The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update 12/July/2024
Was a mixture of tasks this week!
First up was finishing up social media days, and what a difference having stable internet makes to that, lol! :D
Managed to get all the asks answered and scheduled for the month ahead—first month that’s happened in a while! There were some really juicy ones this time around too, so hope you enjoy those, hehe! ;D
Then it was onto the fun of doing the Patreon content! And I’m already excited to see what gets chosen for next month’s Summer Scenario Specials! The second poll for that (looking like vacation-themed…) will be up later too.
After that, I moved onto the edits, which I thought would take me the rest of the week. Instead, I managed to get them all done mid-week and get in another round of checks before sending it off to the final set of readers!
And with that done, I got stuck right back into Chapter Three! I ended up adding in an extra little section, which I was really glad I did because it gave me the perfect chance to give some real foreshadowing of something major coming up later, which I didn’t know how I was going to do!
I’m continuing on with Chapter Three now and will be pushing on through that next week, adding in edits and adjustments to Chapter Two as the readers get back to me over the next while, prepping it ready to add into the demo! Also a couple of things I need to edit for the Steam wishlist for Hosted Games before it can go up, but hopefully will be able to get that done super quick.
Chapter Two had SO much going on, I forgot how much was coming up in Chapter Three as well! There’s a major moment of the MC actually experiencing the training of becoming an Agent rather than just the game telling you it’s been happening off-screen, lol! But I don’t want it to just feel too much of a slog, so want lots of character interactions in there to help break it up all tailored to which Unit you end up doing that training with!
Hope you all have the most fabulous weekend! We’ll be offline as usual, so I’ll update you all again next week! <3

🍿 How Sweet — Dohoon TWS
3. first date day written!
[ 870 words, not proofread, LOTS of time skip]
the waited day is finally here, you've arrived to your new work place. taking a last look in your small mirror, closing it and breathing in the air around you. 'slow and steady' you breath deeply once again mustering up courage, entering the dimly lit building.
"everyone please welcome y/n summer. dear, i've assign you to be part of the usher team, though during the week training dohoon summer is gonna help you learn more than just ushering. that'll include sound check, preparing snacks, ticketing and a whole lot more. understood?"
"yes sir." you nod, taking a mental note at all that's been informed to you. mr kim wraps up the short meeting leaving you in the room with dohoon and some other coworkers. summer is used to refer people working in the summers or part-time, you find it adorable and odd at the same time.
"hi! do you remember me? im bae."
"noona this is anton!"
"im juyeon, can i call you noona?"
you greet all of them giddily, glad to find the people from yesterday's group. time went by fast and now it's time for the training to start. "we're so sorry, are we yapping right now? you must've been so uncomfortable" you smile softly, replying with a reassuring tone. "it was lovely listening to you guys talking, plus i got some more information about the cinema right?"
"that's true but—" "it's about time for the training, we better get going." dohoon cuts short of the talks. you purse your lips, bowing at the other coworkers following dohoon out of the meeting room. you sigh feeling way better than inside of the small room. it's not like you didn't enjoy talking to them but, there's something suffocating about one of them that you can't put your hands around. it was the guy named juyeon.
"if you ever feel uncomfortable, just tell them. they talk too much." dohoon speaks nonchalantly, glancing your way. "oh it's nothing, i really enjoy hearing them talking." you brush the thoughts off, convincing yourself it's nothing much.
"was it juyeon? i'll make sure you won't see him that often during the training"—"it's really nothing you don't need to worry" dohoon sigh, not speaking another word during the whole training session unless it's something you need to learn about.
-
you're now behind the counter, working with your best power to help the elderly couple in front of you. dohoon had finished helping you with ushering, teaching you how the walkie-talkie works, how to communicate with other coworkers, asking for support, and a lot of other things you should know as an usher now the last training of the day is to work with ticketing. fortunately, an elderly couple walked in today helping you learn more about it. usually, most younger people would've just bought their tickets through the online service provided, but elderly people wouldn't be very familiar with that. prefering the offline way instead.
after a while, dohoon's gaze drifts away from your work and onto your face. He notices the way your brow furrows in concentration, the slight pout of your lips as you focus on your work. his heart skips a beat as he realizes just how much he loves seeing you like this. 'she's so pretty- wait what, no! kim dohoon get yourslef togheter she's just a coworker!' dohoon ponder, sighing at his sudden thoughts.
"oh, im sorry. did i do something wrong?" you panic, thinking you've done something wrong to make him sigh like that. "oh um it's nothing. i was just thinking about something. you're doing good." dohoon silently screams inside of his head, cursing as he's distracted by your concentration in your work. he finds it rather attractive.
"i'll leave you for a moment, i got a call from manager kim." "okay! take care." dohoon left, using manager kim's request as an excuse to get away from the woman that made his heart pounding.
"noona! whoaa... you look like a professional!" anton walks into the counter, nudging you by the side. "ah, it's nothing. im new, after all." you rub your nape, fluster at the sudden compliment. "still better than me, you know ! when i started working part-time it took me 2 weeks to understand just ticketing." anton sighs, leaning towards the counter. "never again." you chuckle, patting his back.
"oh, a customer, you should tackle this noona! i'll be here when you need me." anton wink, stepping behind to let you train yourself.
you welcome the customer. the customer appears to be very, very rude, with the overwhelming demands you try your best not to cry right then and there. you look back, finding anton smiling 'need help?' he mouthed. you nod grateful at the help. "anton summer, can you help with this customers request and usher them?" you mouth a 'thank you' to him, receiving a smile in return.
-
"thank you for today dohoon summer, i'll see you again tomorrow."
"hmm. do you need a ride?" "it's fine, maybe next time." you smile at the offer, rejecting it politely. "alright then see you tomorrow y/n summer. text me when you arrive."

