to recall our times of joy in wretchedness.”'" You breathed in through your nose. "Inferno, by Dante Alighieri."
"From?"
You cleared your throat. "Divine Comedy."
"What year?"
You took in a breath and shook your head. "1321?"
He said nothing and turned the page. You stood silently, wanting to run but having no strength to do so. His gaze finally lifted to meet yours. "Is that all?"
A chill ran over your skin, and you were once again reminded of the kind of man he was. There was a lot you wanted to say to Dracule Mihawk. So much hatred and anguish that you had to endure, all the suffering handed to you by the well-manicured hands of the greatest swordsman in the world. You hated him. "Unless you want to say anything?"
His eyes held yours for a moment. "Goodnight."
"Go fuck yourself." You practically grew fangs and spat venom at him. Spinning on your heel, you kicked the wall where his hat hung and stormed out of the room.
A scream bubbled in your throat. Your nails dug into your palms, and your lips were bloodied from ripping them open. He had no- you couldn't- he was such a-
As you turned a corner, you felt something pinch the base of your skull and you whipped around. Pulling your gun and aiming it, you locked eyes with the other swordsman in your life. Zoro, bathed in moonlight, turned his attention from his swords to you. The rag he was cleaning his blade with stopped and he was focused solely on you. "I think I know who you are."
You scoffed and shoved your gun back in its holster. "Well, apparently most people don't, so I'll take anything at this point." He was quiet, and your lips tightened into a smile. "Want a drink?"
Tumblr media
The door opened with a click and Zoro whistled. "Nice trick."
You put the bobby pin back in your hair with a smile. "Thanks." The Baratie after-hours was a sight to behold, but the bar was even better. You smiled at Zoro and guided him around the front of the bar where the shutters were closed.
"Thought you said it's open all night."
You looked behind you as you bent down to the latch holding the fish's mouth closed. "I said you couldn't get anything on tap around three in the morning," You unhooked the chain and pulled it free from the floor. "Didn't say that the bar was open. Come help me." You shuffled to the side to make room for him, and grabbed onto the shudders. He appeared by your side and hooked his fingers under the shudders next to yours, you both nodded to each other and grunted as you lifted the shudders. You expected it to be heavier, but with Zoro it lifted with surprising ease. The moonlight poured in and illuminated the bar, shining through the empty bottles of booze and creating a kaleidoscope of colours.
The green-haired swordsman chuckled and looked around. "I've never been in a bar after hours." He sat down on a nearby couch normally reserved for V.I.Ps. "It feels naughty."
You shrugged, walking over to the bar and reaching over. "Yeah well, if we're caught I'll probably get fired, so don't fuck around." Your fingers wrapped around the neck of a bottle and you hoisted it to eye-level. "You a rum guy?"
He smiled and gave a half-shrug. "I'm a booze guy."
"Good answer." You said and carried over two shot glasses for the both of you. Sitting down, you tugged off the cork with your teeth and poured yourselves shots. You raised your glasses. "To you dying tomorrow."
His eyebrows raised. "To me surviving tomorrow." He corrected and clinked his glass against yours, keeping his eyes on you as you took a shot together. He sighed, flicking his head and nodding. "That's good."
You nodded and sniffed. "It's very good." You filled your glasses again. "Only the best shit for the only guy that knows me." You gulped it down, and didn't wait for him to finish before filling yours back up.
He chuckled. "I'm the one dying tomorrow, and here you are drinking like it's the end of the world."
"Yeah, well," You sniffed and swirled around the liquid in your glass. "My life kind of fucking sucks at the moment. So, I think I deserve to get shit-faced."
Zoro tilted his head and licked his teeth. "I bet you had a miserable childhood."
You laughed and leaned back, tears pricking at yours eyes as you nodded. "Understatement of the century." You said under your breath and looked up at him, forcing a smile. "I grew up on some private land owned by nobles."
He nodded. "You said that."
