Imagine: I am a MD and going to work in the hospital like this. 😁 Will patients and colleagues like it? What will happen, will happen,…

Do I probably have actual PTSD from the way I was treated by fellow medical students whilst literally unable to escape due to being quarantined with Covid? Yes.
Will those same medical students go on to become doctors with absolutely no consequence or reason to change their behaviour? Also yes.

Despite feeling a little down today, things turned out well. I think it's hard to realise when I am or when I'm not feeling something. In some ways, it's also a relief. I was always afraid that medication would take away my ability to feel. Turns out, that isn't a good symptom. Once I spoke with my doctor about those concerns, we chose a medicine based on my experience with prior drugs. I can feel emotions even when I'm medicated, and that was something I never thought was possible before my current ones.
If you have depression, it's your responsibility to make sure you know what happens when you consume certain drugs. It's your doctors responsibility to listen and determine what drugs might be better for you concerning your personal concerns and needs. If you say nothing and decide to neglect your care, you could be ultimately harming yourself in the long run.
I can only speak from my experience, but I advocate for trying different types of drugs until you find ones that work well for you. Obviously, it's not a perfect system, so you should always go with what works for you. It's easy to feel overwhelmed or afraid, especially when you don't have a good support system or live in a good area where you can trust the professionals.
Just know that there are alternatives and options other than what your PCP might be saying or offering. I know for my own experience that I had to fight for the care I have now. Even if you can't obtain what you need, just try to be aware and care for yourself as best as you know how. Never neglect your mental health. It's okay to have problems.

Still not over the head of cardiology, who said she wouldn't formally diagnose me with dysautonomia because she didn't want me to think of myself as disabled.
As if good vibes and a can-do attitude can stabalize autonomic dysfunction.

"adhd is the easiest disability to have" “sure plenty of people have adhd but most people are faking” “people are abusing the resources that WE need so that’s why i can’t get my adderall!”
there has been an artificial shortage of all adhd medication for the past 4 years in the US. every investigation into this shortage has returned with the unequivocal result that simply nobody thinks we need it enough to solve the problem.
so they point fingers at the “faker” gaming the system to get adderall who “thinks” they have adhd or is “abusing stimulants to get ahead” for a problem that Our system MANUFACTURED.
so we would be at each others throats instead of realizing that our government and big pharma is to blame for all of this. because their First priority is to punish addicts and to punish folks with adhd and to punish anyone who relies on medication. over everything else. even over profit.

What Is The Difference Between A Psychiatrist And A Psychologist?
Psychiatrists are medical doctors who have completed specialty training in psychiatry. They are able to prescribe medications, which is not something that psychologists can do. Psychologists have a doctoral degrees in psychology, and many of them specialize in psychotherapy - helping people work through their problems by talking about them. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who have completed a residency in psychiatry. They are able to prescribe medications. Psychologists are not medical doctors and do not prescribe medications. Psychologists typically have a doctoral degree in psychology
