Il risultato è un corpus di immagini che, combinando lo stile grintoso di Waplington con il gusto per l'haute couture di Mizrahi, offre uno sguardo su quegli anni di sfilate dominati dalle top model tra cui Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington e Naomi Campbell. Allo stesso tempo Waplington documenta la vita notturna selvaggiamente creativa della New York di quegli anni alternando alle immagini di moda gli scatti realizzati in alcuni dei club più equivoci della città, come il Pyramid Club e Save the Robots.

Terence Donovan was part of the English movement in fashion photography in the sixties and, together with Bailey and Duffy, was a photographer who made the world look at London for inspiration. Born in East London in 1936 to a working-class family, Donovan opened his first photographic studio in 1959, and soon became known for doing things that were edgy and original.
