This is Goldie! She's a seawing/sandwing that I hallucinated one evening and had to speedrun her ref before the vision ran away.

This lovely woman doesn't really have a backstory yet, but I'm working on it. I have a design that a friend bought me as a gift that I'm going to use for her twink magic husband that probably had a crush on her since first grade. If anyone has ideas or recommendations for a backstory, lmk! I'd love to hear about it. I'm also unsure about her name at the moment, and it'll probs change at my every wim.

the feeling of dissociation

As someone who experiences dissociation, I wanted to illustrate how it felt to me. It often feels like everything I feel and experience is secondhand, like I’m living through this half-alive shell of a creature that isn’t me

I’ve been doing better lately, and mainly made this as a way to help me process things

Get It Out

TW: Body horror, self-harm/self-mutilation, gore It hurt. It hurt so much and Darkheart couldn't take it anymore. They tried so hard to keep themselves upbeat, to hide away from the pain and not let it push through too much. But too many demons have seen through their facade. They couldn't hide it anymore; they couldn't keep ignoring the pain. Hunched over and sluggish feeling, they dragged themselves to the pier within their domain and dropped down to their knees, leaning over the edge while coughing. God, it hurt. It fucking hurt so much. The lump on their forehead had gotten bigger, swelling up to a size they couldn't hide.

The skin had started to break as well, small little holes that leaked their ichor-like blood. They tried to mumble to themselves but all that came out were choked little sobs. They couldn't take it anymore. Their clawed fingers reached up, shaking as they started to rip and tear at the skin. Lines of darkish blood dripped down their face and into the murky waters below. The deity's quick, pained breaths were all that could be heard as they ripped and ripped and ripped, their own ashy flesh being left underneath their nails. They continued their frantic clawing before their claws met with something hard and wobbly. A small gasp escaped their lips as the hard object started to wobble out from the hole in their head they had made, sticking out somewhat like a newly formed branch on a tree. Darkheart sat there on their knees, shaking badly as more of their blood dripped into the waters. With one shaky hand, they reached up and grabbed at the protrusion from their head and started to roughly yank and pull at it. Over and over and over they pulled and pulled, letting out loud pained hisses and snarls before a loud cracking ripped through the silent followed by a choked whimper of pain that escaped the deity's lips. Their body trembled violently as pain coursed through their body, causing them to fall forward onto the pier. It was a miracle they didn't fall into the water. The strange protrusion from their forehead was still grasped within their hand. The pain was slowly fading away, splotches of blood staining their face and hands. The deity's eyes closed. They were tired. They wanted to rest. [DARKHEART is currently unavailable for asks]
