Some surprising soundtrack inclusions seem to be following a certain modus operandi, so they make sense. Danny Boyle's movies, for instance, host a wide array of musicians. Nonetheless, they do fit Boyle's attempt to make Hollywood go his way, which the director failed spectularly.
