I am not a religious person at all anymore, though I used to be. I would normally be annoyed with faith stuff in my Star Trek, but Major Kira's depiction of faith seems like something special. And I think a lot of that is in Nana Visitor's performance.
She can hold her faith personally, and still seperate it from her faith's leaders. She recognizes those leaders as flawed, as biased, as politicians, and their conduct doesn't shake her beliefs. Versus Sisko, where she has to seperate her faith for an entirely different reason, because it's her job, and because her Emmissary has their own strained relationship to her faith.
She questions it, she interrogates it, but she never doubts it. You are really given a sense that her faith his foundational to her being. That given all she's gone through in her life, that maybe it's the one thing keeping her together.
I just think there's something special about that. Something pure.

i really like this thing where websites will have separate "log in" & "sign up" buttons and if you click "log in" it takes you to a sign-up screen anyway so you have to click "i already have an account" and then it will ask if you want to sign in with your facebook account or with instagram or linkedin or deviantart or whatever, and if you choose "username & password" it asks if you want to put in your username or use your thumbprint, and once you put your username & password it emails you a confirmation code, and once you put in the code it says "do you want to give us your phone number for future sign-ins? do you want to sign up for facial recognition? do you want to give us your bones? give us your fucking bones?

Anyone with a milk allergy needs to be on high alert. In the midst of a flurry of ongoing food recalls, the FDA has updated its initial recall of a handful of Cal Yee Farms' chocolate products to the highest risk level. Originally, the FDA announced a recall of numerous Cal Yee Farm products because they may have contained undeclared milk, soy, wheat, sesame, FD&C #6, and/or almonds. The recall has now been elevated by the FDA to the most serious level of recall, Class 1, for only a few of the affected products: the company's dark chocolate almonds, dark chocolate apricots, and dark chocolate walnuts because the chocolates contained undeclared milk.

Ozzy Osbourne’s death is like the death of a crusty white 3 legged no toothed dog in it’s mid 20s. It’s shocking and heartbreaking, but the shock mostly comes from the fact that it lived so long and through so much bodily strain that you kind of subconsciously assumed it was immortal.
