He could not recall a time when someone had handled him with such deliberate care. The tenderness, unexpected and unlooked for, left a breathless ache in his throat.
To his horror, he realized that he was weeping.
“Tenzing,” Laurence, and with shaking fingers, raised a hand to Tharkay's face. Tharkay drew in a sharp breath and pressed his cheek more firmly against Laurence's palm. Tharkay's eyes were closed, the skin beneath Laurence's palm turning wet. “Always. My hands for you always, Tenzing. “

Yandere!Stanford Pines & Borrower!GN!Reader
[PLATONIC] Borrowers are really tiny humans who "borrow" items and food! requested,,, am so sorry if this isn't what u expected 😔
Ford's toothbrush is missing.
In fact, many of his things have gone missing for the past few days. Did Bill possess his body again and decide to prank him?
His eyes catch color behind the toilet. Ah, there's his toothbrush. It must have fallen off.
When he picked it up, it was much heavier than usual. Of course, anything else could've been a reasonable explanation and not some tiny human holding onto the toothbrush for their dear life.
Ford doesn't let you escape, immediately bringing you to his office. You spit out profanities on the way, banging your fists on his fingers.
"Fascinating," he mutters, moving your limbs around. "You're just a tiny human."
"They call us borrowers," you say as you keep avoiding his hands. You notice something. "You have six fingers. Did giants always have that? Never noticed."
He suddenly feels smaller than you. "Not usually."
Ford learned that you actually lived under his floorboards. He had to compromise with you so that you would stop stealing his stuff.
"Roommates?" you tilt your head. "As long as you don't kill me, I guess. And I said I was going to return it!"
He doesn't believe you. He hums, scratching his chin. "Your species must have been hit by the light of height-altering crystals. I'm guessing the way your people survive is by stealing from others."
"Borrowing."
He gave you all sorts of delicious food. Well, they're mostly store-bought, but it's better than anything you've gotten before.
Not to mention his stuff. He had way more than what you were expecting. All the more to decorate your house and expand your collections! He's generous; you'll give him that...
There's something you can't shake off though. Ford's a weirdo if anything.
Bill Cipher knows about you. But he doesn't really care because you're just like any other creature that Ford has gotten. He'll only intervene if you manage to distract Ford from the portal.
So it's a good thing you're doing the opposite. You're actually helping in your own little ways, such as bringing him pen and paper.
Sitting on Ford's shoulder, you keep yapping about rats eating your house. He doesn't mind the noise, albeit he's not really listening, but it's so much better than silence.
He has fallen asleep. You grab the blanket from a nearby table and drape it over his body the best you can. This man does more work than your entire lifespan; it's so concerning.
"You don't want to try becoming a full-sized human? Why not?" Ford asks sincerely, almost concerned. You becoming not tiny is what you were supposed to be.
"Me? Turning into your size?" you make a disturbed face, "no thanks. I feel like my life would be more complicated. You're taking care of me, and that's enough."
He smiles. "Interesting."
Once again, you find him asleep on the desk. You search for a good spot next to his arm and curl up to his warmth, closing your eyes and drifting to sleep.
...You wake up to relentless movement. Looking up, you meet Ford's crazed, hectic eyes.
"You," he exhales, his voice sounding different. "Not here to steal my eyes, are you?"
Without warning, he grabs your body. You tremble. "Bill didn't tell you to, right? You're the perfect size to scoop out someone's eye..."
"Ford—" A bright flashlight shines on your eyes.
He forces one eye open. A few seconds pass. "You're, ah, clear. I'm so sorry."
The human finally lets you go. "What the hell was that?! Are you okay??"
"There's something dangerous here," he winces as he goes around the room, locking all possible entrances. "We have to stop everything we've ever worked for! What I worked for!"
He walks over to you, a smile curling on his lips. "Don't worry. I'll protect you, little borrower. Won't let him lay a single finger on you."
Before you could even blink, you're pushed inside something. You quickly run to the front, holding the bars that kept you away from escaping. "Wait, let me go! You're being crazy!"
"I know this seems bad, but it's only temporary," he replies, locking your cage. "Not until I finish the protection around the house. I'll have to call Stan..."
yes he has cages.... he caged shmebulock 😭
gotta thank @shabbyshoebox for this treasure (tell me if u wanna be untagged!)

you’re attacking that neopagan kind of birthstone post about druid plants, but could you please elaborate or at least clarify the explicit trope that is being used that has been historically weaponized?
I used to spend about a good third of my time on this godforsaken website attacking that idea, but sure, I'll do it again. This will be a bit of an effortpost, so I'll stick it under the readmore
There is a notion of 'celts' or Gaels as being magicial and somehow deeply in touch with nature and connected to pre-Christian worldviews that the people who decided to make up the "Celtic tree astrology" used. This is also why Buffy used Irish Gaelic as the language of the demons, why Warhammer uses Gaelic as Elvish, why garbled Scottish Gaelic is used by Wiccans as the basis for their new religious construct, why people call themselves Druids to go an say chants in bad Welsh in Stonehenge, or Tursachan Chalanais, or wherever, etc etc. This stuff is everywhere in popular culture today, by far the dominant view of Celtic language speaking peoples. Made up neopagan nonsense is the only thing you find if you go looking for Gaelic folklore, unless you know where to look, and so on and so on. I could multiply examples Endless, and in fact have throughout the lifespan of this blog, and probably will continue to.
To make a long history extremely brief (you can ask me for sources on specifics, or ask me to expand if you're interested), this is directly rooted in a mediaeval legalistic discussion in Catholic justifications for the expansionist policies of the Normans, especially in Ireland, who against the vigourous protestation of the Church in Ireland claimed that the Gaelic Irish were practically Pagan in practice and that conquest against fellow Christians was justified to bring them in like with the Church. That this was nonsense I hope I don't need to state. Similar discourses about the Gaels in Scotland exist at the same time, as is clear from the earliest sources we have postdating the Gaelic kingdom of Alba becoming Scotland discussing the 'coastal Scots' - who speak Ynglis (early Scots) and are civilised - and the 'forest Scots' (who speak 'Scottis' (Middle Gaelic) and have all the hallmarks of barbarity. This discourse of Gaelic savagery remains in place fairly unchanged as the Scottish and then British crowns try various methods for integrating Gaeldom under the developing early state, provoking constant conflict and unrest, support certain clans and chiefs against others and generally massively upset and destabilise life among the Gaels both in Scotland and Ireland. This campaign, which is material in root but has a superstructure of Gaelic savagery and threat justifying it develops through attempts at assimilation, more or less failed colonial schemes in Leòdhas and Ìle, the splitting of the Gaelic Irish from the Gaelic Scots through legal means and the genocide of the Irish Gaels in Ulster, eventually culminates in the total ban on Gaelic culture, ethnic cleansing and permanent military occupation of large swathes of Northern Scotland, and the destruction of the clan system and therefore of Gaelic independence from the Scottish and British state, following the last rising in 1745-6.
What's relevant here is that the attitude of Gaelic barbarity, standing lower on the civilisational ladder than the Anglo Saxons of the Lowlands and of England, was continuously present as a justification for all these things. This package included associations with the natural world, with paganisms, with emotion, and etc. This set of things then become picked up on by the developing antiquarian movement and early national romantics of the 18th century, when the Gaels stop being a serious military threat to the comfortable lives of the Anglo nobility and developing bourgeoise who ran the state following the ethnic cleansing after Culloden and permanent occupation of the Highlands (again, ongoing to this day). They could then, as happened with other colonised peoples, be picked up on and romanticised instead, made into a noble savage, these perceived traits which before had made them undesirable now making them a sad but romantic relic of an inexorably disappearing past. It is no surprise that Sir Walter Scott (a curse upon him and all his kin) could make Gaels the romantic leads of his pseudohistorical epics at the exact same time that Gaels were being driven from their traditional lands in their millions and lost all traditional land rights. These moves are related. This tradition is what's picked up on by Gardner when he decides to use mangled versions of Gaelic Catholic practice (primarily) as collected by the Gaelic folklorist Alasdair MacIlleMhìcheil as the coating for Wicca, the most influential neo-pagan "religion" to claim a 'Celtic' root and the base of a lot of oncoming nonsense like that Celtic Tree Astrology horseshit that started this whole thing, and give it a pagan coat of paint while also adding some half-understood Dharmic concepts (three-fold law anyone?) and a spice of deeply racist Western Esotericism to the mix. That's why shit like that is directly harmful, not just historically but in the present total blotting out of actually existing culture of Celtic language speakers and their extremely precarious communities today.