"Yeah, but what I didn't tell you was I wasn't born there. My Dad, being father of the fucking year, didn't want to care for a baby so he dumped me with some workers. Then, when I truly got attached to my family and finally was accepted as a member of the community, he just came back and picked me up. Like I was some type of broken watch he left to be repaired." You shook your head and reveled in the burn of the rum as it slid down your throat and warmed your stomach. "And ever since then, he's just tormented me. Even when I got away from him, it's like he's always there just watching me - waiting for me to mess up. And you know, all the shit that I did to make him proud of me? Every late night reading libraries' worth of books just in case he quizzed me on it in the morning. Every lesson in combat styles, or how to sense others, whatever the hell that means. Most of the scars I have are from trying myself to him. But never once was I told 'Good job (Y/N)', or that he was proud of me. He never even smiled at me." You finished the shot and placed it down onto the table. "And you know what fucking sucks? After all this time, all the anguish he's put me through? All I want him to look at me and tell me that he loves me."
Zoro looked at his glass and his mouth tightened into a fine line. "I know the feeling." His eyes drifted back to yours. "To shitty parents?" He offered, raising his glass.
You chuckled and shook your head, but poured yourself a glass and raised it. "The shittiest."

A/N: Um, okay this was pretty heavy and it took me a while to write because I wanted to make it actually matter. I think there'll be a few more parts and then we'll be finished with the Baratie saga! Then, I might take a break and do maybe another series/one-shot while I properly plan the next part. We'll also be naming this series! The poll has concluded and within the next couple of days, we'll be figuring out the name! Comment down if you have any suggestions, or want to join the tag list! <3
P.S: When the Baratie saga is done, I'll release it all as one part so that it'll be easier to re-read. It'll be a bit of its own thing, so stay tuned haha.

I have used two sentences per chapter reviews of All Hearts to help recreate the plot:
"I love the concept of Zoro being a Heart pirate and yes, I agree that he really fits in. Like Zoro just going feral, tattoos, wholesome heart pirate shenanigans, Law just loving to fuck with Zoro, etc... Like this is the stable dude I know, not overthinking things, living in the moment without losing sight of what's ahead and generally just... knowing what he's doing and that's exactly how it should be.
Law you gothic brooding moron Zoro basically wrote ‘take me I’m yours’ on his own freaking back. How much spelling it out do you need?
I appreciate that you capture that, though Law and Zoro are One Piece's sexy, stoic swordsman, they are also both contain hidden depths of incredible dorkiness. I loved the image of Law just doing a casual striptease on the deck of his own submarine with his silly little custom printed black boxers and Zoro being like ‘fuck, where do I look?’
Also Law being a self-aware in regards to his attraction to Zoro is just a blessing.
I’m looking forward to more, esp the Strawhats since a) Luffy and his penchant for inviting interesting people to his crew, b) the glimpse of the Zoro-less dynamics since he would have been one of the power houses and Luffy’s backbone, c) Law’s observations and how jealous he’ll be if they get any of Zoro’s attention. It feels so strange not to have Zoro as a Straw-Hat member :( but the first meeting with him and Luffy, Luffy "clinging" (more like squeezing as if he was a monkey 🤪) to Zoro 🥺💞 Not going to lie, I really do want jealous!Law but that's just me. 🤭
HOT DAMN I NEVER WOULD HAVE GUESSED KUINA WAS ALIVE
And the entire Scene where Zoro screams that a Captain should never give up on their life and has a responsibility towards their crew is just *chef's kiss* (I know we've talked about Law going on a suicide mission without telling anyone but now I'm just sitting here like *eyes emoji*) But now you introduced a different backstory which already gives me feelings and needs processing time (I had completely accepted that Zoro had just gotten lost(TM) and accidentally ended up in North Blue)
And then Kuina. That's where really the feelings processing jammed. What's so awesome about this last part is...there is absolutely no one better for this position. "
"All pirates need therapy."

New op fan anon here again, I’m currently rotating zoro in my brain like a rotisserie chicken (mostly because I wanted to wait until I was done to start thinking(tm) about him)
With that being said, one thing I really love about him is his loyalty, and how that’s just. A key zoro trait. Not even just to Luffy, but to a lot of other people. Sure it’s more selective than Luffy, but his whole dream is based off of a promise he made to a dead friend yknow? Like beginning of series he was willing to literally crucify himself for other people. Idk I might be totally misreading this but I think it’s interesting!
omg hi welcome back! and yeah!!! i agree, i think it’s really interesting! his like… deep sense of honor is such an essential part of his character.
