I think Lyfrassir should have a type of blood disease, because (most of) their blood has been changed into liquid bifrost stuff.

Note
Mechanisms don’t actually work that well and are give the mechs disabilities. Most of the mechs have alien/space service dogs/are service dog handlers.
Jonny has heart problems and frequent heart attacks. He has a service dog that can alert him when he is going to have a heart attack so he can prepare (he prefers to die and experience heart attacks alone/in privacy)
Brian has hEDS, fibro and cfs. His joints dislocate very often. He has a service dog that gets others to help him put his limbs back into place when he has dislocated something.
Tim is hard of sight and colourblind. He has a seeing eye dog.
Ivy is autistic and commonly has meltdowns because of how sporadically the mechs live. She has a service dog that does deep pressure therapy during these meltdowns.
Raph has fibro and uses her wings as mobility aids, though they are also heavily affected by pain. She doesn’t have a service dog.
Marius has mobility issues in his arm, and considers it his bad arm, and has cfs. He has a service dog to open doors and drawers and help him with general mobility.
Nastya has a lot of blood issues and has frequent blood clots. She doesn’t have a service dog.
Ashes has extremely bad asthma and has a service dog to alert them when they’re about to have an asthma attack, so they can prepare.
TS has mobility issues and it’s joints commonly lock up. It has a service dog for the same reasons as Marius, and to be included (though it does genuinely need the service dog, it only realised after becoming a handler)
Oh I love this!!!!!

Very late into the month but HAPPY DISABILITY PRIDE MONTH!!
Tumblr media
[ID: A digital drawing of drum bot brian from the mechanisms. He is a man made of bronze brass and silver. His hair is copper wire, which is curly and long, going past his shoulders. He is smiling and holding a disabled pride flag. He wears his hat which is black and has bronze goggles and drum sticks on it. He wears a pink sweater, which has pins for the autism symbol, the o c d flag, the a d h d flag, the e d s ribbon, the c f s ribbon, and the fibromyalgia ribbon. Next to him is a small sketch of me in pink lining, with writing underneath reading in brackets I am celebrating disability pride month by being in pain and cracking my joints heart.]

In one of the little stories in my head I gave one of the Mechs lipomyelomeningocele. I’m not sure if it will stick as an All the Time headcanon, or just this once or occasionally.

Silly hc that the Toy Soldier has a horrible memory (no brain or computer data storage) so it likes to give Ivy detailed reports on things it's done and how its day went. This:
Gives it structure and makes it feel like it's doing reports like it would to a military supervisor (enrichment for it)
Gives Ivy more information to archive in her mechanism, which it is constantly searching for (enrichment for her)
Gives the crew at large concrete references for events, because all but Ivy and Brian's memories fade over them with their immortality. Though the Toy Soldier's memory tends to fade a lot faster than most (disability aid for all)
Anyways this was really funny when Ivy saw Tim really upset for the first time, and at a loss of what to do to help out, started reciting facts about Bertie. And this managed to snap Tim out of sadness with whiplash because how the FUCK does she know any of that.

Viktor NSFW hc's.
Tw: mentions of sickness, mentions of throwing up, mentions of famished body.
Soon I will see my dear Viktor again.
I made some headcanons about him. Hope someone will like it. English isn't my first language, so please, don't beat me up, I'm just some ukrainian guy.
— The older Viktor gets, the worse his legs get. Problems with joints are added to the congenital curvature. If at the age of twenty-two he was able to cover three or four kilometers in a day, and with proper stops and motivation — all eight, now, at thirty-two, it is sometimes difficult for him even to get himself out of bed.
— Viktor, in addition to the corset and leg correction shown in the series, wears compression stockings when he feels particularly lousy.
— Actually, all his meals are scheduled and strictly regulated in accordance with his medication, but this stubborn workaholic often neglects his needs, which then makes him vomit bile, faints and experiences other troubles.
