So I didn't share this with a lot of people but on Saturday a family member of mine died in a tragic situation.
A friend set up a fundraiser and I sent it to some people and those numbers went skyrocketing
They have reached their goal but many of the people we know or even all around Poland are still donating because he left his two young sons and wife behind so with that in mind.
https://zrzutka.pl/yp8sd8
That's the link there.
Please reblog this as the loss it has lead is great and as always the more money they gain the better for his kids as his wife doesn't work and now has no source of stable income.

Here's a little snippet from my next Dad!Tyler fic, Connie's Confession.
“Oh my God Issac! LEAVE! ME! ALONE!”
The ceiling above Tyler’s study quaked from the force of Connie slamming her bedroom door.
There was a despondent shuffle of footsteps down the stairs, then Isaac appeared in front of Tyler’s desk with a glum look on his face.
“What’s going on up there?”
“Connie’s crying. I kept trying to see if she was ok but she told me to go away and I gave her my octopus but she threw it at me and made it sad.”
There was a lot for Tyler to unpack in that sentence.
Surprisingly, the octopus was the easiest to make sense of. Issac had helpfully presented the aforementioned sea creature to him as proof of his story. It was one of those soft cuddly ones that could be turned inside out to reflect a person’s mood - the white side wore a smile, but the black side wore a frown. And that sad little frown felt emblematic of his current relationship with his teenage daughter.
Tyler was desperate to rush upstairs and comfort her. Like any caring father, he would don his armour and vanquish an entire army of foes that had ever made Connie so much as pout if she asked him to. He would do everything in his power to banish her worries from the kingdom, never to return, if that’s what she needed. But right now, he doubted she would let him get close enough to try. It was as if she had locked herself in the castle’s tallest tower, where he couldn’t easily reach.
But his little girl was hurting, and she needed her dad. Not even a fire-breathing dragon, forest of thorns, or a deep dark wood full of monsters could keep him away.

nonny hi! thank you for dropping by!
what you get will be much more than a sentence because i have lacked in the fic department lately 😅
you'll be getting a look into Lieutenant Rogers part 9!
You watched scattered trees and manicured lawns pass by, some littered with toys as kids chased each other around the yard as their parents sipped coffee on the porch. Normally, you would smile and comment on how much fun they were having, but now… you couldn’t get past the churning feeling in your stomach. How were they so carefree at a time like this? When your father’s legacy, everything he stood for, was destroyed in a matter of moments, how were they not angry?
I hope you like it nonny! 💜

ah! hi, thank you for popping in 🥹💜
this is going to be more than one sentence but given my lack of posting fics i think it's okay 😅😂
this is from a stand-alone sequel piece to You Better Not Die a jake x actress!reader piece!
“But I’m not. And you know I’m not just saying that. Like you’ve said, I’ve been here from the very beginning. I’ve watched you grow and learn. You work so insanely hard-” “So do the other nominees, Jake.” He rolled his eyes. “But I’ve never watched them rehearse lines over a game of pool. Or listened to them act in the shower. Or watched them pour hours and hours into research for a role.” He held the side of your face. “But I’ve watched you do that.” You opened your mouth, but he placed his thumb over your lips. “Yes, I know all of the nominees are great, and are talented. Which is why you're among them. Because,” Jake drew out the last word as he leaned closer. “You’re talented.” Kiss. “And amazing.” Kiss. “And beautiful.” Kiss. “And other praises that are leaving my mind. But that I definitely believe.” Kiss. “And you’re my wife. You’ll always be a winner to me.”

