yesterday before leaving for home

me, my brother, his fiance and my mother with her new husband all went to play mini golf

I dont particularly like or dislike it. i'd say im indifferent

i can't really tell you if was bored, understimulated or what but i can tell you spent my time repeating par and four (everyone kept getting holes in 2, so everytime they said they got 2 points i'd be like "Paaarr") i know do stim vocally from time to time but it's rare for me to become aware that im doing so while its going on.

part way thru the game i stopped actually "playing" i was just hitting my ball cause the sound it makes when you hit it is satisfying.

theres not really a point to this story, but to twll you about my minigolf adventure. i will say it's been awhile since i've done a family outing in a group of 5, while my mom, a father figure, my brother and a sister figure. it was interesting to say the least

i must say though im done with road trips for a while

4 hours the the hotel friday

2 hours to the wedding and 2 more back Saturday

4 hours home.

who knows maybe the reason i was stimming so much was cause by then i have spemt 8 un consecutive hours in a car which is essentially a senory deprivation tank on wheels

about the Headcannon/Fan Theory that Branch is Autistic.

I first started thinking it a few years ago after I watched TBGO for the first time I didn't used to interact much with the fandom online back then.

but after I started doing so I was kinda pleasantly surprised to find out there were other people who thought the same I mainly have the HC about Tv show Branch.

due to certain behaviours and Traits specific to the shows but there are still signs for the movie version as well someone even did multiple youtube videos pointing the signs out.

anyway I figured the easiest way to talk about this is to go over the most common signs of Autism as is stated by NHS on their websites that could apply to him.

tho obviously everyone's different someone not having a few of these signs doesn't mean they aren't autistic. Getting Anxious in social situations and finding it hard to make friends or preferring to be on your own plenty of examples sure its also in large part due to the amount of time he spent avoiding people in his youth but it easily can be taken as an A sign as well. in the episode "" Mr Glittercakes "" he invents a fake person just so he can have an excuse to blow off multiple social events and we see he tires of being social pretty quickly and easily. in "" Fun Branch "" hanging out with the snack pack in his Home proves to be too tiring and stressful not to mention him stressfully micro managing everyone at his party at the start of "" Bye Bye Bunker "" also in "" Two's a Cloud "" he was shown being pretty overwhelmed by spending too much time with people and also due to "" too much affection ""

I swear I will never get tired of that clip 😂😂😂😂 anyway it also ties in to the next common sign. Aversion to Physical Contact. again not every person on the spectrum has it but it is fairly common Branch improves after the first film.

but during the first film he'd literally Rather go to Bergen town with Poppy and Risk being eaten than stay in his safe Bunker and have to put up with Hug times from the other Villagers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

and in TBGO he's still fairly averse to them when they travel the multiple dimensions the others are all Horrified when they come across the universe where no one knows what a Hug is.

but Branch smugly suggests he's fine with the thought of them staying in that universe before the others drag him away lol.

also in the clip above he seems to have a mini freak out over too much Hugging and even stims a little from the looks of things.

Liking to plan things carefully before doing them.

bit fat yes in "" Peril Patch "" when playing Golf he planned out every minor detail obsessively before taking a single shot. in "" Branch Bum "" he carefully planned out every detail of their Trip and was only actually concerned with the journey there and the journey back lol.

Not understanding Various social Cues.

this one kinda depends since Pop Troll society is so different from our own but given how in that world its Technically the Norm it does make Branch's lack of understanding a social failing on his part.

such as suggesting cutting the Twins Hair when they were having a Disagreement and Poppy stating that was a Social Cue most people would know.

plus in "" Eye'll Be Watching You "" when Poppy said she needed to think about it first before he could put his safety plants around the village.

Branch mistook that to mean she would just think about it for a few seconds then and there and proceeded to stare at her with an adorable smile lol.

also just him doing generally odd stuff in public like screaming about how they will all die when the water dries up in "" Laugh Out Cloud "" and ya know Harvesting Baby Tears 😂😂😂😂😂😂

in "" The Makeunder "" where Branch Teaches Lownote how to act more like him so he can be less social and cool at Guy Diamond's party.

the things Branch tells him to do includes 1. avoiding eye contact during conversation and then overcompensating with an uncomfortable amount of intense eye contact. 2. talking on and on about your own interests not paying any mind to how Bored the other people who your talking to may be. 3. and doing things things such as laughing at inappropriate times when people are talking aka showing the wrong emotional responses to specific situations and interactions. all of which are things which could be signs in certain individuals.

having a very fixated keen interest in a certain subject and area of expertise.