— Speaking of stomach problems. Let's omit the fact that all the characters that I like, they somehow magically appear — Viktor really has a reason for problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Previously, everything was tolerable, but now, due to the side effects of phlegm-thinning lung drugs and heavy painkillers on which he sits, Viktor vomits with enviable regularity at least once every two weeks. This usually happens either in the middle of the working day or after. Sometimes he jumps up to get a basin early in the morning, because he can also be sick from pills. Because of this, his teeth are slowly deteriorating. In addition, it is in the episodes of vomiting that he feels particularly weak and pathetic.
— It is in case of an unforeseen outpouring of vomit that there is a basin under Viktor's desk.
— He often faints too. This is mainly due to overwork and lack of sleep. Over the years, Victor has learned to anticipate this phenomenon and therefore usually manages to sit down.
— Viktor washes exclusively while sitting on a special shower chair for people with disabilities. You can't sit in the bathroom in his position, and if you do, you'll get out, and standing in the shower without support is painful and tiring for him.
— If Viktor takes days off, it's just to get enough sleep. He doesn't like social events and noisy streets. It seems to him that the Piltoverians look at him with contempt, he does not like small talk, because he is used to putting meaning and sincerity into every word he says, and, besides, the noise of the crowd tires him very quickly. Even when Jayce invites him, filled with a strange sense of extrovert duty to an introverted work partner, Viktor politely refuses. He does not want to once again experience the views of the local nobility and feel like a stranger. He has enough problems without that.
— The feeling of loneliness and misunderstanding is his only faithful companion. Since childhood, Viktor has watched the fun of other children as if through bulletproof glass, and over the years this feeling of alienation from the world of people has only worsened. He had never experienced true friendship, had never loved anyone—and sometimes this realization made him hate himself so much that it was time to climb into a noose. In despair, he thought that maybe if he had been born like everyone else, it would have been easier for him. No, he never tried to be like the crowd, but loneliness often made him regret his genius. Over time, Viktor resigned himself. After all, his mechanisms will always be with him. There is no human impermanence in them. The breakdown of a certain gear is easier to predict than the cooling of a relationship.
— By the age of thirty-two, Viktor is a virgin. As mentioned earlier, he has never loved anyone, and therefore this fact is not shameful for him. He just thinks it's out of his area of interest and has no regrets about it.
— Viktor has a very significant «manhood»: 18.4 cm in length. However, he does not use it.
— Despite the extremely lousy position of his lungs, he smokes, and smokes a lot. He prefers unfiltered cigarettes, smokes about a dozen a day.
— Surprisingly, Viktor is not circumcised and is not even infertile. He is quite capable of becoming a father - but I think anyone understands that this will be the worst version of a dad that can only be imagined.
— Viktor never attached much importance to the partner's gender. He believes that there is no need to limit yourself to such extensive issues. He is bisexual (and possibly a mechanophile).
— If Viktor hypothetically has sex, he will do it with all his usual thoroughness. He will buy a pack of the best thin condoms (japanese ones can serve as an analogue from our world), purchase hypoallergenic lubricant and be very careful with his partner. In addition, before sexual intercourse, he will wash himself and immediately before the process, he will discuss everything with his partner again. It may seem superfluous, but he does not know how to do otherwise. He feels safer when he knows for sure that he is doing everything right: after all, it is not in his plans to damage someone's intestines or cervix.
— What Viktor will definitely not try in bed is the missionary position, where the heavier partner will be on top, and sitting on his face. This point hardly needs explanation.
— If Viktor finds himself in a receiving position in bed (that is, under a man), he will expect from his partner the same tenderness and attentiveness that he shows himself. Viktor does not welcome rudeness and savagery. He is thirty-two years old and terminally ill. With him, either gently and carefully, or in no way.
— Viktor prefers large partners with a good combination of fat percentage and muscle mass. No, appearance does not come first for him, the contact of mind and soul is more important to him — but opposites attract, and he will be especially pleased if his partner, regardless of gender, is an athletic endomorph with dark skin and large breasts. Sky and Jayce are perfect for his type.