hi molly, you inspire me so much, thank you for being you. im about to move to a new city by myself for the first time and im scared. how did you build your life into one you loved? how do i meet people? i want so many things but sometimes they seem so far out of reach!! anyway, wishing you well and it always makes me happy to come visit your page and see you living life so fully :)
hello sweet anon!! sorry i am just getting to this, i was out of town for a few days and have been pretty offline in general lately. to be honest, i feel really really really underqualified to answer any questions about meeting people and making friends, as it is something that has never come easily to me, but i will do my best because i am SO excited for you!! moving somewhere new can be really healing!! i also want to gently remind you that social media-- even tumbr --is a highlight reel.
building my life into one i loved.
i think it's a few things.
it's a skill to find excitement about small things. delicious meals, nice weather, cute animals. being intentional about noticing and allowing yourself to feel excited about the little stuff does some kind of magic in your brain, and in appreciating your life in general. i am not naturally gifted at this whatsoever, but it's a muscle that takes practice to build, like anything.
i also dedicate a LOT of my free time to hobbies. right now it's mostly knitting, but often it's cooking and training my dog as well. watching movies and talking about them with people. spending time decorating the house. i'm very very very much a homebody, often to my detriment. it is monumentally difficult for me to take the first steps to leave the house to do things, even fun things, but once i do i am almost always better for it.
one sort of silly way i have helped to mitigate this, is that my girlfriend and i have started making seasonal bucket lists and magnetizing them onto our fridge. it turns it into sort of a game i guess, and it makes me feel accomplished to cross things off. we did really really well with ours this summer! we have three sections, small things (make smoothies, try a new dinner recipe, make a playlist), medium things (take the dog to the lake, see a movie in the theater, have drinks on a patio), and large things (go camping, go to pride, celebrate my birthday), etc. we just made our fall/winter one and i'm already sooooo excited for it!! it helped me to have a reason to leave the house while we were still getting our bearings in this new city.
i also have limited my social media time more recently on all apps except tumblr and pinterest to 15 minutes per day total. this helps me feel so much less frantic and it's easier for me to stay present than it used to be.
i also started taking medication! it's been a really big piece of the puzzle for me, personally. it helps my baseline be significantly more resilient and regulated and stable. it isn't a singular fix, but it opens up more space for that joy.
as far as meeting people goes, i will let you know when i figure it out LOL. im someone that needs a lot of quiet alone time to function and so i spend a lot of time with myself. i am still learning how to make the bridge from casual friends to a deeper and more meaningful friendship with the people ive met since moving here last august, and it's been a very clumsy imperfect process.
i'm sure this probably wasn't all that helpful haha it felt disjointed to write, and like i said, i am severely underqualified to give advice on this topic. but these are a handful of things i think have helped me in the last year, so hopefully there's something you can take from it!! wishing you all the luck and joy and wonder on your endeavors!! you can send me an ask anytime!! <33

Largest global IT outage in history did not affect Russia
A global technology outage caused by a software update from US cybersecurity company Crowdstrike caused chaos around the world on Friday, with flights suspended and healthcare, banking and ground transport systems facing major disruptions.
George Kurtz, president and CEO of Crowdstrike, said Friday morning that the company is “actively working with customers affected by a flaw discovered in one content update for Windows hosts” – a glitch that affected Microsoft users around the world. He also added:
“This is not a security incident or cyberattack. The issue has been identified, isolated, and a fix has been deployed. We refer customers to the support portal for the latest updates and will continue to provide complete and continuous updates on our website. We further recommend organisations ensure they’re communicating with CrowdStrike representatives through official channels. Our team is fully mobilised to ensure the security and stability of CrowdStrike customers.”
The Financial Times explained that Crowdstrike is “one of the world’s largest providers of “endpoint” security software, used by companies to monitor for security problems across a huge range of devices, from desktop PCs to checkout payment terminals.”
Troy Hunt, a security consultant, wrote on social media that “this will be the largest IT outage in history.” He also added:
“This is basically what we were all worried about with Y2K, except it’s actually happened this time.”
The impacts of the outage cascaded rapidly. Wired noted that “in the early hours of Friday, companies in Australia running Microsoft’s Windows operating system started reporting devices showing Blue Screens of Death (BSODs).” It continued:
“Shortly after, reports of disruptions started flooding in from around the world, including from the UK, India, Germany, the Netherlands, and the US: TV station Sky News went offline, and US airlines United, Delta, and American Airlines issued a “global ground stop” on all flights.”
The UK has been hit by a glitch
As The New York Times observed, the National Health Service in the United Kingdom “was crippled throughout the morning on Friday, as a number of hospitals and doctors offices lost access to their computer systems.”
Whitehall crisis officials were coordinating the response through the Cobra committee that deals with matters of national emergency or major disruption. Ministers were in touch with their sectors to tackle the fallout from the IT failure, and the transport secretary, Louise Haigh, said she was working “at pace with industry” after trains and flights were affected, The Guardian reported.
In the US, flights were grounded owing to communications problems that appear to be linked to the outage. American Airlines, Delta and United Airlines were among the carriers affected. Berlin airport temporarily halted all flights on Friday, while in Australia, Melbourne airport advised customers it was “experiencing a global technology issue which is impacting check-in procedures for some airlines.”
Global flight cancellations
There had been more than 1,000 flight cancellations worldwide so far due to the IT failure, according to the aviation analysis firm Cirium.
Long lines formed at airports in Asia as airlines lost access to check-in and booking services at a time when many travelers are heading away on summer vacations. News outlets in Australia — where telecommunications were severely affected — were pushed off air for hours. Hospitals and doctor’s offices had problems with their appointment systems, while banks in South Africa and New Zealand reported outages to their payment system or websites and apps.
At Hong Kong’s airport, Yvonne Lee, 24, said she only found out her flight to Phuket in Thailand was postponed to Saturday when she arrived at the airport, saying the way it was handled would “affect the image of Hong Kong’s airport very much.” Her already short five-day trip would now have to be further shortened, she said.
In India, Hong Kong and Thailand, many airlines were forced to manually check in passengers. An airline in Kenya was also reporting disruption.
Some athletes and spectators descending on Paris ahead of the Olympics were delayed as was the arrival of their uniforms and accreditations, but Games organisers said disruptions were limited and didn’t affect ticketing or the torch relay.
In Germany, Berlin-Brandenburg Airport halted flights for several hours due to difficulties in checking in passengers, while landings at Zurich airport were suspended and flights in Hungary, Italy and Turkey disrupted.
The Dutch carrier KLM said it had been “forced to suspend most” of its operations.
Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport warned that the outage was having a “major impact on flights” to and from the busy European hub. The chaotic morning coincided with one of the busiest days of the year for Schiphol.
Israel said its hospitals and post office operations were disrupted.
In South Africa, at least one major bank said it was experiencing nationwide service disruptions as customers reported they were unable to make payments using their bank cards in stores. The New Zealand banks ASB and Kiwibank said their services were down as well.
Shipping was disrupted too: A major container hub in the Baltic port of Gdansk, Poland, the Baltic Hub, said it was battling problems resulting from the global system outage.
Russia was unaffected by the outage
Meanwhile, Russia was less affected by this outage, mainly due to sanctions, import substitution strategy and technological sovereignty.
The global IT failure of devices running the Windows 10 operating system did not affect the operation of Russian airports and airlines, with flights running as scheduled. There are no problems with the information systems of Russian Railways.
