#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#jin zixuan#wei wuxian#(Trying to not break my own continuity by showing WWX changing outfits in the middle of a comic...I'm doing my best...)#The original line for the third panel was just 'fuck you' which admittedly is a funnier line.#Wei Wuxian really does call JZX a little pretty boy (not in those words but close enough) and then dramatically one-ups him...#Not only that; he tries to use Lan Wangji's headband as a blindfold. Which I think we need to take a moment to analyze.#It's probably easiest to look at this as ship-tease but I think it's far more in line with how WWX's mask is slipping.#He knows full well how poorly touching LWJ's headband went in the past.#But somehow - in this moment of his anger being targeted at JZX - that crucial information is forgotten.#He's got tunnel vision over something so small...and what do we know about emotions that don't suit the supposed cause?#Why that would be displacement. Something is bothering him and it sure is *not* just Jin Zixuan's fancy ass.#WWX came back but he didn't come back the same. It's rather unsettling how it feels like he's putting on a performance of himself here.

Random, but what is one misconception about Marinette that the fandom wholeheartedly believes?
Oof, this is hard, mainly bc the fandom has different sects which have um... varied opinions of Marinette. Do you mean the Miracuclass salters? The Maribat stans? Adrien-only fans or Chloe fans? Lotta variety there.
For the fandom at large I'd say... maybe that Marinette's middle class? At least in canon lmao. Her parents are definitely on the wealthier side - yes, they own a bakery, but given how they live in Paris (Marinette has her own balcony - that type of a house is pretty expensive) and the people she goes to school with (Chloe, the Mayor's daughter, resident Rich Boy Adrien Agreste, Alix who's dad works at the Luvre, etc) I'm betting Francoise Dupont is a private school which costs quite a bit of money. Especially given the ridiculous opportunities she gets (designing for a Gabriel fashion contest, for Jagged Stone and for a famous popstar's kids' band, etc). Given, I'm pretty sure the showrunners have thought through absolutely none of this, but Marinette's at the least upper middle to upper class.

KateKevAaron cohabiting and Katelyn and Kevin automatically putting things up on high shelves just because that’s where there’s space/they’re things they use less etc without considering Aaron can’t fucking reach the top shelf
Aaron constantly having to haul himself onto the counters to reach things down (and also things going unused/buying duplicates frequently because if he can’t see what’s on the top shelf he forgets it exists)
Katelyn gets him a little foldable kitchen step and she even gets it in green for him but it’s too late he’s been a counter climber all his life (and who even has the patience to go get a step every time you need something!!)
Of course if she’s present she offers to get it down for him (he’ll allow this). Kevin thinks it’s funny to watch him struggle but he’ll step in sometimes as an excuse to press himself against Aaron (Aaron is less accepting of Kevin’s help and will try and race him to grab said item because he can dO IT HIMSELF OK)
Basically Aaron Minyard being a victim of his considerably taller partners 😔 extra suffering as he’s the main cook in their house
#he gets the best snuggles from his gazelle and flamingo lovers tho#they’ll change sleeping positions every so often so no one feels left out but they put Aaron in the middle a lot#as he gets cold easiest#and also he tends to have more doubt about their relationship and if he deserves both of them#so they like to sandwich them in reassurance#Kevin runs hot so he likes to be able to stick a leg out the side of the bed if needs be#Katelyn sometimes likes to cuddle her fave stuffed toy too so she likes having a free arm#also Kevin snores really loud and while she’s used to it now it’s not always great when he’s lying right against her ear#let Aaron be the buffer for that#Katelyn spooning Aaron spooning Kevin but because he’s shorter she can tangle her legs with Kevin’s as well#having Thoughts about them again#KateKevAaron