“You’re not the monster you think you are”
AAH 😭
I don’t think I could imagine being in that role. The weight of the world literally being on your shoulders. It sounds awful.
Javy deserves to choose her. To choose himself. But in a way, if the world is safe — she’s safe. She’s there.
Dragon Age: Inquisitor!JavyMachado
Hey, somebody had to be the Inquisitor...
Javy sat at his desk, the dim light from the flickering candle casting long shadows across the war room. The map of the south of Thedas, reports, and letters were strewn about, but his gaze was distant, unfocused.
It had been a long day—hours, weeks, months since he’d had a moment to himself. He didn’t know what time of day it was anymore. All he knew was the weight of the Inquisition’s demands crushing him.
Another life-or-death decision loomed on the horizon. Another group of lives he’d have to decide fates for. The constant pressure, the choices that never felt right, that always left someone behind—he couldn’t escape it. He couldn’t escape the fear that no matter what he did, he would always be the one to lose.
The door to the war room creaked open, and he looked up, half-expecting to see one of his advisors or one of Lelianna's spies coming to remind him of some new task.
Instead, it was her.
Her name still felt too soft on his tongue, like something he didn’t deserve to speak. She was his closest companion, his confidante, the one person who had stood by him through everything—whether it was endless battles closing fade riffs, political scheming, or the deep, gnawing uncertainty that came with being the Inquisitor.
She stood in the doorway, her expression unreadable. “You’re still here,” she said softly, stepping into the room.
Javy shrugged, trying to mask the exhaustion in his voice. “There’s always more to do.”
“I’ve noticed.” Her tone was light, but there was an undercurrent to it. Something deeper. Her eyes lingered on him for a moment before she took a few steps closer, her boots quiet against the stone floor.
He watched her carefully, afraid of what she might say—or worse, what she might not. For weeks, he’d been aware of how she looked at him when she thought he wasn’t paying attention. The way her gaze lingered a little too long.
He was no fool. He could see it in the subtle shifts of her posture, the way she reached for him in battle without hesitation, the way she always seemed to be near when the weight of the world felt unbearable.
He couldn’t let himself acknowledge it—not while he was Inquisitor. Not while he was the one making the impossible choices. The ones that could tear their world apart or tear them apart.
That could tear her apart.
“You should rest,” she said quietly, her voice pulling him from his thoughts.
He shook his head, letting out a heavy sigh. “Rest doesn’t seem like an option these days.”
She didn’t speak immediately, and for a long moment, there was only the sound of their breathing. Then, almost too quietly to hear, she said, “I’m worried about you.”
Javy’s heart skipped. He couldn’t remember the last time someone had said that to him. Not in this way. Not with the tenderness that only someone who truly cared could convey. And that scared him. More than the chaos swirling outside the doors of Skyhold. More than the war against the demons, the mages, or the templars.
More than Corypheus.
He set the quill down and stood, turning toward her. “You shouldn’t be.”
Her lips pressed together, and her eyes flashed with something he couldn’t quite name. “I can’t help it. I see how hard you’re trying to hold it all together and what it’s doing to you.”
“I didn't have a choice. I don’t have a choice,” he said quickly, his voice tighter than he intended. “The world depends on the decisions I make.”
“And what about you?” she asked, taking a step closer, her voice soft but insistent. “What about what you need, Javy?”
He didn’t know how to answer that. He hadn’t given himself a moment to think about what he needed in months, maybe longer. He was the Inquisitor. His needs didn’t matter. Only the mission mattered.
But staring at her, he realized how wrong he was. She mattered. And the thought of losing her—of pushing her away with the decisions he had to make—was a fear he’d been burying under the weight of his duties.
He wanted to get out of his chair and reach out to her, but he couldn’t. He couldn’t risk it. Not now. Not when the world teetered on the edge of destruction.
“I’m… I’m not the man you think I am,” he said, his voice low, almost a whisper.
Her eyes softened. “And what do you think I see?”
He shook his head, the words stuck in his throat. “That someone else should be in this role. That Cassandra should have fought harder for Hawke or that she...”
Her brow furrowed, and she took another step closer, her hand reaching out to touch his arm. “That’s not true,” she said, her voice firm. “You’re not the monster you think you are. You’re human, Javy. And you’re doing the best you can.”
He swallowed hard, looking down at her hand resting on his arm. Her touch was warm, grounding. He didn’t want to pull away. Didn’t want to push her back. But he was so afraid of what his decisions might do.
“I’m scared,” he confessed, the words escaping before he could stop them. “Scared that everything I’m doing will drive you away. That the things I have to choose will change me into someone you won’t want to be around.”
Her gaze softened, and she stepped closer until they were inches apart. “Javy,” she said gently, “nothing you do will make me leave. I’m here with you, no matter what.”
And for the first time in what felt like forever, Javy allowed himself to believe that—truly believe it. The Inquisitor he was supposed to be, the leader burdened with saving the world, didn’t have to be the man standing alone in the dark. Not if she was willing to stand beside him.
It wasn’t much, but in that moment, it was enough.

