Shipping is fun and all but I swear every single time someone makes a comment, whether as a joke or in a legitimate analysis, about there being "no other explanation" for a pair's interactions, I lose just a bit more of my sanity

Like, no, you guys don't get it. Romance is not about the Amount of devotion, it's about the COLOR. the FLAVOR of it all. a character can be just as devoted to their platonic friend as they are to their romantic partner, and they don't love either of them more, just differently.

But because the majority of people still have it stuck in their minds that romance exists on the highest tier of love, I'm stuck seeing endless takes that boil down to "these two care about each other too much for it to NOT be romantic" as if that's the core determining factor to how literally any of this works

In conclusion: stop telling me that I don't understand the story if I don't interpret the leads as romantic, I am TIRED

I recently had to do a project in one of my psych classes, and man, I knew that CBT was used for every little thing, but seeing over and over, "do CBT! CBT is the best for every mental illness!" was so jarring. I'm absolutely biased because of my own experiences, but I just don't think it's as universal a treatment model as it's touted.

If you didn't benefit from CBT, it's not because you're lazy or didn't try hard enough or lacked intelligence or foresight into your own needs. Frankly, it's a therapy model that (I think) shouldn't be the only readily-accessible model and among the only therapy models covered by insurance. Some of us should not be treated in a CBT model and that's okay. It's not a sign of poor character or unreasonable demands, and if you don't think it's a model that works for you, then it's your right to express that!

Honestly, I don’t get why sports aren’t segregated on skill, strength and ability. Cos segregating them based on gender clearly has huge problems, especially as the world is entering a moral panic about the existence of trans people.

Like at so many Olympics there is a debate that so often targets cis women who have elevated testosterone levels. Not through doping or anything, but cos their bodies naturally produce higher amounts of testosterone. You know, it’s almost like women are a wide and varied group of individuals and not a monolith that you can fit into one tiny box.

A few years ago, I remember two cis women being told to compete as women in the Olympics they had to take testosterone suppressants as there is now a testosterone limit on female athletes in certain sports (not sure about all).

So they are effectively expecting someone to take medication into their perfectly healthy body to reduce the amount of a hormone their body naturally produces in order to compete as a woman in the Olympics.

And sure, some of these people may have intersex conditions. But I feel this is all the more reason to segregate sport based on skill, strength and ability. Cos our present model requires invasive tests, unnecessary medications for those who perform outside of the female average and as per usual which group do these policies impact the most. Is it men? No, as always it is women.

So much of this debate is framed around protecting women, but the costs seems to always be this extreme invasiveness. And you can’t even blame trans people for this. Like you will get anti-trans people in the media who claim it is our existence that has necessitated this. But even without trans people, intersex individuals would exist and to detect them would require the same levels of invasiveness. Invasiveness where women would still be the target. Not to mention the racism that so often overlaps with this. Look at all the cases in past Olympic Games where this has been an issue, so often it is women of colour. Very very rarely is it ever a white person. And some of these people such as Imane Khelif come from countries where being trans is illegal. So if her birth certificate and passport say female in a country where there is no legal mechanism to change that, what does that say about her gender as assigned at birth despite all the media outlets and anti-trans individuals screaming she is “biologically male”.

Matching people on skill, strength and ability makes far more sense in my opinion. It would get rid of so many issues and make sports more inclusive and seen as safety seems to be a huge focus of this debate. It would do that safely. However, I should note any sport where the aim is to punch each other in face isn’t going to be 100% safe.

This panel from chapter 222 states that "ANBU is under Lord Hokage's direct control... Even we can't arrest him without a warrant."

Fugaku specifically adds that Itachi is in ANBU before explaining "Even we can't arrest him without a warrant". Does this imply that citizens who are not in ANBU can be arrested without a warrant? For negligible reasons?

Because, right before this happens, Yashiro Uchiha insinuates that they'd be willing to send Itachi (who is 11-12 years old at the time) to prison for "speaking nonsense". Tekka calls it "insolence". Inabi joins in as well.

And then what's bailing Itachi out of this is apologizing for his remarks and not for anything else that took place.

To clarify, I am aware that Itachi first attacked them (albeit provoked) and threw a kunai at a wall. But what concerns me here is that of all things, all three cops choose to focus on Itachi's "insolence" of all things. Even Itachi himself seems to understand that what aggravated the three officers were not his other offenses but his remarks about the clan (little bit of ramble in the tags to further explain this).

If you have an entirely different or nuanced opinion, feel free to comment. But screenshotting and then blocking to disagree in a separate post is an obvious no-go.