hmmm hit a bump in dog meat,, this one section is really flat and boring and i can’t write around it
#it’s just like they have a nice day and i’m trying to cut it down bc nothing happens and there’s no push for the plot or any feelings#but it’s just reads like a shopping list :/#like i wish i could get rid of it entirely but i need the time jump and the beginning and end of the day - its just the middle that needs#skipping#hoping when i go back to edit it i can spruce it up a little and liven up the pacing#but it’s set a precedent for the rest of the fic and subsequent scenes ://#struggling suddenly on the last lap when this has been one of the easiest fics for me ever considering its length#i refuse to fall at the last hurdle so im going to try and push through to a scene that goes a little easier - maybe a smut one will be a#nice change of pace - and see if that helps#otherwise ill give it a rest and have a look tomorrow afternoon or in a few days time to properly write again#first chapters done at least so i have a full week to get this last 5k sorted and edit the full chapter#stelle yaps

MAYBE !!! and scary would share her experience#but itd make normal more resentful cuz hed be like well it all worked out for you in the end with you and your dad and you mom who all love#you. and then scary would get irked and start to call him out but then now that the bottles been uncorked his resentment would start#spilling out.#“you burned my house down! i thought it was *my* family that had the connection with the doodler ! but why- when- ”#and normal would be so frustrated and he couldnt get his words out and hed refuse to look at scary while she looks at him w/ the hardest#look of conflicted sympathy and pain#and all she could say would be stop comparing yourself to me and shed mean that in the most compassionate way possible and norm would just#be like i know#and then the bus would come and scary would have to go but shed look back and then be like “am i still coming over saturday to play#and him busy crying would just give a thumbs up#god now that i write this out maybe i will draw it i have a little bit of time left why not#to me i think scarys someone normal would have the easiest time being mean to#one because of his latent misogyny and this like unconscious superciliousness he holds towards her yet shes the one receiving the#validation he sorely craves and knowing if theres anyone he could talk to and whos understand what hes going through its her so though he#isnt able to be emotionally vulnerable or engage in a deeper level but he does feel comfortable enough to lash out at her#last pic is if nick woke up post doodlerized and found himself on cassandras couch (where the teens placed him) and shes there to greet him

#I hate that my dysphoria has gotten so much worse since we made the hrt call. like I gave myself permission to acknowledge it in full#and now it's more There than ever.#it's harder with luca back too. he's always been a heavily dysphoric part as well so I think his return to hosting#coinciding with a) unavoidable interaction with the public in a world that views me as a woman because of my hair and voice and chest#and b) accidentally coming out to our friends at school who have been really good about it#I think it's kind of just... been a powderkeg for it getting bad again#I almost cried a week or two ago in walmart because I was looking for boyshort underwear (easiest middle ground in here) and there was not#a single pack that did not have at least one aggressively pink or feminine pair#I'm tired of this and I'm tired of living in a body that is hostile to my attempts to feel somewhat at home in it#I'm tired of this body in general for so many reasons.#anyways. ow.

it takes some time of knowing a character before i can truly understand on how to draw their eyes
#mob's rectangle eyes are a reference to the zeros of the mp logo#and reigens are kinda catty like a fox... at lease in more recent art#and teru.. ok hes just kinda the default but its very noncontroversial- which is how he looks in general...#except for that one time. and that other time.#and ritsus are sharp but rectangular and calculating and to match his brothers but without that hollow in the middle uknow???#anyways one time when i was still developing my artstyle i saw a post warning artists of same face syndrome or at least talking about it#and i was determined ever since. if too many characters have that L nose i start feeling guilty. even tho its the easiest to get along with#anyways i love character design