If you want to read more, I especially recommend Dr. Silke Stroh's work Gaelic Scotland in the Colonial Imaginary, Dr. Aonghas MacCoinnich's book Plantation and Civility in the North-Atlantic World, the edited collection Mio-rún Mór nan Gall on Lowland-Highland divide, the Gaelic writer known in English as Ian Crichton Smith's essay A real people in a real place on these impacts on Gaelic speaking communities in the 20th century, Dr. Donnchadh Sneddons essay on Gaelic racial ideas present in Howard and Lovecrafts writings, and Dr. James Hunter's The Making of the Crofting Community for a focus on the clearings of Gaels after the land thefts of the late 18th and early 19th century.
@grimdr an do chaill mi dad cudromach, an canadh tu?

Hello! I binged a lot of your Yautja fics over the last couple days, and I love Vic and Uihoy. However I've had an angst thought in my head about one day, Vic would be alone. The human reader has a much shorter lifespan, and Uihoy is much older. They'd both lose the reader first, but then Vic would lose Uihoy one day too. Despite him teasing Uihoy about his age, maybe something happens that reminds Vic that both of his partners will one day leave him. How does he react in this scenario???
Till All Are One
Character: Vic'tao (Male) x GN!Reader x Uihoy (Male)
Word Count: 3062
Summary: Throughout the years, you've given them the best of memories and new scars. Vic'tao never expected it to be so sudden. He doesn't know how to reel it in after everything he's been through.
Author Note: Okay... this actually made me cry. I gave this idea thoughts before in the past but never dwelled on it. BECAUSE they'll always have each other!
Masterlist
Ao3
Excitement vibrated through his blood. Each block and strike only caused his energy to spike higher and higher. The hunt always called to him. It would always call to a hunter.
A snarl exploded through his throat when his claws raked through skin and flesh. The beast gave a hearty cry and stumbled. It went head over end and slammed its back into the ground. A long divot in the ground was created when it slid a few feet. Then, it scrambled to get back onto its feet. The off yellow Yautja was on it before it could.
Two sharp blades rammed straight into soft tissue. A piercing roar that rumbled the ground and shook the trees exploded into the air. Vic’tao held on tightly. Black claws refusing to let the trophy escape from his grasp. He doubled down his efforts and skimmed the blades up the beasts furry torso. More black blood stained the leafy ground and himself. Vic’tao bathed in it then was promptly thrown off.
Pain exploded up his back when he slammed sideways into the trunk of a tree. A grunt pushed all the air out of the yellow Yautja’s lung. It left him dazed for a few precious moments. He was able to gain his bearings just to see the barreling form of the beast launching itself through the air. Vic’tao yelped a curse and barely had time to roll to the side.
Claws raked at his exposed flank. His own neon green blood spilling to add to the mixture.
Vic’tao spun around while on his hands and feet and narrowed his bright yellow eyes on it. The creature had its claws lodged into the trunk of a tree he once was pinned to. A smug smirk sprouted to life underneath his biomask. His dah'ktes are retracted back. Vic’tao pulled out his ki'cti-pa and expanded it to its full length.
Right as the beast unlogged its claws. Another curse fell from hunter’s mandibles. Vic’tao is forced back as the prey lunged at him again the moment it was free. An untamed wildness in its horizontal slit eyes. He wanted to claim it as his and hang it above the shared bed back on the ship. A gift he would give to his two mates.
Blood dribbled out of a new cut on his forearm. Immediately, his thoughts are brought back to the present. Dangerous, deadly fangs are aimed at his face. Vic’tao thrusts his ki'cti-pa into the beast’s open maw. It narrowly dodges the hit. The tip slicing at its cheek. It slithers its head to the side and latches onto the combistick in his hand.
The weapon is torn from his grip and crushed between teeth he nearly met. Anger washed over Vic’tao. Red, hot, burned through his veins as the treasured combistick is tossed to the side. His razor sharp dah'ktes slip out of their sheaths, slicing through the air. A deep bellow vibrated through his chest. His sight completely narrowed on the beast. He will kill it. He will skin it. He will take the skull. For Uihoy. For his treasure.
With a roar like howl, Vic’tao sliced through the air. As sharp as the blades on his arm. It didn’t had time to comphred the speed he extruded before its head lolled onto the ground. The body stayed upright, as if trying understand what had happened. Then, it dropped. Black blood soaking into the leaves and dirt ground.
Another bellow shook the very ground he stood on. Victory. Vic’tao’s chest heaved with each deep breath for the nitrogen and oxygen in the air. His eyes wide and snapped to every tiny movement or sound around him. But, he forced himself to ease into a calmer state and looked down at the head at his feet. With a huff, Vic leaned down and lifted it up. This thing nearly killed him. A story he could not wait to tell his mates back at the ship.
Waste couldn’t come to the body. By him lonesome, Vic’tao carved the richest of meat from various areas. The black meat was stored in a bag on his back. Safe and secure. The Yautja departed to let scavengers to take care of the rest he couldn’t carry or use.
By the time he arrived back at the ship, the sun had lowered itself in the sky. Pink and orange danced across the darkening sky. Vic’tao took a moment to look up and find the sight beautiful.
Once in sight of the ship, Vic’tao slowed his pace until coming to a stop. Tension filled the air in way that made his chest constrict. He almost lost his grip on the skull but his muscles tightened up. Vic’tao sprinted through the foliage and scrambled up the ship’s ramp.
All of his senses narrowed down on the strongest of his mates smell. His feet stumbled and nearly sent him flying into a wall. Vic’tao was barely able to catch himself in time to enter the shared bedroom.
In all of Uihoy’s glory, he was knelt down in the oval shape concave bed. The elder’s great head bowed.
The skull dropped at Vic’tao’s side. He took a tentative step forward. Then another. Until stood at the edge of the bed.
Wrapped in softest of furs was the ooman that wormed their way into their lives. Their eyes were closed. No movement. Their chest didn’t rise or fall.
He stumbled into the bed while ripping off his biomask and tossing the damned thing away. “No, no, no,” the hunter whispered and held his hands over your peaceful form. They shook.
A purple hand reached across and carded his fingers through Vic’taos. That brought the younger male’s attention up to his other mate. Tears prickled the corner of Vic’s dull yellow eyes. The life in them gone the moment yours left.
“Thi-this can’t be!” Words that further broke the elder’s heart. His fingers clenched Vic’s hand harder. “We… we had time.” There was plenty of time to spend their lives together. It felt like yesterday when they first met. This ooman that had carved their own space. Vic’tao… he wanted to go out and kill every creature he could lay his eyes on. Take all the lives. Because the love of his life was gone.
Even if he knew it would happen sooner rather than later. Ooman’s were fragile.
“Vic…” Uihoy trailed off at first. He didn’t know what to say in a moment like this. Your health had suddenly dipped without a moment’s notice. No amount of help from their advanced medicine would’ve saved you. Your suffering would’ve been prolonged. Uihoy couldn’t bear to see that, even if it meant for you to see Vic one last time. Your cries…
“I’m sorry. You… I couldn’t get ahold of you. They had suddenly just-“ Paya, it was difficult to get the words out. A male of great words couldn’t even tell his mate what happened. “Their health had taken a turn. It was sudden. I believe it was… organ failure. There was nothing I could do.”
Uihoy felt useless. With everything that Yautjas had, to save a ooman in a terrible moment wasn’t possible. The medicine they possess could do nothing. He had to watch their mate writhe and scream in pain until he put them out of their misery. Quality of life.
Immediately, Vic’tao’s head snapped over to the biomask discarded haphazardly to the side. His feet stomped across the metal floors. He swiped the metal off of the ground and forced it onto his face. With practice ease, he maneuvered to the incoming messages page.
Nothing.
A growl sounded from his throat. He zoomed into the settings. His heart dropped onto the floor. The notifications had been silenced. For the hunt. Automatically.