— By the way, the subject of Viktor's stingy erotic fantasies are... Anatomical sketches with a female body. Yes, he prefers realism and precision even in such matters.
— Viktor treats himself differently. As mentioned earlier, he differentiates himself from society, and therefore his own nakedness seems disgusting and unnatural to him. He considers himself unattractive due to exhaustion and pelvic problems, and therefore does not like to relate himself to the general mass. Deep down, he wants to become a machine: then there will be no problems with a sick body and an imperfect mind. «Naturalness is for everyone, but not for me.»

Small hc I have is that players that are the owners or at least the "origin" player of servers can mess not just with the code of their world in modifying weapons or mechanics, but can also cause permanently changes to code within players on the server, including themselves, whether intentional or accidental. And to some extent, this ability transfers to other players designated as admins depending on how much power they are given.
Anyways, so when Rat got flung 7 million blocks out into the world border, he was in so much pain from not dying that he impulsively reached into his own code and disabled the part that allowed him to feel pain. The issue is I imagine normally "modding" is done in a workshop setting that would have like equipment and safeguards against things like this. So he wasn't exactly safely doing it or in a setting that allowed him to experiment carefully like the other mods he done. So while he stopped the pain (aka the damage tilt) and it was useful to not be constantly in agony while getting back, when he tried to revert it after he returned, he realized he didn't really know what he did and it kind of messed up a lot more things than he initially thought it did.
And that basically was Rat damaged most of his sensory abilities, though primarily it was his sense of touch that was messed up, he also found a few other oddities in his sense of taste, sight, and hearing (no sense of hunger, salty things were sweet & vice versa, music did not sound right, etc.) Luckily those last ones weren't too life-threatening necessarily, and I think it would be funny if he could scarf down spicy food without feeling a single thing, while he saw Astronyu and Lux dying over the same dinner he was casually inhaling.
I know nothing about coding and how exactly you might fuck up something that you don't know what happened to the base code stuff. But whatever Rat did he fucked it up good because reasonably he didn't exactly have clarity of mind while doing it. So since this isn't an easy fix, he makes a quick supplementary code to help alert him if he was low on health or hunger. Since he is well aware of why the sensation of pain is needed in ppl as much as he liked not feeling any. While he has some success in creating mimicry modifications to help him bring back or fix some sensations, he hasn't exactly figured out how to bring everything to how it was. And he decided to forgo with coding back his sensory ability to feel pain, since those attempts weren't going well.
But hey, he is surviving for the most part and he has people looking out for him :)
I like to imagine this also inspired him to look into messing with internal player coding, which culminated in the Defile (aka becoming ink blob stuff) mod.
===
Slight bonus round
(also TW for self-neglect/harm)
Rat is terrible at taking care of himself even before this incident and he is kinda worse off after the 7 million block incident. But Lux and Astronyu find ways to help make sure he is listening to his supplementary reminders and you know taking care of himself. Until of course, Lux is dead and, more often than not, Rat just stops trying. Stops listening to Astronyu trying to help and often lets himself die to respawn. It's more efficient that way and well it isn't like he feels pain, he just locks himself in his room or workshop and sets his respawn there whenever he needs to just keep himself there. And at least, he keeps himself busy in there alone, and it is okay, as long as he ignores the sad way Astronyu looks at him each time he comes out after locking himself away for so long.
He is living in some way, at least.

Fun Batfam Fashion HCs
Cass has kinda small feet so she definitely wears the Batman Jr Crocs just for funsies.
Bruce only has three modes: batman, suit, or WE merch.
Babs made her own Batgirl suit, so we all know she can def sew, so she probs takes off the rack clothes and adds like magnets instead of buttons and extra openings to make them wheelchair/disability accessible for her n the galdem.
Gotham fashion designers are actually elite and the themed collections go wild. They totally have secret forums to discuss villain costumes they made.
Tim unironically wears steel toed socks when working on mechanical stuff in the Batcave, ain’t nobody wearing shoes inside.