“Rosatom” reported that the systems of the concern “Rosenergoatom” work on “import-independent software,” so there are no problems in operation. The disruption in Microsoft’s work will not affect the operation of Russia’s energy system in any way, the agency said.

Ben 10
Repost, cuz yes-
Bennett Auclair Tennyson
Bennett = I took it from Bennett from Genshin-
Auclair = literally using it again cuz I use it for my own Genshin OCs
Tennyson = I will no elaborate
Relationships:
His parents:
Absolutely in shambles, especially towards his mom. They care very so little about him, and left him with his grandfather for the whole summer with not much if not any words was exchanged as if trying to discard him. Ben felt tired that he was treated like he didn't exists, so he moved to his maternal grandparents in France. Now; why tho? Isn't his relationship with his mother is absolutely horrible? Wouldn't he want to go anywhere BUT anything related to his mom? Well, he recalled that Sandra doesn't have any good relationships with her own parents either, and she haven't been in contact with them ever since she moved out, so to Ben, it was the only choice for him if he wanted to get away from anywhere near his immediate family. But he still kept in touch with everyone except his father in his paternal side of his family. At some point, they would come to apologize to him, but because they said that they were afraid to face him after so long, something inside of him cracked, and he made sure that he had no contact whatsoever with either Carl or Sandra permanently.
Gwen:
Nothing much different from their canon relationship, except that since both have attained anodite powers, their bond is somewhat closer due to training together a lot. Sure, Ben is still somewhat significantly stronger than Gwen because he had the Omnitrix, but both had matured a lot throughout the years and learned to watch each other's backs and cover each of their blind spots in combat. They became more like siblings more than cousins. Since Ben unlocked his anodite powers much later compared to Gwen, he was mostly trained by her and sometimes Verdona if she visits.
The Omnitrix:
Ok, I know it's uncalled for, but bear with me here; although Ben was pleased of receiving his Omnitrix, he still felt like the Omnitrix (in his own perspective) was flawed, and yes, that includes about the time limit he had for each alien. The Omnitrix would go completely offline after time out, and it'll take too long to wait for another time in. It had been that one time where he got a time out in a middle of a fight, and he barely escaped death that day. Now, because he now had unlocked his anodite powers (through genetic means, not from Omnitrix), he could at least still be in combat without worrying if the god of death (or maybe Danny, but he knew one of Danny's jobs as a ghost king is to greet the soul, but then again, he's not so sure) would pick him up. The Omnitrix is somewhat if the situation is on the middle-spectrum; not used if it's really not necessary, but also cannot be used when it became too dangerous and have to rely on his anodite abilities. At some point, he wanted to gave up on the Omnitrix and give it to his grandpa Max, because he no longer see the use of it anymore, but Max insisted that Ben kept it, because no matter how flawed he think the Omnitrix is, it's still a powerful tool that only Ben could properly control without much casualties (this was also supported by Azmuth).
Rex:
Engaged to be married because I had became a hardcore fan of this ship. Met before Ben moved to France (2 years, Ben age 14 Rex age 16), Rex happened to visit Bellwood at the time (no, not for a mission), met at Mr. Smoothy, exchanged contact info after a couple of days, and stayed in touch ever since. After a certain incident that occurred in the 1st year of their friendship, he confessed, and they started a relationship, although mostly are long-distance, but they visit each other every once a while, and now on the point of being engaged. Rex was probably the most supportive person for Ben throughout his entire fiasco with his parents after Gwen.
Randy:
Pen pals since late elementary years, roughly after Ben attains the Omnitrix. It was somewhat Ben's form to escape the reality of his own home. After getting a phone, they would text and call for hours for a day. Randy was the one who gave the suggestion to Ben to move to France and live with his maternal grandparents, although Ben was hesitant to meet anyone within his mother's blood, but the 2nd option was to live with Randy and his family until Ben could figure something out (which thankfully for Ben, it didn't have to come to that, since he loved his maternal grandparents to bits). Randy was also the reason Ben are even willing to learn the language despite knowing it was his mother's language, but he decided to look past that altogether for the sake of himself of a better life where he was seen and wasn't feeling like he's nothing in his own walls.
Zak:
A fellow member of Central Shades. They got close before becoming the Shades themselves. Because they're the same age, it's much easier for them to talk to one another about many things and confide with each other. They rely on each other to hold each other back if one of them is gonna go rampant in some way. Imagine them as the Travaler-Paimon relationship.
His 14 Necrofriggian children:
Although somewhat surprised that the kids came back to earth, he was still very happy that he can be closer to his children, and the children themselves are happy to stay with their mother. Although, that doesn't mean that Ben had many worries if he'll be a good mother to the 14 moth kids he had, because he didn't have a good mother to make it an example out of. But he was supported by friends and family, and thankfully his maternal grandparents are very pleased to have met their great grandchildren, and was a huge help through and through, although that doesn't mean that Ben didn't feel guilty that he asked his elderly grandparents that should've been done with parenting have to take care of 14 alien children that they knew nothing about. Ben might've not been the best parent out there, especially since he was still a teen when they were born, but he had more than enough love for them, and the children love him also, and they knew he was trying his best. The children are quite pleased when Rex came into the picture, and Rex although not so good with children due no prior experience (neither does Ben actually, but Ben hangs around the children at the Plumbers Kindergarten often until his kids came back, so that's that), had made a special spot especially for them. Some had Caesar as their favorite uncle, some had Kevin, some also had Gwen as the favorite aunt.
Rosula:
Rosula is Ben's own handmade doll in his image in order to try out designs in mini version before copying it into a life-size design wearable for people (also as support for combat). The name "Rosula" came from Latin meaning rose, and are generally made for girls, but Ben used it for the doll because he branded and associated himself with roses, and the name of his fashion brand; "Omnique Rosula".
Personality:
Still retaining a few of his original characteristics; enjoys attention, sassy and sarcastic, and won't hesitate to get on someone's nerve (if they piss him off), though are toned down through the years. He doesn't care about anyone's societal statuses, and treated everyone the same, meaning if they piss him off, they'll also face the same treatment equally, more extreme if they really went too far.
Wouldn't hesitate to throw someone out the window with his own bare hands if anyone didn't abide to the rules he sets out. Sure, he had questionable methods when it comes to competitors and minor baddies alike, but to Ben, anything goes.