The mask was torn from his face and chucked into the nearest wall. It bounced off with a screech of metal and slide along the floors. Vic’tao turned and slammed his fist into said wall. A sizable dent left in his wake. But, Vic’tao didn’t care. He wanted to tear apart everything in his path. How could… how could he let this happen? He would’ve abandoned the hunt at a moment’s notice he knew.
All he has left was when you wished him luck and to bring home a good trophy.
He brought home a trophy. But you weren’t able to see it.
Tears dripped down and wettened the floor. The aches and pains in his body reactivated, tearing open wounds. The blood stained the floor alongside salty tears.
Warm, coarse hands touched at Vic’tao’s tense shoulders. He jerked at the feeling of another then let the muscles go lax. Vic’tao’s head hung, eyes staring blankly at the metal floors. Blue-grey tresses curtained around him. It took every single ounce of will left over inside of him not to collapse into his mate’s arms and sob.
The purple Yautja guided him around to face him. A gentle hand tucked underneath Vic’tao’s jaw and picked up his head slightly. Just enough to see those dull eyes. A sight that broke Uihoy’s heart.
“Vic-“ Uihoy started.
“Don’t! I failed. I failed them. I failed you. I should’ve known. I should’ve sensed it,” Vic’tao put himself down and ripped away from Uihoy’s soft touches. Said male whimpered and let his arms fall to his sides. “I should’ve never left to go on that hunt!” You had wanted the meat and begged Vic’tao with those sweet eyes of yours to get it.
If only.
A tense quietness entered the air. Orange eyes stared at yellow and blue scales. Uihoy sighed and stepped back up to his mate. His thick arms encased Vic’tao’s waist. The male tensed up at first then turned around. His own arms latched onto Uihoy like a life line. He was all that Vic’tao had left in this word.
A tough exterior to the outside world. Once you break through, he’s one of the most loyal, softest, strongest people you’ll ever meet. Even after his heart is shattered by death.
.
Throughout the years, it did become easier. That strain on his heart weakened slowly but surely. Don’t get him wrong, he still is extremely heartbroken with their little mate’s passing. It still is heavy on his heart. But… he learned to live with it. That’s what made life just slightly easier. He kept you close. The trinkets you’ve created for them decorated them or their ship.
Held close to their hearts.
They had found a space among the planet you had passed on. Small, shrouded, but they learned when night fell. The spot lit up with rocks that reacted with the three moons above. Like its own stars.
Your body had been laid to rest and covered in a hole no creature would get to. The weapon you had created for him that was destroyed was placed as the marker. The one item he departed without. Everything else, despite it breaking, he kept it in the workshop area. Vic’tao never tried to fix them. They were left to their original state. The items you created with your bare hands.
Like no other day, both Yautjas find themselves deep within the brush. The breeze flushing into their face. Downward from their prey. Prey that could feed them for a while. A hunt for survival rather than another trophy to add to the wall.
Each Yautja adorned in their armor, biomask, and weapons glanced at each other. Their eyes hidden. But they knew. They somehow knew what the other was saying without a single word. A team that’s been together for two hundred years at least.
Uihoy moves first and pushes past the foliage that hides them from sight. His feet silent on the plain-like grounds. He’s the first to reach an old, hoofed creature. The information is relayed back to Vic’tao.
Said Yautja begins to stalk around in the same manner. His head on a swivel while going in from a different direction. To block off the way back into the herd. They had to drive it away from the rest of the herd. Far away enough the big buck won’t dare leave the others behind to save this one.
“In position,” Vic’tao whispers over the comm. system, eyes watching the lumbering giant feed. Muscles relaxed, tail swaying every once in awhile, head down. Uihoy gave a short response.
Each waited until the count of three.
Like coordinated hunters, they sprung from the underbrush, weapons at the ready. Uihoy drove his combistick into the brown, wiry hide of the creature. The sharp end slicing through its flesh like paper. It ended up in a spot after the ribs end next to the spine.
Vic’tao latched onto the other side with his wrist blades entering at the muscular shoulder area. Red blood sprayed at first, coating his newly cleaned armor.
The creature cried out a warning and pain while it attempted to rear up. Vic’tao shifted down to bring his weight more on the front. The added five hundred pounds prevented it from throwing them off. It’s large, sharp horns were thrashed wildly, side to side. Vic’tao felt one hit its mark at his flank and dragged him up.
The only thing that saved him was his blades. Vic’tao stayed attached to the beast and slammed back down. Green blood poured from the terrible wound on his side. He locked his jaw. The blades are pulled out and aimed at the jugular.
It bucked its hips up. Uihoy tumbles into Vic’tao. The younger male misses his shot and is forced to grip the horns he was once sliced with.
Uihoy is thrown down onto the vulnerable ground. The air knocked out of his lungs. He’s flat on his back, gasping for the lost air. Vic double downs his effects. The struggle is fierce. It takes all of his strength to turn the creature’s head away from Uihoy’s direction. Out towards the open, empty field. Away from Uihoy and the alerted herd.
Instead of seeing it, he felt when Uihoy was back on the haunches. Vic’tao grinned to himself and shifted his position back onto the shoulder. The purple Yautja is grappling to the hind quarters as the beast bucks multiple times. But, Uihoy knows better. His claws sink true into the flesh under wiry fur.
Bellows and bleats from other creatures echoed through the air from different animals. Its chaos as they began to stamped away from the scene, taking the big bull with them. One thing off of their plate.
Each buck and rear caused the creature’s energy to deplete. Both Yautjas have settled down in their respected spots and held on tightly, using up less force. It wasn’t long before it heaved for air and could on shake violently. Its head straining to reach for Vic’tao. Anything to gorge the Yautja with its horns. But, the younger male was able to watch out. A lesson well learned.
Then, its thick legs gave out from underneath it, sending it to the ground in a heap. Vic’tao stayed on the shoulders and glanced back at Uihoy. A simple nod sent to the other. The purple Yautja tore his combistick out from the backside. Purposeful strides led him to thick neck of the hoofed creature.
A simple bow of respect given to it before he reared the spear back.
Vic’tao is knocked off the back and falls to the ground. Hooves and a barrel underside is all he could see. Instinct drives him to miss getting stepped on. It’s like a dance on his back, twisting and rolling out of the way. Until he gets a moment to ram the dual blades on his wrist up into the soft underside of the beast’s belly. Into its heart.
One last cry. The yellow Yautja barely has time to roll away as it crumbled to the ground. He’s on his feet the instant he’s free, at the ready. But it doesn’t move. The eyes blank and void of all life.
A smirk graces his features. They had done it! He glanced over at Uihoy for a moment only to snap his head back. His mate was on the ground. Bright, green blood coated his entire front side. Vic choked on a gasp and rushed over to Uihoy’s gasping body.
The beast had gouged him with a horn. All the way from his belly button and up to his sternum. Uihoy lays on his side, inners spilled onto the ground. Like a gutted prey.
“Uihoy!” the younger Yautja cried and frantically moved between Uihoy’s face and the deadly gouge. Until the purple Yautja raised a shaky hand and cupped his cheek. Vic cried hard. They were too far from the ship. Nothing could save him even if he got him to the ship.
He felt like he was losing everything all over again. All those years ago with you, their little ooman, little hunter. “Please, no.” Vic’tao carefully rolled the elder onto his back and crowded his face. Gentle, trembling hands gripped Uihoy’s features.
The two shared one last kiss.
A tug on his tress had Vic pulling away to find the dying eyes of Uihoy. “Put me… out. Can’t suffer, like this,” the elder pleaded with Vic’tao. His yellow eyes snapped wide. Tears continuously dripping down his face. Vic couldn’t believe what he was being asked of. Kill? Paya save him.
As Vic says his mate’s name, Uihoy tightened his grip. “Do… it.” He wasn’t dying quick enough. He was suffering, bleeding out with his guts spilled to the ground like prey.
Vic’tao swallowed hard around the building lump in his throat. The blades on his wrist had been retracted after the kill. His eyes find Uihoy’s as he raised the razor edge to the elder’s throat. With a simple slash, blood drains quicker. Uihoy is gone in less than a minute.
The sun rises and falls for some time. Vic’tao stays there at his mate’s side despite the growing need for food and hunger gnawing at his insides.
For once in a long, long time, the male was alone in the universe. Once a family full of love and laughter and teasing. Only left to be a grouchy, snarling, bitter male to face the universe. He’ll soon meet Cetanu. He’ll soon see his mates again.