Jason has one of those cute little book wallets of The Picture of Dorian Grey.

👛Tina Rosenburg moodboard and hcs!🍰 (Before her disability)
Tumblr media
♡She is 100% introvert
♡She loves doing her own makeup. It's a kind of meditation for her and she likes to experiment with it.
♡I'm not very knowledgeable about music to name specific musicians or genres that would fit the timeline, but I think Tina would like music similar to Lana Del Rey, TW Girl and Princess Chelsea.
♡She is generally a homebody, although she loves to walk in the park near her house with Flora. The trip with her and Jack was the first time in a long time that Tina was away from home. She was persuaded for a long time, promising that it would be an "unforgettable pastime" and that she would "definitely like it." It really was unforgettable, but she didn't like it.
♡Jack is Tina's neighbor. He is five years older than her, they met when Jack was just moving into a new house. She liked his responsiveness and the fact that he understands almost everything - music, mechanics, even psychology, etc. He "replaced" Tina with several interlocutors at once, because they could talk about almost any topic! Tina was 16 when they met, and they started dating after her 19th birthday.
♡ She loves to bake all kinds of sweets, sew and knit toys (mostly for herself, although on Jack's initiative she began to make to order), she likes drawing, but she herself can only draw simple landscapes. People, despite all her attempts to study anatomy, come out no better than when she was 5 years old.
♡ She does not have a favorite dish, but she can definitely say that her favorite sweet is a bun with cinnamon, and her favorite drink is tea with lemon.
♡Her paternal grandfather is german. Tina loves and is interested in german history and culture, especially folklore, and can speak german fluently.
♡Her parents are divorced, and while Flora lived with Sienna and her father visited her regularly, Tina, due to the fact that her parents' houses were close to each other, lived with her mother for six months and with her father for six months. Before the divorce, Rosenbergs were believers, but they were not religious at all, but Tina's new stepmother was. Fortunately, she was not a fanatic, but simply a deeply religious catholic. She influenced Tina's father in this regard and tried to influence Tina herself. Not that she succeeded, but Tina still kept the religious attributes given to her by her stepmother, wears a cross and sometimes prays.
♡She wanted to work as a baker and open her own bakery, but realizing that this does not give her 100% confidence in a stable future (at least there is huge competition there), she decided to become an accountant.

gort and political views (and uh. gender?) hcs ramble…
(cw for discussions of ableism and transphobia)
while obviously a technoautocrat fascist and just very far-right in general with the majority of his followers being somewhere in that field as well as a result, using many tactics of those ideologies like instilling fear and terror and chaos in the population he comes in to “fix” (though i believe he sees this as more of a. “only making what is already there more obvious” thing. awful) and many more, he is a genius master manipulator who would ultimately utilise everything to sway as many people as he can since that’s what matters in the end. maybe even slyly changing talking points per speech & crowd that is attending…
though i don’t think he shares some views that are commonly associated with that. while he will certainly utilise these talking points for manipulating and/or hurting people, for someone who judges “people” (they’re not people to him) solely based on the factor of usefulness, i can’t see him being genuinely racist, misogynistic, transphobic since those things usually don’t affect your usefulness. a different story with disabled people since they most likely will not be able to perform labour as well as others, so to me, he is very horrifically ableist.
though. he is also very much the machine conquering the world and shaping it after his image which is a process that takes everyone’s “malfunction/urges”/free will away so they are either his tools or. well. dead/nothing if they don’t comply, so i could also see him being like. yeah the flesh form is weak and will ultimately be conquered, but he can recognise that someone was assigned female/male/intersex at birth. changing that based on what to him is malfunction/a feeling? that’s even more illogical. but again usually doesn’t impact usefulness so he just puts a pin in it. “conquer later” lmao
also can everyone be chill for a seccy now. this is why i see him as agender. he obviously doesn’t call himself that but as in uh. what his view towards the whole thing actually is. fully recognises that he was assigned male at birth and doesn’t care to change any characteristics of that (probably preferring things like being generally bigger, easier muscle/strength building for his work as a blacksmith/mechanic or just. fights or intimidating people in general, and no periods though. again it’s all about usefulness to him) but his body is ultimately a flesh suit puppeted and utilised by his core (the machine) and also he finds the entire concept of gender entirely illogical.

