Terence Donovan was part of the English movement in fashion photography in the sixties and, together with Bailey and Duffy, was a photographer who made the world look at London for inspiration. His refusal to conform to expectation turned the fashion world on its head and left a lasting impact on fashion photography today.
Born in East London in 1936 to a working-class family, Donovan opened his first photographic studio in 1959, and soon became known for doing things that were edgy and original.

wicked was fucking great. goddamnit. a solid 9/10.
#*t#if i were nitpicking i’d say the CGI establishing shots looked bad#but they were on real sets most of the time so it didn’t really make or break the experience#and my god. the CHOREO.#‘dancing through life’ might be some of the best in the movie#second nitpick is they should’ve just ended on the famous shot of elphaba in the sky#but they……chose not to. for some ungodly reason.#whatever. like i said: nitpicks#otherwise it was fantabulous

let me just say that tdpi is one of my least favorite seasons and I deeply dislike most of its canon events, but the cast is one of my favorites to write and analyze
#it’s so much easier for me to think up ideas involving them than any other cast member#they’re like one big. found family? I suppose they do have those vibes if they were done to full potential#basically they’re one big group in my head and I love picking them apart and figuring them out#they’d equally give each other so much shit and (in some cases) stick up for each other. I love how I can just flesh them out more#they’re so underrated but I can’t help loving how much of a chaotic mess they are#the sheer POTENTIAL is wack#even as a kid I connected most with tdpi despite not liking it#I mean. that was the only season I actually wrote a plan for a spin-off season abt#no one else got that kinda treatment#it’s so weird. like I don’t like the season but. there’s so much that can be done for it#that’s what pulls at me#don’t get me wrong I like the other seasons and (most) of its cast tdpi just hits differently bc it sucks lmaoo#kit stuff#total drama#tdpi#total drama pahkitew island#noahtally-famous#on that note who wants to hear abt this supernatural au thingie I thought up involving the tdpi cast— *gets shot*

what are in your opinion mangaka that you are perplexed by that they aren't in the english market yet? since you also read manga in japanese you may have thoughts i wonder?
I’m not even confused anymore just annoyed bc they’re soooo predictable to me I’d be more confused and disoriented if they made it over:
Yuki Kodama: this one IS puzzling to me bc the Kids on The Slope anime was so well received by critics and fans i truly do not understand why no one licensed the manga to give her an in the market. Her one-shots and anthology work like Chiisako no Niwa are so interesting, polished, and delightful. However American pubs are allergic to one shot comps. But she does longer serials too so what is stopping them
Yamaji Ebine: again single volumes is something that barely makes it which screws her over. Love My Life should’ve been brought over already since they finally want to create a proper market for yuri and lesbian manga. I do feel her most recent projects should be eligible candidates for licensing so here’s to hoping…
Ikuemi Ryo: like a lot of Ribon/Margaret artists she should have been part of Shojo Beat in its heyday what I’ve read of hers I think really hits the teenager demo in a way that doesn’t feel condescending
Yumiko Oshima & Ryoko Yamagishi: putting them together bc MY strategy to enter them into the English market is the same. Deluxe editions or affordable comps that they do in Japan won’t work here bc they don’t have nostalgia to back sales. So you pick a multi volume series from each them; Wata No Kuni Hoshi for Oshima and any which one for Yamagishi (as of writing i have no opinion on her serials) these will be mid-price and is to court and generate interest, THEN to truly sell the quality of their storytelling to the people who aren’t yet convinced I make some specially curated greatest hits of their one-shots like the Drunken Dream anthology fantagraphics did for Hagio. That won’t happen unfortunately.

Has anyone ever noticed how every writer character in Bungo Stray Dogs doesn’t have a face?
At least in the anime they have no facial features - in Odasaku’s memory, the writer of the mystery novel and even the person who wrote on the page have little/no identity.
The only one who has confirmed to write a book is Poe, and that’s part of his ability.
Am I grasping at straws? Probably. Is it possible this has no connection? Most likely. Will I overthink this to the point of insanity? Definitely!

#like im really not an expert on politics or any of this stuff but#like one side is the obvious bullshit constant posts by american far right extremists a lot of which are bots#which keep appearing cause i clicked on an american politics tag literally once cause i was curious about trump being shot at#the other side is the literally weirdest takes on socialism and communism and stuff also looking like theyre from some sort of extremists#like again im really not an expert but some of the stuff they say does sound a bit odd#sometimes it feels like theyre just going a bit too far overcompensating for stuff people believe about communist regimes#but sometimes when theyre like actually stalinism was great and didnt kill millions of people its like um#yes the west definitely overeggagerates how bad it was compared to western countries but#you know it isnt just one or the other like do these people understand the concept of nuance#actually its weird causr they often read like they do thet just think so and so famous communist dictator was great anyway#i mean the vast majority of people on tumblr are probably really closer to me some sort of normal left#like more left than labour but not into extremist communist authoritarianism#like its so dumb how people are like oglh its left wing it cant be authoritarian#like literally most of my politics knowledge comes from school ive literally taken one module at uni#of course theres all sorts of people in the world who have all sorts of ideas about politics#some of which are a lot weirder to me than others#its just weird that so many of these posts keep showing up in my recvomended#which is full of rubbish but thats tumblr isnt it the whole website is thats why theys not really any blogs i follow im not actually intere#also all that american politics discourse im particularly relieved to know nothing about and only be seeing the tip of the iceberg

This scene has probably been one of the most requested ones since I started doing these Muppet Princess Bride illustrations, but I held off attempting it for the longest time because I had no idea if I could pull off Miss Piggy's famous karate chop, and the shot of Kermit falling down the hill. But after hunkering down and putting pen to (digital) paper I managed to get something I'm pretty proud of!
Honestly, I'd love to see Muppet Princess Bride become a reality if only because I wanna see them huck Kermit down a hill. Muppets being thrown is peak comedy to me.
