Non transmitigation au where Shen Yuan auditions for a part in PIDW on a lark when it gets a live action adaptation, not thinking he’ll actually get a part (he just wanted to be able to say he did it okay? He was dated okay??! He was not dared he just thought it’d be neat, but he’ll admit to nothing.) and, much to his horror, ends up cast as Shen Qingqiu.

He somehow accidentally makes Shen Qingqiu so likable that he’s the most popular character. The fandom goes feral over him. He becomes famous. New fans are joining the bandwagon in droves to watch him.

And all the while, Shen Yuan is frantically trying to pretend he isn’t the most notorious anti fan troll to clown on the internet. He has never heard of PIDW before what do you mean Peerless Cucumber whomst?

Ngl my fav thing to think about, is immortality and nations. Like, over multiple centuries and hundreds of personifications, do you think the nations themselves started having traditions? Maybe some that were specific to certain regions of the world? Like maybe personifications in Asia have different traditions on how they do treaties and alliances than the traditions for nations in Europe, like its fr so interesting to think about

I wanna apply the whole Tara Gillespie saga to Airplane tbh. I wanna know about the guys impersonating Airplane for clout and book deals after he died. I wanna know about the guys impersonating Cucumber as rage-bait getting scooped by his family's lawyers/detectives. The in universe mystery solving YouTubers and the very creative death threats they get from these imposters despite the fact they aren't doing anything to not get caught XD

I was specifically imagining a scenario where Shang Qinghua realizes he's in a fanfic ("that's Hatsune Miku?!?" type of situation) and his point of reference is that early aughts style where you argue with the characters in the a/ns like they're actors who aren't getting paid enough, for which he would do his best Cucumber-bro impression until he realized that a) the other characters can hear him and b) he can't hear any type of non-diagetic response. "Oh, so I'm not even an important enough character to bully? That's fine. Being a side character suits me just fine!! I'll roller skate all around and through your plot, you rude ass author, just give me a sec to invent roller skates first!!!"

Ironically his anxiety has gone wayyy down from not being in something that he wrote. Some Cucumber might point out that his early fans were trained on the wall-to-wall whump of the Disciple Arc, but honestly? Airplane is way less annoying when he's moderately dissociating. Leave him be.

demon girl tina who shaves her horns down, who tries to be everything a demon isn’t. never angry, never pressed, sweet and easygoing. perfect in every sense of the term. who’s traumatized from purgatory, who’s afraid of losing what she loves as much as she’s afraid of being shunned by who she loves for what she is. for all the imperfections that fracture her perfect image. who craves trust, a place to belong, the secret of who she is just bubbling under the surface, shaved down and hidden just underneath the cat ears she wears.

human girl bagi who embraces imperfection, who loves with loyalty and longevity. who would go to the ends of the earth for her loved ones, knowing their worst sins, their terrible crimes, and going I will love you anyway. I will be there for you anyway. who’s best friend is a demon, who she knows is a demon, who she met at his worst, and wouldn’t let him go through it alone. who understands the importance of secrets, which means she knows the value of honesty, and is ready to lay out all her truths once she cares about someone enough, trusts them enough.

tina getting flighty and nervous when she’s told that it’s love what bagi feels - not because she doesn’t feel the same, but because she does, and it’s all she’s ever wanted, and isn’t that just terrifying? because she doesn’t think she fully deserves it. not yet at least! and she doesn’t want to lose it. imperfect, clumsy, secretly a demon tina, still processing purgatory and everything that came before, so afraid because she believes she can’t measure up. once she’s worked on herself, once she’s perfect, she says. once she stops panicking at purgatory flashbacks, once she stops losing her temper, once she can provide stability, once she’s shaved her horns and they stop growing back - then she’ll be ready. as soon as she’s made herself into something easily lovable.

bagi listens to tina as she spills some of this to her, under the moonlight along the beach. not quite all her worries, but some, just like she had given not quite her whole heart, but a part of it, in that room that represents bagi’s mind. and bagi doesn’t press for more than what she’ll give, because she cherishes what has been given already, because she’s in no rush and has no where else to go, because above all else, she’s in love and willing to wait. and in the meantime, she’ll reassure tina that she doesn’t want perfection - she just wants tina the way she is.

Real shit guys:

I understand the appeal of Shen Yuan having a shrine of Luo Binghe merch however it is cannon that he read PIDW in 20 days then died.

So I question the validity of him being able to accumulate large amounts of merch(and have time to set it up) in his already rigorous reading schedule (which was anywhere from 580wpm to 725wpm a for 23 hours every day factoring in ONE SINGLE HOUR A DAY for him to do anything other than read)

So idk guys, Binghe merch shrine just might it be feasible, unless Shen Yuan somehow has 48 hours in a day.

i know hoyo is setting up rhine to have good intent and whatever in her trying to 'save' khaneri'ah or whatever; but i REALLY hope they stay with the cruel persona thats been built up for her. because it would be so wonderful to see a character who had good intent in the beginning just get absolutely corrupted; with the inability to ever go back to that prior state purely because of what had happened. also because there is NO way in her turning back after all that shit

Went scavenging for rabid screenshots and drained my soul along the way so here's my silly nitpick of their nitpick

The academies (almost) align with colleges age-wise (I am once again asking why they chose 17 as the majority cast's age), but the Beacon era is littered with tropes exclusive to high school settings, like shoving people into lockers, school uniforms, insta-crushes, food fights, and getting ready for prom

It's little wonder why people confuse Beacon Academy for a high school. All the high school hallmarks are there yet not a single student is pulling an all nighter with the help of redbull, cigarettes, and anxiety-induced insomnia

Side note: are the Academies confirmed 4-year programs or is that an assumption?