the deeprealms are funny as hell the devs wanted a child mechanic like in awakening but they couldnt do it exactly like awakening because there was time travel stuff so their solutions was that the kids got sent to The Beach That Turn You Old. And they got old.
anyway one time i sent an ask to a fe fates hc blog about shiro having a stutter does that count for a disability pride month take

Respectfully since it's a topic on the hc blog at the moment, what's so wrong with headcanoning the characters doing ableist things?
If you do, you get crucified by the entire fandom but the entire point is that they're terrible people who do terrible things to eachother. I am well aware that it's fucked up. That's the point!
It's bad because they're not disabled/don't share the same disabilities. And even if they did, that's still extremely risky.
Yes, they are terrible people but ableism (as well as other things like homo/transphobia, racism, misogyny, etc) is definitely crossing a line. This was an issue about a year and a half ago or so (mid-late summer 2023 if I remember correctly) but it eventually stopped and we get upset because we don't want it to happen again. A lot of the fanbase is disabled as well and we want to protect and defend ourselves by telling people off due to just how insensitive it is. Though, I am aware some people make those headcanons as a coping mechanism due to ableism they have suffered, so...
Overall it's better off to not make them unless it's a coping mechanism, and if it is, clearly state it is one. It is a pretty bad idea to make them in the first place though, coming from someone who you'd consider "moderately" disabled. I like having an ableism-free and safe community where I am allowed to be myself, thanks. (/nm)

hi bud, do you have literally any worldbuilding or other hcs about camp jupiter/new rome? would love to hear about it from you ^.^
OKAY! So I'm gonna break it down between Wolf House and Camp Jupiter/New Rome because I do have some ideas lol. Warning for mention of abuse, suicide and self-harm.
The Wolf House:
Most of the kids arrive at the wolf house between 9 to 12 years old. Jason and Frank are uncommon outliers. All demigods and legacies who live outside of New Rome have to go to the Wolf House (unless they receive an exception from their godly parent). Legacies who live within New Rome may be able to bypass the Wolf House if they prove themselves to Lupa as capable. It's uncommon for legacies to bypass the Wolf House in this way, as Lupa has high standards, but it isn't, like, rare or anything. It can happen, and a lot of parents do train their kids in some way so a lot of the legacies from New Rome do have more skills by the time they end up at the Wolf House.
Exceptions can be made for demigods or legacies who live outside of New Rome. The exceptions have to be requested by their godly parent. Hazel is an exception, with Nico providing her exception to Camp Jupiter from Pluto (debatable if this was valid or if he forged his dad's signature, lol, I like the idea he faked it, channeling that "Hermes was my babysitter and taught me fraud" energy). I also HC that Reyna was an exception, given by Circe who, as a surrogate mother, didn't want her to undergo further trauma via the Wolf House.
Some exceptions can be given if the demigod or legacy in question in signficantly physically disabled in some way. These exceptions aren't very common, and might be dismissed if the disability isn't considered severe enough by Lupa - like if the kid were deaf or blind, well, yeah, she's still gonna have them trained at the Wolf House. However, if they're a quadriplegic, then, yeah, an exception can be made. It is very rare that they can get an exception to Wolf House training/joining the army for mental disorders/disabilities though.
The Wolf House is traumatic. Kids learn unhealthy coping mechanisms and may commit suicide. This is where a lot of the survivors, especially Jason, pick up the idea that suicide is cowardly and pathetic. These kids are not remembered in a positive light. Legacies tend to commit suicide less than demigods because they are more prepared by their demigod parent(s) for what to expect by the time the wolves come to get them. But they still end up just as fucked, which is why a lot of demigods parents try to get their kids to bypass the Wolf House by training them early.
