HAI scene kid here lawwwl :3 okay so im not a expert in 90s subculture BUT i know there was definitely early emo at least by then? mall goth?and the mcbling aspect that fed into scene was definitely at least starting by then?? those aspects could be worked with i think? pushing this into the scene tags in case anyone knows better than i do

that said id say do it anyway hope that helps xD fr tho i’ve done the same for a setting i had added i just say the timeline was a bit different PLUS it opens it up to fun interactions about what if X cultural aspect interacted with Y thing that it didn’t irl cuz it was too late :3

When you want to make an entire character based on the scene aesthetic for your Y2K story, but the story takes place in 1999, and scene wasn't officially a thing until 2002, so you gotta rethink it.

okay so I did some digging into that MySpace app called nospace and turns out it’s acctually just some new social media set up by crypto/nft ppl hoping to get more people into thier bullshit by specifically marketing to gen z >__> so whilst they’re *probably* not going to like directly steal ur card info or smthn they’re still trying to drag ppl into tech bro pyramid schemes so I’d absolutely stay away