Tiny Town Challenge Expanded - The Sims 3
The inspiration for this challenge came from Deligracy's Tiny Town challenge for The Sims 4 (Original rules HERE). I loved the idea of the challenge, but The Sims 3 has a huge advantage: it already has an open world, so the houses didn't need to be restricted to one lot, but instead, we could build a real community. That's why, in addition to translating, I took some time to adapt it in the best possible way to everything that TS3 offers us.
I kept the characteristics of the Sims from the original challenge as best as I could, but adapted them to keep them as "autonomous" as possible.
I have all the expansions and stuff packs, so feel free to do only what fits into what you already have in your game and/or adapt it as best you can.
When I saw the Stardew Valley map by @boringbones, I felt this would be a perfect match! You don't have to start on the same map as me, but I strongly suggest you start on a tiny or small mapto really have the proximity between the lots and, even better, if it's empty so you can populate it as you play with the Sims.
I'm just starting to play this challenge, so not all the rules have been tested. I will adapt as needed and welcome suggestions.
Tags: #TinyTownTS3 #tiny town challenge ts3 or tag my "@". I would love to know you're playing too. 😍
The Goal
The goal of this challenge is to build a town with tiny houses for up to 16 Sims (depending on whether you want to use mods or not or which packs you own) that match their desires and skills.
You can watch my gameplay of this challenge on my YouTube channel here. (link to be available soon)
The Stardew Valley map can be purchased here (link for download).
The Rundown
Each Sim has a set skill that you must utilize to fund the construction of their tiny home. For example, Frank Stem likes flower arranging, so you must sell flower arrangements to fund his Tiny House build.
You must also represent each Sim's favorite style and color in the build (see the Sim characters below). You can only work on one Sim's house at a time, moving each Sim in individually as you "unlock" them.
To "unlock" the next Sim, you must complete the previous Sim's home.
How to Play
Start by moving your first Sim into a lot of your choice.
To select your first Sim, you can use an online randomizer or simply choose your favorite.
After moving your first Sim in, use a money cheat to set the Sim's money to $0.
Each Sim should start on their lot with their skill item of choice and some useful items. They also start with a sleeping bag (requires Generations), a mini fridge, and an All-in-One Bathroom (requires Island Paradise, Into the Future, or Movie Stuff). Feel free to adjust these items if you don't have the necessary packs. After placing these items on the lot, set the money back to $0.
After finding your skill items, start earning Simoleons by selling your creations!
Use this money to build your Sim's tiny home!
Since we don't have a sales table in The Sims 3 like we do in The Sims 4, I suggest that all collectibles and creations be sold at the consignment store (requires: NRAAS Consigner - [link HERE]).
Extra Rules and Ideas
Your Sims can contribute to community areas to help other neighbors when they move in and to create a pleasant sense of community and lifestyle. Ideas could be a shared laundry, bathroom, BBQ area, garden, central square, pool, etc.
As you play, your town will grow and your community will become fuller. When you reach the last Sim, you can go back to playing with the first family, and here, my suggestion would be to put everyone in a rotational household using Story Progression and evolve with each family.
If you don't have all the necessary packs, feel free to alter the challenge to suit the packs you have, or use the base game features. There are many ways to make money, including tasks like collecting valuable objects or careers.
You can play on any lifespan, but I suggest playing on epic or disabling aging altogether to get the most out of your Sims.
According to the original rules, you can use cheats, rewards, and anything else to make it easier, but keep in mind that the easier you make it for yourself, the less challenging it will be!

I know this isn’t very in line with the usual “haha magnus archives worm lady” posts I usually make, but this is very important to me and I want to spread as much awareness as possible.
One of my favorite games of all time is Dead Cells, a fantastic indie roguelike developed by Evil Empire. Recently, it was announced that it’s upcoming 35th update would be the last one for the game. Now, let me start off by saying that on its own, this isn’t what I’m upset about. The fact that Dead Cells has gotten as much support as it has over the years is quite frankly incredible, and 35 updates, most of which have been free and very high quality, is an amazing amount of support. Rather, I am more concerned about the circumstances behind this announcement.
The announcement was…off, for a number of reasons. For one, Update 35 has been in Alpha and Beta on Steam for a while now, and it’s not exactly an update you’d expect the entire game to end on. Still quality, but not exactly a “grand finale.” Also strange was how long it’s been in alpha and beta, as it seems to have been in development hell for over six months. And finally, it’s clear that there was so much more planned for the game. For example, 2023 was said to be the biggest year for the game, and yet we only got two updates. Granted, one of those updates was very big, but not nearly big enough to really live up to the title of “biggest year so far.” By all accounts, it definitely seemed like there was some sort of internal issue that cut the planned lifespan of the game short. If so, that would be very unfortunate, but I would have been willing to accept there was probably nothing that could be done. However, recently some information about what actually happened has shown up, and….yeah I’m pissed.
For those who didn’t know, Dead Cells was originally made by a team named Motion Twin, but after the fourth update, most of the people working on the game left to form their own team, Evil Empire. Evil Empire has developed every update for the game since that split, and yet, they are rarely credited as the makers. Motion Twin is the company that promotes all of the new updates, as if they made them, and unfortunately very few people know which company actually makes the game. Recently, Motion Twin announced a new game called Windblown (proclaiming it was made by the same team as Dead Cells, when it certainly wasn’t), and based on recent interviews with Evil Empire, we learn that Motion Twin pulled the plug on Dead Cells against Evil Empire’s wishes. Evil Empire loved making the game, and planned to continue updating into 2025, expanding the gameplay and lore, yet Motion Twin decided to pull the plug, either to promote Windblown (which if so…why? You can have two games?), or simply out of spite towards Evil Empire, which seems unfortunately possible due to the fact that the devs do not seem to have the best relationship. And to add insult to insult to injury, Motion Twin straight up lied by saying that Dead Cells stopped development because they “don’t want the game to feel bloated”. ….THEY DON’T EVEN MAKE THE GAME WHAT THE HELL?!
So yeah…this is a really terrible situation. Dead Cells is a game that means a lot to me, it’s helped me through some very tough times and there are many other people who hold the game dear to their heart. So please, anything from a simple reblog to making your own posts about the matter goes a long way. Spread awareness about what’s going on. Tell people about how Evil Empire has put so much hard work, love and dedication into the game, and wishes to continue. Tell people about the lies that Motion Twin have been telling. Pressure the two teams into splitting away from each other entirely, so that Dead Cells might get a chance at continuing development. (Be respectful about it though, don’t commit any forms of serious harassment.) It would seriously mean a lot to me and many others, and I would greatly appreciate it :).

Can you write Dante, Nero and Vergil with a reader who’s painfully aware of their painfully low life expectancy?
Like she’s aware that the boys may outlive her considering they are part devil and that fact has been gnawing at the back of her mind ever since to the point where some nights she had to cry in the bathroom to relieve some stress because of how much the thought had ceased her heart to beat everytime
“Oh my god…he’s going to outlive me, I want us to grow old together like those lovely old couples I saw on the street! Not this!”
“Will he remarry another woman if I die…I know this sounds extremely selfish but I can’t stand the thought of him being with another and that’s not me…Oh shit!”
“Can I extend my lifespan? Maybe I can make a contract with a devil that can grant me more years to live…if it means being with him forever till we’re out of grace”
Yes I can, please enjoy!
Sparda boys + V x Reader with low life expectancy headcannons
¤ Dante ¤
-You knew that Dante was going to outlive you since he was half demon and your life expectancy was...low.
-You tried hard to make sure he never knew, locking yourself in the bathroom to cry, and being sure to come up with some excuse whenever he saw you with puffy red eyes.
-You were saddened when you realized that you would never get to experience the joy of growing old together, because it was unlikely you'd live that long.
-There was the possibility that Dante would remarry after you did, and selfish though that may be, you couldn't stand the thought of another woman getting her hands on your man.
-You wanted to increase your lifespan, but how? Medications could only do so much, and you only had so much money. The idea of asking a demon for help came to mind, but you decided that would be a last resort.
-Dante eventually found out, either by eavesdropping on you whenever you disappeared into the bathroom or by other means, and was quick to reassure you he would find a way to increase your lifespan that didn't take away your soul, and if he couldn't, he would simply have to accept reality. But he would never forget you. You're his forever.