Battle Attire:
Hear me out, I know it's unusual, and I also had a variant version of this design on a later date, but hear me out; assassin-vibe (totally not taking from Yor Forger from SpyxFamily, totally not-). Like-
He had grown out his hair, so it was tied lower with a few strands pique to his shoulder and had a rose hair accessories. His hair would've had a dark pink ombre because of him being an anodite (this applies to Gwen too, but Gwen somehow manage to still keep it all hidden while Ben just kinda lets it be). If he's feeling extreme emotions, the ombre would glow. He had green streaks on his hair due to the effects of the Heart of Tandem.
I didn't draw the Omnitrix cuz I had ran out of motivation nor the energy, but the Omnitrix would be taken in the design of Omniverse one.
(Base: TheCherryMonsterLu (DeviantArt));
Tumblr media
Weapons:
Omnitrix (duh) (Master Control installed)
2 swords Spell book (written personally by Gwen)
Flashdisk
Abilities:
Basically all anodite powers
Other spell-casting (not as much as Gwen or Charmcaster)
Nature-related powers (via Heart of Tandem)
Other info:
Chilli fries remains as Ben's favorite food, same goes to smoothies as his favorite drink.
On a good day, he'll have tea with his grandparents.
Ben is one of the people in the group who had the most intimidating face due to his stoic face but his eyes still piercing through, even if he didn't intend to look intimidating which made people misunderstood him a lot and still feared him regardless.
Ben's work efficiency is relatively good, often making a single outfit within a few hours without break.
Blunt as hell, takes no nonsense at all.
Never really went back to Bellwood, he never had a reason to go back (family and friends visits him instead).
Even without going alien or any magical abilities, he's still be able to throw someone probably 2 yards away from where he was standing.
Naturally, frequent alien attacks are moved to France.
He's the type of person to be fussing over people who did something stupid, but he would also did the same thing for the sake of others when situation calls it.
The Omnitrix would take 20-30 minutes in time out until it times in again. That is until Azmuth decided to tweak some things on the Omnitrix so the watch wouldn't be so obsolete to Ben, until the Master Control had been installed in Ben's 18th birthday.
Ben's name in his France residency became 'Bennett De La Auclair', due to him living with his maternal grandparents in France. His legal name everywhere else is still Bennett Auclair Tennyson.
Some called Ben as; 'Monsieur Auclair', 'Designer Auclair', and 'The Sharp Rose'.
Still work with the Plumbers. They had a branch in France.
Rook was still Ben's partner in the workforce of Plumbers.
Held 2 swords on both hands instead of 1 sword. Sure, he may have the Omnitrix and the anodite powers, but he'll still do one-on-one combat with weapons when it's needed.
The aliens Ben transform to somehow able to perform his anodite talents without Ben ever needing to change back to human or anodite.
Ben's signature flower is Dawn Roses.

9-1-1 Rewatch
Season 3, Episode 18: What's next?
I remember the first time I watched this being very surprised to see Abby again. I guess I just thought her storyline would be forever unresolved, but I was wrong.
Chris and summer camp. If there was any doubt Buck is Chris' other dad, this conversation should eliminate them - poor guy's just as worried as Eddie.
Love the support for Hen - she is amazing.
Poor Athena, coming home to that fireplace. Even though I loved the Bobby/Michael bonding moment earlier, that must have been quite the shock for her.
Of course Athena doesn't see herself as a victim, was anyone surprised by this?
I appreciate the the entire crew of the 118 looks overwhelmed and shocked when they get to the accident scene.
I pains me when Abby gets upset and just screams out she's looking for her fiance and you can just see Buck take it let a punch to the gut. His poor brain just goes offline for a moment. But of course he just switches right into self sacrifice mode - of course I shall risk my life and go get your fiance, of course I will.
Train car stuck in the air and unstable - Bobby's got it. He brought all the cool tools.
Worst kind of team huddle - deciding who you can safe and who you can't.
Puppers! Hard at work, still cute.
The disgust in Eddie's voice when he finally tells Bobby why Buck is so determined to save Sam (It's Abby - like the sound of her name makes him sick) - very platonic. Just a bro worried about his friend never thinking of his own safety first.
Buck: How can I do this dangerous yet heroic thing?
Bobby: Why are you such a pushy little jerk?
Eddie: Everyone shut up!
And somehow Buck ends up outside of the train car. Wonder how Eddie managed to get that to happen (yes, I am giving Eddie credit that I'm not sure he deserves, but who else could have been the mediator?)
Oh, and Hen and Chim help a teenager with an internal decapitation! This episode has all the drama.
Eddie checks in on Buck - because he knows he's not really okay.
Glad Athena has support from a professional to help her process everything.
Michael's wonderful news! Smaller tumor and flirting with the hot doctor? Go Michael!
Buck looks so uncomfortable. Kinda proud of him for asking Abby the hard questions. He deserved better from their relationship, from her. It pains me how sad he still looks at the end, like he was somehow a problem, like he wasn't enough.
At least we get the silly party at the end.
Buck and Chris cuteness.
May asking Maddie for guidance/advice.
Karen and Hen roasting Michael about his 'fire pit'.
Buck and Eddie and the beads, which leads to the more important forehead touches and crosseyed Eddie.
I would just like to say as someone who also figured out they were likely pregnant because food smelled gross - Maddie's lightbulb moment is so real.

Moonshot has secured over $20 million in U.S. government contracts to protect schools, national infrastructure, and public figures from terrorism. This initiative will leverage that technology to deliver best-in-class national security solutions to elite athletes, officials, and sports organizations.
Moonshot’s technology is already being used by major sports institutions, including the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Moonshot is responsible for protecting all Team USA athletes from online threats on behalf of USOPC.
As digital threats become more sophisticated, from AI-generated deepfakes to coordinated doxxing, the sports industry is increasingly vulnerable to both reputational and physical harm. One in five players at major international sporting events, such as the Women’s World Cup, experience significant online abuse. Female athletes face disproportionate volumes of online threats, much like the national security space where Moonshot has found that 92% of women in public life experience abuse online.
This is not just about protecting the mental health and wellbeing of athletes. What happens online doesn’t stay online. This is even more pronounced in cases of stalking and fixated persons, where offline action is more likely to take place. Major events and venues are also increasingly targeted by terrorists—this summer, Taylor Swift canceled her Vienna concerts due to terrorist threats.
Moonshot’s origins in the national security sector make them uniquely primed to protect the sports industry from a wide array of threats. Moonshot have developed a unique AI model, specially trained in advanced detection and threat assessment across several harm types: threats to life, terrorism, stalking and fixated persons, intimate image abuse, AI-generated deepfakes, conspiracy theories, and abuse.
They also take action. They offer an end-to-end service—the same service deployed by the U.S. government to disrupt terror attacks—which will be deployed to proactively mitigate threats to the sports industry. Already in 2024, Moonshot has:
Taken action on over 200 cases of intimate image abuse against athletes, including deepfake pornography.
