Im doing a lot of thinking abt why roleplaying feels different/less natural for me in beastlife s4 in comparison to s3, and i think it’s because there’s ways i know i should be feeling (based on the perception of my character— when i was fresh out of s2 nobody knew enough about my guy to have opinions) vs how i am feeling. I’m catching myself thinking, “it wouldn’t make sense for my character to [blank],” and it’s like… what do i mean by that. what do i mean that this feeling im having in-session “wouldnt make sense for my character” to feel? It might be surprising to other beasts who know me for one thing and expect consistency, i guess?? but in s3 i just acted on feelings and then shit happened. what. why am i trying to enforce a character that does not exist when the strength of mcrp lies in its improvisational nature. I didn’t write this guy on purpose, why am i trying to write him now

Sooo, according to the internet, lebanese food is spicy (as in it has many species) but not hot (as in it doesn’t have chilli oil or chilli peppers). I had to check bc the one lebanese restauran in my town is more of a fusion cuisine so i’m not sure how authentic the food is ahahaha. Anyway, if you like rice, warak arish is my favourite thing; it’s p much grape leaves rolls stuffed with rice, meat, and lemon juice. There is also fatayer (a little bit like piroski, in my opinion), falafel, and fried kibbeh. But you can always look up the food and recipes before ordering to see it you want to try them or not!
For the others, i really don’t know so i hope someone else chimes in with their opinion!!
Warak arish sounds a lot like Georgian dolma which I like so it’s definitely on the list. Usually I look up the menus ahead but these are more like mom-n-pop restaurants where menus expect you to know what’s what already. I like falafel but I haven’t had kibbeh or fatayer so I’ll see if they have those. Really I just need a few dish names to walk in and make an order. Thanks for the suggestions :)

neil “pathological liar” josten and andrew “eidetic memory” minyard make for theoretically the most implausible ship and that’s what makes them the best. “i am alive because i am forgettable so the people hunting me don’t catch me” vs “i never forget anything”

popping back in for a couple seconds, because I am obsessed with these two throwaway characters from the last new year's bit. I need to know more about this fancy overdramatic theater kid and IT nerdling's more-likely-than-you'd-think friendship.
(brb, building an entire mental headcanon around these random characters who will literally never appear again. they have a whole sitcom together...in my heart.)

Its 2024 but Im gonna say this again that if Merlin had been a 'happy' show/ending and his magic hadn't been a secret and he got to fight side by side with Arthur for seasons and there hadn't been a tragic ending that fitted in with the actual myth
then I wouldn't be keeping a blog well over a decade later processing the emotions and neverending imagination and heartbreak of it all
and there would have been zero conflict in the show

Man “Battle Nexus: New York” was a great episode but I do have one major gripe with it.
Like. Raph being paired up with Ghostbear? Makes sense. Works great. Works amazing, even.
Mikey being paired up with Meatsweats? Yeah that checks out!!
Donnie getting…Hypno…? I mean. I guess Donnie doesn’t like magic so it kindaaa works but Kendra would have been a much better choice to me personally. Maybe Big Mama didn’t wanna include a human or something…
And Leo getting…uh…one of the Sando Brothers???? Of all villains? Nah let’s be real, his main villain is more Big Mama herself (or Leo could be considered his own worst enemy lmao-). Hell Hypno would have probably worked better here considering their shared love for magic tricks and stuff, but Carl Sando????

On reflection I'm realizing that a really prominent thematic throughline in Invincible, indeed, in a lot of Kirkman's writing, involves taking a character who's trying to Make A Hard Utilitarian Choice and going, hey, hang on, did you actually need to do that or are you just chasing the high of being Adrian Veidt. Were you actually in between a rock and a hard place here or did you do something expedient and thoughtless to try and resolve the situation at hand, which you now feel the need to dress up after the fact in the language of self-sacrifice even though it's some other guy's arterial spray all over your nice outfit. Are you actually in this for the omelet or do you just really enjoy the tactile sensation of breaking eggs