one of my favorite things about the straw hats in general is how they each kind of have a “core” character trait their whole thing revolves around. not just like “augh robin smart!” but something a little more abstract. it makes them very fun to pick apart and analyze because there’s always a baseline to fall back on. personal interpretation, maybe, and there’s obviously overlap—but off the top of my head you’ve got freedom (luffy), strength (chopper), compassion (sanji), perseverance/resilience (robin), bravery (usopp), joy (brook), wisdom/duty (jinbei), steadiness (franky), companionship/family (nami). (each character has more than one obvs but im speaking broadly here)
i’d say yeah, loyalty is zoro’s core abstract trait! (or one of them. you know what i mean.) he was willing to go through immense suffering for Rika before the series even officially begins—not necessarily death imo because he was fully convinced he would win helmeppo’s bargain—and he’s continually willing to take on bodily harm for the sake of the crew throughout the series. cutting off his legs, throwing himself in danger, the whole “if faced with an unwinnable situation i would simply win rather than lose” thing.
his dream is particularly interesting because you could make an argument that it’s not entirely because of kuina, but kuina was the catalyst. like, he’s not trying to become the world’s greatest swordsman because she died because he was already aiming for that when they were competing—instead, her death solidifies the dream. the baratie promise works the same way imo—he has the dream, but now the dream has fuel.
there’s also really interesting character nuance in the difference between blind loyalty and the way zoro turns loyalty into a stepping stone for strength. on the flip side, his fierce loyalty also translates into a total lack of self-preservation (which mirror’s luffy’s relentless pursuit of freedom at all costs but HEY this is a zoro post) which is one of my favorite things about his character. there’s a whole essay in me on zoro’s specific kind of stubborn loyalty too tbh, but this post has sat in my drafts long enough lol!
thank u for your thoughts d(*゚ー゚*)

I'm laughing very hard. Idek which scenario I like the most:
- Mihawk thinking that this is just average Shanks behaviour TM with everyone (afterall, no one in the crew seems surprised at all when he calls him darling while everyone is on deck)
- Shanks not picking up on the fact that HE'S the one who has started the rumours: the fact that they're given a private coupl-y booth at the Baratie is just the product of luck, most likely. Or maybe Zeff has given them the booth because he has picked up on Mihawk's intense introvert vibes, that's very nice of him (you know, everything but realizing that it totally looks as if they're on a date)
But may I suggest the scenario of:
Mihawk doesn't give me the vibe that he'd be affected by very low teasing. Shanks or Zoro dragging him to a duel? That's an obvious yes. Mihawk can recognize the seriousness of their dares, can see himself reflected in the fact that both Zoro and Shanks are as unhinged as he is. But some random person walking up to him and bragging while proudly declaring that Mihawk is a weakling and that he'd obviously couldn't retain the best swordsman title? He'd be so utterly unimpressed. That random person doesn't look as if they can properly hold their sword. Pfft. What a waste of his time.
Now imagine this random person using 'babydoll' to his face as an attempt to drag him into a duel, and Shanks going from being amused that Mihawk is being challenged by a very obvious loser to being Pissed, while Mihawk doesn't give even the phantom of a fuck.
Kind of need Shanks thinking that he's playing it cool and being very subtle without realizing that he's called Mihawk five different kinds of lovey dovey names in the past conversations

Love your Evolving Dynamics of the 5 OG Straw Hats post. As far as Zoro being the only one to be actively sought out, I have a headcanon that Luffy knew he was weak to sharp things and someone (Ace? Sabo?) mentioned he was going to need a strong person to handle the opponents who use sharp things (swords) for him which translated into needing a strong swordsman
I mean I don't want to step on your headcanon but that dosen't sound like Luffy Logic (tm) to me. He's not very forward thinking at the best of times and he fights plenty of people with sharp things and wins.
It really just feels like an odd choice from a writer who was still finding his footing.

One Piece World Seeker Side Quest Guide
Early on in One Piece World Seeker, you will run into side quests you can complete for gear and exp. Finding the quests is the easy part, completing them can be tricky. Check out this One Piece World Seeker side quest guide to finish them all.
One Piece World Seeker Side Quest Guide
Amber Harbor Materiel Request
The quest is found in Amber Harbor. For this one you will need 2 Mini Express Shrimps to complete the quest. He said they could be found in the area, near the beach. I had 12 when I accepted the quest, they are common.
Emerald Town Material Request
To the north east of the Jade bridge you will find a building on the road. Talk to the woman there and she will ask for two Small Shells to build a belt. I found mine at the Amber Harbor, down near the docks.
