Hello friends!

🍉I am Mahmoud Ayyad, a Palestinian from the besieged and destroyed Gaza 😭😭, coming from a family of young children, women and elderly ❤❤ who have been suffering😭😭 for 300 difficult days of an aggressive war. Our lives are harsh because we lack all the basic necessities of life. Everything has become scarce and difficult to obtain. There is no food, no water, no medicine.

So, I ask you to help me keep my family safe and alive, especially after we lost all our sources of livelihood.

Please do not leave my family to struggle and suffer these difficult days alone. 🏳️‍🌈 SELF PORTRAIT - PRIDE 2024 🏳️‍🌈

Late for Pride month and Disability Pride month but it's finally done!

For the longest time I've been unhappy with my art because what happened to be easier on my hands ended up giving people the wrong impression of looking "clean".

So with my official jump into Clip Studio Pro, and spending a long time testing out brushes, I could finally change that... though it does get harder on my hands...

My art isn't supposed to look clean, and I've always liked my sketches better than the finished product. It's also why I do traditional art still.

Fun fact, this sketch was originally from last year. I just had so many WIPs unfinished—

GLOBAL LIBERATION.

I've been very active about this in all the social media platforms I'm in. It's hard to say anything that hasn't been said before, but as an artist I feel responsible to do something, especially as on Instagram stories vanish after a while.

In the piece there's only some of the flags of many countries (Palestine, Sudan, Congo, West Papua and Kanaky) that have been put under extreme suffering, but this piece is for ALL countries suffering: Hawai'i, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Yemen...

Here's a master document on support and resources for these countries, by Seaweedlagoon on Twitter. It's being actively updated.

WILL ALWAYS EXIST [PRIDE 2024]

Been a while since I last posted eh? College and burnout does that to you, on top of moving houses.

I feel like I need to explain the existence of Monoceros:

All my characters have a story, have lore, they all embody something. For Monoceros (they/he), there's no lore. They embody an aspect of being trans, and while they're my character he's meant to embody something more impersonal, a collective, truly, an aspect of transness out of multiple ways of being trans, rather than just my own experiences livelihood. Unicorns are a queer symbol, so Monoceros being an unicorn fits.

There are people with characters that embody a specific subject, and Monoceros is mine. For more impersonal pieces.

For the piece itself, it was meant to be part of a local Pride zine, but I wasn't able to meet the deadline. It had queer freedom as a theme to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution. Red carnations are, because of that, a symbol of resistance, freedom and antifascism. They're also my favourite flowers, so here's something more personal in the piece.

I designed the tattoo to reflect on this, and honestly might even have it tattooed on myself at some point.
