Mechanisms don’t actually work that well and are give the mechs disabilities. Most of the mechs have alien/space service dogs/are service dog handlers.

Jonny has heart problems and frequent heart attacks. He has a service dog that can alert him when he is going to have a heart attack so he can prepare (he prefers to die and experience heart attacks alone/in privacy)

Brian has hEDS, fibro and cfs. His joints dislocate very often. He has a service dog that gets others to help him put his limbs back into place when he has dislocated something.

Tim is hard of sight and colourblind. He has a seeing eye dog.

Ivy is autistic and commonly has meltdowns because of how sporadically the mechs live. She has a service dog that does deep pressure therapy during these meltdowns.

Raph has fibro and uses her wings as mobility aids, though they are also heavily affected by pain. She doesn’t have a service dog.

Marius has mobility issues in his arm, and considers it his bad arm, and has cfs. He has a service dog to open doors and drawers and help him with general mobility.

Nastya has a lot of blood issues and has frequent blood clots. She doesn’t have a service dog.

Ashes has extremely bad asthma and has a service dog to alert them when they’re about to have an asthma attack, so they can prepare.

TS has mobility issues and it’s joints commonly lock up. It has a service dog for the same reasons as Marius, and to be included (though it does genuinely need the service dog, it only realised after becoming a handler)

In one of the little stories in my head I gave one of the Mechs lipomyelomeningocele. I’m not sure if it will stick as an All the Time headcanon, or just this once or occasionally.

Silly hc that the Toy Soldier has a horrible memory (no brain or computer data storage) so it likes to give Ivy detailed reports on things it's done and how its day went. This:

Gives it structure and makes it feel like it's doing reports like it would to a military supervisor (enrichment for it)

Gives Ivy more information to archive in her mechanism, which it is constantly searching for (enrichment for her)

Gives the crew at large concrete references for events, because all but Ivy and Brian's memories fade over them with their immortality. Though the Toy Soldier's memory tends to fade a lot faster than most (disability aid for all)

Anyways this was really funny when Ivy saw Tim really upset for the first time, and at a loss of what to do to help out, started reciting facts about Bertie. And this managed to snap Tim out of sadness with whiplash because how the FUCK does she know any of that.

fave jayvik hc so far is that jayce knew how to make a rlly good leg brace from basically scraps bc he helped in designing and crafting viktor's own brace🫠👍🏻

^^ "scraps" is kinda mirroring them probably having to make mock ups and test runs while trying to perfect viktor's brace so there were a bunch of prototypes with random parts they had lying around trying to make it work ahaaaa

like obviously jayce is extremely talented and smart when it comes to engineering so he very easily coulda come up w the design and mechanics of it on the spot (meaning using what he had on hand, rather than actually coming up with it in a few hours bc,, well he was down there for at least a few weeks HAHA) but idk its nice to think about i guess lmfao

plus itd make a lil bit of sense, like why go somewhere else to get a leg brace when your perfectly capable and willing partner is right here lmfao.

also we only see viktor has the leg brace after working with jayce. and yeah u could chalk it up to his illness getting worse so he wouldntve needed it until now. and obviously im not trying to ignore the fact that viktor is extremely capable to make it himself and if he did maybe since hes more than an assistant he actually has the tools and means to make it himself now lol.

but idk it seems like jayce was one of the first if not only person to care about V and include him in things ("people didnt believe in me, a poor disabled kid from the undercity" "i dont want to spend my whole life as an assistant" "our hextech dream" "arent you the professor's assistant" "you should be up there with me" etc) so i can totally picture him see viktor working on it or even a glance at a few crude sketches as a start and want to help his partner yk?