Emery Plaza Material Request
The Emery Plaza is outside of Steel City and there is a guy in a yellow suit who has this quest. He wants you to bring him three Small Flowers. They can be found in the Graveyard, it is here on the map.
Steel City North Materiel Request
Once you get into Steel City you can speak to the girl there for this quest. She will ask for two Jewel Fruits which can be found in the south part of the Steel City. I found mine on the outskirts and in the fruit stands in the south area.
Urban Jungle King
This one is found in Steel City and is really easy. All you have to do is Hold R1 until the mission completes and you will be in front of the Navy base.
Ruby Village Material Request
This is found in Ruby Village and the Potatoes you need can be found there as well. Search the gardens in the village and one of them will have what you need.
TM Town Material Request
For this quest you have to go to Topaz Mine Town and speak to the kid there. He wants some Bronze ore, which can be found in the mine in town. Return to him to complete the quest.
Ghosts Identity
This is listed in the side quests, but it is really a main quest. You have to speak with Jeanne in the Graveyard, use your Observation Haki to help you find her. For me, she was near the bridge to the Graveyard. She wants you to go check out the reports of a ghost in the area. They are across the pond so you will have to go around to beat down some pirates. When you return, Brook will make his appearance. After the chat with Brook, Jeanne and Luffy the quest will be complete.
Navy Directives
This is another side quest that you have to complete. Speak to Jeanne and Sanji will appear with some Navy papers. You need to go to Musubi’s house to figure out where the rest of the papers are. I found her house on the west side of 5th street using Observation Haki, there is a child in front of the house. The kid will tell you that Musubi is near the lake, so head there. She will want 2 Spiky carrots for the info, you can find them in the gardens of Ruby Village. She will give you the location of a chest that has the directives after you give her Carrots. Go there, beat down the pirates, and open the chest. Return to Jeanne to complete the quest.
Sea Prison
This is another side quest that you have to complete. Jeanne tells you that Franky is being held in the Sea Prison. Work your way to the prison to start the mission. You have to lower the water levels to go deeper into the prison, they are large yellow switches you have to interact with. The only trick to this mission is getting the last switches within 3 minutes. They are the same color switches in game but you have to get them on floor 3, 4, and 5 before the time runs out. I got it done with a minute to spare, just clear out the enemies as you drop down. There is a Mini boss when you get to Franky, but it’s pretty easy.
Prison Tower
This is another side quest that you have to complete. Jeanne tells you where she thinks Robin is and it is the Prison Tower. When you arrive, Zoro is there facing off with Warden Isaac. After the fight, you have to climb up the side of the tower up to the top. Clear out the enemies, use your Haki, and let Robin out. There is another mini boss fight here as well.
Man Of Ice
Man of Ice can be found in Sapphire Town after Chapter 7. Head to the beach and prepare for a fight, this guy is a legit challenge early on. When you beat him you will get a second objective to find Nick. Use your observation Haki to find the people in front of his home and then use it again to find him in the field. For me he was near the water in the north part of the area.
Halcum Port Material Request
This quest is found in the Halcum Port from a blue haired woman. She wants you to bring her 2 Imitation Kraken. You can find them in the Port here or in any of the harbors on the island. I found mine near the fish stands in Halcum Port.
To Each Their Own Weapon
This is another quest you can find in Sapphire Town, from some kids near a tree. You have to make it to three spots on the map before a minute ends to beat this quest. Make sure you use your Gum Gum Rocket Skill if you have it. When you return, you step on the kids toy and have to help him fix it up. You need Tiny wood, Gem Fragments and a Beast Bone. I had everything but the Beast Bone. I found my Beast Bone in the Crystal Canyon, here on the map.
When you return you will need to then bring them 2 pieces of Taolf Wood, which can be found near the Lighthouse outside of Sapphire Town.
Mysterious Ore
When you get to the Crystal Canyon after Chapter 6, Robin will give you a side quest to get her some crystal. They are the yellow markers in the area for the quest. There is one hidden behind the waterfall also, don’t miss that one. Return to Robin and you will get a fight before completing the quest.
Crystal Canyon Material Request
You can find this one in the Crystal Canyon, I recommend doing this one while doing Mysterious Ore. The man here only wants some base gems, which I had about 20 of at this point. You can find them easily in the canyon if you need more.