Abuse is also common in the Wolf House. It is a secluded location with significant isolation from external and alternative authority figures. Older kids can and will take out their fustrations on the younger kids. The wolves do their best to correct this behaviour when they see it because it goes against the idea of a healthy pack, but it does go unnoticed pretty frequently, especially with training being so physical. You can unload on another kid without reprimand if you're both supposed to be wrestling.
Sexual abuse is uncommon, but does happen, especially as kids start puberty while they're at the Wolf House.
The kids are forced to rely on the garden and hunting for food. They're not really allowed to leave the Wolf House until their training is complete. Kids who die, whether by the wolves or suicide, are buried in the garden as fertilizer. When Ceres' kids are buried, the garden doubles, sometimes triples, its output. When Pluto or Mors' kids are buried, the garden remains completely free from pests. So, in times where the garden might be fucked from weather conditions or the fact that the kids don't know how to garden, these kids might be targetted by the others out of desperation.
Training typically takes about a year. Some kids might stay longer or be allowed to leave earlier. They make the trek to Camp Jupiter in groups (except for Jason, who had to do the journey alone). The final leg of training before they leave is usually the kids being hunted by the wolves over the course of three days. It's a practical application of what they've learned in the Wolf House, and helps them better work together as a "pack"/team. They hide and live in the nearby forest surrounding the Wolf House. They are only allowed one weapon and the clothes they're wearing in order to really learn how to pick apart their environment to survive.
If you've lasted to this end of training, then there's about a 85% chance you'll survive. The 15% of kids who die are typically those who are seen as weaker by the group they are with or kids who were abusive - they either get left behind to die or are shoved in front of the wolves as an unwilling sacrifice. They might be killed directly by the other members of the group, but this is less common.
Camp Jupiter/New Rome:
There are more legacies than demigods. Because godly power gets diluted over time when it comes to legacies, especially those with mortal parents, "designer" legacies are common. Certain/powerful demigods are encouraged to have sex with each other to carry on the power of the godly parents, especially if the godly parents are complimentary to each other. The types of demigod who are most encouraged:
Kids of the Big Three (Pluto, Neptune, Jupiter)
Kids of the Archaic Triad (Jupiter, Mars, Quirinis)
Kids of the Aventine Triad (Ceres, Liber, Libera/Prosperina)
Kids of various war deities, like Bellona, Victoria, etc
Kids with natural powerful ability
So once Jason became old enough, as a child of Jupiter, he would've been heavily encouraged to procreate with various people, like Reyna or Hazel even.
Because these kids are born more for the benefit of the collective instead of inherent desire from their parents, blended families are very common in New Rome. Fertility treatments and rituals are also very common. There are a lot of rituals done before sex in order to encourage more of the positive traits of each god to be passed onto the kid, i.e. level-headed discipline instead of anger issues in grandchildren of Mars.
Camp Jupiter and New Rome have two primary source of funding: quest payments and child support. Gods will typically send a sum of money for each kid that they have at Camp Jupiter. The money for each kid does reduce when the kids move to living at New Rome, but it's still present until they die. Some gods send the money annually, some may send it monthly. Whenever a child of Pluto or Prosperina joins the camp, everyone rejoices because Pluto always sends a signficant sum of money since he likes to spoil his kids. He also gets them the best deals on materials needed for crafting. These kids are very heavily encouraged to stay at New Rome instead of leaving once they're finished with their service at Camp Jupiter.
While CHB tends to receive quests through the oracle and they're not as frequently delivered, quests at Camp Jupiter are very frequent and generally distributed directly from the gods themselves. Common types of quests:
I lost something, go find it
Mercury stole something, go get it (and maybe smack him a little because this is getting old)
My child's mortal parent passed away, please go collect them as they're too young to go to the Wolf House
I need something from someone but I'm not talking to them right now so go get it for me
There's a magical item in a dangerous location and I want it but I don't feel like fighting my way through the dangers so you go do that for me, thanks
Quests are always paid upon completion.
