Im doing a lot of thinking abt why roleplaying feels different/less natural for me in beastlife s4 in comparison to s3, and i think it’s because there’s ways i know i should be feeling (based on the perception of my character— when i was fresh out of s2 nobody knew enough about my guy to have opinions) vs how i am feeling. I’m catching myself thinking, “it wouldn’t make sense for my character to [blank],” and it’s like… what do i mean by that. what do i mean that this feeling im having in-session “wouldnt make sense for my character” to feel? It might be surprising to other beasts who know me for one thing and expect consistency, i guess?? but in s3 i just acted on feelings and then shit happened. what. why am i trying to enforce a character that does not exist when the strength of mcrp lies in its improvisational nature. I didn’t write this guy on purpose, why am i trying to write him now

This is gonna be much more niche than anything I've written beyond my dds jaytim but I hope you enjoy

Jason lazily clicks through the dialogue box for the sidequest he's picked up waiting for Lian. Most of the words are flavor text only, and he's already read them twice before and truly A Realm Reborn sidequests are useless beyond wasting time while he waits for his charge. He walks through Limsa, surprised at how little lag there is compared to the other servers. But Lian didn't want to be carried through the game, even by what's ostensibly her babysitter because Roy isn't a fan of mmo's and he knows that Jason is a loser with two separate character that have every single class maxed level (one as his actual main and the other he uses for the Bat group because he's a sucker that decided to offer his healing skills to make up for Dick's...lack of them) so setting up someone he trusts to make sure she follows the bare minimum internet safety standards was a no brainer. (No, it didn't matter that Jason himself had been terrible at them at her age and that being legally dead twice over was what protected him the most.) So now he's playing in Dynamis like a newbie and suffering every mentor's terrible advice like he isn't normally in the top 5 in every Ultimate since UCoB. Jason hears a ping, and a text from Roy that Lian was turning on her computer to play. It is a little lame to be playing with someone fourteen years younger than him? Not, really. Does it bring back too many memories of Babs babysitting him in Vana'diel? Oh for sure.

in terms of sequel, i think one for "she's the sweet to your savoury." it would either be similar premise but with chloe helping jake out with an anniversary thing or we switch perspectives and go to rich and brooke

okay you people dont get it at all. fries and chips are NOT the same. cookies and biscuits are NOT the same. (however american "biscuits" ARE just fucking scones. those are the same. theyre savory scones.)

fries vs. chips is easy to explain. fries are thinner chips are thicker & medium-width ones can go either way. some dishes you have to call them chips with (e.g. fish & chips) but some it doesnt matter which you call them (e.g. burger w/ fries & beef burger w/ chips)