Recent game related things .. hrmm...
#I do like the inconsistency of the first map. that is actually something older but that I re-found and added to my Game Reference stuff#so that when characters reference where they're from I can be accurate. I like that the whole map is kind of shifted up that way. Where the#actual south part doesnt even count as the south since its Too Far and Scary lol. and if you say you're from 'the north' thats basically#like.. one single continent. Though some people do make distinctions like 'north midlands' or etc. still. I like the ways that common#language isn't always precisely accurate like that. and thinking about why a culture would classify things a certain way or etc. etc.#The inventory page is so funny to me because it's literally just the BASe like.. sample layout just to make sure it works properly with 0#actual design into it. just colored rectangles thrown together in MS paint. but what if I like... left it like that.. what if all the other#art in the game and UI is like stylized and fully matching BUT the inventory/journal/etc. screens I just left as plain colored blocks#with random misalignments and black spots and etc gjhbhjj... It looks unfinished in a Funny Contrast way to me.#the wordcounts are just like... my past few days of writing.. I am still not getting 2200 words a day done or whatever I needed. I'm lucky#if it's even half of that .... tee hee.. :3c I do also keep having appointments and other things going on but..grrr...#The full map of the area is probably not necessary but I thought it would be more realisitc if people were able to reference things. Like i#you have people all living in a city area probably at some point someone might mention a neighboring city or some landmark nearby#or etc. so I thought having at least the basic names of what's around for reference would be sensible. A side character mentioning#'oh yeah I don't live here full time I just travel from Marisene sometimes' or whatever makes it seem more like a Real#Fleshed Out Place than people just making vague references like 'the river' or 'i come from a city nearby' or 'i went to a place somewhere#around here' or 'the other city' or etc. lol.. Especially since global cities/global areas are weird as they operate almost like an#independent country within their walls. so it's like a micro country inside of another country usually. just plopped down in some agreed#upon plot of land that won't be too disruptive to the main country around it. That could get very complex depending on the cultural and#political backdrop of where they're placed (though obviously they try to choose the 'easiest' areas possible for it). Asen is a very mild#country without much history of conflict or anything so it's fine. But still interesting that Sifeh and the entire branched out global area#border three other districts of Asen. Which means like 3 times the local representitives you'l have to negotiate with for some major change#or anything. I think one of the 'random characters you can find around the world and have short discussions with just to make the area#feel more populated and real even though theyre not actual important npcs' is going to be a guy who actually serves on the council that#handles running the global areas and he's like.. some perpetually exhausted middle aged elf running around with a clipboard or whatever#ANYWAY...... hrgh... still trying to write when I can....#I WISH so badly that I had the scope for a simple character creation menu and all character interactions would allot for the background#of your player character. And also to have a simple day night cycle where places in the world you explore/people you talk to during the day#have new options or dialogue at night.. BUT alas... I already am so behind on everything as is lol.. aughhh... T o T#As the worlds number one Needless Detail And Complexity Enjoyer i must dilligently prevent myself from adding additional complexity

I think this is one of the most out there KH headcannons I have but wouldn’t it be fun that the reason Ven’s eyes are were green then turned blue (specifically in BBS) was because his darkness was taken out of him.
Or… well… let me explain lol
Like Pre-UX Ven had blue eyes, then he got possessed by Darkness, and his eyes turn green (because yellow and blue mixed together), then once Vanitas was removed his eyes turned back to blue. And now that Ven has his heart returned, they’d be green again since Darkness is back with him.
#I dunno I felt like I needed to throw this one into the internet lol#I have another kh headcannon about eye colours actually#not like changing people’s eye colours like this one#but one time I was thinking about how in contrast to Xehanort the people Luxu possesses retain their eye colour#and I was like ‘is there a hierarchy?’#I imagine grey would be at the bottom#so the easiest to displace#and obviously gold would be at the top#and like impossible to displace#the middle is kinda fuzzy because I haven’t seen enough Luxu vessels to actually rank them yet lol#but also Luxu could just be possessing people differently#or just not using Darkness or something#I dunno just a thought lol#kh#khux#ventus#sometimes i think about khux

you ever think about the fact that link having golden blonde hair and a middle part in ocarina of time probably only happened because it was the 90s and even though it's arguably one of the most memorable designs of link, that hairstyle of his never came back for a reason