Side question: do you think Grayson would stand up to Jake the same way if he were his biological dad? (No pressure for you to answer!)
Thank you again for this piece of absolure beauty!!!
Nonny! I'm so glad you enjoyed this piece, it means a lot to hear your feedback! 🥹💜
As for your question: Yes! Grayson would still stand up to Jake. And I'll let you in on this little secret, at 12 Grayson still believed that Jake was his biological dad! It isn't until about a year or so later that Jake and wifey tell him about his biological father. And even then, Jake will always be Grayson's dad.
Thank you nonny so much for following along with this little family! It means so much to me!

“Reduce to a man clinging to a hope he shouldn’t allow himself to have”
Stabbing me would have hurt less, Lucky.
Deep down, Bradley knows that if he were stronger — he’d break those oaths, go against the world to save you.
Thank you for these, making my day right here don’t ya know 💛
DragonAge: Templar!BradleyBradshaw
... Oh how I love to torture Bradley...
Bradley’s heart pounded beneath his armour, each beat a relentless, aching reminder of how wrong this was. He shouldn’t be here. He shouldn’t care. But he did—Maker, he did.
He was a Templar, bound by oaths older than his bones, sworn to uphold the Circle's sanctity and remain unyielding. Yet he stood, shadows cloaking his presence, his eyes fixed on you as you prepared for the Harrowing.
You, a mage, readying yourself for the final step in your training.
The flicker of candlelight cast fragile patterns across your face, highlighting every curve he’d memorized in stolen moments. He had no right to watch you like this, to let his heart tighten in defiance of every vow he’d taken. But his resolve shattered when you tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, steadying yourself for what awaited.
You were so strong—stronger than him, though you’d never believe it. But Maker help him, he saw the fear you tried to hide, the tremor in your fingers as you traced an idle circle over your robes. That fear tore through him like a lance. He wanted to step forward, to take your hands in his, to promise he’d protect you, fight for you, and defy every code written in stone. Instead, he stayed rooted, fists clenching at his sides, fighting the overwhelming urge to close the space between you.
You turned, and your eyes found his. The weight of the Circle’s laws, the Watchers’ scrutiny, and his duty all melted away in that moment. His throat tightened, and he swallowed against the tide of words he couldn’t speak, prayers he couldn’t offer aloud.
“If you survive,” he thought desperately, “you’ll come back to me. Changed, yes—but you’ll still be you.”
But what if you didn’t? The thought hit him like a hammer, stealing his breath. He could withstand battles, face down demons, endure the agony of wounds carved into his flesh—but he couldn’t lose you. The mere idea of it left him hollow.
“Maker, keep her safe,” he whispered, voice breaking under the weight of his desperation. “Let her come back to me, whole, unchanged—alive. Please.”
It was a plea—a demand. A bargain he’d make with the Maker himself if only it meant you’d survive.
You gave him the smallest smile, one meant to comfort him when it should have been the other way around. And then you turned, stepping toward a trial that no Templar could save you from. His heart shattered with every step you took away from him.
For all his strength and all his training, Bradley was powerless in the face of this. Reduced to a man who could do nothing but love you. Reduced to a man clinging to a hope he shouldn’t allow himself to have.

