this is an insane lore drop to have 4 lessons before the game ends. like what. WHAT

unless they've talked about this before and i missed/forgot about it. idk how much of an effect it'd have on solomon considering the fact that hes immortal, but he was pretty winded after the teleportation/portal spell, so it had to have done something

but imagine if mc learned the ins and outs of the forbidden arts

considering the fact that their lifespan was already altered when they gave some of their life force to beel in the 1st game (and my hcs on thirteen's reaction/response to that here), how much of their life force would they lose ???

and this only makes me even more curious. if thirteen is worried, how bad is it ???

and notice how she said trembling, not melting away. maybe it makes his immunity/resilience to certain things less effective since he's immortal and (probably) can't die unless he's killed? maybe his ability to use his pacts puts more strain on him? we already know that he gets more winded than mc does whenever they use pact magic. or maybe it's just his old age starting to show more when he's physically active which is why he was so winded once he got to babel. idk. i feel like they should give us more than a few crumbs of lore but given the rather things are going, that won't happen

Lucifer

“Isn’t it cute?” You mumble while locking your eyes on the store's biggest teddy bear.

“Hm?”

You stops, suddenly feel embarrassed when Lucifer responds in a tone that is simultaneously surprised and affectionate.

Even though he doesn't think much of your taste, you're no longer in the age of longing for a cute teddy bear.

“Um… never mind…”

He afterward asks if you can go back to the house of lamentation on your own since he has an unforeseen meeting with Diavolo.

He lies, of course.

He can see how much you adore the large, adorable dolls but is too timid to accept one, so the first-born goes to the store again: Lucifer plans to surprise you with the teddy bear!

But the demon runs into an unanticipated issue during the check-out stage.

Where is my credit card?

It was totally stolen by Mammon. Again.

And without his credit card, he would not be able to pay for such an expensive thing.

The doll has already been sold out when Lucifer comes back to the store the following day.

Someone (name Mammon) must foot the bill for this.

However, Mammon will undoubtedly be proud of himself when knows that he was able to foil Lucifer's flirting scheme!

Diavolo

“Isn’t it cute?” You mumble while locking your eyes on the store's biggest teddy bear.

“Yes! It's cute!" Diavolo responds with enthusiasm.

“Do you want it?” And he asks right away.

He is, after all, a genuine sugar daddy.

You also know him well enough to predict what will happen in a few minutes and even what is going through his mind right now. For instance, should I use my credit card to pay for the teddy bear? How wide will MC's smile spread if I bought this? Or I should buy a double doll to be the teddy bear’s friend!?

So you immediately stop him.

You strongly continue that you don't want him to spend money on such an expensive gift. And won't be persuaded to change your mind even if he keeps giving you puppy eyes all day.

Mephistopheles

“Isn’t it cute?” You mumble while locking your eyes on the store's biggest teddy bear.

It's clear that you are unaware that you aren’t with the brothers or the angels but with the ugliest mouth demon.

"Pardon, but what age are you?" scoffs Mephisto. “4?”

His unpleasant words suddenly causes your body to cover in embarrassment as you attempt to ignore it.

But the following morning...

Mammon's vociferous voice causes you to awaken.

And when you open the door with half-open eyes, wonder what has happened—

You see the large present box on the opposite side of the door.

You're shockingly completely awake.

Of course, the teddy bear you mentioned with Mephisto is what’s inside.

If you understand correctly, its size is even bigger than the bear in the store?

"Hello, Mr. Sugar Daddy," is how you greet him in next morning.

In response, He delicately shouts "Ew" and turns away.

Mephistopheles with a lisp as a child. His father hiring a speech therapist to tutor him, never shamed for his impediment but feeling shame nonetheless. A solemn boy, speaking with a quiet voice because he's unable to clearly pronounce his own name, let alone "Prince Diavolo" or "Your Highness."

"Introduce yourself to the prince, son," says his father.

"Me-Mephi-th," his face heats in embarrassment, "Mephith-to,"

His father shoots him a stern look, urging him to complete the introduction with respect.

He utters the title in barely a whisper, "Your highneth." He wants to run and hide.

Mephisto's father leaves them alone in the castle gardens under the watchful eye of Prince Diavolo's governess.

"I always thought the use of titles was so stuffy." says the prince.

Mephisto just shrugs, refusing to look at him.

"But your dad makes you say it, right? He's traditional."

Mephisto sighs miserably in response, bobbing a small nod but still staring at the ground.

The prince is quiet for a moment, until a wide smile spreads across his face, "If you have to use a title, why don't you just call me 'Lord Diavolo' for now, Mephie," he says, "It's easier."

Years of study break Mephisto of his lisp, his speech becoming eloquent and verbose. He had to work hard for something that came so easily to others, why shouldn't he be proud?

Now he only trips over his words on the rare occasion his arrogant mask slips and he's flustered.

But he'd never show that it bothers him beyond the lightest dusting of blush across his cheeks. He's not that shy, self conscious child anymore.

Though the affectionate title of "Lord Diavolo" remains. The Crown Prince still prefers it to any other honorific.

Something happened between Lucifer and Mephistopheles. Maybe they beat the crap out of each other. Maybe the fucked silly style. Maybe they shared a drunken kiss one night thousands of years ago and never managed to bring it up when they're sober. I don't know what, but something happened and Diavolo had something to do with it.

Anyways I'm incredibly normal about these three

Being a high status noble demon in a situation where the cafeteria is closed, and your options are: bring you the food prepared by your personal chef or that the exchange human wants to make some more food so you can have one of their sandwiches.

For Mephisto the choice is clear.

I mean, Mephisto is a demon who has always lived among the greatest luxuries and privileges, wanting to live the humble life so he can get close and spend time with a human. I can imagine him watching Mc eat in the cafeteria with a look of circumstance because he wants to eat with them but doesn't know how to do that because of his status.

He is adorable, Mephisto can be many things, yes, but adorable too.

I love the irony here of Mephisto crashing the date and acting exactly like how Lucifer was acting. Absolutely beautiful! 💯

Sorry but I don't get the appeal of Barbatos or Mephisto. They're rude jerks to us and take the meanness too far with Luci and Solo. 13 doesn't even hate Solo like that and she tries to kill him sometimes!

It's abuse but for some reason nobody really calls it out or takes it seriously? Belphie gets hate even though he actually does love us and Luci and Dia gets called abusive too because he loves Luci.

Fr I don't get why they get joked about and memed on. Barbatos is verbally abusive and put Solo in danger and Mephisto is a jealous incel who likes to publically embarrass Luci.

Don't even get me started on all the unfair hate towards Luke for being bigoted. It's part of his story of learning to grow up and open his mind about other people. It's the whole reason he's in the exchange program! Meanwhile Barbatos and Mephisto are grown ass adult men and don't even want to move on.