To Each Their Own Weapon
This is another quest you can find in Sapphire Town from a woman talking about ghosts. The woman talks about hearing a ghost in the mine in town. Warp to Topaz Town and enter the mine from the bottom. When you get inside, get up to the top and keep going to the marker. Defeat any Navy that you run into along the way. At the end you find the ghost and the quest is complete.
The Joy Of Cooking
This is another quest you can find in Sapphire Town but from Sanji. There is a fight and then Sanji asks you to find Cannonball Cabbage and Gourmet Mushrooms. The Gourmet Mushrooms can be found in the forest north of Ruby Village or on Cannon Island. Cannonball Cabbage can be found in the gardens around Ruby Village. Return to Sanji and you will have to find the kids next. Use your Observation Haki in the area to find them easier. When all the kids are found, return to Sanji to eat and finish the quest.
The Lost Swordsman
This is another quest you can find in Sapphire Town from a woman talking about Chopper and Zoro. This one is a bit of a run around. First you need to head to Topaz Mine town and speak to the man with the blonde hair and the orange shirt to hear about Zoro. Next head to Ruby Village and talk to the man with a green scarf near the entrance. The last spot is where you find Zoro, at Halcum Port.
The Weapons Supplier
You can find this one outside of Sapphire Town by speaking with Franky at the mark on the map. He just wants you to beat down 10 pirates and collect their weapons down at the Amber Harbor. Get them and return to Franky to finish the quest.
Island Illness
This quest is found outside of Ruby Village. The first thing you have to do is beat down some navy thugs. Next you will head into town and speak with Chopper. He will ask you to get Needle Grass and Small Flowers, which can be found in the Graveyard. When you give them items to Chopper you will complete the quest.
The Medicines Source
This quest is found outside of Ruby Village after you complete Island Illness. This time Chopper needs the Platinum Flower from the Graveyard, the yellow resource icon on the map. When you give Chopper the item, he will want to speak to another doctor in Emerald Town. Use your Haki to help find the doctor and watch out for Pacifistas in the area.
Isaacs Plans
This quest was found in Sapphire Town after completing The Medicine’s Source. Go to the marker in Emerald Town and follow the path to the back area to find a man. Talk to him and he will ask you to take out some pirates for him. Go to the marker and beat them down. Return to Jeanne after you beat the pirates and she will need 3 Small Leathers. I had over 50 of them at this point so they are easy to find.
The Key To Cooking
This quest was found in Sapphire Town after completing The Medicine’s Source. Speak to Sanji and he will ask you to find Jeanne near the Jade Bridge. Run through the marker and you will get a cut scene with Jeanne, followed by a fight. After the fight, return to Sanji and he will wanted some Imitation Kraken and Seven Spice. Both of these can be found in Halcum Port at the stands and other resource points.
Ancient Texts And Dyna Stones
After you complete a few side quests in Chapter 8, Robin will pop up in Topaz Mine Town with this quest. Head to the marker and speak to the person there. You need to find a cave entrance in the Crystal Canyon. I found it here on the map.
Go to the next marker and then head back to Topaz Mine town to complete the quest.
Secret Of The Robots
This quest is found in Steel City from Franky. He wants you to get him some Robot Parts from the Navy base. There are four ships in the area, this is the one I found the parts on. I had to search the blue crates until I found a robot part.
Warmongers
Warmongers is a quest you have to complete and can be found in Steel City. You need to head to the Navy base and then Halcum Port. When you get to the port, there will be a cut scene and then you return to Steel City. Next you have to follow Ichiji without being seen. Stick to the rooftops, if any pirates near him spot you he will also spot you. When he leaves the city, he will stop and turn around once so keep your distance. Eventually he meets with a pirate and you get a brief cut scene. A fight will happen after that, STAY IN THE CIRCLE ON THE MINI MAP. I got knocked out of the circle and failed the quest.
Memory Lane
Another quest that you can’t miss because it is story related. Head to the north entrance of Steel City. Follow the markers until you get to Cannon Island and then you have to find the kids. Use your Haki to help find them and then take care of the enemy pirates.
Mystical Treasure
Nami wants a hand finding some info about a mystic treasure on the island. Head to Halcum Port and go to the ships in the harbor. There are chests on them that have the documents you are looking for, there are three in total.