and from what we see hes like extremely nice and caring and at the risk of this sounding too fluffy bc thats not the point rn you can picture viktor walking around the lab, jayce noticing him wincing whenever he tries to correct his position and offering to help him with a mobility aid and they have all the means necessary to build it right here right now and shit happens and here we are now lol

hes constantly making an effort to show and tell people that hextech is not JUST his doing, but viktor's too. which, as someone who seemed to revel in the attention, jayce easily could've forgotten to mention, but never does

so in my head it makes sense that he would be the first person to propose the idea of helping him in creating a leg brace that would make walking a lil less painful (it keeps his foot straight, u can see he has to correct the angle himself in s1 act1)

also jayce has two different braces- during and post anomaly. so while there may just be some place in piltover that makes them i’d like to think he just whipped it up all quicklike in his lab the second he got back bc like.. the blueprints are right there lol

his and viktor’s arent entirely similar ofc bc they serve two different functions,, viktors helps to keep his leg/foot facing and moving foward, and jayces kinda just stabilizes/supports his leg i think ? uh but they both help in general to reduce pain

n then viktor, having a leg that didnt develop akin to typical human anatomy, is clearly shown as not the easiest to walk or put pressure in on lmao, especially when he only really got to correct it at like age 30, so like, habits (for lack of a better term) have already been deeply rooted in his posture by now lol

bc, well,, putting any weight on that fucked up Broken In Half shin bone that Definitely Did Not heal correctly (if its even fully healed at this point in the first place) probably causes a bunch of Ouch- hence the supports in the front of his leg,, post anomaly tho, during anomaly its at the sides which was probably just to straighten the injury while it was healing idk.

i cant find a good answer as to why the lower leg support is in the front now but my main guess is so it doesnt put too much strain when he bends his knee/ankle downward, which u can kinda see in ep8 when he blasts viktor and the knockback breaks the part resting on his shoe away, and its hard to see but i think his ankle bends slightly more after the gear breaks ? so thats what i can assume.

clearly im not well versed in the art of KAFO support braces and i tried to look up to the best of my abilities but came up empty handed HAHA who knew itd be so hard referencing similarities between the homemade parallel reality fictional sci fi gear braces and modern irl real orthotic braces LMAO

I made some headcanons about him. Hope someone will like it. English isn't my first language, so please, don't beat me up, I'm just some ukrainian guy.

— The older Viktor gets, the worse his legs get. Problems with joints are added to the congenital curvature. If at the age of twenty-two he was able to cover three or four kilometers in a day, and with proper stops and motivation — all eight, now, at thirty-two, it is sometimes difficult for him even to get himself out of bed.

— Viktor, in addition to the corset and leg correction shown in the series, wears compression stockings when he feels particularly lousy.

— Actually, all his meals are scheduled and strictly regulated in accordance with his medication, but this stubborn workaholic often neglects his needs, which then makes him vomit bile, faints and experiences other troubles.

— Speaking of stomach problems. Let's omit the fact that all the characters that I like, they somehow magically appear — Viktor really has a reason for problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Previously, everything was tolerable, but now, due to the side effects of phlegm-thinning lung drugs and heavy painkillers on which he sits, Viktor vomits with enviable regularity at least once every two weeks. This usually happens either in the middle of the working day or after. Sometimes he jumps up to get a basin early in the morning, because he can also be sick from pills. Because of this, his teeth are slowly deteriorating. In addition, it is in the episodes of vomiting that he feels particularly weak and pathetic.

— It is in case of an unforeseen outpouring of vomit that there is a basin under Viktor's desk.

— He often faints too. This is mainly due to overwork and lack of sleep. Over the years, Victor has learned to anticipate this phenomenon and therefore usually manages to sit down.

— Viktor washes exclusively while sitting on a special shower chair for people with disabilities. You can't sit in the bathroom in his position, and if you do, you'll get out, and standing in the shower without support is painful and tiring for him.

— If Viktor takes days off, it's just to get enough sleep. He doesn't like social events and noisy streets. It seems to him that the Piltoverians look at him with contempt, he does not like small talk, because he is used to putting meaning and sincerity into every word he says, and, besides, the noise of the crowd tires him very quickly. Even when Jayce invites him, filled with a strange sense of extrovert duty to an introverted work partner, Viktor politely refuses. He does not want to once again experience the views of the local nobility and feel like a stranger. He has enough problems without that.