summary: the first time grayson stood up for his mom
Grayson sat on the couch, trying his best to flip through the channels and find something to watch. He had been tasked with keeping Kennedy occupied while his parents talked in the other room.
He wasn’t quite sure what his mom and dad were talking about, but apparently it was very much an adult conversation – given that they told him to take his sister to the living room and turn on the TV. The volume was turned up loud enough that it muffled the sounds of the conversation, but didn’t totally drown it out.
While he had been raised to respect privacy and not eavesdrop on conversations, Grayson couldn’t help it this time. When Y/N told him to take Kennedy to the living room, her voice sounded tired and strained. It roused a fear in his stomach, an unsettling churning somewhere in him that told him he needed to pay attention to this one.
Eavesdropping one time wouldn’t be the end of the world.
“Jake, all that I’m asking is that you stay home! I know you’ve been working late, I know that. But one night, that’s all I’m asking.” His mom’s voice was desperate – pleading even.
And she was right, Jake had been working late. He was coming home well after dinner completely exhausted. Y/N was staying up after bathtime, putting Kennedy to bed and sending Grayson to his room to wind down before bed.
“Y/N, it’ll just be one drink. I should be back in time for bedtime,” Jake said, his tone bordering on dismissive. It made Grayson ear twitch, his fingers making quick work to turn the volume down.
“The kids miss you, Jake – I miss you.” There were tears in his mother’s voice as she spoke, a punch to his gut. He hates that sound, the sound of his mom hurting.
Grayson’s stomach dropped in anticipation, straining his ear to hear what his dad had to say. Jake had always been good with conversations, at least that Grayson is aware of. So surely his dad wouldn’t say anything to make his mom feel worse.
Right?
“You miss me?”
The tone in his father's voice made Grayson sit up straight. He didn’t like that.
“Yes! Of course I miss you! You’re my husband for God’s sake. I’m not trying to control you or saying I don’t trust you. I just want you at home.”
“Then I need you to show me. Because to be honest, home doesn’t feel much like home lately.”
“I do show you, Jake. Every night, I’m waiting for you to get home so you can have dinner. I sit with you even though I am exhausted because I love you and I want to hear about your day. If I didn’t miss you, I wouldn’t do that,” Y/N drew in a shaky inhale, tears closing her throat as she tried not to sob out the last sentence. “And you’re right, home doesn’t feel like home – because you’re not here.”
If his mama’s broken, tearfilled voice didn’t push him off the couch, what Jake tried to pull next certainly would have.
“Oh, so it’s my fault now? You know damn well-”
“Don’t talk to my mom like that.”
Both of his parents looked at him, watching his moves carefully as he put his 12 year-old frame in front of his mother’s.
“Gray-”
“No, Mama, he doesn’t get to talk to you like that,” Grayson said, feeling bad for interrupting her but knowing that he couldn’t let his dad get away with the tone he used.
Grayson fixated his eyes on Jake’s, the similar shades of green meeting each other in a battle.
“You may be the adult here, Dad,” he almost spit the name out, almost mocking the authority it held. “But I’m the son that isn’t letting anyone disrespect his mom, especially not her husband. Not the man that’s supposed to love her.”
Despite the anger in his throat, a twinge of anxiety roused in his chest. He wasn’t worried about anything getting physical, even now he knew his dad would never raise a hand to him. But he didn’t want a verbal argument to ensue, scaring his mom and his baby sister.
But, all Jake did was cross his arms, nodding for Grayson to continue.
It didn’t quell the anxiety, but it helped Grayson to stand up straighter and hold his ground a little firmer.
“I’m here every night. I’ve sat at that table every night for the last eight months and stared at an empty chair. I watched Mom check her phone habitually, waiting for a text or a call from you. Do you know how often she checked the door? Praying a chaplain wasn’t about to ring the bell? How many times I got to the mailbox first so she didn’t have to be the first one to see the letter telling her you weren’t coming home?”
