I adore it whenever rook rests their hands on their hips like a handyman or mechanic about to deliver some bad news as to how much the repairs are going to come in at. the hero equivalent of a plumber. they're out there saving the world with the gently beleaguered air of an overworked janitor and I quite simply love that for them

Danny Fenton, aka Phantom, has been given a new task!

In short, literally no one in the Ghost Zone/Infinite Realms wants their mostly peaceful afterlife to be rocked by a certain Gotham rogue named Joker. Which, when he dies, is almost sure to happen because of whatever the hell was in that vat he dropped in included ectoplasm. So, yay, he’s also a little ghostly too, meaning he *is* pretty hard to kill. Unfortunately, there’s also a certain vigilante that is quite keen to murder him in recent years.

So now Danny has to keep the mass murderer trauma clown alive for as long as he possibly can while attempting to keep the Joker from. Well. Being the Joker.

Oh, and naturally, Danny got this assignment AFTER Joker got out of Arkham. Again. And entirely blew up the asylum. Time to join the Goonion, he is NOT doing this without getting PAID, thank you.

See, here’s the thing: Darrel Curtis isn’t safe.

He’s not gentle or kind or emotionally sensitive, he’s not someone who puts you at ease. Darrel Curtis carries himself like a man condemned, with blood on his hands and no conscience left to care about. He could kill you with no effort. He could send you running with only a glance.

Darry is a 20 year old guy who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. He drinks. He swears. He fights. He’s bigger than anyone he knows and he takes pride in it, in his power, raw strength simmering in his hands, his shoulders. He’s known and respected by gangs—not just a bunch of school yard buddies messing around with each other but real gangs, the kind with reps and rap sheets. Those same gangs form a line behind him at rumbles. They know him, and they rally at his back, pushing him forward to start their fights.

Darry is not a soc wannabe. He’s not upperclass, not even middle class, and he’s certainly not refined. He had potential to go far in life, but it was rough, uncut, the unmined earth of his intellect and the raw power of his hands. Uncivilized. Dangerous.

He’s a landmine waiting to be stepped on and a blade without a sheath. Control is his weapon. Stubbornness, his shield. He could mess you up at the drop of a hat but chooses not to, and that’s what’s really frightening, that terrifying self-control. A leashed dog. Rage simmering in his eyes, ice cold.

Darrel Curtis isn’t safe.

But he chooses to be.

He puts the collar on himself, and every day, in the shadow of that caged power, his brothers know his gentleness a little more. Violence is innate, animalistic; so is love. Darry fights dirty, and loves like a man facing execution. Teeth clenched. Fists tight. Eyes ahead, nothing left to see, no other goal than the thing he’s set his mind to. Darry loves like it’s a fight he’s not willing to lose. Darry loves as if he’s going to die tomorrow.

thinking about flowey and chara again and imagining how much worse it could've been if they were stuck together instead. like they're trapped in the flower and can hear each other's every thought whether they want to or not. they have to figure this out together, they have no other choice.

'loop will confess who they are to someone' so what im hearing is that every t! (or more) variant of the party will find out their identity in unconnected yet progressively more stupid looney tunes esque sequence of events.

I'm still personally attached to Loop meeting T!Odile first (and seeing Fighter!Siffrin standing in the background happily bonded and with all the love and affection they have ever wanted right out the gate) but this is valid and I adore this a very normal amount. Loop would hate it. T!Mira would be so confused and startled like someone just dropped the surprise twist in her favorite book series. "what do you mean you're Siffrin-" and cue Loop wanting to talk about anything else or pushing her out of the tree and refusing to engage with her for the rest of the loop XD

Honestly I feel for Sam but serves him right.

Even if we ignore the potential intermingling of the web or any other other spooky strings that are likely being pulled, there's a lot to unpack here.

I wouldn't say Sam "deserved" it, but Alice tried warning him for months. This is what he gets for sticking his nose in places it didn't belong.

Did I say the same thing about Jon in TMA? Yes and no. Obviously there isn't a story without someone doing something dumb, but I think Jon's situation and Sam's situation are a little different. Jon was an idiot, yes, but he (and everyone else around him) were forced to go in completely blind. He had no idea what he was doing and didn't have any warnings or help at all except from his creepy boss with ulterior motives.

Sam also went in blind, but he was warned several times by several people including the eldritch computer to stop and turn around. He could have avoided this if he just returned Alice's calls or looked at her messages.

But nooooo he had to poke around with his little crushy crush and get himself thrown into a portal to what we can only assume is the TMA universe. Serves him right.

It was funny to think that Ezra had Maul to thank for bringing him to Her—not that he would ever be thanking Maul for anything.

Maul had destroyed everything the Empire hadn't already taken from Ezra, and he would have destroyed Ezra himself eventually—but when he dragged the boy with him to Dathomir, She had been there, a black blade in her hand, a dozen warriors at her side.

Maul didn't stand a chance against them all.

Ezra wouldn't have, either. He'd have died on the red Dathomir soil just like Maul, if She hadn't held up her hand, halting her soldiers.

She'd stepped towards him, and offered him her hand.

And when he took it, She changed his life.

Ezra was healed now. It wasn't just that his wrists weren't rubbed bloody and raw by bindings anymore. It wasn't just that the bruises Maul had left on him had faded and vanished. He had become someone new, someone better.

She was his Queen and his love and his everything and his only thing, because everything else had been lost to him.

Not Her.

Never Her.

No harm would ever come to the Countess of Mandalore; Ezra saw to that. And if his eyes were golden, now—if the blood in his veins always felt cold, now—if he had become someone he didn't recognize, now—well, it was a small price to pay.

He would pay anything for Her. For her smile, her laugh, her favor, her life, her love. And he would do it without regret.