Camp Jupiter and New Rome is fairly self-sustaining. They have a large agricultural output. People who grow up in New Rome are taught farming and homestead basics, even if they never do those things full-time. Their diet is very healthy and vegetable forward. If they do eat junk food, it's usually stuff that can be easily made by the average person, like ice cream or cookies, not things like Skittles or doritos. As a result, a lot of the legacies who grow up in New Rome don't like certain food outside of New Rome that is made by machines/large companies, like bottled fruit juice or certain bread, because it tastes weird to them since they're not used to it.
For kids who are given an exception due to disability, they are still trained and taught how to protect themselves and others, even if they aren't drafted into Camp Jupiter. Legacies who live outside of New Rome but close enough may attend these trainings in their free time.
If a legacy has a mortal and demigod parent and the demigod parent passes away, there is a major effort by people at New Rome to bring the kid over to New Rome and raise them there, even if their mortal parent is still fully capable of raising them. The mortal parent is not allowed to live at New Rome though, so obviously they're not appreciative of the people trying to essentially kidnap their kid(s). I imagine some legacies do end up being kidnapped from their mortal family, especially if they're very young when their demigod parent passes. This is why, if someone does choose to live outside of New Rome, they typically leave California and live in another state (or country).
Also, demigods are prioritized as members of Camp Jupiter. So if there are a lot of demigods joining camp in one year or there are no open spots in the Cohorts, the legacies who were supposed to join (and survived the Wolf House) may return to New Rome as a reserve instead. They generally end up working the fields as part of their service instead, and may still be called to go on quests. They still do training with the others, but it's not like an every day thing, maybe once or twice a week in order to keep them fresh in case they're called upon.
As I've said before, I think the kids at Camp Jupiter/New Rome are more in touch with the ancient Roman traditions than the kids at CHB. They follow the Roman festival calender and rituals (updated for modern times/limitations, i.e. Octavian sacrificing stuffed animals instead of real ones). Worship of gods is commonplace. It's not out of the ordinary to see a small group of kids collected around a statue or public shrine to pray as you walk around.
Most have two or three primary gods, with their godly parent/grandparent(s)/great-grandparent(s)/etc included in the count. If they have a direct connection to a specific god, they're also usually included, for example, Jason worships Jupiter (his father), and Juno and Lupa, who he views as mother figures as he is Juno's champion of sorts and was raised by Lupa. For Reyna, she worships Bellona (her mother) and Circe (her surrogate mother). For legacies with more than two godly connections, they tend to choose the gods whose traits and powers are strongest in them. This is generally the god(s) who are most recent in their lineage, but not always (recessive genes and whatnot, lol).
Camp and New Rome also focus more on the collective than the individual, and because there are more legacies than demigods, casual use of magical power isn't very common. Part of this is because legacies tend to have weaker magic power compared to demigods, so it takes a lot of effort to utlize their powers and thus they don't use their powers very much outside of battle. The other part is that, since the Roman gods have less kids than their Greek counterparts, a lot of the time some demigods don't have siblings or even legacy counterparts who can train them to use their powers.
When they have power that comes instinctually, they're usually notched as one of those people that will end up having a bunch of people convince them to have lots of babies, lol. Especially if their power is super strong. But otherwise, they tend to struggle with exploring the use of their powers. It's not like they don't use their powers casually at all, but unless it's related to battle, farming, or whatever job they have (think a child of Prosperina who is a florist, or Octavian as an augur), you don't see it much and if casual use of power is done, it's typically from demigods, not legacies.
Jason probably uses his powers the most out of the current set of kids at Camp Jupiter (and Hazel, technically, but summoning metal is involuntary for her, so I don't really count it), and he doesn't really use his powers very much in general, aside from, maybe, flying.
Uhhh, there's probably more, but, ha, this is pretty long as is, and after two hours of thought and writing my brain is now cutting me off, so I'm gonna end it here. Thanks for asking!