— The feeling of loneliness and misunderstanding is his only faithful companion. Since childhood, Viktor has watched the fun of other children as if through bulletproof glass, and over the years this feeling of alienation from the world of people has only worsened. He had never experienced true friendship, had never loved anyone—and sometimes this realization made him hate himself so much that it was time to climb into a noose. In despair, he thought that maybe if he had been born like everyone else, it would have been easier for him. No, he never tried to be like the crowd, but loneliness often made him regret his genius. Over time, Viktor resigned himself. After all, his mechanisms will always be with him. There is no human impermanence in them. The breakdown of a certain gear is easier to predict than the cooling of a relationship.

— By the age of thirty-two, Viktor is a virgin. As mentioned earlier, he has never loved anyone, and therefore this fact is not shameful for him. He just thinks it's out of his area of interest and has no regrets about it.

— Viktor has a very significant «manhood»: 18.4 cm in length. However, he does not use it.

— Despite the extremely lousy position of his lungs, he smokes, and smokes a lot. He prefers unfiltered cigarettes, smokes about a dozen a day.

— Surprisingly, Viktor is not circumcised and is not even infertile. He is quite capable of becoming a father - but I think anyone understands that this will be the worst version of a dad that can only be imagined.

— Viktor never attached much importance to the partner's gender. He believes that there is no need to limit yourself to such extensive issues. He is bisexual (and possibly a mechanophile).

— If Viktor hypothetically has sex, he will do it with all his usual thoroughness. He will buy a pack of the best thin condoms (japanese ones can serve as an analogue from our world), purchase hypoallergenic lubricant and be very careful with his partner. In addition, before sexual intercourse, he will wash himself and immediately before the process, he will discuss everything with his partner again. It may seem superfluous, but he does not know how to do otherwise. He feels safer when he knows for sure that he is doing everything right: after all, it is not in his plans to damage someone's intestines or cervix.

— What Viktor will definitely not try in bed is the missionary position, where the heavier partner will be on top, and sitting on his face. This point hardly needs explanation.

— If Viktor finds himself in a receiving position in bed (that is, under a man), he will expect from his partner the same tenderness and attentiveness that he shows himself. Viktor does not welcome rudeness and savagery. He is thirty-two years old and terminally ill. With him, either gently and carefully, or in no way.

— Viktor prefers large partners with a good combination of fat percentage and muscle mass. No, appearance does not come first for him, the contact of mind and soul is more important to him — but opposites attract, and he will be especially pleased if his partner, regardless of gender, is an athletic endomorph with dark skin and large breasts. Sky and Jayce are perfect for his type.

— By the way, the subject of Viktor's stingy erotic fantasies are... Anatomical sketches with a female body. Yes, he prefers realism and precision even in such matters.

— Viktor treats himself differently. As mentioned earlier, he differentiates himself from society, and therefore his own nakedness seems disgusting and unnatural to him. He considers himself unattractive due to exhaustion and pelvic problems, and therefore does not like to relate himself to the general mass. Deep down, he wants to become a machine: then there will be no problems with a sick body and an imperfect mind. «Naturalness is for everyone, but not for me.»

Hello! Since you have said you’re disabled, I want to know your opinions on what sex positions would/wouldn’t be comfortable for Viktor?

I like the headcanon that he has femoral anteversion (which i think you know of bc of the “rotated femur” line in The Game of Teaching Body?) which, from what I’ve read, causes a lot of hip pain, alongside knee pain. So… idk what would be comfortable. I think that a position where he’s standing wouldn’t be too painful so long as he has something to put his upper weight on. But that’s just a guess. What do you think?

Side note: ppl with femoral anteversion are often known to be clumsy and tripping on their feet and I never see that headcanon for Viktor. I think the leg brace would help correct it but pre leg brace? I think ppl should write him as a bit clumsy!

Hi Anon! If you only knew how much time I spend thinking about this :')

First off, I have a completely different disability and it's under control, thanks to me being active and taking my meds (I climb, do yoga, swim a bit and bike, though that's not very healthy for my hips, so I do it for funsies :v). My hot spots are sacroiliac joints and recently thoracic spine area due to natural progression of my illness.

