Ten-Tails Original Concept

I have a theory that Hamura was originally supposed to be the ten-tails.

Kishimoto made changes to the story as it went along, I think this was the original concept for the Ten-Tails and Hamura.

I think it would have been a callback to the tension between the main house and branch house of the Hyuga Clan. Which was epitomized in the relationship between Hiashi and Hizashi. And to the theme of brotherhood in Naruto.

Hamura and Hagoromo are twin brothers. I think the originally they were supposed to be have been the first born with the Byakugan. I think it would have been a result of selective breeding of ocular powers.

I think Kekkei Genkai was supposed to be the rudimentary way chakra was utilized.

The Sage of Six Paths is credited for discovering the inner workings of chakra.

The Byakugan has the ability to see the chakra pathway system and I think the brothers would have used that ability to discover chakra.

This is already the case since the Rinnegan was credited as birthing all jutsu.

I think Hamura and Hagoromo would have both tried to find a solution for world peace coming to different conclusions.

I think Hamura was originally meant to look to the gods. And so summoned one and fused with it.

Instead of a benevolent god I think Hamura would have summoned a devil. The concept of an evil god was brought up through Hidan and Jashin.

The effect of the fusion would have been the birth of the Rinne Sharingan. I think he would of use his abilities to try to forcibly bring peace to the world which have led to a conflict with his brother, leading to his transformation.

I think the ten-tails was originally based on the Hitotsume-nyūdō a giant one-eyed priest yokai. There is lore that it was really a kitsune or tanuki, which I think was combined into the ten-tails. Kitsune have 9 tails while tanuki one.

I think his metamorphosis would have been similar to Orochimaru's transformations.

Hagoromo would seal his brother within himself transforming his Byakugan into the Rinnegan. And leading him to pass on the Sharingan to the Uchiha.

When the ten-tails first appeared it was obvious there was a connection to Sharingan and Rinnegan.

We know the story somewhat kept intact the lore about the Uchiha originating from the Hyuyga Clan through the Ōtsutsuki but I think originally it was supposed to be a straight link.

I think the Hyuga Clan's policy of putting a curse seal on the branch family was in response to what happen with Hamura. And why it was placed in the same spot where the Rinne Sharingan appears.

I think there are traces of this original concept. The Mangekyo Sharingan was stated  as "heavenly eyes that see the truth of all of creation without obstruction" in the third databook. The Complete Susanoo took on the forms of Karasu and Yamabushi Tengu.

We saw these tengu as statues at the entrance of the Fire Temple. Although not delved into we know ninja monks existed in the story.

Also the Gedo Mazo looked like a  Sokushinbutsu a mummified monk. Which I think hinted at it being a monk like the Sage of Six Paths.

does anyone remember that one Naruto fanfiction from 2019 called “I’m a God!!!” where the male oc gets hit by a truck and wakes up to Saiki K. just… dumping all his powers onto the OC? and then he woke up in the womb with Sasuke and he kicked the fetus so much that people in the comments thought it would come out deformed.

then the author posted a chapter that announced that they were abandoning the fic because they wrote it when they were 10

Naruto Rewrite:

Disclaimer this is my opinion NOT fact. I’m just throwing out ideas that I’ve been thinking about for a while. Naruto and Naruto Shippuden belongs to Masashi Kishimoto.

Kaguya isn’t an alien, but a goddess. Sky daddy had a wife amongst the gods and goddess. Despite being the prettiest amongst goddess she hungered for power. She new if she could gain enough power, she could overthrow him and be the new leader amongst gods

As punishment when she tried to over throw him, he damned her to earth, her curse was to live a normal life as a hag and then be reincarnated forever. What he didn’t expect was when she died she kept her memory from the previous life

Chakra has always existed on earth, none of that gave chakra from the heavens

While on earth she plotted her revenge, she created wood style and in turn The God Tree in hopes of creating a creature so strong that they could help her even the on the battle field and eventually take revenge on sky daddy

Once she made the god tree she began tricking people to steal their bodies to keep her real body safe, sealed in the god tree

She “married” a king to gain land and people, starting a “church” that believed she was “a god”

As the kings wife she gave birth to two twins: Hargoromo and Hamura

As she grow in power and land she ruled with an iron foot, feeding those she deemed weak to the god tree making it grow stronger

The two boys grow up, but didn’t follow their mother’s ideas, eventually rebelling aginst her

Kaguya took over half the world thanks to the ten tails she created and by using infinite tsukuyomi on her enemies to use them as shadow government

The ten tails was powered by the chakra from the earth itself which in turn made her stronger

Knowing their mom was on the path to destroy the world the two brothers got blessed my sky daddy and created the nine tailed beast to help stop her

They hatched a plan to destroy the god tree and to seal her away once and for all

They destroyed a large portion of the god tree, but not all of it (hence why it still exists)

After ten days and ten nights they managed to beat her and in order to stop her they used the last bit of chakra to split the moon and seal her away (again needs to be referenced in some way shape or form)

Kaguya was way ahead of them, they played checkers but she was playing chess. She split half of her spirit into the god tree after every life as a extra save file, when that little bit of tree remaining she created Black Zetsu to take the remaining portion of the tree and put it somewhere safe underground 

The twins then sealed the ten tails deep within a mountain (located in the sound village) and gave each beast a key so mama couldn’t break out of the moon

The twins then died meeting said sky daddy and asked him to give them the gift of reincarnating to make sure their mom stayed sealed and if she ware to be unsealed they could reseal her
