thinking about making my own “what if spamton never left/stayed with tenna” au… hmmmmm (kind of long & nonsensical youve been warned)

sorry this might be Very Very long. and cringe. anyways the awesome thing about making aus i get to play toys and do whatever i want. sorry if none of this makes sense or comes off as Insanely OOC (ALSO IM NOT A WRITER) im just shitting out ideas as they come to me. (ill draw all of this out eventually. maybe. lol.)

starting out with spamtons benefactor. for my take on this au - spamton never finds a benefactor. whoops! he’s stuck as an unsuccessful salesman - still just the “Spam Mail Guy”. He relies on the help of his addison friends to get by (along with running a few scams on the side). You know how it is, he’s just a little… unlucky. but he’ll get his big break. sooner or later. on a sidenote: to me i see the dynamic between the addisons and spamton similar to Chuck and Jimmy McGill. you know what i mean. especially after spamton “makes it big”. whatever moving on.

eventually, word gets out that THE Mr. Ant Tenna, host and ruler of TV WORLD! is visiting cyber city. (for what? business probably idk maybe his ratings are a little lower than hed like and hes looking for help or something. trying to stay relevant or whatever idk) of course, the addisons are absolutely BUZZING about this. theyre insanely excited - if they could arrange a meeting with him they could find new business opportunities! a chance to collaborate with one of dark world’s hottest celebrities! get on tv!! oh, this is great!! they leave spamton out of the loop though - not like he’d really need to know anyways. hes not ready for business with a Big Shot like Mr. Tenna, why tell him? he’d just mess it up for all of them. they cant risk fucking this up. not with spamton.

spamton if course is eavesdropping in on them anyways, and hearing all of this… i mean, how are you supposed to feel?? knowing your only friends- your only Family dont believe in you. they never have. of course he gets upset. he’s angry. you know what? screw those guys, screw this tenna guy - screw all of them. fuck it. he’ll be sure to give this Big TV Business Guy a good impression of the addisons - hell, he is one after all. maybe scam him out of a few bucks while he’s at it too.

somehow. Somehow spamton manages to get to tenna first before the others do. and convinces him hes some Hotshot Big Business Guy from cyber world. He spews some nonsense bs about Business and Internet, about how he, personally, Wants To Help Tenna. about how He WANTS to work for HIM. talking about how he knows the hottest thing that’ll keep crts in style, flattering and reassuring tenna, telling him exactly what he thinks he wants to hear, whatever. it doesnt take much to butter up this freakishly tall tv guy apparently, which makes things very, very easy for spamton. haha, sucker!!

and tenna… is Instantly charmed 🌸💐 wow!!! He buys all of it, no questions asked - fully 100% believes everything spamton told him. He has the confidence, the charisma- it must be true! he certainly looks the part - and why would anyone lie on the internet?! oh, its perfect! That kind of drive, that kind of passion and initiative is EXACTLY what hes looking for! and he hires spamton on the spot. He doesnt even give him a chance to back out, he just enthusiastically drags him along to tv world.

spamton didnt think that would actually work. this is too easy!! theres absolutely no way he actually fell for all of that bullshit? and yet he did.

uhhh not exactly sure What happens but somehow they end up actually forrealsies working together, spamton had conned his way into becoming tenna’s business partner. he had planned to drop tenna as soon as he managed to steal his information and funds lmfao. yet he finds real success and… happiness? working alongside tenna. the two quickly grow close, and find they enjoy each others company outside of just business affairs. tenna doesnt treat him like he’s beneath him. like he’s someone to look down on or be pitied. he treats him like an equal. sure, their whole partnership might have been built on a lie, but tenna doesn’t need to know that. and he never will. now that spamton found real success, his past will totally never haunt him or come back to blow up in his face right? right??? haha!!!

okay im getting lazier writing this but uhhh the addisons grow jealous/resentful of spamton, they Know he did something to somehow strike a deal with tenna - i mean, seriously, how the hell does a nobody like spamton suddenly just… work with a huge celebrity like tenna? out of nowhere?? but theyre not sure What. and they all abandon him for the slime </3 with no real connections left in cyber city spamton decides to stay in tv world. ramb knows of spamton, spam was an infamous conman back in cyber city after all - but who’s he to ruin a good thing? tenna looks so happy after all, so he keeps quiet. but he knows and spamton knows. spamton hates him (sorry ramb) and yet finds comfort in ramb, the one guy who actually seems to know he’s secretly a huge fraud. idk its complicated.

unfortunately for them all tenna still gets unplugged - he doesnt blame spamton, he truly believes he tried his best but it seems like even help from a hotshot like spam couldnt save his ratings. skip to the events of ch3 (spamton isnt in ch2 cyberworld anymore btw but the addisons all make petty comments/references about him) -> tv world is back in business baby!! things proceed as mostly normal, with the exception of Spamton being there co-hosting with tenna (he never left, after all!) ramb still manages the point shop. at some point after the second board, spamton says he has to go do something and leaves, so the ch3 doomboard happens without him.

instead of spamton’s dressing room being in the green room its hidden away backstage behind puzzles and whatever, the deeper you go in you find clues about spamton’s past, how his entire image is built on lies, how guilty he feels. whatever. just random “diary” entries of his i guess, dwelling into his feelings on tenna, on himself, the addisons… anyways i think this all eventually leads up to a hidden (and optional) boss fight - now that you’ve found out his secrets he’s gotta kill you. no hard feelings!! he just cant have you telling tenna, that would ruin EVERYTHING!! everything he worked so hard for, for him!! for you!!! and you just wanna tear it all down?!? didn’t they ever tell you to not pay attention to the man behind the curtain?! youre ruining the MOVIE MAGIC!!!

he fights you as spamton ex - showing off his latest and greatest upgrades! (just a bunch of tacky stage props and costumes mashed together to form a taller “Body” while being suspended from the ceiling. moving around like an unwanted puppet. haha. still looks & behaves eerily similar to spamton neo) he’s still the optional secret shadow crystal boss and you can still get the shadow mantle as usual haha. still trying to figure out how that works out. or how to shove in tenna finding out spamton’s a fraud (its ok he forgives him. but he still gets mad <3) the only thing that fighting spamton affects is whether he shows up to fight alongside tenna or not for tenna’s final boss fight lol. only gets recruited if tenna gets recruited and leaves if tenna leaves (sorry theyre a package deal. a bonded pair. Do Not Separate.)

again none of this makes sense and its souper ooc but whatevar i needed to get this out.
