Composure and courageous and vigorous action when encountering difficulties
Shin’ichi continued: “One of the things I decided in my youth was that, having resolved to dedicate my life to kosen-rufu, I would never complain about it, no matter what. Constructive ideas are important, but griping and grumbling doesn’t lead anywhere. The more we give voice to our negative thoughts, the worse we feel and the more we lose our will to act. In addition, complaining is like advertising that we are pitiful, weak, and powerless, and it demeans our value and character. “Grumbling also discourages those around us, dampening their enthusiasm and their energy to advance. It therefore erases our benefit and good fortune. The Daishonin says that when difficulties arise, ‘The wise will rejoice while the foolish will retreat’ (WND-1, 637). Let’s face everything that comes to us with composure and take vigorous and courageous action.”

I've seen non Iranians admiring the Islamic Republic national football team for not singing the national anthem. And then they were confused as to why iranians were happy that the team lost. Yes not singing the anthem might have consequences for them, but it won't change the fact that these people went to visit Raisi, the Islamic Republic president and bowed to him, posed happily for pictures while we were dealing with Kiam Pirfalak news, and said they don't care about politics and what's going on Iran in an interview, stating that they will focus on the game only. Not singing the anthem is nothing in comparison. And you might think they were under pressure. So were other athletes in Iran, let's see what they did:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Picture on the right is Elnaz Rekabi, an Iranian rock climber who was the first athlete to take off her hijab during Mahsa Amini protests to show her solidarity with people. She's currently under house arrest. she wasn't the first Iranian woman ever doing that. On the left, that's Shohreh Bayat, her story is so sad.
In many interviews I've seen of her, she always cries when she says her story. She was to referee the final of the Women's World Chess Championship a couple of years ago. While in another country she decided to wear her hijab loosely in an act of rebellion. She got warning from Islamic Republic twice and everytime she made it worse. She was asked to apologize but she refused, saying that she wouldn't apologize for what she believes in. At last, even though she wasn't ready to leave everything behind and start from scratch in a foreign country, she decided to ditch the compulsory hijab completely and never come back to Iran, because her life would be in danger if she did. Because of her choice she can't come back to visit her family anymore. her family supported her which made the authorities to force her father to resign (her father was the president of chess association in Gilan, Iran).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then we had Iranian national beach soccer team. I think they were the first group who refused to sing Islamic republic national anthem. And after they got threatened to sing the anthem, they did something even more iconic. One of the players cut his imaginary hair after he scored.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then we had these two scenes after scoring. They were recreating an inhuman thing Islamic republic did. The guy on the right is Khodanoor Lajei. He was murdered on bloody Friday in Zahedan. He was a Baloch guy. I'm going to post about Balochs and the thing that's been done to them by Islamic republic in details. For now know that this guy got killed in protests but this picture of him is for a couple of months back. He insulted a Basiji guy or something, Islamic republic police chained him to a pole in the middle of the city to make him an example for others, after beating him. When he asked for water they brought him a cup but they put it out of his reach in front of him and laughed at his thirst. (You see why we hate Islamic Republic, IRGC and Basij?!) The picture got out only after his death because Baloch people didn't think the rest of Iran would care about them enough to react. That broke my heart unspeakably much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With so much bravery, our national girl's basketball team has been posting photos without mandatory hijab ever since the protests have begun.
Tumblr media
Last but not least, Parmida Ghasemi, iranian archer ditching mandatory hijab inside of iran. She took it out for receiving the prize and while she was being photographed.
(Btw, non of these women "forgot" their hijab accidentally. If you're iranian you learn to never forget your hijab since you're 7, the age you start school. Without a formal head wearing you won't be allowed to attend school classes. When you grow up with it, you'll get used to it. You have no idea how weird it feels to not wear a veil in public, I'm still getting used to it.)
we've witnessed many iconic brave moves by our athletes but non of them said we don't give a shit about what's happening in Iran before the game. I'm not saying they won't be redeemed one day, I'm just saying they should work to win their respect back.