Tears stung Grayson’s eyes and he clicked his jaw as he shook his head. “No one is saying you not being home is your fault. We understand that this is your job. But please, be in the chair, Dad. One night, please.”
Grayson’s vision was slightly blurry, tears clouding his vision as he looked his dad over. He wasn’t sure what to expect from him now.
Jake’s jaw flexed before he cleared his throat. He looked at the floor, hiding his face as his eyes began watering as well. He sniffled, his arms uncrossing so he could put his hands on his hips.
“Okay…”
A weight lifted off of Grayson’s chest and he let the tears fall. He nodded, not bothering to hide his feelings as his voice cracked. “Thank you…”
And, while he was glad he was able to get through to Jake, the issue wasn’t resolved yet.
“Please apologize.”
Jake nodded and patted Grayson on the shoulder, letting him know it was okay to stand down. Grayson took the hint and stepped to the side, his arms now crossing over his chest as he watched his parents interact. He wasn’t going to leave until he knew his mom was okay.
Y/N looked up at Jake, a waiting but patient look on her face. Her arms stayed wrapped around her stomach, clearly still upset.
“Sweetheart, I’m sorry. I know that doesn’t fix it and I can’t make excuses. Grayson’s right. I shouldn’t talk to you like that. Not when you do so much for me, for this family. I was out of line, accusing you like that. I’m sorry, I’ll work on it. I love you.”
Y/N nodded, sniffling as they pulled each other into a hug. “Thank you, Honey. I love you, too.” Jake kissed her head, holding his lips there with his fingers in her hair. “Why don’t you go pick out a movie? I want to talk to Grayson for a minute, we’ll be in there in a moment.” She nodded again and pecked his chest before turning to her son.
“I love you, Gray,” she said softly before hugging him and kissing his head. He wrapped his arms around her, smiling against her shoulder. “I love you too, Mama.”
She walked away, shaking out the tension in her hands before wiping her tears and walking to the living room. “Oh, hi baby girl…” Her cheery, motherly tone eased Grayson’s anxieties significantly as he looked at his dad.
Grayson stood up straight, his chest puffing out a little in pride. He didn’t know what Jake was about to say to him, but he would walk away knowing he did the right thing.
Jake leaned against the counter, arms crossed again as he looked at his boots. “That must have been a lot, hearing me talk to your mom like that…” Grayson nodded, his arms crossing as well, “Yes sir. You shouldn’t talk to someone you love that way. Even in arguments.”
His dad nodded, looking up at him. “You’re right, they shouldn’t. Thank you for reminding me of that.” Jake rubbed his jaw, sniffling a little. “I know you know that life won’t always work out that way, and me and your mom won’t always say the kindest things to each other – it doesn’t mean we love each other any less. I’ll spare you that talk, for now.”
“I know,” Grayson said softly, an airy sigh behind his words. “But I don’t like it when she cries. And you shouldn’t be the one making her cry, Dad.”
“You’re right. And I’ll work on it. I’m tired and I’m stressed, but that’s no excuse. I shouldn’t have used that tone, I was only making us both more stressed.”
Jake stood up straight, grunting a little as he clapped a hand down on Grayson’s shoulder, squeezing it gently. “I’m proud of you, son. For standing up to me like that, standing up for your mother like that.”
Grayson felt the emotions surge in his chest, his arms falling to his side as he swallowed the lump. “I learned from the best.”
Jake gave him a watery smile before pulling him into a hug. “I love you, kid.”
He hugged him back, tightly. “I love you too, Dad.”

Grayson loves both of his parents, and sometimes when you love someone and their behavior is hurtful to you or other — you have to bring attention to it. Jake and wifey raised Grayson to be vocal and strong about standing his ground — even if you’re scared, don’t back down.
Standing up to the man that’s been raising him and as far as he knows is his father was scary — he didn’t want to come off as disrespectful while voicing his feelings about how Jake was treating his mom.
And Jake is humbled, humbled hard. But there’s a small flame of pride that his son saw harmful behavior and stopped it. That even when Jake is gone, Grayson will fill that role and protect their family. 🥺🥹
Thank you for reading!

“I love you too, Dad.”

summary: the first time grayson stood up for his mom