I'd consider his whole love of safety and traps aka engineering as well given he also builds other stuff such as helping build the Train the "" Cakes on a Train "" episode of Trollstopia.

and various devices such as the machine to pick what their new Holiday will be all of his various complex traps and of course Gary.

Poppy literally Refers to him as a safety nerd in the Birthday episode where she throws him a party where he gets to be the lifeguard its so friggin cute 💖💖💖💖

sure in large part its also due to his past Trauma but it kinda works as both imo he deffo takes a keen interest in this stuff beyond just feeling the need to do it for safety given he actively enjoys it. also Trouble getting your tone of voice to match what your trying to say can be a sign. which we see in one of my favourite moments ever from the first episode of Trollstopia where he tries to be genuine and supportive only to sound like he's being Rude and Sarcastic. anyway those are some reasons and also moments that made me HC him as Autistic I'm not saying it was the writers intent or anything.

I think its more likely just a happy accident that he was written in such a way that some of the fandom interpreted him as having Autism.

Since everyone else has been showing me their Cookie headcanons, I feel like I should show ya’ll some of mine!

1. He’s genderfluid. That guy is not cis in the slightest to me. (he also uses any/all pronouns)

2. He has ADHD and is Autistic!! His attention span is awful and has a shitty memory, just like me 👍 /pos

3. Despite his snarky and rude personality, she LOVES chill and humble games like Minecraft, Animal Crossing, and Tomodachi Life

4. Cookie has tons of vocal stims! Most of them being his vocal warmups you hear in 2015!!

5. For my Cookie design, the black and white “suit” she wears as a causal outfit is actually a dress!!

6. Cookie is also a sucker for lost media. He can spend several hours analyzing it and looking all over the internet to find it!

7. They’re terrible at math. Do not ask them for help on your math homework, you will fail.

8. She frequently goes mini golfing. She’s not great at it, but she has a lot of fun!

9. He can play the clarinet! He never practices though, so when he does decide to play, he sounds really bad.

10. Pretty sure this is canon, but he has such an immature sense of humor. Mention the word ‘balls’ and he’s laughing his ass off.

reminding me of the time i was rocking back and forth on a mini-golf course bench and one of my family members went “stop, you look retarded” and then i stopped doing that stim until I started believing I was autistic and realized that was a really abusive and awful thing for them to say to me

Toys and other items!

Bitty sized items! mostly for minis! but we have:

-

Hides! For mini and fullsized Lamias, might also function as their bed box:

jungle themed(mossy), dessert themed,(rocky) or forest themed(fallen tree limb or stump), normaly a nesting area for mini or fullsize lamias, the fullsize ones can get a little big so be warned! we also have custom and limited time hides too!

Stepping stones! both inside and outside ones, Satyrs love them and it give them something to hop around on when they don’t have anything to climb on!

Wooden building blocks! For more destructive bitties, it can give them something safe to knock over without causing to much damage!

Bells, chimes, and whistles! Some bitties prefer their toys to make noise! May also be good for destructive bitties that prefer the noise!

Seeds and gardening supplies! Some bitties like to garden!

Art supplies! From pencils to paints, carving tools to crayons! Some bitties like to draw or paint!

Puzzle toys! many types and for all sizes! they all have 3 difficulties(low, medium, and high), here are some examples:

wooden lockbox(open with codes that the owner sets that you can put treats inside)

wooden jigsaw puzzle box(that you can put treats inside)

wooden gear puzzle box(you move the gears so that you can turn the crank and open it, you can put treats inside)

Outside toys! We have all sorts of toys, even ones made from large barrels or tires, or both, and a good bit of rope, and empty bottles, here are some examples(Dino bitties tend to love them, but it verys):

A large barrel toy with empty bottles on the inside, it can float under the bitty sinks it, comes in two sizes, small and large

A large tire toy,  its multiple tires made into a ball and some have things inside it to make noise i.e. bells or empty bottles, comes in 3 sizes, small, medium, and large

A large tire with rope, the rope is pulled through to rubber of the tire with large knots at the end, normaly used as a tug of war toy, comes in two sizes, small and large,

And many more, especially more normal ones like:

Balls! Made to be kicked by things with hooves or claws,

Frisbees! Who doesn’t like a good frisbee?

Jump ropes! The Satyrs tend to like these,

Even some outside/yard games like:

horse shoes,

Cornhole,

Ladder toss,

Ring toss,

some mini golf stuff!

