And that scene is like sun shading warm light all over him and Zil can't help smiling.

from book one? i lovee drake and edilio unnaturally, drake was such an asshole for no reason and i love it and edilio is literally baby, he can do anything, if he's barbie im his ken y'know? ok, not sure who i hate from book one,, maybe orc? he was kinda a dick, but i feel like he was just doing what was expected of him albert a bit? but then again he did run a maccas, and he found that cat so probably not.. i don't think i really hated anyone from the first book, just a chunk of people i either didn't think were relevant or just didn't hate or love-?

from the whole series? QUINN he is literally my child, i would die for him over and over and i wouldn't care JUST LET HIM HAVE HIS BOAT and i vaguely remember zil doing something to hunter, and we can't have that so probably zil (<- was going to say gaia, but it seemed too dry of a response-)

Okay first of all a little background info, he's a vampire in my universe here

he doesn't remember his life before becoming a vampire or if there even was one, for all he knows he could have been created as a vampire

he had like a good 100 years where he was really a terrible person in the sense he couldn't control his hunger at all, he'd murder people by draining them

it took him awhile to get his bloodlust under control and he still struggles really hard with it

he drinks animal blood in blood bags and when needed donated blood that the government supplies him with to avoid any unfortunate incidents

his memory is really weird because he does have some that he can't place at all and he does not want to anyway, they are not pleasant

He is a very powerful vampire even by their standards, and having magic of course helps

he lives in the Transylvanian part of Romania, also (if I remember correctly from my visit there) it is a more wealthy ish part

he's a little goofy and he generally tries to be kind and understanding to other people, although he's a slight bit awkward

he doesn't think anyone could love him because he's weird (cough, it helps control his murderous monster personality, cough) and of course also because he's vampire, classic I know

regardless of this he goes out of his way to be helpful and understanding to the people around him, he's more talkative than Norway and more understanding of the youth/new world than England, also much better with patience. He can also be pretty sassy if he gets comfortable around you

he knows of the Twilight series, he thinks it's a little funny, even though he's outwards very much not amused at the whole sparkling in the sun thing

someone drunkly called him a glitter dick once, he got very confused and just looked at the person awkwardly, trying to figure out what the fuck is going on

His main element is fire, ironic really, but it does make him immune to being burned by stake or sun, at least that came when he mastered his element, so he's basically a daywalker (?), If that's the right term, idk

his eyes are blood red but a lighter shade than they used to be, because he's not longer an active killer

Anyways to relationship stuff!

I think a likely case of meeting Romania would be if you had magic too, especially fire magic, and it got way out of control, if it's bad enough the international security, and department of investigation, aka the ISDI (a sort of magical international force I've created for this world to make sense) would intervene to avoid incidents and assign The magic trio to help with the magic, which quickly turns into just Romania because he's honestly the best of them at teaching

now if fire is your main element, which we'll go with here, you would have a much easier time connecting to Romania, as in this scenario, your fires would connect on a magical level

this ensures a lot of fun shenanigans where he opens up to you and get unsure of himself in the sense of "how do I handle these new weird feelings?"

eventually he'd introduce you to his little helper, a fire spirit, a mischievous little thing intended on setting the two of you up

it's cute, there's a lot of training, based on kindness and understanding

if you were to become more powerful than him he'd never even consider being jealous, he'd be so happy for you and praise you for achieving something that incredible

if things get serious he'd want to turn you into a vampire like him, but first after you get married, you'd be his mate in vampire ways and legally

it's his biggest showcase of commitment, because it literally means he'd want to be with you until the end of time

he's such a romantic (becoming a vampire requires a certain amount of draining and also drinking vampire blood)

That's a funny thing actually, I'm from São Paulo and we Paulistas love to say "Oh, but we don't have dialects or accents"

But we do. Oh, we do!

We have the tendency of never pronouncing the R by the end of the words, meanwhile if the R is in the middle of the word like "porta" (door) we say it like "porrrrta"

Also, we always pronounce words ended in "e" with "i" instead it's "Leite quante" (warm milk) but we pronounce "Leiti quenti"

There's also our expressions, "Mano do céu!", "veio!", "rolê", "Mó cota!" And SO ON!

Everyone is "Mano", it's like saying "bro" and we use it all the time! Whenever we excitingly call some friend we start with "MANO--" it's the law😂

I imagine Zilvera at times has problems keeping up with the moral compass of some characters, namely Wyll and Karlach, specially with subjects as slavery, child abuse (as she might not consider some abusive traits as abuse), and others.

I can imagine them seeing her free the deep gnomes and being "thank gods you are against slavery", and because she avoids confrontation her reacting being like "Yeah, yeah, sure. Whatever helps us sleep soundly at night without more conflict than the one Shadowheart and Lae'zel bring."

