Will you be continuing your SU AU comic?

I updated twice in like April, it hasn't even been that long since then. I've gone way longer between updates, and I even recently posted about how I planned to continue with the series going forward. I'm just genuinely a bit confused because I've been active, I've mentioned continuing in one of my more recent posts (I just checked, literally three posts ago), and I've always said that I will alert people if I decide to quit.

This probably comes across as me being short, and I apologise for that. It's just a bit strange that I tend to get these kinds of messages when I'm somewhat active, but not when I only update once a year for a few years.

Blah, but anyway I'm using this ask as an excuse to let people know that I'm getting my gallbladder removed shortly, sometime in the next month. The pain has been almost unbearable and I was in the hospital yesterday for it. So it WILL be a little slow going, but since for a few years I only updated the comic once a year, I figured you'd all be understanding <3 Thank you for reaching out, even if it did confuse me. I appreciate the engagement, and I appreciate people enjoying my comic enough to wonder.

i just realized. i feel like the saints could use someone on their side w like. actual medical knowledge? not just like someone who can do chemistry/drug making (like laura). i mean like. someone who has knowledge of effects and can perform some procedures when needed. like sure in the context of the game you just respawn at the hospital, but in the context of a story, wouldn’t you want someone who can sew up wounds effectively, knows how to properly tourniquet injuries, has a more encyclopedic knowledge of drugs and injuries and how to deal w them? like we saw how effective the saints are in this situation when johnny got stabbed in sr2 (yeah that insane car ride to the hospital was just a game mechanic/they were getting chased but still). a later mission proves they’re just sitting ducks in a hospital anyway. wouldn’t you want someone on standby if/when your insurance fraud gets a lil too dangerous.

anyway i’m just saying this bc like. depending on your canon/interpretation the saints potentially get two computer geniuses (kinzie and matt, and even shaundi canonically has a good amount of computer knowledge), but like who’s their medic. sure i bet they’ve all got some passing idea of what to do in some situations but god forbid someone need emergency treatment when there’s nowhere to go

(I'm placing this as being before Two Face's injuries. I can imagine Harvey's appendix bursting or something else like that. ) Gilda slammed the car door shut, power walking to the elevator, pressing the "Up" button angrily. "Come on, come on!" she muttered. The second the door opened, Gilda went to the receptionist, taking her ID out. "I'm here to see my husband. What room is he in?" she said hurriedly. The receptionist shook her head, clearly used to this behavior. "Room 112, Mrs. Dent. Your husband is going to be okay." she answered. Gilda placed her ID back into her purse and walked down the hall, trying not to run. "What happened! Gordon called me! What did you do now! Are you ill? Did you injure yourself?" Gilda rushed out, placing her bag on the table. Gilda put her palm on Harvey's forehead. She sighed. "You're going to kill me one of these days!"

All was right with the world for a moment until he realized he still owed her one hell of an explanation.

He sat up on his elbows.

"There was... someone waiting for me at my car. I guess it serves me right for not carpooling."

Harvey loved Gotham deeply, all the way down to the ugly parts - but he would never imagine himself immune to the worst of it.

"I walked out there, some dude tells me I'm going to pay for putting his cousin away, and then I --- didn't move fast enough. He stuck me with a knife, and I --- I don't really remember."

So he got stabbed. So it happens in Gotham. So he's been District Attorney for what, a week? Serves him right, serves him right.

He hadn't exactly been popular as a prosecutor - meaning he was exceedingly good at it. His first few actions as District Attorney had already shaken things up considerably. Digging out old cases, going after the big guys - making himself a thorn in the heel of every big-name gangster in Gotham.

It was... outstanding, really, but Harvey couldn't help feeling guilty. He'd gotten stabbed, for God's sake. That was no way to prove to his wife he was being careful or staying safe. What was next? Would he need to carry a gun? Is that how terrible Gotham was?

"I had a feeling if Jim told you everything, you'd kick someone's ass about it. I'm sorry I did something stupid like that, though. I really should just be honest with you."

He grabbed her hand in his own and kissed it.

"I have the week off to heal up, at least."
