I don't think we talk enough about how a few years ago the state of Hawaii lived through the first 15 minutes of World War 3 when someone accidentally activated the emergency alert system for a nuclear strike.
How many bad decisions do you think must have been made in that time? Cars trashing stuff as people flee to safety, awkward confessions, regrettable sexual encounters.
Maybe I'm making some assumptions about how people behave in that scenario, but I just figured we'd hear about more (heh) fallout from an event like this.

This is not the first example of Russia acquiring North Korean weapons and other materiel. The North Koreans have previously emerged as a particularly important source of artillery ammunition for Russian forces(..)
P.S. Oops! It seems that Trump and a gang of corrupt Republicans are working for the North Korean communists and Iranian jihadists by sabotaging and obstructing the supply of modern weapons to the Ukrainian army, thus posing a serious threat to the common security and well-being of the United States and Western democracies...

Tweek is sitting upright in Ink’s bed, trembling violently, and he pulls the edge of the comfort up to his chin.  “No, I’m not,” he insists through clenched teeth.  His eyes, wide and bloodshot, dart around Ink’s modest apartment, landing on doors, curtains, any crack or crevice where he might observe the glow from a nuclear blast.
“I’m not safe anywhere.  You heard what they did to Canada, right?”  Just when he was starting to get over the threats from North Korea, the U.S. President bombed their own next-door neighbors.  It was way on the opposite coast, nowhere near Colorado, but still too close Tweek’s personal comfort.  “That could happen to any of us!  The President’s fucking in—”  He shoves a wad of the comforter in his mouth and looks at Ink with alarm.  Once the relief of catching his mistake sets in, he releases the blanket and tugs it around his shoulders.  “No, no, I can’t say that,” he says, shaking his head.  “It’s too risky.”
Being on the second floor is doing nothing for his nerves.  They’re exposed up here, and if World War III starts within the hour, they will never escape the fire and radiation.  “This place doesn’t have a basement, does it?” he asks desperately.  “We should be in a basement.  Maybe I’d be safer at home.  We’ve got a basement at home.”

North Korea tests missile with range long enough to strike US
North Korea claimed to have successfully test-fired its new Hwasong-19 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), according to Korean media.
Hwasong-19 reached an altitude of 7,687.5 kilometres (4,776.8 miles) and flew 1,001.2 kilometres in 5,156 seconds, or 85 minutes and 56 seconds. The missile set a record for both altitude and flight time among North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missile tests.
Estimates show that Hwasong-19 can reach a distance of more than 15,000 kilometres when launched on a standard trajectory. This is enough to target the entire US mainland.
The test was conducted at around 7:10 a.m. Thursday in Pyongyang on an elevated trajectory. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un expressed “great satisfaction” with the missile’s performance. North Korean media emphasised the Hwasong-19 as “the primary core means in defending the DPRK, thoroughly containing the enemies’ acts of aggression and reliably protecting national security.”
Meanwhile, South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Japanese Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi discussed the launch in a phone call and issued a joint statement that “strongly condemned” the launch. In a statement issued Thursday, the three countries called the missile test a “flagrant violation of multiple UN Security Council resolutions.”

Millions Left Dead After North Korea Accidentally Launches Upside Down Missile
Tumblr media
PYONGYANG, NORTH KOREA - In what is being described as one of the most detrimental military blunders in modern history, North Korea has accidentally launched one of their own missiles upside down, causing catastrophic devastation within their own boarders. The failed missile test, intended to demonstrate the country’s latest technological advancements, instead caused widespread havoc, leaving millions dead in the process.
The missile, a supposedly cutting edge weapon dubbed the “Skyshaker 3000,” was launched from Kim Il Sung Square in the country’s capital of Pyongyang. However, in a stunning display of incompetence, military officials accidentally installed the missile backwards, causing it to fire straight into the heart of North Korea instead of its intended target in the Pacific Ocean.
Despite the disaster, state media is still insisting that the launch was a “tremendous success” and that the missile “precisely achieved what it was intended to do.” A government spokesperson would later claim that the accidental internal attack was, in fact, done intentionally to display North Korea’s power and resilience, demonstrating that even after bombing themselves, North Korea “remains strong and invincible.”
Despite these claims on state media, according to South Korean intelligence officials reported Kim Jong Un and other high ranking government officials held an emergency meeting to discuss how to proceed forward from this unprecedented attack. Sources inside North Korea speculate that the head engineer responsible for this disastrous launch has not been seen since this meeting.
Experts are still analyzing the full impact of this upside down missile strike. While the immediate death toll is said to be in the millions, the political fallout may be just as devastating. International sanctions are said to tighten, and rumors are swirling that Kim Jong Un is quietly implementing missile manual reading as a part of Kim Il Sung Military University’s curriculum.
However, military analysts remain cautious, warning that North Korea’s next missile strike might be even more unpredictable. “If they somehow managed to shoot a missile upside down, then who knows what they’ll pull off next,” said defense expert Norman Hannidy. “At this rate, we might see them ‘accidentally’ nuking the moon.”