Escalated over 20 threats to life against athletes directly to law enforcement.
Removed impersonator accounts for commissioners, athletes, and agents, within 24 hours, by leveraging their unique partnerships with major platforms.
Achieved a platform removal rate for abuse content 5x higher than average.
Worked with law enforcement to disrupt one terrorist plot.
This critical initiative will address the growing dangers the sports industry faces from online threats and misinformation, and their impact on sport integrity and athlete mental health.
“Athletes and officials deserve the best-in-class technology to ensure their safety. We deploy the same technology to protect elite athletes as we do to protect the nation on behalf of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security,” said Vidhya Ramalingam, CEO of Moonshot. “Through our partnership with CTH Advisors we are bringing these critical tools into the sporting world, just in time—as the online threat environment becomes even more complex.”
Moonshot will provide the sports industry with:
Threat Monitoring: Utilizing Moonshot’s proven technologies to monitor online abuse, criminal activity, and threats of offline violence across a wide range of digital platforms.
Threat Mitigation: Developing a holistic strategy to address and proactively mitigate those threats online. As part of that strategy, Moonshot will take action through its unique partnerships with social media platforms.
Digital Security Training: Equipping athletes, teams, and sports executives with the knowledge and tools to minimize their exposure to digital threats through comprehensive digital security training.
“Like many others, we are dismayed by the constant news of cyberbullying, doxxing, and other threats against organizations and athletes. CTH Advisors is thrilled to work alongside Moonshot on this critical initiative,” said Andy Brusman, CEO of CTH Advisors. “Together, we aim to provide the sports industry with a comprehensive framework to tackle the digital challenges of today, ensuring a safer and more resilient environment for athletes and fans alike.”
This collaboration will help sports organizations, leagues, and clubs better navigate the rapidly changing digital landscape while maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding their most important assets—their athletes. With Moonshot’s expertise in protecting high-profile events such as the Paris 2024 Summer Games and organizations like the SEC, along with CTH Advisors’ extensive experience advising leading sports businesses, this partnership is set to redefine how the sports industry approaches security and growth.

20 Must-Know Facts to Harness Brain Plasticity, Improve Brain Health and Delay Alzheimer's Symptoms
Given that June is Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month, let's discuss click here to learn more these 20 important facts about brain health. You may find some good ideas for the summer!
There is more than one "It" in "Use It or Lose It" -- our performance depends on a variety of brain functions and cognitive skills, not just one (be it "attention" or "memory" or any other).
Genes do not determine the fate of our brains. Thanks to lifelong neuroplasticity, our lifestyles are as important as our genes-if not more- in how our brains grow and our minds evolve.
We need to pay more attention to Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) to verify whether any intervention causes an effect, and under what specific circumstances -- The media is doing quite a poor job, in our view, to educate the general public.
The largest recent RCT (the ongoing FINGER study) and a 2010 systematic review of all relevant RCTs provide useful guidance: First, they report a protective effect of social and cognitive engagement, physical exercise, and the Mediterranean diet. Second, the average benefits at the population level appear quite limited, so we need to have realistic expectations.
Physical exercise and increased fitness promote brain functioning through a variety of mechanisms, including increased brain volume, blood supply and growth hormone levels.
Cardiovascular exercise that gets the heart beating - from walking to skiing, tennis and basketball - seems to bring the greatest brain benefits; thirty to sixty minutes per day, three days a week, seems to be the best regimen.
Mental stimulation strengthens the connections between neurons (synapses), improving neuron survival and cognitive functioning. Mental stimulation also helps build cognitive reserve, helping the brain better cope with potential AD pathology.
Routine activities do not challenge the brain. Keeping up the challenge requires going to the next level of difficulty, or trying something new.
The only leisure activity that has been associated with reduced cognitive function is watching television.
Brain training can work, putting the "cells that fire together wire together" to good use, but available RCTs suggest some key conditions must be met to transfer to real-life benefits.
The brain needs a lot of energy: It extracts approximately 50% of the oxygen and 10% of the glucose from arterial blood.
The Mediterranean Diet, supplemented with olive oil and nuts, is associated with decreased risk of cognitive decline.
Moderate doses of caffeine increase alertness but there is no clear sustained lifetime health benefit (or harm).
Light-to-moderate alcohol consumption seems to lower the risk of dementia.
Taking "brain supplements" of any kind does not seem to boost cognitive function or reduce risks of cognitive decline or dementia, unless directed to address an identified deficiency.
The larger and the more complex a person's social network is, the bigger the amygdala (which plays a major role in our behavior and motivation). There is no clear evidence to date on whether "online" relationships are fundamentally different from "offline" ones in this regard.
Chronic stress reduces and can even inhibit neurogenesis. Memory and general mental flexibility are impaired by chronic stress.
There is increasing evidence that meditation and biofeedback can successfully teach users to self-regulate physiological stress responses.
We will not have a Magic Pill or General Solution to solve all our cognitive challenges any time soon, so a holistic multi-pronged approach is recommended, centered around nutrition, stress management, and both physical and mental exercise.
Having said that, no size fits all, so it's critical to understand and address individual needs, priorities and starting points.

Widespread technology outage disrupts flights, banks, media outlets and companies around the world (AP) A widespread Microsoft outage was disrupting flights, banks, media outlets and companies around the world on Friday. Escalating disruptions continued hours after the technology company said it was gradually fixing an issue affecting access to Microsoft 365 apps and services. The website DownDectector, which tracks user-reported internet outages, recorded growing outages in services at Visa, ADT security and Amazon, and airlines including American Airlines and Delta. News outlets in Australia reported that airlines, telecommunications providers and banks, and media broadcasters were disrupted as they lost access to computer systems. Some New Zealand banks said they were also offline. In the U.S., the FAA said the airlines United, American, Delta and Allegiant had all been grounded. Airlines, railways and television stations in the United Kingdom were being disrupted by the computer issues. The budget airline Ryanair, train operators TransPennine Express and Govia Thameslink Railway, as well as broadcaster Sky News are among those affected. Shoppers were unable to pay at some supermarkets and stores due to payment system outages.
Biden tests positive for Covid (NYT) President Biden tested positive for Covid on Wednesday, forcing him to cancel a campaign event in Las Vegas and likely sidelining him for days following the conclusion of former President Donald J. Trump’s nominating convention on Thursday. The illness, which the president’s doctor said had produced only mild symptoms so far, was diagnosed even as the Democratic revolt over his candidacy got louder, with more of Mr. Biden’s allies and supporters calling on him to drop out of the race, citing concerns about his ability to defeat Mr. Trump. Having Covid is all but certain to complicate the president’s ability to answer his critics, many of whom have said they want him to show that he still has the vigor and energy to prosecute the case against Mr. Trump in campaign rallies, interviews and other events.
