Vice President Kamala Harris said her team is prepared to counter former President Donald Trump if he prematurely declares victory in the 2024 election. Harris spoke with NBC News’ Hallie Jackson on Tuesday, with just two weeks to go until voters head to the polls. Harris has been on a nonstop tour of swing states across the nation and has used her appearances to cast the race as a choice between stability and chaos. Jackson asked what her team planned to do if Trump once again declared victory — as he did in 2020 — before all votes had been counted. “Well let me say this: We’ve got two weeks to go, and I’m very much grounded in the present in terms of the task at hand,” Harris said. “And we will deal with election night and the days after, as they come, and we have the resources and the expertise and the focus on that as well.”

Jackson went on to ask if Harris had teams ready to go for that possibility, to which the vice president replied: “Of course.”

“This is a person, Donald Trump, who tried to undo a free and fair election, who still denies the will of the people, who incited a violent mob to attack the United States Capitol, and 140 law enforcement officers were attacked,” she said. “Some were killed. This is a serious matter. The American people are, at this point, two weeks out, being presented with a very, very serious decision about what will be the future of our country.”

During her NBC News interview with Hallie Jackson on Tuesday, Kamala Harris says she is prepared if Donald Trump prematurely declares “victory” like he did in 2020.

Kamala Harris isn’t planning to compromise when it comes to women’s reproductive freedom — even if she were to become president with a GOP-controlled congress. “I don’t think we should be making concessions when we are talking about a fundamental freedom to make decisions about your own body,” she told NBC News’ Hallie Jackson. This reality means that health care providers face legal consequences, she added, including “prison for life for doctors and nurses if they provide reproductive care.” Jackson also asked if Harris would extend “an olive branch” to Republicans like Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, who have demonstrated they are receptive to some left-leaning reproductive legislation. “I’m not gonna engage in hypotheticals because we could go on a variety of scenarios. Let’s just start with a fundamental fact, a basic freedom has been taken from the women of America: the freedom to make decisions about their own body. And that cannot be negotiable, which is that we need to put back in the protections of Roe v Wade. And that is it,” Harris answered.

Speaking to NBC News’s Hallie Jackson Tuesday, Kamala Harris forthrightly said there will be no concessions to the GOP on abortion access.

When I first watched Hannibal I was bed ridden for an illness that caused me chronic lethargy yet made me so dizzy I was unable to sleep. I was off all my psych meds because the side effects of these medications made my illness significantly worse. (One of these pills was an anti psychotic) It wasn’t very uncommon for me to stay awake for upwards of 3 days at a time. On one of these occasions I had the brilliant idea to start watching a series about a man with a chronic illness and hallucinations. Needless to say it didn’t help that I had also gotten a new therapist.
