I love ur style I’ve been getting really into scene/emo music and style do you have any tips for dressing scene/emo?

I didnt see this till now ahh! 20 days late answering this jesus…! But Ty, and i do!!

I have this post about finding clothes, this one for gaining the confidence

Then after that, all i can really say is experiment. The key to both are tight clothes imo, skinny jeans, shirts that fit.

The hair is the most crucial imo. A lot of people think emo hair can only be straight but ive seen ppl even style 4c hair to be emo and fucking kill it. Wavy hair, braids, locs, coily, naturally straight, its not exclusive

The biggest thing these ppl have in common are the tighter silhouette and their layered choppy fringe hair. Anything you wear will look emo if your hair is cut that way, its a cheat code

Accessories are way more important in scene than emo bc of how loud it is, but get creative. You dont have to go out and buy a ton of accessories from emo brands n shit. Make some kandi, make some loom beads, put on an obnoxiously loud scarf.

So tl;dr: dont try to copy one person but look at others for inspo and do your own thing. It’ll take a while to find your unique style, but be patient. Took me maybe… 1.5 years

When Jaws of life by pierce the veil came out i loved the song jaws of life so much i poured maybe an hour into making one of these lyric videos. I feel like in the scene/emo community a lot of people are super yearning and nostalgic about earlier years like 2001-2009 but where are my 2014-2019 luvers??

Emo YouTube was fucking lit, some of the best summer albums came out, general pop culture. Maybe it’s because I’ve lived through this and I miss it, But I feel like its a SUPER UNDERRATED era in time.