Heat and city streets (NYT) We usually talk about summertime heat in terms of how hot the air is, but there’s another metric that matters: the temperatures of roads, sidewalks, buildings, parking lots and other outdoor surfaces. Hot surfaces can make the places people live and work more dangerous, and can increase the risk of contact burns. Around noon on July 10, huge parts of Phoenix were 120 degrees Fahrenheit, about 49 Celsius, or hotter to the touch. Had you been unlucky or unwise enough to actually touch it with bare skin, it could have caused injury within minutes. On the city’s desert fringes, in territory governed by Native American nations, the land was even hotter, 150 degrees or more. So far this summer, the Arizona Burn Center, which serves Phoenix and the broader Southwest, has admitted 65 people for severe heat-related burns, according to Dr. Kevin Foster, the center’s director. Six of these people died from their injuries. Last summer, the center recorded 14 such deaths. Yet even that figure is small compared with the 645 heat-related deaths that were identified last year in Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix. That was the highest number on record for the county.
The uncertainty that plagues life in crisis-ridden Venezuela (AP) Victoria Estevez finally met someone who saw past her shyness, and after a few months, they were calling it a relationship. And then came heartbreak. “Remember I had told you that I have a brother in the Dominican Republic? Well, I am going to leave the country, too,” Estevez, 20, recalled reading in an early March WhatsApp message from her new boyfriend. He was the second guy in a row to blindside her with imminent plans to emigrate. Nothing, not even love, has been spared the uncertainty that plagues everyday life in crisis-ridden Venezuela, which has seen several million people leave in the last decade or so. As a presidential election looms later this month along with questions about Venezuela’s future, many more are considering emigrating, wreaking havoc on the country’s economy, its politics and its dating scene. Young people are debating online and among themselves whether it’s worth it to start a relationship—or whether to end one. Others are wondering when it is too soon or too late to ask the crucial question: Will you leave the country?
Flying Ants Emerge Across the U.K. (NYT) “Flying ant day” in Britain is all about sex. Picture it: millions of tiny little winged ants soaring into the sky in a ritualistic orgy under the hot sun. For about six weeks at the height of summer in Britain, typically between mid-July through the early days of September, winged ants emerge from their colonies and ascend to the air to find a mate. They are everywhere. And, despite the name, it’s not just one day, but many days. “There’s often a day where it seems when you look on social media and across the newspapers, that ants have flown and it becomes this ‘flying ant day,’” said Adam Hart, a professor of science communication at the University of Gloucestershire, more than 100 miles northwest of London. “We have lots of such days,” he noted. “But generally, you end up with one that it seems to attract a lot of attention.” The mating action has gained notoriety partly because the insects become nuisances to anyone outdoors at the wrong time. In 2017, they invaded Wimbledon, flying onto the court, bags and players.
France’s Approach to the Olympics: Food, With a Side of Games (NYT) A wing of the Eiffel Tower has been cleared out to make way for a brand-new restaurant called Gustave 24. A fully built commercial kitchen is set to be airlifted into the Palais de Tokyo, a contemporary art museum on the Right Bank. Open-air brasseries will soon be erected on two bridges across the Seine. Oh, and there’s also some kind of athletic event about to take place. As it prepares to host the Olympics, France—a nation already sitting on an elaborate culinary infrastructure—is creating a from-scratch collection of pop-up restaurants and dining experiences on a scale far beyond the offerings at any past Games. Some 80 temporary restaurants are being set up in Paris and other locales around the country where competitions will be staged. They will serve an average of 30,000 diners a day, each offering a different menu and format. And they’ll offer visitors a chance to experience the Olympics as dinner theater. At Versailles, they can feast on lobster ravioli in the gardens while watching equestrian events. In the Eiffel Tower, they’ll be able to enjoy moules frites and live music while observing beach volleyball down below. And when competitions aren’t taking place, these restaurants will host speeches from past Olympic winners, and virtual-reality experiences that simulate participating in a swimming race or standing on a podium to receive a medal.
Russia’s vast stocks of Soviet-era weapons are running out (Economist) For a long time, it seemed that a war of attrition between Ukraine and a Russia with five times its population could only end one way. But the much-vaunted Russian offensive against Kharkiv in the north that started in May is fizzling out. The key issue is not manpower. Russia seems able to go on finding another 25,000 or so soldiers each month to maintain numbers at the front of about 470,000, although it is paying more for them. Production of missiles to strike Ukrainian infrastructure is also surging. But for all the talk about Russia having become a war economy, with some 8 per cent of its GDP devoted to military spending, it is able to replace its staggering losses of tanks, armoured infantry vehicles and artillery only by drawing out of storage and refurbishing stocks built up in the Soviet era. At current rates of attrition, Russian tank and infantry vehicle refurbishment from storage will have reached a “critical point of exhaustion” by the second half of next year.
Ukraine’s Devastated Energy Grid Battles a New Foe: A Sizzling Heat Wave (NYT) For months, Ukraine’s electricity grid has faced repeated Russian missile and drone attacks that have knocked out power plants and gutted substations. Now, it is contending with another, more unexpected threat: a sizzling heat wave. Most of the country is experiencing unusually hot summer weather, with temperatures reaching 104 degrees Fahrenheit, or 40 degrees Celsius. It has strained an already hobbled grid, as residents turn on air-conditioners and food businesses use more electricity to cool products. Ukrenergo, the country’s national electricity operator, said Monday that current consumption largely exceeds Ukraine’s generating capacity. To prevent a collapse of the grid, the authorities have imposed widespread rolling blackouts across the country. In Kyiv, the capital, most buildings are now without power for at least 10 hours a day, including during long periods in the daytime. The roar of generators installed by cafes and restaurants has become a soundtrack of the Ukrainian capital since the heat wave began last week.
China suspends nuclear talks with the U.S. over Taiwan arms sales (Washington Post) China on Wednesday said it has suspended arms control and nuclear nonproliferation talks with Washington, blaming the diplomatic stall on ongoing U.S. arms sales to Taiwan. The freeze comes just eight months after the two countries held their first formal dialogue on the matter in almost five years. The Chinese announcement comes as U.S. policy on Taiwan hangs in the balance ahead of the November election. Former president and Republican nominee Donald Trump on Tuesday called into question Washington’s long-standing policy of arming Taiwan, the democratic, autonomous island that China claims as its territory. In an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek, Trump accused the “immensely wealthy” Taiwan of swindling America out of its role in computer chips manufacturing, and suggested that it ought to “pay us for defense.” Taiwan has “done nothing” for America, Trump said.