-"C'mon, cheer up. You got any idea how precious you are to me? You're my baby forever, even if you leave this world, I'm still gonna love you, and no one but you. Now shh, stop worrying. Want some ice cream? My treat."
■ Vergil ■
-Realizing that Vergil would outlive you was one of the most crushing discoveries of all time.
-You would never get to grow old together, unlike those happy looking couples you see on the street or in the park.
-There was also a chance that Vergil would move on when you died, and even though you were selfish for thinking this, you didn't want anyone else to have him.
-There weren't many ways to expand your lifespan, and most of them were out of your reach, so you fell into a deep depression because of this.
-It wasn't too hard for Vergil's watchful eyes to discern you were upset, so he quickly confronted you on the matter.
-Learning of what frightened and saddened you made him scoff. What a fool you were for thinking he could ever consider anyone to be more special than you. You were perfect, the love of his life and his eternal soulmate. Even in death, you were his; he would keep you in his heart until it stopped beating.
-"Hush now, there is no reason to cry. You will not be leaving me anytime soon, I won't let you. You cannot escape me, even in death."
□ Nero □
-You wanted to live your whole life with Nero, but apparently, that wouldn't be happening.
-You'd never know the peace of just growing old together, raising a family and maybe getting a pet along the way.
-And when you do depart from this world, there was a chance Nero would move on and marry another. Selfish as it was, you hated the thought of someone else getting your precious boy.
-You considered making a deal with the devil to increase your lifespan, but Nero thankfully caught on to your gloomy mood and asked you what was wrong befkre you could do anything you'd regret.
-He was heartbroken upon discovering how much your condition was bothering you, and was quick to scoop you into his arms and hold you for a full hour.
-While doing this, he assured you that the two of you would work to find something that could prolong your existence, and if you couldn't, Nero would find a friendly demon (preferably an old friend of Grandpa Sparda's) who could. Either way, he wasn't letting you go, and if death took you from him, he'd never love again.
-"Hey, hey, calm down, ok? I love ya. Always will. You're staying with me till we both kick the bucket, I promise, I'll find a way to make that happen. Don't cry anymore, come on, I hate seeing you like this."
● V ●
-The mere thought of outliving V made your stomach churn.
-Who would care for him after you're gone? What if he got older and more incapable to move around by himself, then what?
-What if he managed to find someone else? You knew you should be happy if he heals from your loss, but still! Some other woman with your V? Unacceptable!
-You cried about this all day and night for quite some time, until the affects of your affliction became engraved on your face. V saw this, and decided to question you.
-You tearfully poured out your heart and soul to him, sobbing about how you didn't have much time left on this earth as others did, and how you were scared of what would happen when you died.
-V reminded you that neither did he, and how both of you would have to work together to find something to expand your lifespan, and if you couldn't you would go out together.
-"My poor Wanderer, despair not. Either we leave this world side by side, or we continue onwards holding hands. No matter what, we will be together. Nothing will separate us."

So if you dont mind me I was just going to ramble about my ideas surrounding This post.
long post!
... so it takes place in the far future, where humanity has mived on to live with the planet and live harmoniously (think solar punk). the reason for their success as a species can be traced back to these mysterious heroes, who have vanishes from the world and are now mostly regarded as myth.
the turtles themselves have aged weirdly. without the stress and tremendous pain of the apocalypse they do not seem to age like humans do. much like the Yokai they are based upon they find they have incredibly long lifespans.
and as they age, they move away from what ties them to being human.
they become mythic and ethereal.
I didnt have clear cut plans for most of them, but heres what i came up with:
Raph never stops growing, ever. while his brothers find suitable hights he gets ever taller. eventually he becomes too large to move about safely.
When this happens he voluntarily sinks into a deep sleep. his physical body becomes part of the landscape as the world carries on around him.
But Raph's not gone. he can still send out his projections, which without a close bond with his physical form become more and more abstract as time goes on and Raph becomes more separated from his physical body, still embedded in the landscape.
The locals call these forms their 'red angels' as they commonly lead lost children back home and protect wanderers from falling rock slides. they also look almost incomprehensible, their abstract forms overwhelming to the human eye, such a display of mystic power.
Donnie never stops working. his need to create insatiable. So he never stops. From the shadows he helps humans build their technology, expanding their collective knowledge with his own.
he pours his soul into his work.
his technology becomes inseparable from humanity.
and so does he.
Donnie's soul is present in every computer, interface, and screen. watching over humanity behind a curtain of coding.
hes spent so much time watching over humans and creating with them, that hes kind of... forgotten... what he last did with his body.
oh well. he can always build a new one.
Mikey never stops helping
Mikey has committed himself to the restoration of nature. during humanities growing pains a lot of the planet had been scarred by their errors.
So Mikey has been helping them fix it.
with the help of his mystic powers, which have evolved beyond all recognition, he twists the environment back to the health of its prime.
(large machines a big as skyscrapers aid him, purple light flooding their servers as they trudge through the landscape)
he gives so much of himself, so much of the light of his soul to nature that its started to give back. flowers grow where he stands, the wind ruffles his hair. he snores in whalesong. he can speak in the light trills of birds. the wind gales when he sneezes. and his scales become soft with moss
Leo has grown with the O'Neil bloodline. All his brothers startes distancing themselves from the family once April passed, unable to look at the faces of her descendants without being over come by grief. but Leo stays.
he looks the same as he did a thousand years ago.
#wow that was a lot to write#i hope you dont mind my rambling#rottmnt#rottmnt donnie#rottmnt raph#rottmnt mikey#rottmnt leo#rottmnt april#far far future au

fallen over, choi beomgyu.
🥥 ﹒ ! (>人<;)ᶻz ﹒★ beomgyu x fem!reader.
ꜝ ওফ্ফো ! WC1072. ₍synopsis: during a sunny evening, whilst running away from your daily existential crisis you understand the importance of exercise. and,
sort of acquaint yourself with a charming fellow with kind of slippery fingers, and the prettiest face you've ever seen.
✫ this is dedicated to my best friend @itz-yerin i hope you like it baby!!!
"Don't mind me guys," you choked out despite trying your best to conceal the fact that your lungs were desperate for a steady source of air going in and out consistently, and letting you know that the lifestyle you had chosen for yourself all this while might be the case of being eaten alive if a zombie apocalypse did end up occurring in the near future.
"Go ahead," you were too focused on making sure your nostrils weren't flaring more than usual than speaking in coherent sentences, "Go!"
Your best friend, albeit initially confused but upon noticing and analysing the hunched over cycle posture and the sweat dripping off your body like a waterfall, had taken her befuddled, and slightly concerned boyfriend for a lap, or four while found a nearby bench to sit down to recollect your breath and think over how to expand your lifespan by a few more years.
Battling the urge to completely abandon the cycle onto the street, you lugged it with you as you crawled to the section with the grass, and collapsed beside the fallen torture device. The exhaustion gradually evaporates off your body like dewdrops under the scorching gaze of sunshine in the mornings of june, as a stealthy serenity sneaks in amidst the chaos of your surroundings, transforming all the clamour into a state of halcyon white noise.
You closed your eyes, allowing the gentle breeze to graze your heated cheeks, adorning you with the fragrances of all the florals it has been carrying. The sunshine played hide and seek with the clouds, drawing an array of inane shapes on your face like a toddler, tickling you with its sparkling mischief.
It felt good; it felt fine, despite the concerns that had kept you awake all night. It felt like you were alive in the moment and that's all that mattered. The blades of grass prickling your back, the June sun showering you with its rays and clouds coming to your aid. The warm gust of wind consoling you as well as the slight droplets of ice cold rain—ice cold rain?
You opened your eyes to uncover the mystery behind the whiplash of the capricious weather but to further push into a frenzy of perplexity, the clear blue yonder mocked you as it boasted an expanse devoid of any dark clouds—but the fog cleared up, and the reason behind the sudden downpour was someone's passionate participation in a topic you couldn't quite over hear. The sugary droplet falling off your cheek, and onto the green blades, only to be replaced with a few more similar ones when the conversation took another swift swerve increasing the ferocity of the words coming out of your assailant's mouth—so fast you were even a lip reader would have to suffer.
