Oh, do I! It's been a hot minute since I read any of these, but I'm in A Mood so I'm frantically filtering for tags in my bookmarks and trying to find things I vaguely remember. This revelation I had at 1 am yesterday should be a joyful one but has in fact made me very sad. Where I live, being trans is basically unheard of, all but illegal (I was surprised to learn there even was transcare here, but of course only in private clinics and the first step to getting gender reassignment care is literally going to a psychiatrist and getting diagnosed as mentally ill, so private doctors may "treat you" :))))) so it's not only expensive but even if I got through it all, my country and my family would never ever accept me.

But, now it's a new day and I made spaghetti and I feel much better with a full stomach, so even though it is not fun to be trans without a modicum of support from the government or people around me, or even available paths to go on without spending all my life savings on it and then being ostracized after it all, I am young and I have my entire life ahead of me. I can do my best, I can live as I have until now and I can one day reach my goal of being who I actually want to be. Who knows, maybe a couple years from now our government will finally change (for the first time in like 20 years there is finally a more left leaning party with even a tiny chance of winning and that's really exciting this is the first time this has happened pretty much since I was born!!) and it may become easier then. Or I could move the fuck away once I am able to like I've wanted to for years with friends who enjoy my company.

In any case, I understand myself a little more now, and that gives a certain confidence and relief, as well as a new life goal to work towards. May we all one day live in a world where people (the government) mind their own business and let people exist as they want to.

Nevertheless, I will still be here writing pretty boy torture :D

I hope you're referring to "roze koek" aka a classic Dutch cake with pink frosting because neither I nor my Dutch friend are familiar with the term "rozenkukken." I should also mention that I'm not actually super familiar (or at all) with Dutch snacks; I just know some, and I will absolutely rave about them because that's what you do when you have known a Dutchie for over seven years. It's a canon event. I have no say in it.

That little ramble aside, let's get to your actual question. I like your headcanon. I think it would be easy to assume that Flora would be into all things pink and sweet, and I definitely think the rest of the girls would assume the same. (Fun fact: there's a study that suggests that people with a sweet tooth tend to have sweeter dispositions—check it out if you want to, but take it with a grain of salt.) I imagine Flora would be into earthy and nutty flavors, with a touch of sweetness, but not too much. I can see her enjoying homebaked sweets and pastries but hating the store-bought treats because they taste too sugary and artificial to her.

Like honestly a lot of ffvii's og is about Cloud reclaiming those part of his life i'd say?

because Cloud is heavily traumatized and put on a tough face like he has no emotional investment in anything, but as the OG goes he ends up experiencing so much that he gets to figure out what he actually loves. What he is outside of his dream of becoming a Soldier which have been crushed long ago.

And you see it in the little things. The way he finds it so cool to play around with his sword. The way he gets so impressed by seeing Cid's mechanic inventions. The way he was very happy to steal a bike for himself and enjoy the biker life. The way he likes to be a chocobo jockey, or how he jokingly talk with them. Later in the game he also have fun doing snowboard and stuff. In the Remake he also likes to breakdance. Like... He discovers so many things that make him happy and it's so cute to me.

There was the pain and everything but Cloud could find a bit of himself in all that noise again. And he's a nerd about it. that's so cute.

Remember folks! It's okay to feel angry, frustrated, and disappointed with the finale/season/show/character arc because THEY are the ones that fumbled the bag on this one, it was NOT just us seeing things or having unreasonable expectations. All of these expectations were perfectly reasonable and didn't even have to ultimately be about Buddie to still give Buck a coherent arc or 4. THEY laid the groundwork and then half-assed or abandoned it altogether for some flimsy house of cards and that is on them.

hello, here to recommend the parking spot series by @withahappyrefrain!!! it’s a Jake fic and I love it so much!!! Abby does a phenomenal job of making Jake annoy Venus without him being obnoxious, the slow burn of their relationship is so delicious (you’ll constantly yell at your phone for them to just kiss already!!) and of course once the feelings??? the sweetness and consideration in their relationship is beautiful. you can tell how much they love and care for each other in their actions and teasing. it’s so sweet, I love it so much.

Anon, I'm right there with you! The Parking Spot is one of my favorite Jake series, and Abby really solidified the Jake Seresin loves mean women agenda. Jake and Venus' relationship is so playful and fun, and like you said, you can really feel how much they like each other, even in the beginning.