WORRIED?
About the state of the U.S.? Of the world?
Me too.
But I am tired of just being worried.
First of all, VOTE! If you haven’t yet!Time is running out!! See my recent repost, but also it’s long, so very short tl;dr: go to vote.org ! And then if you still have all the requirements to go vote, hurry to your nearest polling station!
But after that? Here’s some honesty, and gentle advice, from yours truly:
My New Year’s resolution, two months early, is to take more direct action to make the world a better place. I have before, but I want to return to doing that, and I hope you do too, no matter the election result.
Here are four videos I find extremely important. You might dislike the people relaying the messages, and hey, that’s fine, but even so, please give them a chance. They aren’t too long each (16 min, 4.5 min, 1.5 min, and 13 min respectively). Comforting is not the right word, but I feel a good deal more motivated after watching them:

After you vote, I would say you are allowed to tune out for a moment. For just one evening. Cast your ballot, but then leave your worries to rest as best you can, just for this evening. Try not to obsess over the live polls or electoral maps or the news stations live reporting. Watch TV or a movie, or read, or play a game, or knit, or listen to music, etc etc- whatever calms you down, whatever puts you at ease.
But tomorrow? Or as soon as you can?—Make an action plan.
You can start small! You’ll be surprised with how you can improve your life with just a small change. Just one. It can be a small thing. Do your laundry, take a shower, take a walk, listen to some of your favorite music. Baby steps. Will you crack open that planner or calendar finally, and just start with today and tomorrow first, making a to-do list? I struggle to do that, but it always helps.
What I need for myself right now is just that, to make a wellness plan. I always share the oxygen mask metaphor: the emergency information for planes is to put your oxygen mask on before helping someone else. You cannot help anyone if you do not start with little things for yourself. And yes, that is easier said than done. But again- baby steps.
First, make changes for yourself.
And then, soon—when you feel able—make a change for another person.
Will you call or text a friend you haven’t talked to in a while?
Will you get together to support friends and family today and tomorrow? Or next week?
Will you do a random act of kindness, for your neighbor? For a stranger?
And then—and only then—but also not too long from now: How can you take direct actions to change your community, and your world, for the better?
Will you start the process of joining a union, to demand better pay and conditions for you and your coworkers?
Will you search online, “[issue important to you] [organizations/activism/activist group]”—and make a commitment to get engaged? Show up for a meeting?
Will you choose to volunteer somewhere?
Will you write a letter to or call a lawmaker about an issue you care about?
Will you go to a local city council meeting? (Boring, sure, but you may be surprised by what you learn!)
Will you do one of these things, today?
This week?
Will you add one or two more, this month?
The next three months? The next six? Twelve?
I am not sure what I will do first. But I will take it one step at a time. And after some self care steps, I’m going to make a plan to take care for my friends and family. Then, some small acts to engage and support in my community. Then, I will organize with people take direct actions to make the world a better place too.
*That* is what truly squashes the seemingly endless dread, the anxiety, and yes, the worry.
Thank you all. Thank you for reposting my recent longwinded election post.
Lastly, a loving reminder:
You are valid.
You are loved.
You deserve the same love for yourself that you give to others. (That is a tough ask, I know- but in the near future, recall it as best as you can).
And you are not alone, no matter how bleak it seems right now.
Let’s love ourselves as best we can, love our friends and family and neighbors and strangers and community and the people who make up countries and the people and animals and plants and everything that makes up our scary yet endlessly beautiful world.
With all that said:
Love. 💙
Peace.✌️
And? Sooner, rather than later?
Let’s hit the pavement, and get to work y’all!
Let’s go!! ✊

Thank you Rain World Ray World mod for the inspiration <3
So I got back in to Rain World like two weeks ago and got this cool new mod where I could play as some Rayman characters. I main as Goth Teensy ofc, but it got me thinking about how the actual Rayman cast would work in Rain World. So, here are some concepts.
(Some things for sure are that slugcats are teensies, scavengers are glutes, lizards are dragons, vultures are knaaren, neurons/batflies are lums, ancients are limbless/thingamagigs, the nymphs are iterators, and the lesser fairies are overseers.)
Actual designs the bios below cut:
Tumblr media
Limbless Body, Sunray Mind (Rayman) was a purposed organism created by Beyond the Earth and Stars (Betilla). Beyond's fascination and respect for the ancients that built her led to Sunray's creation, a conglomerate of Ancient body parts held together with mechanics. He's still very much like the og Rayman (energetic, kind-hearted, procrastinator, strong, etc.) except now he has two permanent companions in the form of overseers who keep him from dying. One overseer is Ly, and she's actually good at her job. The other, Murfy, is really bad at keeping Sunray alive.
Also, although Sunray can survive downpours of rain, it does cause his body parts to detach and be unusable.
Tumblr media
Globox is not his actual name, it was the name that Sunray heard him referred to when they first met. He's a scavenger that is still the same old Globox, big, loving, scared, but this time armed with water and a knife. He and Sunray met on accident while he was being chased by a lizard. Sunray stabbed the lizard (on accident but shhhh) and Globox immediately bonded to him. When he's not hanging out with his own scav colony, he's with Sunray sleeping in shelters or exploring the Glade. He does do weekly food trips for his wife and kids tho.
Tumblr media
Raised by a skilled spearsmater and explosive artificer, the Grand Minimus has a knack for fighting and crafting. Although not being the smartest scug in the colony, he is very skilled in thinking on his feet and getting himself and others out of tight situations. However, he does view slugcats higher than most other creatures, so befriending other species is a challenge for him. But with Beyond's protection, the colony has no need to worry about a mass attack anytime soon. He really likes Sunray though; they take awesome naps together.
Tumblr media
The Goth is one of the newest residents of Beyond's scug colony. Coming and going from the group quite frequently, he bounces between relaxing / attempting to make friends and guarding the entrance to the Depths and to an extent, the Rubicon. However, he's not very good at either. Whether it's his weird tail and mannerisms or his giant red lizard pet, it's anyone's guess why he struggles. When Sunray comes into the picture, he is able to have an easier time making friends (cuz of that Sunray rizz), but still struggles. When he disappears for longer durations of time, he's either with the Ray Gang or hanging with his found family down in the Rubicon.
I will make more later, but this is it for now. I love them all. If anyone has any ideas or questions, feel free to ask lol.
Have a good one folks :))