Scavenger hunt kits and books on how to set them up,

Items to set up obstacle courses(for a large range of bitty sizes!)

Inside toys/puzzles! Some bittys are to big to use normal toys like a Rubik's cube, so we have them made bigger for them(same with the ones that are too small to use them!):

Stim toys like tangles, pop tubes, monkey noodles, popits, fidget cubes/spinners,

Large playground equipment! These are also made to be bara sized but also thicker and stronger to hold their weight:

Pool toys! We have a pretty sizable selection of pool/water based toys, ones that sink, and ones that float:

Boat toys! comes if many different sizes and they float in water! there are many different kinds from more modern to more fantasy styles,

Sinking Gems/Coins! Shaped like gems/coins, a fav to some Lamias that like to horde things, though they like to horde them too!

Floating Gems/Coins! Same as the above but they float!

Rubber Ducks! They come in many different sizes(from small enough for mini bitties to big enough to be big to baras) and float, there are 2 kinds, ones that screw open to remove water, and ones that are plugged dont let let water inside,

Jumps! We have sized up jumps, sized down jumps, and just normal sized jumps as well:

Cross rail jumps,

Vertical jumps,

Liverpool Jumps,

Wall Jumps,

Oxer Jumps,

Wall and Rail Jumps,

Doll houses and bitty sized furniture! Bitties love having a place to themselves! we have:

Themed houses of various sizes,

houses with things for bitties like monster kid and goner kid bitties! with switches or pressure plates on the floor to turn lights on/off and automatic doors, and bitty sized elevators if they have more than one floor!

of course we have bitty sized furniture! from couches to beds to fridges to chairs to even decorations!

omg thank you!!! right now I'm rotating the entirety of wwdits 2014 in my brain at all times, but I miss the show soooo bad. nandor is my best friend my sweet cheese I need him. I need to paint that mans nails. I need to stim with him. I need to teach him to play the pokemon tcg. I would like to tuck him into his coffin with a blankie and some stuffed animals. I wanna kiss his forehead. yknow what I mean? and I am holding viago's hand and walking through the park with him. we are hanging out on his way to visit his bf anton at his little park ranger station. I will chill at the wolf pack frat house and teach them to play d&d while they go on their date. I want to take deacon mini-golfing. do you get where I'm coming from?

The MAPLE CREEMEES I’m... and oh fuck speaking of B&J’s the flavor graveyard???? Maybe they skip that. Or maybe they don’t? Maybe it’s Bobby’s way of trying to mitigate some of that trauma, idk. Like “a graveyard with... no bones? The graveyard is... fun? The graveyard is literally a place to go to remember things we loved or rediscover things that are gone now?”

I’ve actually never been to Funspot it was Pizza Putt or bust. Also had retro games, ticket counter, jungle gym, etc. plus it was close, and the themed putt putt holes were truly incredible. They had this pyramid you could actually go inside of, my sister and I actually once spent the whole day in there when our parents dropped us off. I think Sam would have been super into that one, and Dean would have been into the one that looked like space and it was always dark and everything was painted in like neon glow-in-the-dark paint.

BUT AAHHH, yes, the flavor graveyard. this just gave me psychic damage anon! graveyards can be fun, they can be filled with happy memories. not just monsters. not just salt and fire and the smell of rotted flesh and musty bones. 

And man I never went to a Pizza putt, but we drove past them sometimes. Funspot was closer to us/right on top of family when we’d go visit so that’s where my mind went to. It’s a lot more hokey, the mini golf is fairly tame but there’s bowling inside and now there’s like ??? some outdoor adventure thing adjacent to Funspot. 

But I feel like they’d eat up these memories, and then John would get his hands back on them and I wonder if they’d remember them as adults. Or if they’d be fainter, like a good dream amid a sea of nightmares.

I found the best Stim/Fidget toy!!!

They’re called squeezamals and they can be found on Amazon, at Wal-Mart, and at Target!!! They best way I can describe it is a cloth covered stress ball shaped like an animal. It’s super mushy, soft, and makes no noise! Took one into my college exam and my psychologist appointment to mush and squish...just amazing! And if you want one but even more discreet than the fist sized one, they have minis on little keychain hooks that are the size of a golf ball! My mom even took mine and after smushing it a couple of times decided she got one...so now she has a pig! I bought the penguin as a backup in case my bat dies or gets lost. Target has special ones like the blue sloth and unicorn and Amazon is the only place I’ve seen the zebra. (I got my bat from Claire’s as part of the Halloween Squeezamals line) pictured below.