A few droplets were already a hassle as they dried off on your cheeks leaving a very sticky residue, but you had to seriously draw the line when the entirety of the popsicle slipped from his fingers and hit you right on your face. Before you could even process the piece of ice that was stuck on your face, you heard the man gasp, followed by another gasp from the person he was arguing with, both of them rushing over to make sure you don't sue—except the other one ran to another direction for some reason.
You should be sitting up by now and giving them an earful and but for some reasons, you couldn't—one of the major one being the fact the twenty minutes you actually enjoyed cycling, and the other half an hour you forced yourself to continue transforming itself into a bothersome back pain, and secondly it was quite amusing your main assailant's slightly long shag hair moving up and down from this angle. Removing the popsicle from your cheek, you tried to sit yourself up.
"Are you okay?!" You attacker crouched down to meet you at your current height. His concerned laced eyes analysed your face before fumbling with his jeans pocket to get his handkerchief out, offering it to you, "I am so sorry for this."
You touched your cheek before accepting the handkerchief to dab it onto your cheek softly putting on a show for him—except water and a good few seconds of rubbing the syrupy consistency wasn't leaving your face. You knew that, he knew that, but the world depends on such unspoken courtesies.
"It's alright." You assured him meekly, focusing more of your energy to get yourself off the ground so you don't seem like a brat—despite it taking a little more that what it takes other people, as in like seconds, you were at least able to get your ass off the ground for a few inches when you noticed the concerned expression glazing over his pretty face, "I was cycling for a few hours so my legs just gave out," you lied.
He nodded and extended his hands for you to take, "I am Beomgyu," He introduced himself, and you gave him your name in return.
"I am sorry for what happened! I promise I will buy you a good cleanser of your-" Before the beautiful man, whose name you had just learned to be Beomgyu, could finish his benevolent promise to take care of any arising skin issues you may face, his friend whom you had deemed to have abandoned his friend in need, came running as though he had something important to announce—conveniently missing the laid out bike on the ground and as a result crashing into Beomgyu's back who in a sick game of domino had fallen over you before he could even process what had hit him.
You cursed under your breath when you clearly heard a few of your spine break, with the added weight of two men laid out on top of you earning the questionable looks from every passerby. You couldn't even complain if you wanted to after all it was your own fault leaving it laid out instead of just properly putting it away on standing.
"I went to go get wet tissue for the blunder you created," The top part of the stack, the runaway friend, groaned while wiggling his way out of the giant dog pile.
"And you couldn't announce it, Taehyun?!" The one directly on top of your stomach croaked before turning to look at you, "I'll pick up a tab of your chiropractor I promise."

SONIC 3 WAS SO GOOD!!!
Extended thoughts below:
The action scenes are by far the best they’ve ever been in the whole series. They’ve really improved how they visually represent Sonic’s speed. The only exception is the gravity scene at GUN HQ, which I think dragged on a little too long and overall wasn’t as impactful as, say, fighting a GUN mech with those same gravity abilities would’ve been.
Keanu is ok as Shadow. If you’ve seen the trailers, that’s about the level he keeps it at for the whole movie. I think I would’ve been more sold on him if he gave a bigger “MARIA!!” when she died.
In the first act, I felt like the movie was kind of on autopilot. Things just kind of happened without a ton of buildup, and the script kind of lacked flavor for the expository scenes. For example: when Sonic asks Olive Garden Guy™ about Shadow, he just starts expositing Shadow’s lore without anything like “this information is top secret, tell no one else about this” or “it’s painful to think about…I wish I could just act like it never happened” or even Sonic questioning how/why Shadow came from a meteorite. Just lore exposition without flavor from the rest of the cast. Throughout the movie, the dialogue felt very on the nose. I wish it was a little more subtle, but it’s a kids movie I get it.
On that note, the movie feels like it just has a checklist of SA2 iconography they had to tick off rather than more naturally integrating that kind of stuff into the plot. For the larger story it works well, like with Shadow and Maria, but stuff like the Chao Garden and “talk about a low budget flight!” just kind of felt…tacked on. In the moment it’s fine because I’m too busy aggressively pointing at the screen, but for someone not as invested in the series as I am, it feels a little random and clunky.
The movie really kicks up when Shadow starts having Maria flashbacks. The little montage they have with them together was so good. The cold cut to the record player stopping was so well done.
In retrospect, when just looking at this movie and not the rest of the franchise, I think Maria and Gerald’s relationship could’ve had some more focus. They never mention anything about Maria being sick in the movie, so it’s not clear why she’s there at the research station to begin with. That being said, Gerald telling Ivo “you’re no Maria” towards the end was gut wrenching. My theater audibly ooh’d.
@allshaftsfall and I were betting that the reason Gerald is still alive would’ve been through time travel shenanigans (which would set up the next movie), but, bizarrely enough, it just seems like Gerald is genuinely that old. He mentions he’s 110. But…how? Did he just survive that long? Did he use Shadow’s quill to expand his lifespan? It’s never explained.
I’m glad they had Knuckles and Tails continue to be proactive and do things instead of just being relegated to cheerleaders and/or comic relief. Knuckles in particular wound up hard carrying Sonic and Tails through most of the action setpieces.
There’s a scene where Tails talks to Agent Stone about being Sonic’s friend and not his assistant like Stone thinks he is, and Tails asks Stone “aren’t you and Eggman best friends too?” Stone replies verily sorrowfully “yeah…friends. Totally friends.” I know it’s meant to read as Stone wishing Eggman treated him better but I could not see it as anything other than Stone thinking “he’s my lover!” but thinking he can’t say that to Tails bc he thinks Tails is homophobic.
YET ANOTHER GOD DAMN CASPER REFERENCE. I cannot believe that both this and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, my two most hyped movies of the year, both had Casper references in them. I’m losing my mind.
I am so mad they didn’t actually kill off Tom. The setup was right there. They even parallel Sonic grieving him to Shadow grieving over Maria! But noooo he survives. When will we be free of human cop dad.
DUDE. The Super Sonic/Super Shadow fight was SO FUCKING GOOD. Worth the price of admission alone.
I kinda figured Live and Learn was gonna be in the movie going in from how much everyone’s been #KnowingSmile posting about it, but honestly? I was more hyped hearing Eggman’s theme from Unleashed start playing. It was way more of a “oh my god, it’s the thing!” moment. That being said HOLY SHIT LIVE AND LEARN PEAK!!!!!! The movie’s OST had a lot more of a rock influence and I couldn’t be happier.
I have some miscellaneous “I liked this better in SA2” stuff (pissing on the moon, Shadow’s heel-face turn, etc.), but all of them I understand why the filmmakers did what they did so they’re just nitpicks.
The end credits scene is kind of insane because it’s super long. It just feels like a scene from the next movie. Metal looks a little rough, but I’m sure they’ll polish him up for the next movie. They’re probably going to lean into Amy being a magic fortune teller girl given how she shows up in a dark cloak and floats in the air. I hope she’s gonna keep the fangirl energy, but I doubt it. Very interesting choice to do multiple Metal Sonics, though, especially since Sega only likes using the one Metal Sonic rather than having different copies running around. My prediction for the next movie is that Neo Metal Sonic will be the main villain and he’s controlling all the other Metal Sonics from afar.

Hi I am very hung up on "normal elven father" Like, Adaine eventually asks Nara whether it was weird to be parented so differently (lovingly) than all her friends, to Nara's baffelment Adaine talks about how Jawbone really takes care of her and Nara is like, yea dads are great, right? and at some point she suggests gently that hey, your parents were terrible parents because they were terrible, not because they were high elves
idk I like thinking about how limited Adaine's understanding of 'how to be an adult elf' is. maybe they do a little road trip around fallinel, expand her horizons a little
this post of mine i think encapsulates my feelings on adaine’s trauma with relation to her father/parents. It’s less that she doesn’t understand that she’s being abused and more than she doesn’t understand that abuse isn’t normal. It’s wrong that her parents treat her this way, but it’s wrong in a general sense—this has been normalized, isn’t that shitty? It’s not until she meets her friends parents that she realizes, oh, this actually isn’t normalized.
Still, part of her sort of thinks this is maybe just an elf thing. And then she meets Nara and her dad is… Closer to Gilear, if anything, than to Angwyn. Not in the pathetic way, but in the way he was on Fig's first day of school, or perhaps even before he found out about her being a tiefling. He's a bit vacant, yes, but not quick to irritate or anger. He doesn't understand teen lingo in a way that makes Nara cringe.