Pentagon ends troubled Gaza pier mission, shifts focus to Israeli port (Washington Post) The Pentagon on Wednesday declared an end to its sea-based humanitarian mission off Gaza, an effort that enabled delivery of millions of pounds of food to the war-ravaged territory even as the floating pier built by U.S. troops faced near-constant setbacks and ultimately fell short of expectations. The operation will shift to the Israeli port in Ashdod, north of Gaza, where U.S. personnel will continue to facilitate the movement of aid arriving on ships dispatched from Cyprus. It remains to be seen whether the new operation at Ashdod will be more effective than the floating pier, which was sidelined repeatedly, or quell concerns among U.S. officials and aid groups who have urged Israel to loosen its chokehold on what may enter Gaza by land.
War in Gaza takes a mental health toll (AP) Nabila Hamada gave birth to twin boys in Gaza early in the war, in a hospital reeking of decaying bodies and full of displaced people. When Israeli forces threatened the hospital, she and her husband fled with only one of the babies, as medical staff said the other was too weak to leave. Soon after, Israeli forces raided the hospital, Gaza’s largest, and she never saw the boy again. The trauma of losing one twin left the 40-year-old Hamada so scared of losing the other that she became frozen and ill-equipped to deal with the daily burden of survival. She is among hundreds of thousands of Palestinians struggling with mental health after nine months of war. The trauma has been relentless. They have endured the killing of family and friends in Israeli bombardments. They have been wounded or disfigured. They have huddled in homes or tents as fighting raged and fled again and again, with no safe place to recover. Anxiety, fear, depression, sleep deprivation, anger and aggression are prevalent, experts and practitioners told The Associated Press. Children are most vulnerable, especially because many parents can barely hold themselves together. “There are about 1.2 million children who are in need of mental health and psychosocial support. This basically means nearly all Gaza’s children,” said Ulrike Julia Wendt, emergency child protection coordinator with the International Rescue Committee.

wolfacejoeyy Drops New Summer Fling Anthems “finsta/bia”
Tumblr media
The weather is heating up and so is wolfacejoeyy as he sparks some summertime sexiness on his latest double single release, “finsta/bia.” Previewed on his socials and on Twitch streamer Tylil's livestream, the opening track “finsta” is a fun play on the way lovers socialize on and offline. Paired with melodic twinkly triangle percussions and a distorted uptempo bass beat, “finsta” is evocative of an infatuation with a love interest that is growing with rapid speed and intensity but its relevance revolves around both partners showing their true selves online,  “Put me in a picture, I wanna know the real you/ Can I get your finsta,” Joeyy raps. Ultimately the track is a surface-level romance but joeyy’s silky voice and nostalgic melodies propel the listener to bask in the excitement that comes with peeling back the layers of a new partner, no matter how serious the situation may be.
Similarly, the accompanying single “bia” is a bouncy dedication to a favorite lover. Named after the “Whole Lotta Money” rapper, the single features joeyy flatteringly rapping about his favorite lady and her best qualities. He utilizes synth-driven horns, bumping percussions synonymous with Jersey Club, and softer, fluttering harp chords which express the fondness he has for his crush.
“finsta/bia” are Wolfacejoeyy’s latest singles following the release of his debut album Valentino. The album is home to the buzzing single "cake," which went viral on TikTok, along with acclaimed singles like the heartfelt "don't be dishonest," and "I Know," produced by WhereIs22. "cake" has quickly become a fan-favorite, generating over 160K combined views across social platforms before its official release, earning co-signs from stars like Sexyy Red, Rubi Rose, Veeze, and Kaliii on social media. The song has inspired more than 52.9k video creations on TikTok. The flirty music video for "cake" recently surpassed 4.8 million views on YouTube, becoming joeyy's most-viewed video to date. Featuring additional production from Synthetic and many others, Valentino is available now on all platforms.
With a new project under his belt, joeyy is aiming to improve upon his breakout 2023, in which he partnered with Whereis22, on the acclaimed EP 22Joeyy. The album featured the single “weekend” ft. Cash Cobain & Chow Lee, acclaimed by Pitchfork, and additional guest spots from SoFaygo and B-Lovee. Joeyy discussed the project in an interview with BET, and a profile in HYPEBEAST that came out earlier this year, and his fiery 2023 inspired Complex to place him on their list of Rappers to Watch in 2024. After the success of 22Joeyy, joeyy kept the train rolling, opening for Eem Triplin on tour, throwing a headlining show earlier this year at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, and delivering a standout performance at Rolling Loud California 2024. With over 1 million streams per week on his catalog and recently being revealed as an opener for 4batz’s upcoming “Thank You, Jada Tour,” joeyy rolls into Spring 2024 with a head of steam.

AI predicts flooding - Technology Org

AI predicts flooding - Technology Org
The weather of the future will be significantly wetter. Artificial intelligence can be used to develop early warning systems that can buy time to mitigate flood damage and to plan good systems to divert water away.
Much of Jammerbugt Municipality consists of low-lying areas that are at risk of flooding in heavy and persistent rain. Pictured are flooded areas along the Ryå river. Image credit: Jammerbugt Municipality
Susanne Nielsen realizes that it is probably only a matter of time before her parents’ summer house at Slettestrand in North Jutland is affected by flooding. Because under the house, which is just 400 meters from the bay of Jammerbugt in the municipality of the same name, the groundwater level is now often so high that there is a risk that large amounts of rain will not be able to seep away, but rather enter the house.
“It’s a concern we have if we get a lot of rain,” she admits.
To give residents and decision-makers the best chance to protect themselves against flooding in the area, researchers from DTU have helped Jammerbugt Municipality develop an early warning tool. It can provide 48 hours’ notice of local flooding along rivers, streams, and coastal areas in the municipality. It is the first of its kind to provide local flood warnings.
“It will give us time to react if necessary, so it will be a huge help,” says Susanne Nielsen from her home in Aalborg – some 40 kilometres away from the summer house which she looks after for her parents, who live in Norway.
Complex nature, complex calculations
The tool – a so-called ‘wet index’ – is based on artificial intelligence trained on freely available data on dynamics that influence the risk of flooding. Data comes from satellite imagery and weather forecasts, as well as information on ground and seawater levels and the topography of the landscape.
However, the movement and accumulation of water in open landscapes are difficult to calculate because many parameters affect how water moves and accumulates. To handle this complexity, artificial intelligence was used in the development of the model behind the wet index.
