#really had this emphasised in a past relationship where it became a joke that I should#‘put the personality back in the box’#the personality in question being me when I was really happy/energetic/playful#had not yet realised at the time I had adhd but looking back I can see it was just an outlet of pent up energy usually#but it reinforced the idea that I was only loveable when I was the acceptable balance of depressed#quiet withdrawn easy to bear#so yeah I am happier by myself because I’m allowed to be happy in whatever way I want not just the way that is convenient