In The Game of Teaching Body he just had a cramp :') Which I included because they happen to me a lot through the mechanism of compensation. If he has an internal hip rotation I can imagine his adductor longus and quadriceps femoris are constantly tense, so they would be more prone to cramps. Also, with an internal hip rotation, his pelvis would naturally position his spine into deepened lumbar lordosis, and that also adds on front leg muscles tension. And cramps happen even with the slightest use of an already tense muscle, so if he is free standing while thrusting his hips, it could happen. If his weight was supported, I think he would be ok, but would have to be careful.

When topping (here I mean being the inserting body), these are just my HCs: ok with missionary so long as he can lean his weight on the partner or have some hip/knee support, ok with being straddled (and here any configuration, chair, bed, floor maybe not too comfy but he would survive), ok from behind when he can literally lay on his partner. Not ok with any kind of kneeling and standing against the wall - like if the partner has to hook their leg over his hip, that's death. I think he would also be ok with spooning if done on the right side. When bottoming, well, I think it's harder, mostly because keeping your legs open when you have hip problems is tough. Which is partly why I HC Viktor as top, but won't die on that hill, I can imagine him switching around with attentive strong partner. Here again, no from behind down on his knees fuck sadly, but any situation where he is bounced by someone's hips, highly possible. Him laying down, having his legs splayed on partner's chest, highly possible. Spooning also ok. And I'm sure Viktor would come up with something better because he is smarter than me :v

These are basically my go-to positions. I like him most in being straddled/missionary because I'm a sap that likes when foreheads touch :') And you saw me, I basically gave him horny heroin so he could have his knee bent on the couch, I'm weak.

My last post really struck something in yall! Been in a softer mood, thinking more about my takes on disability within the HC community.

One thing people often explore with respawn mechanics is the consequences of death. Although you respawn, some part of that death will linger, reflective of acquired disabilities. I see this especially within the Life games. And I think with that comes a sweeter incorporation of devotion and care.

TL!Scar grappling with acquired hearing loss as a result of the creeper explosion. The way Grian’s patterns and behaviours shift to accommodate that. When he moans, he moans against Scars throat, against his skin, letting him feel the vibrations of his chirps and sounds. He becomes accustomed to non verbal displays of consent, tapping and grabbing and making himself nod enthusiastically even when he feels boneless.

Following TL, as Grian adjusts to the chronic pain caused by jumping off Monopoly Mountain, Scar takes him through stretches and pain relief techniques. More than once, Scar helping him stretch out aching limbs ends with them in a mating press, laughing softly, foreheads against one another as they take their sweet time and adjust to every ache in their partners body.

Scarian just happened to be on the brain as I write this, but I might dive more into other characters if people want.

Respectfully since it's a topic on the hc blog at the moment, what's so wrong with headcanoning the characters doing ableist things?

If you do, you get crucified by the entire fandom but the entire point is that they're terrible people who do terrible things to eachother. I am well aware that it's fucked up. That's the point!

It's bad because they're not disabled/don't share the same disabilities. And even if they did, that's still extremely risky.

Yes, they are terrible people but ableism (as well as other things like homo/transphobia, racism, misogyny, etc) is definitely crossing a line. This was an issue about a year and a half ago or so (mid-late summer 2023 if I remember correctly) but it eventually stopped and we get upset because we don't want it to happen again. A lot of the fanbase is disabled as well and we want to protect and defend ourselves by telling people off due to just how insensitive it is. Though, I am aware some people make those headcanons as a coping mechanism due to ableism they have suffered, so...

Overall it's better off to not make them unless it's a coping mechanism, and if it is, clearly state it is one. It is a pretty bad idea to make them in the first place though, coming from someone who you'd consider "moderately" disabled. I like having an ableism-free and safe community where I am allowed to be myself, thanks. (/nm)

while obviously a technoautocrat fascist and just very far-right in general with the majority of his followers being somewhere in that field as well as a result, using many tactics of those ideologies like instilling fear and terror and chaos in the population he comes in to “fix” (though i believe he sees this as more of a. “only making what is already there more obvious” thing. awful) and many more, he is a genius master manipulator who would ultimately utilise everything to sway as many people as he can since that’s what matters in the end. maybe even slyly changing talking points per speech & crowd that is attending…

though i don’t think he shares some views that are commonly associated with that. while he will certainly utilise these talking points for manipulating and/or hurting people, for someone who judges “people” (they’re not people to him) solely based on the factor of usefulness, i can’t see him being genuinely racist, misogynistic, transphobic since those things usually don’t affect your usefulness. a different story with disabled people since they most likely will not be able to perform labour as well as others, so to me, he is very horrifically ableist.