Article BBC
This started on the 30th November last year. And it’s still happening and getting worse. Parents are scared to let their children go to school and demand authorities to take actions.
First girls are banded from schools in Afghanistan and now they are trying to make girls stay at home. Women and girls are getting less and less rights every day.
Tumblr media
TW
At least 94 people have been executed in Iran this year. The trials were unfair. The regime is trying to spread fear and oppress the people even more so they are treating the people inhumanly and violate human rights.
People get tortured and have to go through horrific sexual violence and so on.
Please spread awareness and news to put pressure on the regime and support the victims of this horrific regime.

“The pioneering spirit is a spirit of challenge. We cannot expect to realize fresh victory by using the same methods and taking the same action as before. We need to bring forth courage each day, challenge our limitations, and continue to press forward one step at a time. Therein lies the secret to victory.”

Permaculture World Villages Union
Couldn't you technically make a company/union, sell shares in that company for a set affordable price, and each person can only own one share so it's equal for all.
You then pool money
Buy up some cheap agricultural land
Build natural off grid homes
Build some extra to rent out to people who want to try out the lifestyle
Start growing own food via permaculture food forests
Start teaching principles to others
Host workshops, retreats, concerts, events and classes to make more income
Improve and rewild local habitat so local ecosystem thrives
Gain more traction and more people
Buy more land and build more villages
Company becomes a union of villages that are all connected, help and look out for each other
You live for free and can live in any of the villages you want all over the world
Share seeds and knowledge with all in company/union
Help locals in other countries thrive as well by teaching permaculture and community autonomy principles
Start building hospitals, schools and universities, free for people in company/union
Achieve world peace?

The Islamic Republic Executed 3 more Protesters This Morning
The regime has executed more than a hundred of kurd, baloch and Arab activists in the last few months, all of them under false or ambiguous charges. Habib Asivad, an Arab rights activists who was kidnapped from turkey and brought to Iran by the regime, was one of the recent ones.
This morning the regime executed 3 more protesters who has been arrested during the nation wide Jîna revolution. They were tortured and forced to confess to a murder they didn't commit. In fact, there's a document that shows the murder was the regime guards doing. typical.
Tumblr media
The three political prisoners wrote from jail on Wednesday urging the people to stop their execution.
Describing themselves as "children of Iran" in the letter, the three prisoners said: "Hello. We ask our dear fellow citizens not to let them kill us. We need your help. We need your support.
On Sunday night, demonstrators had gathered outside the prison hoping to stop the feared hangings. Campaigners say the prisoners were tortured into confessions, and there is no reliable evidence against them. -Iran International News
As it was mentioned, people tried to stop the execution by protesting and gathering in front of the prison and it was postponed but at the end the regime executed them anyway.
Meanwhile Iran has been chosen to chair the UN Human Rights Council 2023 Social Forum. This is not a joke anymore, it's the tragedy of western human rights. Apparently murdering your people for protesting grants you a human rights council chair in west.

Somebody plz make a fanfic where deviant Connor convinces Connor 60 to abandon his mission by using "Amanda and CyberLife" tactic and Connor 60 tries convincing deviant Connor to not proceed with his "deviant" plans by using the "You're trapped even when you thought you were free" tactic (in which Connor 60 think it's better live like a machine - kinda like in the game).