Hi Anon! Thanks so much for your ask! This might get a bit, or very lengthy because I find it hard to stop talking, or thinking, about their story 😅😂💜

Yeah Zilvera's moral compass is basically "whatever leads to what I want is right."

The storyline I chose here was: co-op with the duergar elder → used regular explosives to blow open the cave and kept the Smokepowder → killed Nere and loot all his money from his body without being noticed. This battle turned into a favor the elder owed her, since he failed to pay what he promised. → freed the deep gnomes, including Barcus.

In Zilvera's eyes, these were all minor skirmishes, and the true enemies haven't shown their faces yet. She wanted to gather all possible advantages for the upcoming real war. The little guys with powerful explosives technology were worth investing in. And Nere? Who?

She has no sympathy for slaves or children. She thinks these people brought it upon themselves; powerlessness and compliance are the true crimes. Wyll and Karlach were great "good-guys" moral examples for her because their reactions were honest, instant, and easy to read. She influences people by making them to like her, and in general surface people like the good guys. She knew the concepts of slavery, manipulation, and abuse are triggering to many, so she prefers putting on an act. Nobody ever openly asks her opinion towards slavery, but if they did, she'd give sly, witty answers like "Of course, I ran a slave farm back home," or "Why? You need a mistress?"

If she was alone, she'd probably wrest control from the duergars by making shocking horror examples of her capability, then force the gnomes to figure out a way to blow open the rocks immediately. Her approach would be, "Your loved ones are in there too, right? Don't you want to save them? Clock's ticking, and their fates are depend on you."

In her opinion whipping slaves to make them work faster is foolish child's play—how can injured arms swing quicker? She has no need for defective slaves. She slaves with a long-term reward and punishment system. Learning the slave's drives and fears, creating conflicts of interest among them to ensure they don't band together, making them prone to betraying each other. She has a twisted appreciation for the true art of manipulation. The master's work should always be deeply ingrained and unnoticed. Flogging? Beating? Starving? Amateur. My spider baby was raised in Lolth's church after all.

Ironically, her core has always been a devoted lover, a giver, a pleaser. Her lover's approval means everything to her. Zilvera feels embarrassed by the way she loves so she's pretty shy in romance, even worse in bed. It's an endless cycle for her—she gets hyped by their affection and then hates herself for having no dignity. But the sweetness is all she wants in the world so she'd easily go back to the same track. I wrote a story curve for her and it'd eventually gets a lot better as their bond grows and she slowly learn self acceptance. Her moral compass had became guessing-what-Gale-likes ever since she fell in love with him XD She’s already hopeless way before they reached the forge. She always looks for opportunities to put a smile on his face, to make him proud of her. Anything she thinks he wouldn’t approve, she'd do behind his back or find another way. This tendency eventually sowed unease in herself. She thought that once Gale find out everything about her then he'll definitely leave. She thought their relationship was but a countdown on a tightrope which she tried hard to cling to. My HC Gale actually knew some of her secrets and struggles, but he was treating the matter carefully. He sees her true nature as quite selfless, a rare and precious attribute that he loves about her. Plus it's intoxicating for him to see how much influence he has upon her and how obvious that he is her priority always.

[DISCLAIMER] I wanted to build an anti-hero character and create a reasonable, relatable drow culture out of the straight silly evil frame so I built Zilvera this way. None of these represent my own moral opinion! XD

Boris: I thought I was just stopping by the airport for fuel and look at me now. What, a Gulfstream V who was modified to be able to hover in the air, was down because he flew into Russian from the Arctic? You've got to be kidding me

Eva: Stop complaining and get to work! Zil promised he'll pay for the bill once we get these idiots to safety

Alyona: *hanging around trying to wake Finn and Rod up and gave Holley her cocoa (with too much caffeine)

Daniil & Michaele: *Trying to make Siddeley stable while Eva gave the spy plane some transfusion and medical treatment

(After they were back in the hangar)

Zil: *typing the bill with an extremely experienced way

Finn: *Noticed

Finn: You're quite good at doing that

Zil: Believe me, I'd rather not be this good

Take II: Leland's reunion with the C.H.R.O.M.E. agents (if only it's single-sided)

Leland, back in his usual red paint and without his frame disguise: Finally, this is what I called freedom

Boris: You've been in here driving in circles and trying to climb the hangar walls for over an hour, why don't you get to explore the hangar next to this one? Zil gave you the permission

Leland: You putting things like that makes me not wanting to go

Boris: The lunatics will be back in no time, I don't want the five of you blowing up our cover

Leland: Fine… but you did know that they can held a party inside you, right?