though. he is also very much the machine conquering the world and shaping it after his image which is a process that takes everyone’s “malfunction/urges”/free will away so they are either his tools or. well. dead/nothing if they don’t comply, so i could also see him being like. yeah the flesh form is weak and will ultimately be conquered, but he can recognise that someone was assigned female/male/intersex at birth. changing that based on what to him is malfunction/a feeling? that’s even more illogical. but again usually doesn’t impact usefulness so he just puts a pin in it. “conquer later” lmao

Boothill PetRe Headcanons

Boothill is basically a golden retriever himself, so he'd be honoured to be someone's handler!

—Boothill was very nervous at first, every "what if" scenario under the sun ran through that boy's head. Boothill wanted to make sure his pup felt safe and happy in his care, so he researched as much as he could beforehand.

—Boothill saved up his bounty rewards to get his pup their very first collar, he was so happy to gift it to his pup that he couldn't wait for a birthday or special occasion and just gave it to them immediately.

—Boothill works best with hyper pups, as he himself has a lot of energy, but he absolutely adores low energy pups too. He'll buy an unnecessary amount of blankets, and there's a nice comfy bed for his pup in almost every room of his house.

—Boothill loves spoiling his puppy, toys, treats, special bowls, the pup gets like 80% of his income.

—Having grown up on a farm with sheep herding dogs, Boothill knows better than anyone the importance of keeping his puppy enriched. Boothill will come up with fun and engaging games he and his pup can play, while keeping in mind any limitations his puppy might have—chronic illness, disability, birth defects—he's very considerate. Very mindful. Very cutesy, very demure

—Boothill is admittedly rather bad at enforcing any punishments, especially if his pup is really young. How can he get mad? They're a pubby! Just a lil thing. Ya know that one saying "this hurts me more than it hurts you"? For once it's true. Boothill's more upset than his pup is when punishments happen!

—Boothill always has snacks and treats on hand for his pup, he's careful of any allergies too. If requested, Boothill will also restrict foods like Chocolate or garlic from his pup since bio puppies can't have them either. To make it feel more real for his lil pubby.

—Boothill, head pats, belly rubs, chin scritchies, you ask, he'll give them. Boothill is not opposed to being affectionate. As said before, he's basically a puppy himself, affections come easy.

—Boothill gets a little worried playing games with his pup due to his mechanized body. Tug-of-war is one that really gets him anxious, he's always worried he'll pull too hard on the chew toy and hurt his pups teeth or give them a bruise.

—Bath time is always fun with Boothill, especially in the summer. You know how some puppies like water hoses or sprinklers? Yea Boothill will let his pup play in the sprinkler system or playfully squirt his pup with the hose—if already been told his pup is okay with it, Boothill never sprays them without permission.

—Naptime is the best, Boothill loves to help his pup wind down for bed, be it a bottle, a pacifier, some cuddles, he doesn't mind. His puppy always has the option to sleep on the bed with him, but their puppy bed is available too. Sometimes in the winter of Boothill feels it's necessary, he'll put the dog-bed in his own bed so his pup stays warm no matter what they choose.

—overall a great Handler, might need to get some adjustment time in the start to establish a routine, but once Boothill and his puppy are on the same page, it's smooth sailing from there.

I will NOT age a very young character in hopes of smut, call me chronically online but it feels very iffy to age a child just to sexualize. I will age down for a past fic, with no sex.

𝐅𝗼𝐮𝐫. Different comics — I will gladly use and write different non-common comics/movies/etc veriants but give me time if I haven't read/watched them!

𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞. Smut — yes I will write smut, I'm 18 if that concerns you. I used to write it prior because let's be real we all lied about our age online to write smut on wattpad once or twice. I'm fairly comfortable writing it.

𝐒𝐢𝐱. Limit — I'll do around 4 characters per hc, and I do poly relationships! 2 per senario/minific (depending the size might be different posts)