By utilizing specific design principles in the construction of the model and feeding it with carefully selected data, the researchers have incorporated an understanding of water movement, distribution, and interaction with the surrounding environment, according to Roland Löwe. He is one of the developers of the wet index and an Associate Professor at DTU specializing in how water behaves.
Both ups and downs
Jammerbugt Municipality tested the tool in 2023. The results show better than expected predictions for the wet spring months. However, during the summer period, when Denmark was almost drought-stricken, the tool incorrectly predicted flooding in the same areas that had been flooded during the rainy spring.
The incorrect predictions were due to the tool being trained with too little data from the summer months. This is because satellites cannot register water beneath vegetation and given that fx. fields are covered by plants during the summer, the data set at that time of the year is smaller.
“An early warning needs to be relatively accurate for citizens to trust the system. This is why we chose to do a trial run, where only selected citizens have checked it regularly – and where we as a municipality had drones in the air to validate predictions,” explains Project Manager Heidi Egeberg Johansen from Jammerbugt Municipality.
However, she emphasizes that the overall experience is that the project partners have created a tool with great potential. Therefore, the municipality is seeking funding to re-train and possibly adjust the model, which will be offline until that work has taken place, says Heidi Egeberg Johansen.
Faster calculations and decisions
Accurate calculations are crucial – not only when citizens and emergency services need to get water tubes and sandbags ready, but also when, for example, municipalities need to decide how best to expand their drainage systems to handle the wetter climate of the future. Traditional simulations can easily produce rock-solid calculations of systems’ ability to divert water under different scenarios – but according to Roland Löwe, they take forever to complete.
“In practice, this means that every time planners need to analyze something, they have to hire consultants who disappear into a box for two months before they can come back with results. And that’s just too inconvenient,” he explains.
To shorten the computation time while maintaining the physical accuracy, the researchers rely on scientific machine learning, a branch of artificial intelligence that combines two different approaches.
Two approaches in one
One is machine learning, where a computer figures out how to analyze a large amount of data and makes predictions without having a theoretical understanding of the phenomena it is analysing. The spam filter in your email or the facial recognition feature in your phone are examples of machine learning.
The other approach is scientific computing, which can, for example, simulate physical processes, which in this case is how water moves through a given space under the influence of several factors.
“The advantage of combining the two approaches is that you get machine learning models that have a built-in understanding of how the system is expected to behave. This helps to ensure that the models generate fast predictions that make sense physically and aren’t all over the place, which can be a problem with machine learning models,” says Roland Löwe.
In a project where the professor, along with startup WaterZerv and Associate Professor at DTU Allan Peter Engsig-Karup, used scientific machine learning to predict the movement of water through drainage systems, they managed to perform calculations 100 times faster than with traditional models.
“So instead of outsourcing a project, you can gather the relevant decision-makers in a room to run the models live and get the results more or less immediately. You can then sit down and try out different options to find the best solution for a given situation,” he explains.

Use market research to conduct analysis
Tumblr media
During her training, people who saw HE Tuber  her figure and her training photos expressed envy and the desire to exercise together, indicating that people around her have such needs and can attract a group of active core users during the cold start stage.
3) There is no need to make a profit, the project itself already has value.
This process is beneficial to both her and myself, and can earn profits, but even if it fails, it can still maintain social relationships and give the partner the motivation to persist in the long term in terms of fitness.
WHO
Host: The subject is mainly responsible for content output, and I am responsible for doing miscellaneous tasks.
Participants: Social media users, friends and family of the subject.
1.4 WHEN
Start time: It can be anytime, preferably in summer. You can use taking photos to stimulate users to exercise.
1.5 WHERE
Diversion places: Xiaohongshu, WeChat.
Where daily activities take place: WeChat group.
Offline location: Guangzhou.
1.6 HOW
If you want to make this happen, the core point lies in "stable and continuous user links."
Therefore, when executing the plan, you need to ensure:
1) Having a certain proportion of core users forms the core of the community.
Ensure that you can reach your peers and form core seed users who can actively participate in activities in the community and steadily output content.
2) Maintain high-frequency and effective social interaction.
Creating social currency is the key to keeping the community active after gathering users. According to the concepts in economics of social media, social currency in community operations can be built around a sense of belonging, practicality, knowledge and information, etc.
3) Form effective links between users and generate social compound interest.
Currently, the weight loss/fitness APPs on the market all have community-related functions. However, since they are socializing with strangers, and it is difficult for the same strangers to form high-frequency interactions to convert mature people into socializing, it is difficult to generate large-scale social interactions in this area. value.
Therefore, private communities need to make full use of the "small circle" feature to stimulate links between users to form a stable and active community.
Based on the above three points, the implementation of the plan can be divided into three major steps:
① Content design.
Driving content and active content.
Create traffic-draining content around the subject's weight loss life and Xiaohongshu hot spots, which will be used to attract users during the cold start phase and also used for topic discussions for daily community maintenance. In order to reduce production costs, the content format is mainly text and pictures.
② Community building.
Establish group rules: maintain the basic experience of group users and avoid devastating blows caused by advertisements and violations.
Design the group entry process: It is mainly used to screen users. Due to the need to maintain high-frequency and effective social interaction, it is necessary to gather groups with similar characteristics and preferences. For example, there cannot be men in the group, and the group is all groups whose current figures need to be improved.
Group activity rules: If you want to maintain a high degree of group activity, you can set up activity rules. For users who have not been active for a long time, implement the "kick out" group chat plan to ensure that the group is highly active. However, this solution requires a certain level of active users, and users need to be continuously introduced, otherwise it will be easy to get fewer and fewer users.
③ Be active.
Focusing on the topic of weight loss, design activities that allow users to participate in and continue to be active every day, thereby creating a sense of belonging to the community.
like:
Sign in and clock in.
The most important thing about losing weight is persistence. It is important to exercise as planned or control your diet every day. This process can also be shared in the group to monitor yourself on the one hand and remind others on the other.
Everyday topics.
Exercise/diet topics: Share the latest exercise methods and meal combinations learned, and learn from each other’s advanced experiences.
Goal motivation: Perseverance requires motivation, and setting goals is used to motivate yourself to persist for a long time. Share your goals and encourage each other.
Periodic activities.
Result acceptance & mutual evaluation: When certain results are achieved, positive feedback can be obtained from each other, thus entering the next positive cycle of persistence.
1.7 HOW MUCH
Cost: The target and I are both migrant workers who have to repay loans. The capital cost will definitely be zero, but it will take time and cost to prepare and operate related content.