Adaine is reasonably perplexed by all of this. Nara winces after and says "sorry for my dad" and Adaine is so confused because he seems unreasonably perfect.
And then she sees Telemine and Hallariel, and so many other parental relationships among elves, and it's like everything she knew about family has been broken into pieces.
This isn't normal. At all.
Adaine cries and Nara comforts her as best she can, and Adaine realizes how little she actually knows about being an elf beyond what her parents said and what others have told her. Fallinel is not and has never been her home-- but she is still an elf. She wants to know more.
Fabian, bizarrely, knows more about High Elf culture than Adaine. He took a vested interest after sophomore year. Adaine, Fabian, and Zayn--who is going through similar struggles as Adaine with his own shitty elven parents--travel together, sometimes with Nara, sometimes just the two of them, over the summer. They visit the elves in the beaches and the mountains and the forests. They see different types of families. It is not all perfect. It is not all the way Adaine thought family was.
To Adaine, being an "adult elf" is a bit convoluted. First of all, there's the whole age business. Elves don't really categorize age as adult or child--for creatures with such long lifespans and so little features defining one as "old" or "young", it's sort of impractical to allocate a number of years to "growing" or "self-discovery" or whatever it is that adolescence is meant for. They're ethereal and majestic regardless of age. That's not an reason to abuse your child, though--if anything, sometimes it breeds more respect from parent to child, because you're going to be equally ageless eventually. Apparently the Abernants took this as an excuse to have ridiculously high and demanding expectations. Nara thinks that's utter bullshit, and honestly it's rather gratifying for Adaine to hear someone else rant about her parents. She likes Nara's, though.
At the end of the trip, Adaine stays with Nara for a few weeks. Nara's mother has servants who make lembas and tells embarrassing stories about when Nara was young that make her ears go red and lets them stay up late.
And it's nice. For the first time, Adaine does not fear Fallinel. She does not hate her heritage. She can be an elf, and elves do not have to be abusive. Her parents were shitty--that's their fault, not Fallinel's.

Hi teecup_angel! I want to tell you that I totally love your blog and all the love you put into Desmond! I just joined the fandom and I've spent days browsing your tags because I completely fell in love with Assasin's Creed and all its protagonists, but especially Desmond!! I was thinking of an idea and I'd like you to give me your opinion <3 ok, so this time Desmond would be in the USG Ishimura (Dead Space), maybe the world evolved and Desmond was born long after people conquered space travel, so in this world the brotherhood of assassins would be fighting against the templars and their idea of making everyone "one", that is, in this universe the templars would be the Dead Space Unitologists, and the fragments of Eden would become the Effigies. The Isu might be the creators of the Effigies , perhaps seeking to preserve their minds beyond their lifespan or share their knowledge with the universe, but Juno corrupted the inventions and it ended up in what happens in the video game. I don't know, I actually just thought that the bleeding effect and the schizophrenic illusions that the Effigies causes before the convergence are very relatable haha, and I just want to see Desmond kill necromorphs in an armored suit. I can't think of a way to bring his ancestors there though, maybe you can think of something? thanks for sharing your blog with us! it's become one of my favorites.
Aaawww, thank you!
Oh god, Imma be honest, I had an idea of a Dead Space inspired fic like… two years ago? Three? Around the time I was writing Zero Eclipse XD
It’s my most favorite scifi horror game. Anyway, the idea is that the Animus is able to operate because it uses an Isu artifact similar to the Marker that it can access one’s genetics and that is what’s being used to access genetic memory.
The Bleeding Effect is actually a side effect of the Animus using the Marker.
Of course, that idea was more on the side of a modern day AC fic with Dead Space-esque scifi horror element XD
And this one we’ll set in USG Ishimura and, full disclosure, I haven’t played the remake but I have been watching Roanoke Gaming’s scientific explanations for the remake’s necromorph so this is gonna be a blend of what he talked about and what I could remember from the OG game.
… of course with a twist because we’re making Dead Space’s plot the future of Assassin’s Creed.
So for this one, Abstergo has gone beyond the stars and started developing space related products. One of which are planet cracker class ships.
Hell, let’s go even further and say that they pioneered and lobbied for planet cracking, both for profit and because the materials they find in those planets they destroy have a higher chance of recreating Isu artifacts to its full potential.
Some even show promise of having applications that could potentially exceed what the Pieces of Eden are even capable of.
Because of this, Abstergo… no. The Templar Order expanded their circle of influence to other areas, including public trading company like CEC.
The Order has been too focus on the stars that they ignore the growing Church of Unitology and even ignoring most of what’s happening back on Earth.
The Brotherhood, on the other hand, have been keeping an eye on this church because there is something strange going on there and they actually believe the Templars have some deep connection with the church. (they don't in a sense that both Order and Brotherhood have been infiltrated by Unitologists but they don't know about it)
Not to mention, with the Templars’ hold on earth weakening because of their focus on space, the Brotherhood had been steadily growing in power, maintaining distant alliances with powerful people while keeping an eye on them at the same time.
The Templars’ greed to become more powerful than the Isus themselves is what sets up the tragedy of USG Ishimura.
Learning of the existence of the Marker in USG Ishimura led the Unitologists to set their own plan into motion.
Ishimura includes a lab where they grew clones that are kept in case a worker needs compatible organ transfer or limb… ‘recovery’.
In this place, a Unitologist clones a preserved DNA. This Unitologist used to be part of the Templar Order. As far as the Templars are concerned, he was still part of the Order. His task was simple.
Use the facilities to quickly develop the clone until it’s an adult and keep it in stasis until the time is right.
This clone is based on the preserved DNA of Subject 17, Desmond Miles.
.
Unorganized Notes:
Desmond wakes up once USG Ishimura the day the Marker ‘enters’ the Ishimura. Things are weird are shit because, Desmond’s last memories are about him dying to save the world in 2012, but everyone seems to know him as a member of USG Ishimura.
Things get even weirder when Desmond starts to ask questions about what his job was or who he was and no one can give him a concrete answer. When he try to press them, people just start to grow agitated.
Things become even weirder when a medical officer starts freaking out because he remembers Desmond but then he doesn’t and then…
The ‘disappearances’ begin.
Desmond has his hands full though because his Bleeding Effect has started to become… much more vivid. He swears he had felt them touch him, grazing the back of his hand with theirs, tapping his shoulder… He swears he can feel their warm breath as they whisper to him to…
“Bring us back”
It is unsure what the Unitologists want with Desmond but there are a few medical officers who requests him for daily check ups. Desmond is sus of them the most and that gives him the idea that it's his genes that's important.
Once he learns about how he was ‘born’, he starts to understand that his Bleeds want him to grow more of him. Bodies they can ‘inhabit’.
Whether this is true OR this is the Marker fucking Desmond up, pretending to be the Bleeds but actually using his emotional attachment to them to make Desmond do something for it is a question that Desmond didn’t even know he should ask.
Because by that point, the Ishimura was becoming swarmed by necromorphs
(Whether this turns into Desmond trying to survive the Ishimura or Isaac finding Desmond later on is up to you. If Isaac will be part of the story, either he’d find Desmond already under the thrall of the Marker and trying to make bodies for his supposed Bleeds or Desmond is placed under stasis or something similar and Isaac awakens him)
It would be fun if Hammond is actually an Assassin sent to check what the fuck is happening in Ishimura and he actually knows who Desmond Miles is. If you’re feeling ambitious, instead of Hammond, Kendra is the secret Assassin XD
#welp this absolutely got long#i just love deep space hahahaha#assassin's creed#desmond miles#ask and answer#teecup writes/has a plot#fic idea: assassin's creed#fic idea: dead space#fic idea: crossover#dead space#as usual here's teecup hiding more shit in the tags#i like the idea that the marker is fucking with desmond#and if desmond is successful in creating bodies#he sees them as his ancestors#but everyone else sees really disturbing necromorph#that scarily enough#has more intelligence than usual

thoughts on the webtoon rerelease and what it means for the fandom and author interactivity?
So I have to tell you, and maybe this is because I am turning 98 on my next birthday (July, mark your calendar), I don't understand what Webtoon does other than just be like, a fifth venue where this comic is available to read (after the Tumblr, the dedicated OMGCP website, the Kickstarter books, and the First Second ones)?