Boris: *Stares

Leland: I'm leaving!

(After a single glance into the door of the next hangar)

Leland: *ran back the where Boris stays, and now with four forklifts pressing close onto his belly, sleeping soundly

Leland: You didn"t tell me it was THEM!

Boris, with his default bored expression: Figured you'll get it when you saw Siddeley

Leland: Sid was almost the only plane sticking around! He could've pick anyone else!

Boris: Shouldn't this be a happy reunion?

Leland: No. I'm not ready to be not-dead, and if I didn't explain good enough, Finn will probably- bloody hell, I don't even know what he'll say

Boris: You're overthinking. They will be awake in the afternoon, you'd better ready to be NOT-DEAD by then

Drow Lore 🕷️ Drow Terms Of Address (part 2)

More terms of address for drow characters and (Lolth-sworn) drow - drow interactions. This time a few tips on how to address your drow lover in various types of relationships 🖤

🕷️ Choosing A Lover - in a Lolth-sworn drow society, a female always makes the first move. In theory, she is free to sate her physical desire with whatever partner arouses her attention. In practice, though, it is not always that simple. Sometimes things get complicated: when the person she wants has already been claimed by another female, or is subjected to someone more powerful, or is a member of a rival noble house, or (in case of females) has much higher station than her.

Drow males cannot choose their lovers, at least not female ones. In a Lolth-sworn drow society, they have no right to consent - or to refuse to consent, for that matter. They are simply taken by females and they are expected to comply and satisfy them, since rejecting (or disappointing) a female is customarily punished. It is not uncommon for females to torture or even kill their male lovers on a whim.

Typical (female) drow pickup line is probably something similar to kla'ath ussa, jaluk ('serve me, male').

🔹 Drow can refer to their lovers as: xi'hum ('pet', 'plaything'), seriso ('lover'), m'ranndii ('mate'), also mrimm d'ssinss ('female lover') / mrann d'ssinss ('male lover').

Mrimm d'ssinss means literally 'inspiration of seduction / allure / charm'. Both mrimm d'ssinss and mrann d'ssinss are terms that may indicate some dose of admiration - they also sound quite intimately, like half-purrs, half-whispers.

🕷️ Lover Of A Noble Female - matron mother's chosen mate is called ilharn ('patron'), but she is free to take as many lovers as she wants to. A male lover who is not the patron of the House, but enjoys the matron's favors, is called parzdiamo ('male playmate'). A lover of a noble female with more or less established status can be called zil ('consort').

Being attached to a powerful female is often seen by drow males as a way to raise their social status - patrons (or favoured consorts) usually have rivals seeking to undermine their position.

Males born or adopted into noble houses, especially the most talented or promising ones, are treated in many ways like their matron mother's property. Matron mother has the right to decide which females can or cannot have them, and she may even "borrow" the most valuable males to females of other houses - in exchange for favors, information etc. Such males are sometimes "borrowed" for breeding purposes.

🕷️ Lover With Feelings - developing genuine feelings for your drow lover may be a very bad idea. Such a thing is not only dangerous (according to drow, all trust is foolish), but it is also seen as unbefitting a drow and forbidden - and can be punished with torture or even with death.

It applies especially to female-male relationships (the fact that Lolth really, really hates her ex-husband may have something to do with this aspect of Lolth-sworn drow culture).

Drow do fall in love, though - very rarely and mostly with other drow, since they tend to perceive non-drow as inferior. According to Drow of the Underdark, 3.5e: "the sudden urge to consider someone else's well-being is a strange and frightening experience [for a drow]. Many drow react violently to love, seeking to destroy the object of their affections before they are further "corrupted" by the odd sensations. Those who don’t become violent usually make every effort to either impress or dominate the object of their affections, depending on their relative social standing. (...) for even the most loving drow sees little difference between intimacy and possession."

🔹 Drow can refer to a loved one as 'che ('loved one' - or at least as close as a drow term can get to the meaning of this word) or 'chev ('beloved'), or even quor'vlosara ('soulmate').

🔹 Drow can also use terms of endearment like ussta ssinssrigg ('my love / longing / passion' - ssinssrigg traditionally means all these things, also 'greed' and 'lust'), or ussta alurlssrin ('my love' - alurlssrin means unselfish, deep love; it is a term introduced to drow language by Eilistraeans, so probably not widely known in the Underdark).

🔹 (From BG2) ussta mzilst ssin'urn ultrin ('my most handsome / beautiful conqueror') - words of a female drow who has fallen in love with a man from the surface.

In a Lolth-sworn drow society, lavishing your drow lover with sweet words and tender gestures is something that should be done only in private - being discovered can mean torture and / or death for one or both of you.