Here are two ideas I have:
Idea 1: Because Webstoon is actually built to host webcomics, it looks and functions for this specific webcomic much better than anywhere else it's already hosted? Tumblr is the platform it was made for but it also wasn't built for serialized storyteling and archiving, that website is ass and has never worked, and the comic wasn't made for the static medium of the graphic novel so there are some ways it's never translated. And, again, not to be in my 120s, but I was engaging with webcomics in the early-mid 2000s when platforms like Keenspot facilitated webcomics consumption. Webtoon is more similar to that platform than anywhere else you can read Check Please. Maybe it's even more ideal.
Idea 2: It seems like Ngozi has, over the past couple of years, intermittently tried to generate new interest in the comic. She has posted a few times about wanting a TV show. She has posted on her Discord about having new ideas for OMGCP stories and/or projects. I can think of two (not mutally exclusive) things she might be getting out of putting OMGCP on a new platform. One, she may miss the story/characters and, after three or four years away from the project, enjoy getting to think about and see people dicussing her OCs again. Two, if she does intend to do more with the comic, either by expanding the canon or adapting it (or having someone else do it), showing that it's getting engagement on a new, seemingly more relevant platform in 2024 might help her demonstrate that there is a current audience for it. And actually, I wonder if being able to say that it was popular when it was the most-funded webcomic Kickstarter in 2016 and is successful on this other site in 2025 might make the case that the comic is evergreen in its popularity and will always find an audience so it should be made into a show that can be sold multiple times to various streaming platforms over its lifespan -- or, you know, some shit like that. Then again, is 250k-ish views on that site popular? Just to clear I do not know.
Of course, I also don't know this woman, and these are only some theories based upon, like, how things seem to work. I've never truly engaged with Webtoon because like, I already read this comic 90 times. And certainly my initial reaction was "why would you read this week-by-week on Webtoon when the entire comic is totally free right now both here and here?" So maybe there is something about the community reading experience, week by week at a regular pace, that is appealing to readers. I never got that experience; I lived through a maddening yearslong cycle of anticipation and regret. But maybe this steady year or two of posting will be healthier for whoever is reading it there.
Then again,
I’m posting the Parse triology to Webtoon over the next few weeks how do you think Webtoons readers will handle it? Comment below! (doesn’t even wait for an answer) it’s been nearly a decade—I’m a decade older—the fact that some people reading in 2015 didn’t understand that Parse was a good character but a damaged person who was actively bad for jack
Wait, excuse me, HOW was he bad for Jack???? The comic never tells us this actually? You know what, NOT TODAY, I'll see all of you in hell.

I think there has only been 3 times in fiction where I've actually wanted a non-evil character to die for plot reasons and I wanted to discuss all three today.
[Spoilers for Amanda the Adventurer, Madoka Magica, and Toilet Bound Hanako Kun]
First up is Homura Akemi. I feel like this series has proven that no matter what Homura is not going to get an ending where she will find happiness. She is just destined to suffer. Poor girl was literally begging to die. Her death would be very sad but all and all I think if this series is really going to stick to the "Homura never gets a happy ending" pipeline I'd rather they just kill her off in the fourth movie rather than giving it an ending where you know she'll be constantly suffering. Or from forcing us to watch her suffer for another couple of hours. Like... in reality I'd want her to get a happy ending but at this point I feel like she should just probably be put at peace. Like be saved by the law of cycles or something. That's the best ending.
Then we'll talk about Yashiro Nene. I do not want Nene to die. I really don't want her die. But I think that's where this series is going. It feels like 90% of the manga has just been showing us exactly why Nene's fate can but shouldn't be changed. Mainly through Hanako's own backstory as the only one who had his lifespan extended past it's natural expiration. Literally all of this series' conflict and tragedy is caused by the ripple effect of Hanako's life being extended. Heck, in volume 19 Nene herself realizes this and tells Hanako that he should stop trying to expand her lifespan. She doesn't want to die, but she sees that the horrific consequences of changing someone's predestined fate are not worth it because they bring harm to literally everyone she cares about. I love Nene. She's one of my favorite characters ever. Obviously I don't want her to die. But this series has shown us the absolutely horrific consequences that would come about if she were to live that make us kind of agree with Nene. It's not worth it.
Finally, Amanda from Amanda the Adventurer. Purely because I don't see an ending where she actually escapes the tapes and gets to live as Rebecca again. I predict this series is going to end with us simply letting her soul free so it can pass on peacefully and she won't be trapped in literal hell anymore.
Technically I don't want any of these three characters to die, it's more like the worldbuilding of all three series has lead me to believe that their death would be the most peaceful ending for them and those around them. BUT I'D LIKE TO RESPECTFULLY ASK MY FAVORITE SERIES TO STOP PUTTING MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS IN THESE HORRIBLE SITUATIONS WHERE DEATH IS SOMEHOW A BETTER ENDING THEN LIVING PLEASE!

Genshin Impact Kami Scaramouche Alternate Universe
Or GIKSAU for short A short world building post of what it would look like if The Balladeer won
Right so let's talk about Scaramouche. As much as we adore him being Wanderer I feel as though we brush past his godhood far too quickly, I am here to correct that error with an AU.
What if he won? What would he do?
This blog will basically be my interpretation on what could happen, however there are plenty of other timelines that I may briefly mention.
He wouldn't enjoy endless power for long, the Tsaritsa still wants the Archon's Gnosis for whatever reason, and I highly doubt she'd just let him have it. His grace period lasts for a few days at most. He will be in a constant state of anxiety when the Fatui inevitably make their move to take his Gnosis back. On the surface, the Fatui have total control over Sumeru, but underneath that mist of deception is a tense stand-off between Scaramouche and an army. Both sides awaiting for the other's first move.
A fight between Harbingers will come eventually.
Scaramouche needs to plan carefully. Dottore made him, and he can take him apart just as easily.
As much as Scaramouche would adore waging war against the Electro Archon, he must focus on the war currently knocking down his door.
Dwelling on that could take years off of my lifespan so let's move onto something ever so slightly less tense.
As intense as the Fatui can be, it's expected that the people are affected too. Sumeru, known for its colourful culture has taken a bleak turn. The colours are darker, the air crackles with something suffocating, and it's already beginning to become dystopian. Even the forests have gotten darker.
The only "safe" place is the desert. Plenty of people have fled to Aaru Village to escape the wrath of the Fatui. Rations are slimmer, entitlement is at an all time high, and the village is overpopulating.
So many still held out hope for Lesser Lord Kusanali, but that hope was swiftly stomped out during her public execution.
The Sages cannot even celebrate their victory. After discovering their plans to manipulate Scaramouche, the god decided to make an example out of Azar. Not one of the Sages will step a foot out of line now.
The culture would not change overnight, but Inazuman inspired themes would begin popping up in everyday fashion, architecture and cuisine. The mixture of two separate cultures aren't always smooth, but Scaramouche's underlings find a way to make it work.
The city would expand, aristocrats from Snezhnaya finding their new vacation home, or some moving permanently. The higher class would take over the city in no time, and the remaining Sumeru residents must adapt if they wish to stay. Dori has certainly been having a lovely time engaging with more people with her acquired tastes.
The arts have not completely died, but it is more or less preserved for the higher class. Scaramouche could care less, this is more of the doing of the people, it's considered a great honour if he shows up for a performance. Zubayr Theatre has been completely renovated, it's one of the only places without an Inazuman touch to it. Nilou fought tooth and nail to keep it that way.
Nilou is still praised for her stunning performances, but it's always spoken in a condescending manner. Very similar to how obnoxious tourists speak to the residents. The theatre seats are always full, the only reason being so that the aristocrats can claim to be cultured. Poor Nilou being used as an object for someone to brag about. Her passion for dancing has nearly been drained from her, the only time she's happy is when she's dancing with the children of Aaru village.
Don't think I've forgotten about Haypasia. In honour of her being Scaramouche's first follower, she has been appointed as the High Priestess of Sumeru. Her sermons are passionately insane, speaking of sacrificing their mind to their god, purging their own human emotions. Only the extremists seem to appear to the temple regularly.
Soon a new face will arrive some time after, when Scaramouche has asserted his dominance over the nation. You will witness first hand of the unspoken truths of the city.
